I am in my 60’s and approx 10.5 stone so not the biggest out there. Bought the longest one I could to use in cutting down mistletoe from the very top of trees. It did the job perfectly, but was quite hard work but certainly achievable. Would I buy again – YES

A bloke said he’d trim my acacia for 600. You can guess my response! We are surrounded by a copse and the trees have 2-3m of branches overhanging our garden. This was great for doing the trimming even 4 inch (10cm) branches. The trick is to cut gently and let the very sharp two way cutting saw do the job. Forcing will get it stuck. Yes it gets a bit unwieldy to use the longer the pole gets but I managed I didn’t need the last two poles and managed to cut 18 feet high (5.5m) branches with ease. The pulley cutter for smaller stuff is also excellent. I fully recommend this saw and the price was very good.

I bought this for the pruning head (not the saw) to stop wisteria shoots growing across to a maple tree.
It came well packed in a strong cardboard box and there is a good storage bag for the poles, with a separate pocket for the saw blades. From the description I knew it would be heavy and I would have preferred the 21ft set, but that did not come with the pruning head, so I had to buy the 28ft set.
The poles appear sturdy and are foam filled to reduce flexing, with good screw connections.
I chose this type (rather than the one with the cutter facing forward), as it is easier to hook the pruning head around the stem you want to cut, pull it slightly towards you and then cut. The pruner cut the wisteria, which is very tough, without too much effort and gave a nice clean cut.
I wish there was a clip to hold the rope loosely against the pole as I kept losing it, and I found it a bit difficult to look at what I was cutting and look down to find the rope.
I am an averagely fit mid 70 year old and managed to lift and hook on with 4 poles, which was sufficient for what I needed. I might manage 5, but I know I could not have lifted all 7 on my own.
Overall I am happy with my purchase and do not know of anything else which would have done this job.

his is a great bit of kit enables you to reach to high branches with relative ease and cut through thick branches very quickly with the very sharp saws, the lopper part is also great for easily cutting through the smaller stuff.
give yourself plenty of space and don’t work directly under the branch your cutting,
the only down side i found was the rubber handles are not a tight fit and move, the very end one full of so could easily be lost.. might just glue them in place.

Bought this to do a tricky cut to drop a huge lump of oak that was stuck against a 8inch branch. I was amazed how easy it cut through the branch when I had it extended to 20ft. It’s heavy and better on big extensions with 2 people but it cuts so well and although it bends it easily controlled.

Was 50/50 about gettting this due to the reviews but have to agree with the positive ones. Really great bit of kit. I’d have had to pay someone a lot more to come and do the job for me but this took care of what i wanted no problem. Sometimes you have to perservere to get the branch done at the longer lengths but you’ll get there. I found it addictive once you got one branch, you wanted to get to the next one. I’m 55 and have pipe cleaner arms so only lasted about 30 mins a time but it was a great purchase for sure.

The saws are very sharp and cut easily. I am not sure how long they will stay sharp – time will tell. The trimmer is useful for small growths but when working at long extension it is better to work with two people otherwise you have to hold the long pole with one hand whilst you pull the cord with the othe

Works really well, did not need a very expensive man with a chainsaw for branches within it’s reach.

I did find this quite good to reach in places where i was unable to. Its really quick and easy to cut but only downside would be handling it when its really long.

The only downside is that it is very flexible at full length making it difficult to manoeuvre and awkward to lift off the floor. It maybe easier to use with a second person adding the extension’s so it can kept vertical.

Very easy and quick to assemble, easy to use for cutting high & low branches and lightweight. Stores away compactly. Did need to retighten extension poles occasionally when in use. Pleased to find extra cutting blade was provided

Thought long and hard before buying this pole saw as it is expensive. I am most impressed by the quality and the hooks on each end of the saw work brilliantly and keep you on the branch. Have only experimented quickly with it but now looking forward to the main job, where I have never been able to reach high branches overhanging our garden.

Seem to extend a long way , well made , can become a little heavy after only a short use , need to rest , but very sharp and does the job . There is an art to the chopping to get a clean cu
