These loungers are comfortable and have added sun visor for extra protection/reading which is handy. I don’t find them that easy to put up and down but maybe just need to get used to doing so. You need to check your weight is evenly placed and legs are completely out as hand a mishap first time I used one!

We ordered these in anticipation of a long hot summer (always a mistake and usually a surefire guarantee of days of cloudy skies and ‘wettest summer on record’ type headlines’) and our week in Majorca dans le jardin (as our flights were cancelled). What a pleasant surprise. They are really sturdy, can go completely flat – which I prefer sometimes – or can be angled for optimum book-reading/snoozing/daydreaming. They are pretty basic – I wasn’t expecting much more for the price – but surprisingly comfortable, and of course can be supplemented with various pillows and cushions as required. I do like the thoughtful little sunscreen which is ideal for reading when the sun is overhead. For all these reasons, I am giving them five stars. Only downside – incidental pun a bonus – is the fact that they are very low so a bit difficult to get on and off without an inelegant scramble. On the plus side, this does mean that your glass is easier to reach, of course, when it’s on a convenient tray on the grass next to you. Very pleased with this purchase. Oh, and they are very simple to put up and take down and have a handy carrying strap. Thoroughly recommended.

For the cost. The material and framework which makes up the majority of these loungers is OK and will definitely last a while, however some of the screw and plate fittings are a bit sub standard. No doubt my DIY husband will have to replace those! Having thoroughly checked the market these were definitely best value at 89.99.
