Bought this product for a friend. My friend managed to produce cannabutter on first attempt very easily, cheesecloth is best used not the strainer in this kit. The butter mold tray sold with this kit in America is not sold with this kit in Europe, hence the big blue one in the second photo. This is also the second revision I believe as the first has rainbow lights and this one has one solid colour. I’ve seen other reviews about it failing after several uses, if that happens I will update this review and return it but so far from first use I can say it’s delivered to my friends expectations and it was easy to clean.

A friend used once to make a successful cannabutter batch

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersDer Versand war reibungslos und sehr schnell, Verpackung vorbildlich.

I ordered this botanical extractor for making my own garlic-and-herb butter, which it does with minimum involvement from me. The instructions are comprehensive, and the manufacturer’s website offers a range of recipes the MB2E machine can make: butters, gummies, candies, desserts, soups, sauces, oils, tinctures and many other healthy products. I haven’t dabbled with the other recipes yet, so I can’t comment on how they turn out. Garlic-and-herb butter is fantastic, though, made from just ghee, sunflower lecithin, garlic and my chosen herbs. The machine does all the work. Anyone wishing to make blends using cannabis will have to buy a decarboxylater (the same manufacturer makes one, but it has to be bought separately) if really potent products are desired (the decarboxylation process releases the maximum amount of THC or CBD from the herb). That’s not my milieu, though. For regular butter recipes, everything you need comes with the MB2E machine.

Review for MAGICAL BUTTER MB2E Botanical Extractor Machine Universal Power Cord UK and EU.

I have no experience of these types of machines so its an interesting introduction. This is essentially an effective infusing device to add flavours to a variety of liquids giving them unique flavour. The box contains all you need bar the ingredients to start making many types of infused oils as well as butter. Made from a high quality stainless steel making it sturdy and easy to clean, the unit is quite tall and doesn’t fit onto one of my worktops due to the lower height of the wall units.

Fitted with top mounted controls as well as pretty LED lights whilst operational, I would prefer a LCD display indicating what the machine is currently doing. Comes with a booklet giving some inspiration for what to make. I would say ease of operation is reasonable for beginner, however like with any kind of food preparation requires practice to get right, your first few attempts won’t turn out exactly as planned. Started simple by trying to infuse plain olive oil using lower heat settings as I didn’t want to spoil the oil with various herbs / spices such as garlic, ginger chilli – experimentation is the key here try on the whole. Comes with a nylon mesh strainer allowing you to strain out any plant matter leaving a clear oil. Once done cleaning is easy and does incorporate a cleaning cycle whereby you just add water and soap and run the cycle.

I don’t really have a huge need for this however my use of this has given me an insight how useful this can be and will instead be donating this to a friend of mine I know will certainly make regular use of this. Overall not an essential kitchen item by any means (at least for me) could perhaps do this cheaper but less conveniently, but thats not really the point. If you love making alternative infused oils, liquids butters etc then this a very convenient way to do this.

Despite its name, this machine does a lot more than just making butter.
It has a variety of uses one of which is infusing oils and butter with botanicals.

But you can also make marinades and blend up delicious soups up.
Also fantastic for smoothies it really is a lot more versatile than I expected it to be.

Size-wise this seems compact so storage isn’t really a problem and it also comes with full instructions for use.
It also has a handy clean function that was so easy and convenient.
I do think its a tad overpriced but I still like it.
I am very impressed overall with this.

Took me a while to figure it out, as the booklet is as useless as can be and the website is just as much help as the bookletthey so need to sort this out, as it is letting them down BIG TIME! Then, a friend of mine who happened to have bought this gadget in the States suggested I check YouTube and this is where my adventure into the world of Magical Butter started! O! M! G! It is AMAZING! Not only is it well-made, sturdy, robust ands all the other fab words you can use to describe it, but it is actually super easy to use, once you understand what is what. Like, I use it for infused butter ( we grow microgreens, so there is never any shortage ofbotanicals (love the term ) , but my most favourite is the soups you can make with the butter and this gadget! I made some incredible broccoli and stilton soup and it took me just 15 min to prep everything and an hour cycle in the MB jugwhat do I call it? Blender-heater-upper-smoother-slow-cooker? Basically — check YouTube for advice and ideas and “Once you go MB, never back you will be!” LOL!

Oh, the self-clean is a bit rubbish though and I sometimes just leave it with soapy water overnigt for an easy manual clean in the morning.

The first thing I thought when I unpacked this gadget is that it is much larger and heavier than I was expecting. It looks like a thermos flask in the promo pictures but this is a chunky piece of kitchen equipment. This is basically a blender that can be heated up allowing you to make infused lotions and potions. I was most interested in making flavoured oils. The machine looks daunting at first but once you have thoroughly read the instructions and had a look online too it is easy to use. I did manage to make some flavoured oil without any mishaps and it was quite fun and I enjoyed the result. The machine was okay to clean (no better or worse than any other blender or soup maker). I will use this again but I personally don’t feel that it is something I would have bought myself as I am not going to use it that often. I think it would be fantastic if you like to make flavoured oils as gifts or even if you like to make toiletries. I am sure crafters could also find a use for it. I personally think that I would still prefer to use my blender over this gadget. I do wish the enclosed booklet had included a lot more tips, ideas and recipes as I feel there is more that could be done with this machine.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMagical Butter not what I imagined it would be. I will admit this has been used as more of a distraction than I fear it was intended, but honestly, I have enjoyed wasting time and making creations with it. So far, I’ve made some lovely salad dressings, hair masks and other random things I found on the internet as the instructions that came with it, I found a little unclear. I do plan on trying one of them but will have to wait and see as I can’t get everything yet. If you like a tinker, then this is the thing for you.

This took some fiddling about to learn to use but once you get the hang of it it’s really good. used it to make butter’s and oil’s. the butter was a bit tricky as the instructions for me were not so clear. I had to go to the website to get more detailed information.

The machine is very simple to use thou and I liked the coloured LED lights. like I said once you get the hang of the basic’s this is the easiest thing in the world to operate. I want to try making soup in it but I think this will be a trial and error thing to get the right timing and tempter. this is basically a bit like an oven with a blitzer.

The one thing I love about this is the self clean function, it saves an awful lot of time and effort when you can clean it with jump a touch of a button it make’s maintaining this really say.

This does come with a heat proof glove and a bag to help with the draining of bits of whatever your making. which again handy but a bit fiddly.

I think overall what this machine is used for gives good value. it doesn’t take up much space, yet it is a bit nosey at first but once it gets going it’s not so bad.

Well, I have to admit here I had no idea what this was, I’d assumed a sort of food processor but its correct term would be a botanical extractor. So, you can use herbs, fruit, spices etc to make soups, flavoured oils, and, most interestingly to me, lotions and potions.
I’m not exactly the world’s greatest cook so I doubt I’ll be infusing my own butter and oil any time soon, so the appeal to me is creating organic, skin friendly oils and lotions with herbs and ingredients from my own garden. Chamomile in a carrier oil is ideal for eczema or psoriasis, for instance, and once I’d mastered how to use this gadget, it was a revelation and I’m enthusiastic about other skin friendly creams and oils I can create. That said, I don’t think it’s intuitive at all and would have preferred more detailed instructions on what could and couldn’t be used (extra virgin oil is out, apparently but coconut oil is fine).
My husband is braver though, on the cooking side of things and without much faffing at all, flung in various herbs and fruit and seeds to produce an amazingly flavoured smoothie, as this blends everything for you. Very impressive.
I don’t think this is the right gadget for the average household kitchen as it is fairly limited on usage (and it costs a bomb, quite surprised at that) but for those with a culinary or skincare interest in creating their own concoctions, it will be a really useful tool.
4 stars – it would have been 5 if the price was lower.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOK, I got this as a soup maker but when I googled it, the other uses for it surprised me! However, it does make mighty good soup…as for other uses I have no idea at all!
It is quite a large machine and looks a little like a kettle/water flask; it is fairly straightforward to use which is just as well as the instructions are absolutely hopeless. The recipes promised with it are disappointing so it is a little bit of google searching and trial and error to get where you want to be with it!
Not convinced it is great value for money though!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our Users3.5* rounded up to 4*.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this Magical Butter machine and I was surprised when it arrived in such a large box. It is much bigger than I expected and heavier. The machine is about the size of a large kettle and with it about 3/4 full of water. But that does mean that this machine is really solid and has some great features.

I wasn’t sure what I would do with the Magical Butter so I looked at the leaflet included, it had little useful information and so I picked up the thick booklet in the hope that that would be full of tips and recipes but nope, instead it is simply a repeat of the leaflet in every language. But what I had worked out was that the ‘Magical’ in the title refers to what this machine is intended to infuse a certain plant into your food, a plant that is not legal in England. Keen for some other ideas I looked at social media groups and found some for people with the Magical Butter machine but they were all American and from states where the, um, plant, is legal and where it would appear people love to add it to their food either in butter or oils. Interesting but not really very useful in England where the plant would be illegal.

I was tempted to relegate this to the shelf in the garage where ‘those’ electricals live, the ones that you really wanted but in the end, you just didn’t get on with, but I wanted to give it a good try first. Just without breaking the law. So I figured if I couldn’t add that to my butter what would I like to add to it? The immediate answer was garlic, garlic butter is something I love and so I set about making that. It was really very good, better than I usually make. “““““This was unexpected but rather exciting, so I set about making oil infused with some of my favourite herbs, again it turned out great.

I’ve since done a few things in this and they have all been good, the machine is easy to use and it definitely has its place in some kitchens. I’m not totally sure that it will have a place in mine though, it is just too large to justify the space I think. Which is a shame.

If they want to successfully sell this product in the UK then they will need to improve the information supplied with the Magical Butter and tailor it to the UK market.

Inside the box contains the large botanical machine. It looks like a large kettle. We also get a silicon glove, booklets which are the user manuals in various languages and a few recipes to try. Also contains power leads.

The machine is double insulated and stainless steel (looks great!)

There are many uses for this machine.
Can be used to create butter with ease, add all the ingredients then simply select the desired temperature needed and the time then let the machine create the desired supplement.
Can also create flavoured oils, soups with ease by adding ingredients and letting the machine mix, blend and heat. Can also make beauty products such a lotions, cremes.

The machine can mix, grind, infuse ingredients and heat/ cool. Can also be used as a simple blender to create smoothies, puree food by not adding the temperature feature.

We made butternut squash and sweet potato soup and it was delicious, so easy to make in it. Put all ingredients in and the machine does it for you.

We did soup and made salt free garlic butter yest in it, the butter was so easy to make and we all loved it as we used it to make garlic dough balls that was delicious.

Really easy to clean and the lid can be wiped down. All round great product.

    An all round great produc

I was a little confused when this arrived and did a little internet research before I used it. The instruction booklet was a little too vague and didn’t actually give me that many recipes. The original use for this machine was something that caught me by surprise, but that aside its other uses are quite good.

After a lot of time on the internet, I decided to look at this machine in a more basic way. What does it do, well it heats and blends and in some ways similar to a soup maker would. As well as that it can be used to extract the oils from herbs and plants to add to carrier oils and butter, so acting like an infuser. It could also be used for soap making I think, but to be honest, if I was using it for food-based recipes I then would not then use it for other non-food items.

The machine is big and definitely on the robust side, it is larger than a kitchen kettle and heavier. There are a set of buttons on the top for controlling the temperature and timer. You put your ingredients in, put on the lid which is not lockable, and then set it accordingly. It also has a handy self-clean feature.

As I am writing this review I am also wondering if this might be useful for jam or chutney…hmmm will have to investigate and experiment with this!

I think this is a good machine that has a lot of potential in a kitchen, unfortunately, the thin little booklet is not very helpful. I think the manufacturers should have a rethink on the instructions and methods of use as I think there is a lot more that it could be used for than what they suggest.

As well as the mixer there is also a green silicon glove in the box, now this and the filter bag are brilliant. You use the glove to help squeeze out the liquid and the filter bag retains seeds, pips.

This is a product that I have found hard to rate for a review. It is a good machine and now I have got used to the ways it could be used I think it is good, but until you start experimenting with it you don’t realise its full potential. For the time being, I am going with 4 stars until I have had more experimenting with it. I am pleased with the machine and I am glad I did some extra research rather than just sticking with the basic instructions, based on that I would recommend it.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersDespite a review i’ve read, I should make clear that this is a botanical extractor and not a butter maker. It will mix, stir, grind, heat and infuse your concoction to your requirements. Including butter.

Add your chosen herbs to the container followed by your liquid of choice: melted butter, oil, alcohol. Set your required mode, time and temperature depending on whether you want an infused oil (chipotle infused dressing), flavoured butter (garlic, oregano and sea salt), a medicinal tincture (turmeric and cardamon tincture) or fortified drink for use in cooking or for pleasure.
Any herbs, spices, fruits and other plant products can be used.

It can be used purely as a blender too without applying any heat. I made an avocado and cashew nut smoothie using an oat milk base with a little honey. The nuts need soaking for a couple of hours in water just to soften, unless you’re using nut powders which I’ve had better results with.
Blending fruits for a smoothie or protein powder for my shakes was a breeze.

Soups too can be made. It will blend and heat the ingredients for the amount of time you set, making it so much more versatile than I imagined. I’ve made a simple roast tomato, with vegetable stock, spinach, basil, parmesan along with my Magic Butter made, truffle infused oilve oil.

Magical Butter have really missed a key selling point by not listing these versatile uses!

All parts are included, reusable filter bag, silicon glove. Washing is straightforward too. its not an essential kitchen tool, but as it’s versatile, it means I can replace a few of the other appliances for this one. Saving space.

    4 stars.

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersMAGICAL BUTTER MB2E Botanical Extractor Machine

I have to admit, I really didn’t know a lot about this when I ordered it. I was rather curious when I read the description ‘Botanical Extractor Machine’.

When this arrived I was surprised by the rather large box that it was supplied in. After opening the box I found the machine which is jug shaped, looking a little like an electric kettle but much larger. I would say it’s at least twice the size of an electric jug kettle.

Also in the box are 2 power cables, 1 x 2 pin, 1 x UK 3 pin. Along with a large heavy duty fabric filter, 1 x heatproof silicone glove and 2 booklets. The first book is quite slim, it’s written in English language, it’s primarily a user guide but does contain a small selection of recipe selections. The second book I was quite excited about as it’s very thick, I mistakenly mistook it for a book full of recipes. But no, it’s just a repeat of the smaller booklet but is written in other languages.

The machine itself looks to be well constructed out of stainless steel and heatproof plastic. The main body is double walled a little like a thermos flask. The lid is very heavy as it has a large stainless steel section that houses the motor. Protruding down into the jug is a rotating immersion blade, thermostat and overflow sensor. On top of the lid are wipe clean, push button, micro-processor controls.

What does this do?.. MagicButter uses exclusive technology to extract botanical nutrients and flavours directly into butter, cooking oil, alcohol and lotions.

I will most likely be using this for adding flavours to oils and butters. I eat a lot of fish, I do like to sprinkle olive or avocado oil over the fish, often adding a few herbs, peppers, garlic or other flavours to the oils. With this machine I can add those ingredients to the oil and infuse the flavours together to get the most out of those ingredients. I also add various ingredients to butter, normally mixing in with a fork. Again I shall be using this machine to create no end of variations of flavour to my butter.

I have used this today to create some flavoured butter using ghee. I added garlic along with a few selected dried herbs. Just place the ingredients into the machine, select temperature, then time. Walk away and come back when the time is up – success!.. a great tasting butter. Yummy!

This is not a machine that I would have normally considered ordering. But now I have it, I can see me using this for both my flavoured butter and oils. This does far more than just butter and oils, it will create sauces, soups, marinades and much more, your imagination is your limit with this.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersI’ll be frank, I can only see myself using this to create fresh butter and perhaps some flavour infused oils. The instructions are really simple and the butter I’ve created tastes really good. Whilst it’s pretty easy to make flavoured oils and butter using other gadgets you likely already have, but I do like the convenience of being able to step away and do other stuff whilst the machine does its work.

The device is larger than I presumed from the illustration (about the size of a large jug kettle). Cleaning the exterior is a simple wipe down, the interior is also relatively straightforward, but it is important to be scrupulous to prevent flavours contaminating your other projects – I imagine traces of chilli oil in tinctures and lotions could make for a very unpleasant experience for example.

Whilst this isn’t an essential kitchen gadget, I’m quite impressed with how it performs.
