Just the Rotivation I needed for the garde
My Tiller broke while using it so I bought this as a replacement, far better than the old one, more power and extra blades, broke up the soil much easier than the old one which saved a lot of time as well

Works better if you pull towards you
Good bit of kit but heavy on the arms. Does a good job after a number of passes. Keep the digging blade clear of grass always remember to take the plug out if working on the blades.

    Cracking litlle machine
Used to rotivate and then re level my garden. Worked well, but make sure the grass is cut low before starting

Much better than I was expecting for the price
Last time I hired one of these it was about 20 years ago and it cost 25 for a day, so I really wasn’t expecting very much from something that was the equivalent of less than about 4 days’ hire allowing for inflation. My good lady wife decided to buy one anyway and I must confess I was pleasantly surprised.

It coped quite well with the first patch of garden that I threw at it – an area that was full of roots and buried brambles. It takes a bit of time to use – you basically have to hold in one position for about 10 seconds and then move forward a foot or so and do the next but it’s way quicker than doing it by hand and it produces a nice even crumbed soil ready for raking, levelling and planting, even when the ground as in this case hasn’t been properly dug over in years.

The one main criticism that I would level at it and the reason why I haven’t given it 5 stars is the fact, as highlighted by least one other review I saw, that the blades are not sharp enough to cut through the weeds so its 10 minutes of milling followed by 10 minutes on your hands and knees untangling the weeds and roots from around the blades. I’m tempted to take the blades off and sharpen them.

It is fitted with a cable strain tidy but quite what its use is I have no idea. It’s far too large to hold the cable when it’s plugged in so it simply falls out whenever you move the rotavator and too small to hold the cable when its coiled up.

The other observation I would make is that the assembly instructions are truly awful. If you are the sort of person who relies on instructions to put things together, get someone with a degree of technical expertise to help! It’s actually very easy to put together and it took me no more than 10 minutes, but I would suggest that if you try to follow the instructions you’ll be there all day. If they had provided no instructions, ease of assembly would have been scored at 5!

    Powerful and effective
I was wary of buying an unknown brand but have been pleasantly surprised. It made light work of my garden, which otherwise would have taken days of back breaking work. Very powerful and glad I didn’t go for one of the lower wattage rotavators available

Easy peasy will never dig again.
At one end of my plot I had compacted building stones with grass clods and weedsoosenef up the compacted area quickly with a spade then the beast moshed it up.Raked away and dumped stones and green matter leaving the soil as soft as compost to 6 inch depth.

Pleased with purchase used for first time today. Easy to use and assemble. Pensioner now and easier than digging.

    Easy to assemble
The tiller was delivered early and was easily assembled in a matter of minutes. It looks to be a good solid piece of kit.
Unfortunately the weather has not been conducive to making use of it. Because of a high clay content in my soil it retains water therefore I can only till it as it drys out after a wet period or after a light shower when we have had a dry period.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersValue for money
Had a bit of trouble assembling, as instruction book had missing directions. In use it did as I wanted it to. I have very heavy clay soil and it finely tilled it ready for planting. You don’t use it like a lawn mower, you have to hold it still in place and let it dig. It does jump up if it hits anything it cannot deal with, and did give me a jolt on the chin as I am only 5’2″ Probably easier for someone taller to handle. Still was a lot easier than digging by hand. Used it to dig each hole for planting as well, Loosened the soil making it easy to dig out.

    Makes light work of digging!!
Used this to dig up soil ready for artificial lawn installation. Wish I had invested in this before spending weeks digging with a spade! Machine is very powerful when first starts up and a little fiddly too as you need both hands to start but also both hands to hold onto machine as it jumps on starting! Also would be better if there was somewhere to properly secure wire. If there is somewhere for this, it isn’t shown on instructions clearly.

    Seller and product recommended
This is a really excellent garden tool. Needs a firm hand to control but can cope with rocks and stones well. Really pleased with purchase.

The service from the sellers cannot be faulted. Prompt to reply to a question and a very rapid resolution. Thank you.

    Highly recommended!
This is great for getting the job done. Makes tilling soil so much easier and definitely worth getting one if you need to do work to your garden. Really great price too!

    Hard Work But good machine
These machines are not for the light-hearted. It is hard work if ground not been done for a while. But once it gets going, it’s a good tool to have.

    Great for small areas
A longer cable would be beneficial otherwise fairly easy to handle & use once you have the hang of it. Do need some strength to control as you start.

Nice little machine, but don’t expect too much from it for this price.
This is fairly easy to assemble, but as with most things read the instructions right through before starting to assemble. It has quite a powerful motor but don’t expect miracles for this price. If the ground has been winter dug or at least turned over the previous season, then this works well. Turns the soil over to about 6 inches but any weeds will quickly be entangled around the blades. Over all this is a nice labour-saving machine for the price.
