This is a nice lav mic and sound really good. The only issue is the shirt clip because it does not fit on the mic well. It does work tough so not a deal breaker.

I use it for weddings and interviews connected to Wireless GO II. I like the bass sound it skews to. Nice rich sound without overpowering clarity.

This newer design lav mic from Rode picks up a lot less unwanted ambient noise than the old one.

I had a Tascam lapel mic recently break apart on the job and needed a lapel mic to pair with my Rode Wireless Go II. After looking up several reviews on YouTube I decided to go with the Rode Lavalier II.

Overall the product is great! The wire is insanely sturdy and thin (made out of kevlar I believe) so I don’t have to worry about it breaking. The mic itself is flat so you can get it behind a button up shirt or tape it easily to a shirt if needed.

As we know with most lavalier mics there is always need to EQ the end result due to lav’s pickup pattern but I feel like this mic gives outstanding sound even without editing the final product. Overall glad I picked it up and will be using it for all my corporate interviews in the future.

if you are mounting gopro with your chest mount, you need to buy an L connector. Otherwise the device works perfectly.

I bought this mic for streaming and daily squad gaming. Once you get a low noise level soundcard with around +20dB gain, and also avoid of usb grounding noise, this mic is really good. It will beat any microphone you can get labeled consumer electronics.
Also, currently I’m using wireless charging for my phone and Powerplay mouse pad with GPXS, which normally both of these producing noises to microphones. But lavalier 2 can resist from that.

It’s a great Lav mic at this price! I’m not aware of a better one in its price range.

Almost comparable with more profesional mics.
One small disadvantage vs professional ones, is that is slightly wider (but pretty flat) and not currently able to find mounts for it, for mounting directly on the skin. I currently use tape, which works well.

The sound quality is better than the Rode Lav 1, noise floor also improved (lower than Lav 1).
The shape is a bit unusual for a lav, but it makes sense because it has a bigger capsule, for a better sound quality.
Also the pickup pattern is more uniform, when the subject moves the head left and right.

I use it taped on the subject (on the chest area) and recording it on Zoom F2BT.
    I highly recommend it!

Excellent Lav mic for it's price, with great sound quality!

When I tell you that this isn’t an entry grade lavalier mic I mean it! From the lockable 3.5mm jack, brilliant flat cord design & outward sound recording presentation, this mic is proof that Rode is the leader in sound. The price is right on this one. Right for the consumer. 5 stars all day!

Werde beide Mics behalten.
