Excellent value
Very compact, great travel rod (at least for the car as it’s 2021). No worries about taking it on holiday. I haven’t caught anything over 6lbs on it but it feels strong and livily.
Superb build quality
Bought this for my husband as a gift. He absolutely loves it!!. Sturdy and robust, yet extremely light weight. Very versatile and great for catching any type of coarse fish. He would highly recommend it.

Angelrute mit viel Potenzial
Eigentlich wollte ich Barsche angeln. Also 20er Schnur auf die Rolle und einen 4 cm Gummifisch mit Bleikopf angeknotet. Geangelt wurde von einer Mole in gut 3 m tiefen Wasser. Nach dem 3. Wurf sphrte ich einen starken widerstand und ich dachte an einen Hnger. Pltzlich kam dann Bewegung in die Angelrute. Ein starker Fisch zog mir nach und nach die Schnur von der Rolle. Zum Glck hatte ich die Rollenbremse nicht stark angezogen. Nach ca. 30 Minuten habe ich dann das erste mal den Fisch gesehen. Es war ein Hecht von ca. 100 cm. Da ich keinen Kescher dabei hatte, habe ich den Fisch ins flache Wasser auf eine Betonrampe manveriert und ihn dort aus dem Wasser zu ziehen. Der Hecht lag schon zu 2/3 auf Land. Dann riss die dnne Angelschnur. Ich habe noch versucht, den Fisch mit der Hand zu greifen, leider ohne Erfolg. Auch wenn die Angel im ersten Moment wie ein Spielzeug aussieht, hat sie genug Rckrat, einen grossen Hecht zu drillen.
I haven’t put the world traveler to use yet. The reel combination was different than the description photos. Looking at the description photos I was under the impression when ordering the “World Traveler” I would recieve the RR3000 with Spare Spool, instead I received the RR 1000B pre-spooled. Not a deal breaker by any means, but wasn’t what I was expecting. Attached are the photos of the exact kit I received and the reel.

Awesome bit of kit! Way better than a telescopic rod. I take it wherever I get deployed too and have fished all over the world and caught some amazing fish with this rod!
At home its Brilliant on the mackerel throwing a spinner out to a good distance on the pier or on the boat dropping feathers to catching some weird and tropical fish in the far east!
If you use the shorter glatt tip you can reel in some pretty large fish if you play them properly and it gets a lot of looks and interest from fellow fishermen when you turn up and start assemmbling it!

I was very happy with this rod and reel combo. I own alot of rods and reels but wanted a simple travel combo that broke down small enough to throw in my luggage. I swapped the line with 30 lb braid. The rod has a decent backbone while having a quick tip for sensitivity but enough strength for drag ripping hard hook sets. I took it on a trip to Mexico and Belize and managed to shore fish and catch Jack chevelle, tarpon, bone fish, barracuda, snapper and lady fish. Biggest fish around a 22lb Tarpon. Trout sensitivity with hardy salt water fish strength.

Requested this for Christmas and it looks & feels like an excellent rod, the rod fits together extremely well and has a nice progressive bend in it with some strength left in reserve in the bottom section for playing a bigger fish. The reel has a nice smooth action.
The customer service was excellent, I contacted them to buy an additional tip to complete my requirements, this arrived 3 days after I contacted them.
I cannot wait to use it when we go camping in February and also in Florida and Lanzarote later in the year.
Perfect for holiday and travel fishing. Case is excellent and fits easily in a roll aboard small suitcase. You could even fit your little bits of tackle in the case too.
Seems perfect so far , struggled to find a rod to handle sea fishing that will fit in my travel case but this will definitely for , yet to be seen if it will cast out a 3oz lead on a flapper rig as it did have quite a bit of bend in it and it’s very light actioned for a medium rod but hopefully it will do the job !

Great little kit. Good quality too. I have used this with floats, ledger and lures and it works very well for all styles. This is a unique little travel spinning rod/reel combo from a British company. I just returned from a trip to Costa Rica and used it to fish from the beach. It performed superbly! A delight to handle, nimble and responsive yet powerful and I caught enough fish over 4 days to feed the family amply, including a 5lb snapper and a 6lb Jack. I spent a long time researching travel spinning rods and tried out a couple of the telescopic ones from other companies which felt a little cheap. This rod from Rigged and Ready is really well made and sturdy, and the owner of the company is very responsive to questions. A pleasure to deal with. In fact, I’m going to get the heavy weight rod too when it becomes available in the US. So, if you are looking for a travel rod, or just one to have handy in the car, I highly recommend this one.
Great rod, I was going to say little but this a robust unit and incredibly portable. I keep it in the car, it takes little room and has a self contained case. The price is very good for the quality of this rod, the reel is decent too.
Bought this as a ‘holiday’ rod,light and compact for packing but have now used it regularly on the River Ribble. Easy to assemble, satisfyingly secure and construction has a good feel. Would I recommend, yes.
Fantastic addition to my ever growing selection of fishing gear!! Easy to carry around and simple to put together, my other rods hardly come out of my shed now.

A very functional little rod, and extremely nicely actioned. It was a pleasant surprise to fish with the rod and find that it performs on pretty much on par with the more traditional multi / two piece rods. Certainly very useable and could be trusted to perform- a welcome surprise compared to other travel rods I’ve used which are often let down in their action by the nature of their construction, aimed at being suitable to travel with.
The rod would handle a good range of fishing approaches, and would certainly cover a lot of bases likely to be encountered by the roving angler. I confidently used it for light sea lure tactics, targeting pollock, sea trout and mackerel, but it would be equally at home for freshwater species like pike or trout.
Reel
It’s a nice smooth reel, and gave no issues when tested. It has ample drag and a smooth feel and like the rod, will cope with a wide array of situations.
Overall package
Really good value for money. Very satisfying that you have a completely self contained case which you could customise with all your various terminal tackle in, and basically be ready to fish whenever the chance presented itself. It’s a decent quality piece of kit, suitable for the novice, right through to the experienced angler who wants to have a good quality outfit at the ready tucked in the boot of the car.
This is a brill little rod. Nice quality and a really good idea. It lives in my car boot and all you need is a small box of spinners or hooks/leads to be instantly in action. Fits in hand luggage for the plane. Excellent. So much better than a telescopic – in a completely different class. A seriously nice bit of kit.
