I had a very bad experience with a Munbyn printer and bought this one is a hurry because I had a pile of parcels that were running late. Polono was straightforward to set up and worked well, which allowed me to print all the labels and hand them over to Royal Mail and 2 other couriers. The parcels have since reached their destinations without any problems. So far I’m happy and relieved.

Easy set up, can use lots of different sized labels and can print from various programmes, prints exceptionally quick and instantly knows what label you have load. I purchased when on 50% discount, but would be well worth the full price

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGreat printer, low cost but produces high quality labels. Driver is easy to install with given instructions. Works well for 6×4 shipping labels and small stickers as well.

I recommend going into the printer settings and changing the print speed to the lowest setting (in Windows: go to printers and scanners, click “Manage” on the PL60, click “Printing preferences”, click “Advanced” on the Page tab, then on the “Speed” tab move the slider to the slowest). This makes it print labels slightly slower, but it will print smaller details like small text more clearly. Normally a label would print in about 1 second, this way it takes about 3 seconds, but you don’t need it to print that fast and this makes it print higher quality.

    I love this printer!
As a business owner I have probably been through 2-3 different brands of thermal printers which has sadly disappointed.

But this printer is great!!!! I love it. Somes with the thermal paper holder and has an automatic system to make the labels straight.

No more having to lift and realign the paper roll! It makes ky life easier as you just press 5 seconds on the button and boom realigned!

The color is also quite cute a big breather from the plain black ones I had before.

Simple software to download comes in USB. Easy install it’s as if it’s just plug and play that simple.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great and efficient printe

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersA really great piece of kit that feels premium. The label cradle is a nice touch too. The issue is it doesn’t work out of the box with UPS. You have to download the label, take a screenshot, rotate it and then crop it down to 4×6. Works great with eBay, PayPal and Royal Mail but the bulk of my labels are UPS sadly so could really do with this company and UPS getting together to work out how to move forward as the after sales is a bit poor. I want to click print and that’s it, I shouldn’t have to be screenshotting and cropping labels to get them to work.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI swithered about this purchase. I needed a printer for Royal Mail Click and Drop labels. Small quantities, around 10 a day. I have a MacBook Pro 2020 and docking station. I downloaded the Mac driver from the Polono website. That was all I needed for installation.

It works perfectly. I can dock the Mac, plug in the USB-C and print labels within seconds. Always sees the printer (which is more than I can say for my HP OfficeJet).

It came with a rack for labels on a roll and fanfold. A USB A-C adapter too. A USB stick which supposedly has drivers, but I just downloaded them. It’s been here almost three weeks and I am super happy with it.

A minor thing, but the Mac remembers which printer each application is using. So Royal Mail labels always go to the Polono, and everything else to the HP. No need to mess around with settings each time.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersWorks great so far. I was really confused how to get the labels to print correctly until I realized each site like eBay, Poshmark, Pirate Ship, etc. has their own options to print on 4×6 labels. That cleared up all my problems!

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersIt’s a nice printer but if you need for printing Etsy shipping labels this will not work, you have to do a whole ritual from downloading the label, opening it in a pdf software, rotating it, selecting it, taking a screenshot and then print it. So this will not print directly from etsy. The other thing is i selected the roll labels and the base came for the other ones, the stacked ones!

For this type of device all you want is something that you plug in and it can work straight away without having to set up anything extra and once all set up it needs to continue working consistently without any errors or hiccups.

As I mentioned above it does all that I just plugged it straight in directly connected to my PC, as it’s plug and play it was ready to use straight away as a normal printer then setting it up on my click and drop set up with Royal Mail was really simple I just set it as my preferential printer for labels and now when I print off all of my labels they reel themselves out without any issues.

This is a feed in type printer so some of the packs include a feeder that sits behind the printer add a roll of labels and they just gradually send the labels through the printer printing it reasonably fast, with that in mind it means that you can have a very wide variety of different types of labels that are all compatible with this one printer you don’t need to have one that specifically fits inside it like a lot of other label printers. I currently use the free labels that come from the Royal Mail and they fit him run through perfectly well so that is actually another cost saver.

I run a small business where I ship my products, this printer has changed the game for me, it does what it’s intended to do, print. Setting up is easy, I, however, ship with Chit Chats and it works great, but there is additional software to download, but all very easy to do. No more printing labels on my home printer.

I bought this because I sell items online as a sideline and the usual thermal printers that supports shipping albels are quite expensive. I purchased this one because my traditionnal printer was a costy disaster to use and I’m really satisfied: not only is this thermal printer cheap, but it does work very well and is easy to set up! As opposed to pricier alternatives, this one can use pretty much any labels: I tried with free labels supplied by Canada Post, which never worked with any previous model, and they worked extremely well with this one! The printing quality is close to being perfect, with slight imperfections that do not compromise the scanning of labels, but there are plenty of options to adjust it to your likings – the only downside being that the menu appears in another language, but is quite easy to figure out. I really recommend this printer to anyone selling online part-time and looking for cheap alternatives!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI feel like most printers for Macs not made by Apple don’t take much effort to develop out their user experience for Mac users. This mini printer is great quality, but the thing that stood out to me was how easy it was to setup, with the drivers stored on a USB that also comes with a USB-C adapter for Mac users, as well as detailed video instructions on how to set everything up. Fantastic user experience. I usually don’t take the time to review my purchases but this one deserved it.

This label printer was ordered on behalf of a friend who needs it for quickly processing labels for orders for his business. He was previously having to print onto A4 sheets, cut his labels out and tape them into envelopes or boxes.

These thermal labels really do simplify the task of printing address labels, as well as any other labels that are needed. There’s no need to buy expensive ink like many other printers. The thermal printing also means that labels won’t smear if they get wet, as is the case with inkjet printers.

This is simple to use. It’s worth noting that this doesn’t have a Bluetooth option, however it has a usb cable included to connect it to your pc. A memory stick is included with all the required software on, alongside a usb a to c adapter, just in case you’re using it with more modern laptop that doesn’t have a spare usb-a port. Theoretically, you may also be able to connect it directly to a phone via cable and the adapter.

This looks and works professionally. It works, effectively, like a traditional printer. If you keep your customer database on your PC, you should be able to link it to print direct, or even in bulk.

Aesthetically, the purple colour on the housing looks modern and makes this stand out from other printers that are a boring black colour.

I can definitely recommend this. It works well and is a nice, convenient size for use in the office or home workplace. It can accommodate different sixes of thermal label, or even a receipt roll.

A compact and stylish mini thermal label printe

The majority of the set up and use of this item is pretty clear and easy. However!! It only has one adapter for the usb to usb-c and there’s two cords. One is to connect your computer, because this is NOT a WiFi printer like I initially thought, and the other is to plug it into an outlet. But then there’s a gig stick with the software on it and this is where it gets sticky. If you have a Mac put out after 2019 then you need an extra adapter. They’re cheap and easy to find, but if you don’t know you need it then it’s absolutely frustrating to find that out as you’re trying to print a label for something you need to ship that day. This is what happened to me. I had to go to the library, which is exactly what I DIDN’T want to do and the reason I bought a printer, so I could print the labels I purchased and mail out what I had already sold and promised. There should be another adapter in this so you can hook your Mac up to the gig stick and the printer at the same time! Other than that, it’s great.

I have bought a couple of laser label printers and I’ve had to return all of them as they arrive with barely any instructions and what is included is all in Chinese. Not being super computer literate I have not been able to set any of them up.
After seeing a YouTube video about how easy this one was to set up I decided to go for it, for someone like myself who is not a computer wiz it was the most straightforward set up, it came with a USB stick that included a video showing you exactly how to set it up and now I have the original set up done I just plug it in and print very easily.
It’s a bit annoying the price keeps fluctuating but to be honest for the convenience of the easy setup it’s worth it. It wasn’t the cheapest option and I haven’t used it that much yet but it seems to work well so far so I’m very happy with this purchase 🙂

I bought this as a backup to my DYMO XL, and it has been great. It’s easy to set up, reliable, and it works. What more can you ask for really. I wish it came with a holder for the paper, or the labels, as my labels just sit behind this on the desk and takes up space. It would be nicer if it was all contained in one unit, but thats a small thing. It works, labels are clear, our UPS guy has no issues scanning any of our parcels, so I’m happy with it.

This printer has been great for printing household labels and shipping labels. But it’s best at the shipping labels since printing images with thermal are not as clear as text. Figuring out orientation to print on the small labels was a struggle. I wish the printer had a program to lay out designs as they would be printed.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersSuper Easy setup for Windows, prints Great.
Not the case for Mac… printer configuration would not allow the right label sizes, and then when sent to printer, would just flash. Took an hour+ of troubleshooting, and was almost going to send back like many other Mac users have. Poor tech support for what seems to be a common issue based on reviews. Here is the solution (that worked for me):
1.) Uninstall the driver from online
2.) *Delete the printer from your computer* (important step)
3.) Reinstall the printer using the flash drive usb that came with the printer
4.) Re-add the printer to the computer settings
You will now be able to print & select the correct paper size!
The only problem is, the labels do not come out perfectly… there is white space. Someone said that you can get around this by taking a screen shot and cropping every time you print a label. This seems like a hassle if you do a lot of shipping. I really think that the company should address both of these issues, hence the 4 star review.

Overall the printer does a solid job at printing labels for shipping my products. Only thing I didnt like was that it didnt include a tray to hold your blank labels in so I resorted to using the box the labels came in to store them. Would recommend for others who are looking for an affordable lable printer compared to the big name brands like Dymo or Brother.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSo this is based on my day 1 impression of it – I’ll come back and update the review if anything changes.

First impression are good; the photos in the ad don’t really do it justice, it “feels” like good quality (but as always, time will tell).

Packaging was good and it came with everything that was listed (printer, label holder, USB Stick, Power and USB cables, sample black labels etc).

I found setting it up super easy; I didn’t bother reading the manual.

I just sat it where I wanted it, clipped the label caddy together (and put the spool on), plugged the printer in to the power and the computer, downloaded and installed the drivers from the official site (very easy to find them), lifted the lid and placed the labels about half way in (remembering to set the holder width correctly) and then on shutting the lid the printer automatically moved the label to the correct start location.

I made sure to tell Etsy/Ebay to generate 4×6 inch labels and then sent one to print and off it went.

Printed fine first time and took about 1 second; print quality is good for the use case, text was all readable, QR and Bar Codes looked like they should scan just fine. I would say the print quality is better than a low end inkjet printer would produce.

** Note: I’m using a roll of the cheapest labels I could find at around 6 for 500 – cheap labels didn’t seem to have any impact on print quality or operation of the unit **

Default settings are perfectly acceptable but I did set the “Density” a couple of notches higher in the printer preferences just to add a little more thickness to the text (QR and Bar Codes still looked fine).

    Really nothing to complain about.

    Recap:
    – Feels like a good quality well made unit, time will tell
    – Couldn’t have been any easier to set up (MAKE SURE YOU SET YOUR LABEL GENERATOR TO THE CORRECT PAPER SIZE!!!)
    – Prints fast with perfectly acceptable print quality.

    Would recommend 🙂

Day 1 Impression - Very Good

    Les Plus :
    * Fournie avec une cl USB (read only) qui contient la fois les drivers et des vidos tuto d’installation, c’est bien vu !
    * Dploye en 5 minutes chrono… simplicit enfantine !
    * Fournie avec un “chargeur” de papier (qui s’installe sous l’imprimante) – l encore c’est bien vu par rapport la concurrence 🙂

    Les moins :
    * Absence de logiciel fourni avec la machine en dehors des pilotes d’impression. En l’occurrence pour moi ce n’est en rien un souci car j’imprime du PDF, mais j’imagine que les afficionados de la marque que je n’ai pas cit prcdemment dplorerons ce point de dtail.

En somme je suis pleinement satisfait de cette machine, et en cas de dsillusion, je reviendrai bien entendu diter mon commentaire.

The software allows you to create custom print sizes besides the choices already available. They have a calibration feature that rolls out a few labels and at the end I just pop open the feed and lay the paper on the feed roller where will self adjust forward or backward for a perfect alignment every time. I highly recommend this printer.

It’s important to note that one must change the print settings within the application/platform one is using, such as eBay in order for the labels to print correctly. eBay seems to have it set up for 8×11 pdf, but that can be changed to a 4×6 label when selecting additional options at the time of buying/printing the shipping label.

I’ve never used a thermal printer before & was looking for something more convenient when printing labels. It was super fast, easy to install/setup. So worth it!

Item was packaged well. I’m not sure the power cable and usb cable needed their own box inside though.
Installation was very quick – plug it in via USB, turn it on and install the drivers with the provided USB stick (can also download from a website).
I did a test page of text as you can see in the video, I was amazed how quick it through the label out! Must’ve been less than a second.

The text wasn’t spectacular but I think that’s the program I used and the settings inside as I did a postage label straight after and it came out perfect. I can’t really provide a picture as it has someone’s name/address on.

Yes, I’ve only just got this so time will tell how good it is but first thoughts are that it’s spot on.

    Good stuff

This printer does exactly what it was designed to do…Print shipping labels. I am a seller on etsy and this makes printing off shipping labels simple. We’ll worth the purchase!

This makes label printing so much easier after having to print them standard and taping the labels this makes things 10x faster. I love that it is super compact and slim which takes up little room.
No issues whatsoever with pricing and setup took just a few minutes following the manual provided

Quick at setting up, nice slim design, saves so much time

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI read lots of reviews for various printers, most were cheaper then this one & I didn’t want to take the risk.

    This printer is exceptional.
    Easy to set up.
It started printing blanks so I changed the paper size in the settings & it’s worked perfectly since.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersGreat printer for the price! I print canada post labels and it works well, scans fine (I checked at post office). You can spend $300 on a fancy printer, but this one does the job and does it well. I used just the generic 4 x 6 folding labels and they fit and work fine with this printer.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’ve been a part time seller for 2 years now but never invested on thermal label printers. When I decided it’s time to purchase one, POLONO was on my list. After reading all the reviews – good & bad, I finally decided to buy it. It was the most reasonably priced with the most number of reviews. And it did not disappoint me! Installation was easy, prints fast & clear, & labels stick well on my packages! I’m a happy POLONO customer!

I am very pleased with this little thermal printer. Esp since I will no longer need to purchase $100 ink cartridges for my other printer. I must admit I hated mailing things bc I always messed up the addresses. This, however, removes that particular obstacle.

    As for the printer?

I originally intended to set it up as a networked printer, and was even able to print a label using this setup. The problem was, my network is quite congested due to my myriad DIY projects and IoT traffic, so that setup turned out to be a no go.

Next option? Hook it up to one of my computers, and forego network sharing. After reading the numerous complaints regarding the windows 10 driver and BSoDs, I opted for the OSX driver on an old MacBook.

Driver installation was a breeze. I simply downloaded the driver from the polono.com website. This insured I had the most current driver.

As for scaling? Easy Peasy. For paper size, I selected 100mm x 150mm (3.93 in x 5.90 in), checked “scale to fit” (you can select 98% if you want a border around the print area) and saved the settings as a preset, which I called, “mailing label.” (see attached pic)

Now, it’s a matter of selecting the polono printer (PL60) any time I’m printing a label, without having to tweak the settings again.

Just what I was looking for!

Golden Review Award: 257 From Our UsersThe machine itself I believe is a great little must have for small business. I did not like the lack of instructions. Once connected, no further instructions are giving, such as downloading the drives. Also, no instructions that in order for it to work one must change settings if they are printing labels for 3rd party shipping companies, such as Shippo, Pirate Ship, Shopify et.

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersI had been printing shipping labels on regular letter paper, cutting them out with scissors, then taping them to my boxes. As my business grew, I wanted something more efficient, and this Polono thermal printer does the job. It feels substantial and sits solidly on the table. A rack was included for holding rolls or stacks of thermal labels. I did have to assemble the rack, but that wasn’t difficult.
Drivers and a PDF manual are included on a very small thumb drive. The manual is written in good English and is easy to understand. This thing is fast, too. It will print a 4″x6″ thermal label in one second flat.
I’m a seller on Etsy. I had wasted several labels trying to get this printer to print a label properly on a 4″x6″ shipping label. I finally discovered that Etsy lets you select thermal label printing. When I clicked that option, everything started working perfectly.
I should note one thing. The product description appears to imply that when you feed the paper into the back of the printer, the printer will grab it and position it for you. That doesn’t happen. You have to open the top, position the paper over the roller, and close the top over it. At that point, the paper will position itself. No big deal, but a bit misleading.
This thermal printer does not have a standby or low-power sleep mode. You have to turn on the power switch before sending a print job to it.
I would recommend this product to a friend.

I’m starting a small business so I did not want to spend $200 on a printer immediately however this printer has been great! It was packaged well and I was pleasantly surprised about the label tray included. Very nice deal for both of them! I have a MacBook and found it fairly easy to install the program. It did take of googling to figure out how to change the printers paper size however once I was able to setup the printer drive fo auto recognize 4×6 labels it’s been super easy. You stick the labels in through the back of the printer and it will do the rest once you close the top. My only complaint is the label doesn’t print as dark as it does when you print a test page. The test page is very crisp and bold so I know the printer is capable of printing well, I just unfortunately haven’t been successful in finding the appropriate settings for my MacBook. If you’re technologically challenged then setup for this may be difficult but again it’s common sense to Google or reach out to the company for help. Setup took about 15 minutes. Can’t wait to start using it more! It doesn’t took up too much space. I was able to fit the paper tray and printer in those cubby hole book shelves. It’s a great label printer for those starting off or want to save a bit of money!
