Es un plato con mucha dispersin en el crasheo, duro y pesado, con una campana interesante, pero un ping demasiado escandaloso en la superficie del plato. Ideal para rock y algn otro estilo potente. No lo recomiendo para Jazz o formatos ms acsticos.
Cymbal came in bent on one side
I own several HHX Evolution cymbals and I love them. I wanted to add to my collection 18″ crash as well.
Item came today bent on one side; Plastic bag that cymbal was in, was also, damaged; It looks like that cymbal was dropped on the edge and cut through the plastic bag and bent itself as well. Also, writing on the cymbal looks bit washed out, like the cymbal was used and then cleaned. Since I like Evolution cymbals very much I will exchange it for new one.
Sabian calls it dark and complex... that's a very accurate description I feel.

Super chido
Lleg un da antes de lo orevisto, el empaque no era el mejor, vena muy suelto y pudo haberse golpeado en el camino, sfortunadamante lleg bien, tal y como lo muestra la publicacin.
This crash has a unique tone to it. it's hard to describe and I would recommend listening it to it on you-tube but i like the fact that it sounds very different than your typical 16" crash from Z or Sab.

Package came in perfect condition.
Cymbal was wrapped in the usual thin hq plastic Sabian labeled bag which was wrapped in brown paper.
The cymbal was clean, no nicks scratches, or finger prints. This cymbal is very thin about half as thin as a dime for comparison. Great response -with the tip of a finger you can make it sing. Tons of body and personality, fairly quick decay.
I’ll probably opt for something a bit more heavy next time. Bell is alright, not as distinct as you might’ve thought for the size. Ping/ride sound makes cymbal begin to roar because of how thin it is, but a great crash.
This is by far, my favorite cymbal! Very Explosive sound. I'm only giving it 4 stars because the brilliant quickly tarnishes, but nothing that Crazy John's Brilliant Finish cymbal cleaner won't fix.....highly recommended

Nice Cymbal. this line is more brilliant in sound than the darker paragon line which I also own. The evolution is the perfect line for every setting, nice tonality without unwanted overtones, it washes really nice and sound is crispy. Highly recommended.

After trying several 19" and 20" cymbals, I arrived back at what I already use .... Evolution. Nothing better IMHO.

I'm that guy who has pretty much purchased every cymbal on earth
I’m that guy who has pretty much purchased every cymbal on earth, played em, and returned the ones I don’t like. This one is a keeper. Perfect for crashing, but doesn’t ring on forever. Cuts through the mix, but isn’t obnoxious. Has a darker sound, which compliments my main 19 inch AAX Fast Crash.
For reference, my setup is 18 AAX Fast Crash on the left, this 19 AAX Fast Crash on the right, then an HHX Xplosion Crash to the right of that. It’s the only combo that’s stuck for me.

I absolutely LOVE these cymbal series. I bought this to replace my current Paiste 2000 Series 18″ crash. This one is so responsive, whether you play with brushes, hands, rutes, they open up nicely. I saved so much money on buying a performance promo pack, that I was able to afford to purchase this one.

This is probably the best cymbal I have played! Really nice sound and tones! Nice attack while not being overbearing. It sounds great being played hard or soft. The bell has a nice ring to it while not sounding ugly.
Weckl and Sabian did a great job with this cymbal. I just wish they kept the 19″ in production!
by far the best crash ive ever played! i 100% recommend it!!! it has the perfect balance of attack sustain and decay you could ever ask for in a crash cymbal in my opinion! and it looks beautiful too!
You seriously won’t believe it till you hear/see this beauty. I don’t see how it can get any better as far as a buttery thin crash goes. This thing has it all, response, glassy decay, beautiful initial attack. I really have never been more happier with a 16″ crash, and I don’t see how anyone could be ANYMORE happy. Dont waste anymore time if you are in the market for a crash.
If you're looking for a cymbal that can provide a huge crash as well as a substantial, shimmering flow of smooth riding, this is your tool for the job. Sounds amazing in both studio and live applications. I use it for rock/indie/r&b styles and I couldn't be happier...try it!

he most impressive dish I think the truth has a volume filling super nice and short at any time is amazing how good this dish sounds like I am to do with my sound full plate in my battery maybe a 18 inch thanks

I also have the HHX Manhattan 20" ride which is mellow and smoky and perfect for small clubs. This crash has a super sweet tone that can be crashed or rode with a bunch of sympathetic wash. Highly rated line from the great Sabian cymbal company.

Awesome sound, beautiful finish. My favourite 18″ crash by far. Especially considering the less-than-half-price price.
Word of warning, though – you can’t choose what finish you get, i.e. silver, gold, hammered, etc. But if that’s okay with you as it was for me, go ahead and buy it now.
