Good clock, easy to read but have one complaint… I read other reviews about the battery so purchased the carbon batteries recommended with the item so am rather annoyed that they did not fit, tried many different batteries and did find an old one but need to find for when that expires… so if anyone can tell me a battery that does fit I would be grateful. thanks

Item arrived and was easy to hang, one AA battery required and easy to set time. Silent in operation and keeps great time. Can see time from a long way off due to clear numbers on white background. Brushed chrome edging makes it look a bit nicer too

A little expensive for the quality
Compared to what’s available in the shops this was a little more expensive but at the time I couldn’t find a 12 inch silver clock. It is a nice clean looking however it does have finger marks on the inside of the glass that I couldn’t remove without dismantling the clock but given its location it doesn’t interfere too much with the overall appearance.
Firstly the battery AA or not AA? I tried a duracell AA and it did not fit, some people posted that they had to really force the battery in, they are in for disappointment. I went online and found out that for low power products you need a carbon based battery which I thought had died out years ago. So it is a AA battery but not any of the high powered ones,they are to strong for the mechanics of the clock which will wear out the gears within six months or so. The clock itself is good value for money and runs silently.

Easy to read, sleek design, silent operation. Background is a cool white which looks a tiny bit blueish. Would prefer a slightly longer minute hand, or shorter hour hand with less excess length on the opposite end of the hands (it doesn’t actually look like the product image).

If you are bothered by ticking, the second hand glide round like a swan .. beautiful. I enjoy watching the hand glide. Perhaps that is taking lockdown advice to find the positive too far ??

This is a very useful clock for my kitchen since it can be clearly seen from all parts of the room. It also keeps excellent time and is therefore a most reliable timepiece.

Nice clock but loses time a little
Nice clock, but it does seem to lose a little time. Have to correct it about once a week by a couple of minutes. Not a massive inconvenience, but just be aware.
It works perfectly, silently doing its job night and day. It does not listen, like some people we know- thinking of you Alexa- it minds it’s own business not trying to sell us anything else. I am amazed such an invention has been working for over 500 years. Where will you be Alexa in 500 years? It has no opinions, just the time to tell you . Someday, it will probably need a new battery, and when it does we will be there in its hour, or minute, of need!

Not silent after 2 weeks
Looks great, smooth hand movement but sounds like a moped running outside*. If the clock ticked I would have sent it back but I kinda like the motor running sound so I’ll keep it. One star down for not doing as described on the tin. *This may just be my particular clock, it was silent at first for about 2 weeks
Excellent big clock for very little money.
Purchased this clock for my elderly neighbour and good friend aged 93 who suffuses from a small loss of eyesight, looks great in his kitchen and has no problem reading the time with this.
Could be a little slimmer, but does the job. Looks good.

Great looking clock
As described and looks great on our kitchen wall! It’s bigger than the one we had before but love it this way! It is also very silent!
Changing the clock on Sunday morning to GMT, the other much loved and well over 30 years old, jumped off the wall and was fatally damaged. So ordered a new one…and it arrived in less than 24 hours.
Its a bit big, struggled to get the battery into it…and its looking good.
Hope this one has a life of 30 years…
Good size but dark clock face
I bought this to replace my parents old kitchen clock. This is a good size with large numbers and quiet. Downside is that the face is quite dark. It is not white as the seller’s photos show so can be difficult to read when it’s dark.

Attractive, light weight, and silent. Given that it has a sweeping “seconds” hand there is really no need for the traditional (and often annoyingly loud) “tick-tock” sound as you can clearly see if the clock is working by reference to the “seconds” hand. So I am pleased that it’s silent (and it kinda makes it appear more classy.

I purchased this clock to replace my old malfunctioning one and I was pleasantly surprised. I have white walls so the design and colour of this time contraption compliments them well while it looks stylish and more modern than my previous. Easy to get going and reliably tells the time. Brilliant Clock

I bought this for my sisters new kitchen for her. It wasn’t expensive and I thought it was good to go with whatever she decided her colour scheme would be. As soon as I got it out of the box, I really liked it. It is quite plain, but it has a great neat, clean look to it. It’s very light weight and even comes with a wall hook to hang it on. I may have to either keep it for myself, or give it to her and get another one for me. My only dissapointment, is that on the clean white face, there is a little black mark which does stand out to me. There is also a small dink in the alluminium rim by the 9 ‘o’ clock numeral which is noticeable. It shouldn’t be so noticeable when it’s hanging on the wall, but as I know it’s there, hopefully it won’t bug me too much. Very nice clock though. Recommended.
