In early 2020 I wall mounted a TV and it looked superb. But then Covid happened and that room became a home office …the room needed a re-think.

The best place for the TV now is a false wall that doesn’t even feel like plasterboard, honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if it was cardboard! Wall mounting a TV on that wall is ruled-out, I’m sure someone with more DIY skills than me could do something funky with some screw type I’ve never heard of, but it’s beyond my skill and would just stress me out.

This stand though is superb, I’ve been able to attach my TV using its Vesa mount to the stand and push the stand against the wall. The base of the stand goes underneath the Ikea TV stand I have (it has a PlayStation on it and some funky retro-gaming decorations) – the overall result looks like the TV is wall mounted. The black metal stand which runs down to the base isn’t distracting, it actually looks neater than the cable trunking I was using before. The trunking had to be glued to the wall and there was an obvious slant to it, whereas this is always going to be straight and central to the TV.

So now I have a TV which has the benefits of being wall mounted without the faff of actually wall mounting it. If I need to swap cables, or position the TV to a new area I can simply move the stand.

In a nutshell: A great TV stand, sturdy and simple. it looks plain so it doesn’t dominate your view, it hides cables well and the base is quite slim and fits under other furniture so you can position a unit in front of it should you wish. The glass base does look quite nice though should you wish to leave it exposed.

 

Product was good value, and sturdy – some of the assembly steps could have been a little clearer but all assembled fine .Great for positioning Monitor off surface tops, especially where traditional wall mounting is not possible

 

I ordered this for my 39″ TV. It has VESA fixing points at the back of the TV.
The stand is smart looking with a glossy black glass base, which sits on the floor. The stand is black metal.
It looks nice.

Instruction / Assembly: Comes in boxed and needs assembly. The instructions were good. The components are all packed individual bags marked A B C D etc It was easy to locate all the parts. Tool required and included.

Good :
– Glass base — tempered glass in black — 8mm thick. Rounded edges
– Ideal for TV between 30″ to 70″

– Swivel (limited)

– Moveable (compared to being fixed on the wall. Although TV should be removed, as the base made of glass)

Negatives
– The black glass did need cleaning, It had a haze on it.
– The mounts for the back of the TV can present a challenge.

I did have some challenges. There are a pair of metal bars that are fitted to the VESA mount points. Both those bars are 425mm long. The back of your TV needs to be “flat” (going up and down) for a distance of 425mm, along the VESA screws points which go up and down (I hope this makes sense).

It is worth inspecting the back of your TV before ordering, to make sure no power cables are coming out, along those VESA mount points. My TV wasn’t flat and it had a protrusion. The mounting brackets are flexible, so you have options, but you do need to be aware.

In summary, this is a lovely TV stand. It does what it says. You do need a friend to help, even momentarily. It is worth buying (but check the VESA mountain points at the back of your TV).

I like its practical and useful design.

This stand looks and feel well made from a good quality materials, sturdy and durable.
I like its glass base.
It feels very safe and stable with my 65″ flat screen TV on it.

Initially I wanted TV to be mounted on the wall, but then resigned as soon we will redecorate and I didn’t want to have additional holes in the wall after taking TV off, so this stand was a perfect solution for me.

It doesn’t take much space, it is quite flat and close to the wall, just what I needed.

It looks nice and neat, all cables are well hidden.

Excellent quality and design, very good priced, so I would happily recommend it.
