If you get a good seal then you can get -1 ba
When my unit arrived a small seal was broken. I contacted the seller and the customer service was outstanding. New bit arrived pump work fine I can get a -1bar vacuum. Air in my resin I don’t think so. Very happy you just need to ensure all the joints are done up tight.
Works a treat.
Hooked up to my Vevor 8CFM Vacuum pump and works a treat. Put a piece of bubble wrap in when I first tested it and couldn’t believe how fast the air was purged. The seal is good and maintained vacuum for several minutes after the pump was turned off. Very happy with this.
Worked perfectly !
The vacuum pump worked perfectly to install my mini split Air conditioner, it came with all the fittings needed including the R32 adapter that I needed for my Aircon unit, it was shipped to me very quickly !
100% recommend seller !!!
For the price and what you get is great, but when mine came in the oil had leaked all over the pump so if you are considering purchasing please remember to buy replacement oil and drain the original oil out. As per all pumps it is noisy and the vacuum gauge is not calibrated properly but all in all for cost you are getting a pretty good deal I would say this unit is for hobbyists
Hope this helps with your decision to purchase
Good little pump for the money
Only just got the pump hoping to use it for composite vacuum pumping, seems perfect for the job at the moment. Only thing the connection isn’t a standard 1/4 inch so I needed to buy an adapter.
Good product, easy to use. Only the manual wasn’t very clear, and had to fiddle a bit figure how to install the valve on to the Acrylic cover. Overall, performance very well, the pressure dropped to -30inHg very quickly.
TL;DR: Add/replace oil and calibrate the gauge, but otherwise good pump.
When I first received the pump and, naturally, tried to boil some water, I was utterly disappointed. It was not reaching vacuum at all, and was getting quite hot.
After reading comments to similar pumps here I’ve tightened all joints the best I could, but it didn’t help at all.
The oil level was within limits, but closer to the min level. So I decided to add some. And it did the trick, the pump pulled a fairly good vacuum, the water started to boil fairly quickly, and the gauge went below -1 atm.
This brings me to the other point. The gauge is not calibrated, so its reading is not accurate. Keep that in mind.
Order some oil with the pump, don’t expect it to be ready to go. Mine wasn’t.
