We absolutely adore this bell tent, it’s really well made, nice heavy duty canvas, brilliant design, jack stove in place for the wood burner.. We did lots of research, this has come up trumps, time after time..

It being sold as not waterproof, was not a problem, we waterproofed it, all before using it last summer, and then endured the wettest 10 days of any summer we had lived through, with so much rain and storms.. Yet us and the tent were warm, dry and snug..

    Just fantastic ..

We put this up in the garden during summer as a bit of an escape from the heat. Ok, so it did get a bit warm in there anyway but it was out of the direct sun which was the point I guess. For someone not all that great at camping this was pretty easy to put up, between two adults it was done in a few minutes and held well. A bit of time to plan out the patch before would have helped, I think we met somewhere in the middle during pegging and it wasn’t quite sat right but it did the job and was a nice place to be to get away. All folded back up into the bag provided once done and stored in the garage til next year.

Our first experience with a bell style tent, and we were mightily impressed with the quality and finish of everything. We are a camping family and camp with our canvas trailer tent every year for 3 weeks during the summer as well as holiday weekends throughout the year. We were so impressed with everything in the bag, the quality of materials used, the two types of very heavy nail style pegs and the rope guylines. It’s so easy to erect: peg the base of the bell tent out with the thinner pegs, then fit the single center pole and the A frame for the door entrance, then guy it out! You have to fit the guylines yourself the first time you take it out the bag. I push all the guy line pegs in by hand first working my way round the bell tent (you could give a light tap with a hammer if you need to), I find it saves me then adjusting them all after I’ve hammered them in only to pull them back out to get them in line with the seams on the tent. Like I mentioned previously we own a canvas trailer tent which cost us a few thousands pounds, and the rubber flooring ground sheet felt of the same quality. We were equally impressed with the build quality of the tent, with all the stitching and zips finishing being immaculate. The big plus point with poly cotton is that it’s naturally waterproof and it breaths when it’s dry so the tent is so much cooler in warm weather. Me and the wife sat in it discussing it when it was 24 degrees weather and it was fine to sit in, I suppose the high ceiling height with this style of tent will help with that as well. We are now going to use this for weekends away instead of our trailer tent as it’s so easy and quick to put up along with all the benefits a poly cotton tent offers. Given the quality of the materials used (poly cotton) and the finish and quality of everything included we think it’s a great price. Comes with guarantee, spare groundsheet patch and spare canvas patch. Very impressive!

Very easy to put up and very bright inside, I put this up and took it down single handed. Heavy to carry but great if you can park where you are camping. Might be a bit cramped for 4 people but perfect for 2 with plenty of space for bags.

    Excellent festival te

I originally ordered this to use for my wife and I for the occasional weekend away but after looking over this tent it is to heavy for us now that we are getting older and the installation is a little to exhausting, lol. So after some thought I decided to let my daughter and her family have this as they are young, fit and will get far more use from it than we would.
This tent is large, much larger than it looks in the listing. It comes in a very handy carry bag which is big enough to hold the tent with all of the accessories and still has room for any other small items that might be taken when camping. I am now quite old and not particularly strong anymore but I could still put this over my shoulder and carry it for a short distance.
Opening the bag is easy using the good quality zipper which slides open without grabbing or snagging, this then allows access to the array of contents including, the tents fabric construction, the poles, ropes and ground spikes. I’m sure for someone that already uses a tent that this will be self explanatory for putting together but for the rest of us this also has a decent instruction guide sown into the bag which I thought was a great idea as it won’t get lost and being fabric it won’t become torn or unreadable.
Unfortunately we haven’t had the weather up here to be able to erect this fully and to be honest I think doing that might have ended whatever energy my wife and I still have, lol. Looking at the instructions and the quality of the items I don’t see any problems with using this and for any able-bodied people being able to quite quickly erect it.
As can be seen from the photos the tent is well packed and all of the items are of a high quality, the ropes look and feel very similar to sailing ropes so should last well in all weathers and the ground spikes are solid, sharp and built from a heavy piece of steel so they won’t bend or snap.
The actual tent fabric is of a good thickness and although it isn’t coated it has a tight weave so should expel water easily enough, with this piece of kit they even supply some small squares of fabric just incase of damage to the tent so that it can be repaired.
Excellent quality and at a good price at just under 300 (at the time of this review) for a large and full kit, I just wish I was 30 years younger, lol.

Great Quality, Large and Heavy But Still Easy To Carry

Going to be using this for summer festival season. It’s a stylish Yurt style bell tent.

Had a dry run with the tent today, so I am well versed in how it goes up and packs back down, and so there are no surprises when we come to use it. All in all, i’m pretty happy with this. The groundsheet is very thick durable waterproof material, it’s not going to get punctured easily. The tent itself is a fabric material. Had no problems erecting it. Took 2 of us, less than 30 mins including the guy ropes.

Everything you need, aside from a mallet, is included in the bag. The poles are lightweight aluminium and sturdy they are also internally strung together, so they don’t get mixed up, and are a doddle to put together and retract.

I liked how the groundsheet can be zipped out, and the sides lifted to create an open tent, or can be used in an integrated traditional manner. The kit also includes some repair material, just in case.

    Festival Season.

So pleased with the quality of this! It has a very spacious interior for our family of four.
Easy to set up, but I need someone to help me with the erection and dismantling.
The day I built it was sunny, so I’m not sure about the waterproofness of the tent canvas. But because the tent is not waterproof Oxford cloth, and there is no waterproof coating, as in the product description, it may be able to withstand light and moderate rain, but it really cannot withstand heavy rain. But since we’re all spring and summer and camping in rain-free weather, the fabric didn’t affect us.
Windows and doors are double-layered with mesh + fabric, and the mesh keeps air circulation while preventing mosquitoes from entering. However, don’t worry about the air circulation. There are 4 mesh windows on the side wall to keep the air flowing, and all of them are made of cloth + zipper to keep out the rain.
The surrounding edge extension design can prevent rainwater from splashing to the bottom of the tent and is used to fix the windproof rope. And used for ground nails to increase stability.

If it is raining on the day you put away the tent, you should remove the mud on the tent in time and dry the tent first. Putting away the tent in a humid environment will easily cause the fabric to become moldy.
