I’ve been through about 4 different models of 6″ clip-on fans and they all broke after 6-12months. Haven’t had this one 6 months yet but so far it appear to be much better quality than the others. It’s built much better and the operation is smooth and quiet. It does feel like it’s more modern and hopefully the upgrade will make them last.

If i come back to amend my review, we are back to square one, if not The fan has performed flawlessly.

The price is a tad high but if it’s as good as i think it is .. it’s worth it.

Although relatively quiet on low power mode, still makes an annoying low frequency hum, and depending on what angle you place the fan at it can also make an very annoying clicking sound.
Its also hard to position as you can only rotate or swivel it on one axis.

A great product – looks and feels good quality – the grab handle is excellent – it’s whisper quiet which is important as my wife uses it to cool down in bed.

Bought this to replace similar item. This one is much quieter, a lot more powerful and has much needed feature that is simple yet improves it 100%. Rubber grips inside the clip grip section. Which means less likely to slip or move in use. It makes it so much safer. As well as making it more suitable for attaching to vertical rail. Which is exactly how I have to use it. On vertical bed rail. See picture

    Worth every penny

This is an incredible fan for its size! I’m a strange person who likes a fan on my bedside table every night all year round! (I know) and this fits the job [almost] perfectly!

There are just 2 tiny tiny niggles:

    1) lowest setting is a fraction too loud and powerful. I could personally have done with another setting below 1

    2) I struggle to twist it horizontally and usually any minor adjustments are made by moving the whole thing. Eg the clip

But honestly I would highly recommend it. The clip is super powerful and the whole thing is very well built. This will be ideal for the colder months when my massive tower fan is too much (see previous comment about being weird!!)

Absolutely love this fan, I have it over 12 months and it is working non stop and it works great non issues, the build quality is great. I never felt the need to review a clip fan but this one is so good and it has lasted the test of time, I felt i had to. Well done Pro Breeze team, you’ve made a great product.

It is fantastic for after my shower and needing to dry my face after applying my nightly retinol and vitamin C serums, was fantastic for the summer also when it was getting a bit too uncomfortably hot but I have found many uses for it ranging from skincare to chemistry, low drain on power and very useful.

This fan has been great. I have it hooked to my bedside table and switch it on at night when I’m having hot flushes due to menopause. I’m still able to sleep as it’s quite a gentle hum. I recently bought one for my daughter too who loves it.

These fans were life savers in the heat as we have two bunkbeds in our children’s rooms and the weather was stifling for our children being up so high.
They are 11 and 14, and found the fans were a little noisy, but not so much that they couldn’t sleep and were pretty powerful/

I bought this fan for extra cooling in my bedroom, I have it hanging upside down over my computer monitors and I just leave the fan running 24/7. Its quiet enough that it does not disturb me when am sleeping. Even tho its small and portable it still requires to be plugged in to the mains.

    Good portable fa

Much better quality than expected. Jaws that open well over an inch with rubber over the teeth to ensure no damaged caused by the heavy duty clip. I have this on a shelf above my computer and during the 4 days of English summer, it was brilliant! Kept me nice and cool without an oppressive background noise.

The device was just what I was looking for, it was lightweight, easy to assemble and worked. However, when clipping it to a table for the first time in a caravan in front of my dogs we found that it was not as powerful as we were led to believe.

I took the front cover off because I realised that you can feel it 10x better !
The noise level is low but it kinda vibrates my bed head when my head touch’s the bed head
    (a little annoy) .
It is powerful for something that small it does keep me cool at night.

    Recommend!!

Good quality for a clip on fan, does the job of keeping you cool, and its not noisy at all its quite quiet, only thing is it has an awkward turn button at the back, would have been much better with a switch you can press. All in all im happy with this purchase.

My husband and I have a double desk home office set up. He cheekily stole my old mini USB fan when the weather got hot and positioned it where I couldn’t use it. So of course I retaliated by buying this beauty and facing it towards my desk. Needless to say he is very jealous! Haha. Excellent buy. Great size, the clip is strong, the rotation is easy and convenient, not too noisy, and the two speeds are a bonus. Perfect for working from home. I can’t comment on what it would be like as a main fan, but as a desk accessory it’s genius.

    Perfect to one-up cheeky husbands!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI only received this item so I can’t give an honest review of how it providing relief in the heat but it does seem like a pretty good item.

It has two settings, slow and fast. Pretty quite in the slower mode. A little noisier on the fast setting which is to be expected I guess. All in all its not annoying or unbearable.
There is a nice stream of cold air coming from it at the low setting so I will see how it fairs when the weather gets hot again so I will update this review then.

All in all though it seems like a well built produc

Very pleasantly surprised. A decent fan with two speeds that are definitely powerful enough for a seam fan. Also not too noisy, or at least the noise blends into the background easily and you forget it’s on. I’ve already recommended this to some people as it’s very good value. One small thought is that a second option to swap between the included clip and a stand (which isn’t included) would be great, but for the price I can’t really fault it for not having a stand option. Also the clip is very strong and will clip onto quite wide desks/bedside tables etc

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe product does what it says on the tin, its a clip on fan that attaches to most table tops or work top surfaces and I’ve even clipped it onto my bedroom door facing the bed, on hot nights. It has 2 settings, hi and low, “manual” tilt and swivel features. Its still going strong after 3 years of use and I’ve never had a problem with it over the years. The fan is a little noisy in a quite room but this is to be expected but you should be fine sleeping with it on it you put it at a distance. I’ve been using it a lot over the years, during hot days or even while cooking and never turned it of during summer months either. Great value for money.

Brilliant little fan! Lightweight. I’ve just replaced my old one of 15yrs, it’s only 15watts and powerful!
It’s not noisy, I use this in my bedroom, point it upwards towards a wall and the breeze around my room is lovely, even better pointed straight at you.
I haven’t used the 2nd speed as yet, the 1st one is more than adequate.
A high quality fan and a nifty clip to attach it to a table, 5 stars from me!

This is a great little fan, not too small with a very sturdy clip that keeps it in place wherever I put it. Very quiet too. I’m quite surprised by this little fan. I didn’t realise when I bought it that it was all metal, which gives it a strong feel. I am really pleased and would recommend.

First fan to arrive was manufacturer sealed, but missing the thumbscrew to tighten the clamp to the body.
Contacted the seller, who could not have been more helpful, kept in touch and sent a replacement immediately. Excellent seller service from “One Retail Group”.
The fan itself is lightweight but robust enough for normal use. The clamp opens up enough to firmly hold on a 35mm wide baton, but probably won’t open more than say 38mm. The clamp can be turned various ways making it quite versatile as far as fixing positioning is concerned. Air flow is good with 2 speed settings, and the fan is pretty quiet in use. I would have no problem with this in a bedroom for instance, but am using it as a cooling fan over a treadmill. Hope this review is helpful

Golden Review Award: 44 From Our UsersMy son has a very special bed with high sides and a hospital mattress that gets really hot in summer. I have lots of fans in his room but I thought it would be nice if he could have his own little one inside his bed. I did my research and found that this fan was the best for him.

    The pros:
    1) The clip is strong and the fan is light.
    2) Noise level is minimal on low setting. A little more noisy ( but not much) on higher setting.
    3) The wind generated is like a very light breeze, so not strong which is good, even on the higher setting. It is not intrusive but is refreshing. It could be placed onto a baby’s cot on the lower setting.
    4) The direction can be changed easily. My son can turn it towards him or away from him.
    5) It can be clipped upright or upside down like a bat.

    6) My favourite pro: it is totally safe! There is no risk of fingers stuck within the grill or reaching the blades.
Also, it did not over heat which is another plus for me. I have regularly checked the motor for signs of over heating and it did not.

Note: Sometimes my son has managed to prise it away from the bar to keep him next to him. I found that did not affect the fan because the fan doesn’t rotate ( which is both a pro and a con). It was a relief but I always clip it back onto the bars. Note that if he managed to detach it from the bars is by no mean a default in the clip. My son works hard at it and doesn’t understand he shouldn’t pull it.

    The not so pros:
    1) The controls are at the back. In the case of my son, it is a good thing as he would have it on high all the time but for a more able person, this might not be practical.
    3) The fan doesn’t rotate. Which as I mentioned above, can be a pro or a con, depending on whom the fan is for.

I am happy with it. Now I need to buy another one so I can rotate them.

One thing though : I do not use it overnight and remove it from my son’s bed. I use a standing fan a bit away from him so he doesn’t catch a chill, even in summer. Also , they are more heavy duty. In summer time, my fans work in shift of 5 or 6 hours as not to overheat and break down ( his room gets so hot in summer.)

To all the carers/parents out there (and everyone else, of course) if you are looking for a safe personal fan, I would recommend this one without hesitation. Safety is my No 1 priority. Until now, this little fan has ticked all the boxes.

Very safe for a SEND young perso

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersI’ve had a few of these smaller clip on fans over the years and they usually have some quirks. Often, the clip leaves a big mark after being attached for a while, the fan rattles once it’s seen some use or its loud.

I’m very pleased with the Pro Breeze Professional Mini 6″ Clip Fan. None of the above problems are an issue:

    – The clip has rubber pads on it so that it grips the surface more effectively, reduces vibrations from the fan (reducing overall noise) and doesn’t leave a mark.

    – The fan itself is very quiet. I was pleasantly suprised to discover it was no louder than the fan on my computer base unit. I have attached a video so you can hear how loud it is while attached to a surface.

    – So far, after a week of pretty much continual use it doesn’t seem to be any louder.

I’ve learned to trust Pro Breeze products so far, having had a dehumidifier and air purifier from them. I hope that the rest of their products keep the standard.

I use it in my RV and it is very very quiet and moves a lot of air for it’s size. The motor is powerful and the speeds are well thought out.
You can’t get anywhere near this level of performance from USB, so it’s the first step-up to actually circulate warm air around the whole van compartment silently vs. just across the desk which is all you’ll get from a USB fan.
    Well made and designed.
    Very highly regarded.

Using two of these small fans in our motor-home, which is laid-up during lockdown.

One was useful in the bed space during the hot weather, clipping to a panel and now we can’t use the motor home, I am running the fans occasionally to keep a circulation, with small dehumidifiers to keep it all dry in the cold weather.

It’s the best fan for the size in terms of air flow, I have bought this same fan 5 times because it’s so good and I will continue to buy it. However 4 of 5 failed in the same way and am only writting this review so your aware. The fan will start to go on and off by itself, picking the fan, waggling the wire etc would usually get it working again. At this point be careful because eventually you will see little sparks of flame (at the point shown in the picture, basically the clip holding the wire is very tight and with careless use the internal plastic seperating the wires fail and they make contact causing the sparks). so once you start to get intermitten failure discontinue use because it’s likely to become a fire hazard and at this point definitely don’t leave it unsupervised. Am a guy, I hand the fan roughtly at times carrying it by the wire so this is likely down to me. I continue to buy the fan and I am not discouraging anyone just warning you to handle with care and at first sign of intermitten power failure, dispose. I emailed photo and problems to manufacturer customer services they were more interested in purchase history/place of purchase, replacement etc. I did my good deed and told them, they didnt seem to take it onboard so now am telling you, my job is done.

Best fan for the size but handle with care, possible

I like this fan. I clip it onto things around the house to keep me cooler while exercising, either in the summer when it’s too hot to move without it or now it’s in the autumn and the heating is starting to come on. I need it cooler to exercise than the house normally needs to be. I could turn the heating down but that’s not an option while my partner is working from home and the house is set as the right temperature for him. It adds some nice air movement when the windows have to be shut. The clip seems to be pretty strong and I haven’t had any problems in the months I’ve been using it. It’s also pretty quiet which is a bonus. The cable is also a decent length so having it pointed at my head while exercising is good.

With upcoming heatwave, it was a great product purchased at the right time. Fast delivery in secure packaging. It’s easy to assemble and does a great job! Theres two modes for speed, the faster mode is obviously slightly louder than the slower mode however its bearable to sleep through – anything is better than nothing to sleep in this heat! There is a good size sturdy clip to allow the fan to to clip onto anything and any surface, great if you want it directly above your bed for a comfortable night rest. The cable is a good length if you’re struggling with nearby sockets. Great product I would recommend a purchase.

Ok, had to rate warmth as 1 star, its a fan! I don’t want it to be warming! Its a sturdy little gadget that is quiet enough that I can have it on full blast in the bedroom, clipped to the wardrobe handle and I can sleep through it. Its portable, has a great strong clip and gets to all the angles needed to make it work for me, no matter where I sit or sleep. In this heat, with “tropical moments” (lets face it, that sounds much better than “hot flushes”) it has been a godsend. Fab piece of equipment. Can’t recommend it enough.

I have been looking for some small quite fans to clip onto the childrens bed to keep them cool at night but most i came across were battery charged and dont last long.
I have bought other pro breeze products on amazon and they have always been good so I gave the fans a go and I’m glad I did as they have been a live saver in the recent heat wave, the fans clip on well and easily and are strong so don’t end up slipping and the two fan settings are both pretty quiet. Only negative is that the plug cable could be a little longer but that cable ve easily sorted with an extension cable.

I ordered this because a tower fan wasn’t available on the hottest day in the UK. Honestly, this little thing is amazing. If you need a fan to keep you cool as you work, this is brilliant. It’s fairly quiet, but pretty powerful. So much so I actually cancelled the tower fan order because it just wasn’t needed. Used it during sleep too and had no isssues falling asleep – minimal noise. Love a good quarantine purchase!

Now I’m working from home, this does a good job of keeping me cool on those warmer days. I’ve got it clipped to a unit approx 2 feet from my head at head height. I think it would struggle on those rare days in the UK where the temperature or humidity gets really high, but so would any fan to be honest. Luckily we only seem to get a couple of these a year in the UK, so this does the job for me for the vast majority of the year.

It’s fairly quiet – I’ve asked people on conference calls if they can hear it and they have told me that they can’t.

Seems good build quality too, so I’d recommend this.

Works pretty well if you use it for what it is supposed to be useful. If you’re expecting it to cool down your living room then it probably won’t suit but it is supposed to be a desktop fan and for that purpose it’s great. This is a real review you can rely on. I hate that there are so many fake ones we can’t rely on as purchasers.

This is a fantastic versatile fan, surprisingly has a lot of power it’s a bit noisy is used next to the bed but used away it’s absolutely fine. For the price I paid I’m well impressed and would def recommend I didn’t expect it to be as good as it is. It’s small but mighty and I clipped it to the open window so it blew cold air into the room it was amazing what difference it makes.

The Pro Breeze Professional 6″ Mini Clip Fan is sturdily constructed and very effective. It is not as quiet as I’d hoped. But the noise level isn’t a serious problem. The powerful clip and adjustable tilt etc. make it easy to position for effect and comfort. But the designer missed a trick in not having the clip double as a desktop stand. None of which would stop me recommending the product. I’m just picky!

  59. RoseMoonexz says:

The is small and will clip to any surface up to 20mm thick. The points I did not like were that the securing bolt attaching the fan to the pedestal can be difficult to fit and tighten because of it’s proximity to the fan guard. It could be improved if the head was able to rotate on 2 planes, particularly when attached to a vertical surface. For the price it is an effective fan.

Really impressed with this fan. The clip is really strong and great to attach to our bedside tables ( we have purchased two ) really good value for money and is a great space saving idea . I would purchase one for the office when I return. The fan has two settings at the back and has excellent power on both settings. The noise is not over powering and does not keep you awake. There is only one recommendation I would make and that would be a switch of some sort at the front of the fan, the reason Being if I want to switch it of In the night I have to physically get up and stretch over to turn off the dial from the back , so would be easier to switch of from the front. The fan can also be positioned round to suit which way you the air go circulate.

Great little fan but the screw to hold the head of the fan up is impossible to do up tightly so the fan head falls down all the time. The clamp grips well but has fallen off a couple of times in the night, giving me a fright!

I purchased this to use in my shed whilst using my bicycle on a turbo (static) trainer during the lockdown for some daily exercise. I fitted the fan via the clip to a joist in the shed and due to the versatile adjustment I could angle it exactly in the right place. The 2 speeds are useful too. I’m very pleased with it and a nice extra is the perceived ‘personal touch’ from the maker. Recommended.

I must say that I am really impressed with this small and versatile fan! the fan speed is amazing and far exceeded my expectations. I usually only keep this on the 1st setting as is more than powerful for my needs. Also I would like to point out that this is a very strong and well built fan compared to others I have tried that break within the 1st few weeks. Also the clip is fantastic and holds the fan onto literally anything and has full motion control on the head for perfect positioning, genius design!
I will be buying another one of these very soon for my wife’s parents to clip onto their coffee table this summer!

This is used in the bedroom to replace a small usb one that lasted 2 years before dying. Unlike that one this is more like a small traditional fan which plugs directly into the plug socket. It’s bigger than the usb one, I’d say slightly noisier but far more powerful. The noise is fine really and doesn’t stop you nodding off, just that it’s obviously not completely silent. Very happy with the product at the moment, time will tell if it lasts.

I use a fan for sleeping, it drowns out the sound of birds at 4.30am and a neighbours dog which starts barking at the first sign of the paperboy [I’ll say nothing about the wife’s snoring, though 😉 ]
Anyhoo, being a light sleeper I have struggled with previous fans which have been very variable with squeaks and speed hunting up and down which makes them very difficult to sleep with.
This fan however has a rock solid non-varying hum which is perfect. It also seems more powerful than other, supposedly, ‘powerful’ clip on fans, so I am very happy with my purchase

I bought this to help circulate air around my plants in a grow room. And it’s too powerful, since it’s not a large area to begin with, which is not a design fault, it’s not exactly designed for the purpose I needed it for, so I’ve resorted to using a fan speed controller also purchased off here (which isn’t the best but just about does the job) and it’s now much more fit for purpose. An additional, much slower setting for a light breeze would have been nice, but again, it’s not a design issue, would just have been convenient for me. Very well built, solid fan, very powerful (albeit a bit noisy) on full setting, yet it doesn’t half shift some air so you can’t expect it to be whisper quiet. Slow setting is relatively quite and still gives a decent airflow, although I doubt I could sleep with it on, we’ll find out in the summer I guess. I would recommend.

absolutely fab little fans .bargain price for what they are
I bought 1 for my husband but after seeing his in use ,I had to purchase another for myself with being on the menopause this is a dream come true .I put it on low and clipped above my head in my bed slats on headboard and it keeps my flushes at bay all night .
it’s very quiet I dont even hear them now ,we have 1 each on our sides of bed and both are on every night and it dont disturb us at all
overall a perfect powerful fan for a cheap price .I prefer these over a stand up fan as u can direct it to where u are warm.
amazing little fan very powerful and not noisy
it has 2 settings and even on the highest setting its not loud

I love this fan, normally I have to take the caging off of fans because they just don’t give me the breeze I need. But this fan has two amazing breeze settings so I don’t have to take the cage off at all! It is so easy to put together took me literally 2 seconds. All fans make noise you’re not going to get one that doesn’t and I go to sleep with this fan on every single night so I’d say it’s pretty quiet. I love it so cheap and so good. 100% 5 stars and 100% worth the money

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersFairly low noise level on the lower power setting which still provides effective air circulation. Noisier as you would expect on full power but still not excessive. The clip feels nice and solid and should keep the fan in place as long as it is secure to start with. There is some limitation to the angles you can set this up at due to the design of the unit where the power cable comes in to the motor. This however is just me being picky.

Recommended, there are slightly cheaper fans on Amazon but this seems like a good choice for a cheap but good quality clip on fa

    Quiet and effective

We’re using this fan to clip to the side of our son’s high bed, which can be very warm on hot days, so were specifically looking for a fan with a clip attachment and as it was to be used through the night, one that wasn’t too noisy.

Can’t fault the assembly and the clip is robust, doesn’t feel flimsy like it might easily break. Fan has good manouverability once attached, tilting up and down to face along the bed.

The fan is by no way silent, it has moving parts and I know enough about science to have a realisitic expectation of noise levels but it is quiet and certainly doesn’t disrupt the sleep of my son and is an improvement on what would be a stuffy, hot night’s disturbed sleep anyhow!

    Would recommend.

This is a really good small fan. It is very quiet and gives a nice cool breeze on some very hot and humid days. My main reason for using was to get air circulating and reduce the humidity in the living room which has happened with help from a different fan on the other side of the room. The clamp is very impressive and would lock it on to just about anything suitable. Mine is clamped sideways on, on a small table.
It took seconds to put together out of the box so I would recommend. By next year I hope to get another Hive plug to use with the fan so that it can on before I get up in the Morning. There are two speed settings and I have been using the stronger one.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAs the weather in England is very hot at the moment, I was very much in need of a cooler fan. This one did not dissapoint me. It is small but it cools like bigger fans so, it is very effective. It has 2 settings; 1 is for normal cooling, and 2 is strong but even in 1, it is quite good.

Comments were saying it was quiet. I found it a bit noisy, well actually louder than expected. But I’m a student and I live in dorms so, my room is quite small and I had to out it next to my bed so it might be because of that too.

Anyways, overall I am very happy about it.

Strength of the fan is ok, a comfortable breeze at 1.5 m away. We choose level 1 for less noise and comfort.

Five star if the clamp is bigger and the angle adjustment is pretty limited. Over all a good fan for the price which we bought 2.

Would be a great 5 stars if the clamp is bigge

I ordered two of these fans in error, but they’re so good, I’ve decided to keep them both. They’re very easy to assemble and although not totally silent, the noise level is quiet enough to be able to sleep through.

I have one fan clipped onto a shelf at the side of my bed and even on the lowest setting, it’s enough to keep me cool all night long. Not only me but my husband too who sleeps on the furthest edge of our King sized bed. Yes it’s that powerful and like I said, on the lowest setting too. Turn it to the fullest setting and it’s enough to freeze us enough for the need to pull up the duvet over our shoulders on even the warmest of nights. To say that I’m very happy with my purchase is an understatement. It’s far more powerful and quieter than the large fan we were using in our bedroom before. It takes up less room too.

My daughter spends a lot of time in her bedroom on her computer. The room isn’t particularly big but being a South facing room with large windows it gets extremely hot. So the second fan is being used in there which keeps my daughter happy.

I’m now very glad that I purchased two of these fans rather than one and would highly recommend them.

Oh and as a bonus, they each come with a one year guarantee, but register them online and each are guaranteed for a further two years! Hopefully mine will keep on working so that I’ll never need to rely on that guarantee.

I love how quiet this fan is- it’s obviously a fan so isn’t silent but I can sleep with it next to me which is great. As it’s a fairly small fan, it’s not incredibly powerful but it’s perfect for me. I have it at the end of my bed as I sleep and it feels like a gentle breeze rather than being blown about on a hill top. The only negative is that you can only tilt the fan head up and down, rather than round, so you have to find something at the right angle to clip it to. Apart from that, I love it! Great little purchase.

The fan looked great but I couldn’t use it where I live because the plug was incompatible with the organ that was suppposed to receive it, it is strictly for UK use only unless you happen to have the adapter which costs as much as the fan, so I returned it. However the fan looked great and it’s definitely not too small, good size.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersGreat little fan. Clips just about anywhere, yes you do hear a noise but it’s more like a gentle hum. Much better than others I’ve owned. Lovely gentle breeze, just enough to keep mainly my feet cool, although I do use it to have general air circulation too. I use it during the day in my conservatory and at my feet end at night. Does not seem to bother my partner, who hates breezes on him. So it’s a win, win, win for me. Think I’ll get another so I don’t have to move this one around, although it is very light weight and portable.

There is a small amount of noise but nothing like the large stand fans we use downstairs

I bought this fan for my Mum to use in the kitchen. During the summer months when she’s cooking, the kitchen gets very hot and she’s literally sweating over the cooker. The fan clipped easily onto the work surface next to the cooker and on the high setting it was perfect to keep Mum cool and blow the steam away from her. She also clips the fan onto the headboard of her bed during the summer and angles it downwards to keep her cool enough to get a decent nights sleep. It’s a really great little fan.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersReceived the two fans that I ordered very quickly and assembled them straight away, which was simple, then plugged and go. I noticed straight away that the quality of the fan is much better than larger fans costing tons of money. The grill covering the propellers are metal not plastic, which for a mini fan costing reasonable money, is excellent. It can rotate 360 degrees and I have it clipped on my bed head and used it a few days ago and it performed well. There are two settings, which is a adequate.

Fantastic fan, bought this fan as a replacement for an old clip on which I’ve had for years. This one is very east to assemble and the clip being tough is also easy enough for a child to use safely. The fan has been used continuously for the past few nights with no visible or audible differences to its running sound or speed. As with all fans like these, there may come a time when additional lubrication is needed for the sealed bearings as these can dry out after too much heat and use. This fan looks like it will be easy enough to take apart to do this basic maintenance with just a few drops of machine oil. If in doubt consult an electrician, it may invalidate the warranty but I have found prior prevention after time is better than allowing the machine to slow then squeak etc. This fan so far has been excellent, the on off control knob at the rear of the fan is very well shaped for turning and the 2 speeds easy to choose. All in all a lovely update to a very versatile powerful fan. Very happy customer, thank you!

I like to sleep with the fan on every night as I struggle to sleep otherwise & the apps on my fan were starting to not cut it anymore when staying away.

Now I have this little travel fan, I get a perfect nights sleep wherever I go, it fits nicely inside any luggage I have & is light. It has travelled the country with me and I’ve had no issues thus far. Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought this after constantly feeling hot while sitting at my study desk during the middle of the UK summer.
After 1 month of use, I would say this is a great desk fan for short distance cooling only. It won’t cool your whole room, but I don’t think it was designed to in the first place. Keeps me cool while on the desk and that is what I wanted.
It does get dirty from the inside very quickly. Additionally, there is no easy way to clean it.
I also wish it had automatic spinning as if it just could spread the fan power it would be absolutely perfect.
Finally, adjusting the clip feels badly designed as if it could fall off the desk at any moment.
Overall, decent considering its price and won’t take much space while clipped on the edge of your desk.

Good cooling fan and won't take much space for desk use, but does get dirty often.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersI came across this product on Amazon at the time when most of the fans are sold out in Central London due to the heatwave. I was actually doubting how powerful the fan could be due to the size, however, I decided to purchase it anyway as it was one of the very few options available. I received the fan a few days later and it arrived in a very good condition. The only thing that I had to assemble was basically to put on the clipper and it was ready to use.

I am very happy with the fan. It is bigger than I thought and for such a compact size, the breeze created is quite powerful. The build is quite solid and the angles can be adjusted pretty well.

Some of the improvements that I could think of are as follows:
    – Will be great if the fan could automatically oscillate
    – To also include a fan stand, instead of a clipper as there are times when there is no flat surface to clip the fan

Other than that, I would definitely recommend this fan if you are looking for one which does not take up that much space in your room. In case you’re wondering, nope, this fan is not noisy and it’s perfect for a good night sleep.

Golden Review Award: 30 From Our UsersNoticeably better airflow than my previous 4 year old Benross 6″ model (still blowing pretty well) which also claimed to be 15 watt (although half the price of this Pro Breeze) and the bonus for me is that the clamp AND desk stand base from the Benross fit this perfectly too which is a bonus as the clamp is actually better on the Benross (see below)
As has been mentioned by other reviewers, although the clamp has a VERY STRONG spring action, the 8 grommets/rubber pads in the clamp can & do fall out and need super gluing back in, hence my rating of “just” 4 stars and not 5.
BE AWARE that when you open the box, the nut & bold for fastening the clamp to the body is just loose in the bottom of the box!

Very good but could be improved slightly.

The bracket is substantial and grips hard. Although there’s no evidence it damages any surface, I’d feel more comfortable if the jaws were fitted with rubber pads. There appear to be pad holders in the moulding but no pads supplied. Also, the head tilts forwards and upwards but not side to side. This can restrict slightly the surfaces you can fit it onto – eg I wanted to clip it onto the vertical side of a bedside cabinet but couldn’t because the fan guard clashed with the top, something that would be alleviated if the head could be titled sideways. Instead I had to clip it to the top surface which means it intrudes slightly onto the table. That said, these are minor niggles.

Overall, this is a very well made product for such a small fan. The plastic is substantial not flimsy – nothing flexes, and the main column connecting the clip to the head is very thick, as is the clip bracket. Even the plastic fan guard feels rigid but it’s still in a soft plastic. The fan is quiet in operation even on high speed making it ideal for use in a bedroom whilst sleeping.

Had a previous cheap clip fan, but this one is leagues ahead. First impressions are it is a real quality item for what it is.

Was looking for a fan I would use in my home office that was not to big but gave decent cooling. In the end I knew if it was any good my daughter would ‘borrow’ it and I would never see it again so took a punt and bought two. Very very impressed. Well made, good cable length and the clip is very sturdy unlike some other fans I have had in the past. The multi directional head means for the first time I can put it in many different places in the office to suit. The clip means I can fix it to the window frame and suck in a bit of cool air when needed. The two speeds seem perfect for a strong blast of air or a gentle breeze. Very pleased with my purchase

Golden Review Award: 57 From Our UsersI was looking for a relatively small fan as I’m moving soon and didn’t want to carry a massive fan (I’m a student). I saw this and didn’t even know it was possible to get a fan that clips on like this! I’ve been using it all day and it’s great! It only has 2 settings but they’re pretty good and you can tilt the head of the fan to your preferred angle.
I love that you can clip it anywhere, it’s exactly what I needed!

Only thing is, the little bolt thing that comes with it is so small and hard to see. When I first pulled out the parts of the fan I didn’t see the bolt and threw the packaging in the bin. When I started putting the fan together I noticed I needed a bolt and thought they had missed it out. Of course I had to look through the packaging in the bin to find it (which I thankfully did). Would have been helpful to have the screw/bolt in a seperate tiny bag attached to the fan with some tape or something.

    Cute and compact!

Golden Review Award: 71 From Our UsersFirstly I have to say that the unit arrived incomplete, however, the manner and speed in which the company resolved the minor issue was outstanding.
The fan comes in two parts, being the fan casing and the clip. These are attached with a strong butterfly bolt.
It is all plastic but clearly very strong and durable.
The large clip does require a bit of effort to open and boy does it grip, you have no fear of it falling off. There are also 4 little rubber pads that aid the grip and will protect most surfaces. It has a rotation element that works very well and feels rigid but does turn.
The fan or the white grill casing is actually wider than 6″, again very sturdy considering it is plastic. It is clearly well made.
It has a 2 setting rocker switch, very easy to use. This fan shows its class when you turn it on, it is so quiet but pushes out quite a breeze. Setting 2 is quite stronger but again the quietness is amazing. The is no hum or rattle at all, vibration is basically non-existent. It’s brilliant.
Setting 1 gives a very healthy breeze beyond arms length, you might need paperweights for setting 2. The great thing here is that it will cover a larger area.
Cord length is a comfortable 2m.
Don’t be put off by the price as this is exceptionally well made and really does give a healthy breeze – outstanding.

Got this as I was going into hospital for a short stay and had been advised that a fan was a must! It was perfect: small but powerful, almost silent which meant that it could run at night without disturbing neighbours, and the clip meant that it didn’t take up surface area on the bedside tables. The only thing that could improve it would be eight circular pads on the clip that do the gripping were actually rubber so it was instantly firm in every position.

Perfect for cooling my home office in these warmer days. The clip for attaching it to your desk/TV/door/whatever is sturdy so I never have to worry about it falling off. It’s also very quiet, even on its fastest setting (there are two speed settings). I was tempted to drop a star off my rating because of the overall size of the unit. It’s billed as being 6″ but it’s closer to 7.5″ or 8″ in diameter (the blades themselves are about 5″). But this really isn’t enough of an issue for me to knock a star off; it’s just bigger than I was expecting it to be. Just be aware of its actual size if you’re planning on clipping it somewhere that might not allow for that extra inch and a half. But despite it’s overall size, the ProBreeze (“mini”) clip flan does exactly what it’s supposed to do – and does it quietly, which is a bonus!

This fan is just fine for it’s size, not particularly loud which is good. The packaging and assembly are simple and within minutes I was able to start figuring out where I would clamp it. I’d hoped to be able to clamp it into an upper open window, but the clamp is not well suited to that. I have clamped it to my headboard instead and once I got used to the hum of the motor coming through the pillow it has worked fine. I have found a couple of instances where the position adjustment doesn’t really accommodate what I’m trying to do – it’s really better suited for clamping to the horizontal edge of a table or desk.

It’s a 6inch fan so don’t expect it to blow your pot plants off the shelves! But it does give a gentle breeze to a small area which is what I wanted lead is a good length but then it’s only ever a good length if your plugs anywhere near where the fan is which mine is my only small complaint would be that on the clip it has little rubber feet to grip onto the desk or shelf they are a fairly soft rubber which obviously helps it grip but when you open the clip to move the fan it leaves the feet behind not a huge problem but they could do with being glued would recommend.

Golden Review Award: 47 From Our UsersPro Breeze Professional Mini 6″ Clip Fan

I bought 2 of these to help move air about the rooms.

Though these are lower cost fans, they are quite good, but could do with some product improvements.
I emailed the company after carrying out some tests, giving some constructive feedback to help in future designs, and received a “thank you” e mail back

    Down to detail.

The fan has a 2 position speed selector on the rear, which feels decent quality.
The motor is 15w, and the blades are plastic, as is the front and rear finger guard.
The clamp is sufficiently strong to keep it attached to a desk or table, but the rubber “gripper” inserts have a habbit of coming back out.
Cable length is decent at around 1.5 meters, and is supplied with a 3A UK prewired plug.
Noise levels as expected for a 6″ fan
These fans are adjustable in pitch(up and down) and rotate through 360 degrees. They do not oscillate and are fixed in the position you set.

After receiving them and unboxing, I immediately wanted to change the way the fan “clicked” into predetermined positions when adjusting the pitch angle. I wanted to be in full control of the angle, not locked to certain positions. I found a small(approx. 2 cm long) piece of plastic on the inside of the fan mounting point(handle if you wish to call it that) where the bolt attaches through, and proceeded to cut it off with a sharp knife. Now I can adjust the angle as needed through it’s full range.
I also noted some other reviewers were saying poor flow so I carried out some tests with a digital anemometer(wind gauge) with the finger guard in place and without. Details below.

I found that with the finger guard in place the airflow decreases by a considerable amount due to the solid plastic centre piece.
(anemometer moved through a full circle in front of flow area and “max” flow recorded)

Fan with grill @ 2 inches = approx 1.8m/s flow rate, 12 inches 1.1m/s flow rate.
Fan without grill @ 2 inches = approx 3m/s flow rate, 12 inches 2.4m/s flow rate

You can noticeably feel the difference between the two.

I am in a position that I can safely run the fan without the guard, but I would recommend leaving the guard in place if there are any children, pets or risk of catching the exposed blades. The blades will stop dead, without any damage to my finger etc. !! REMOVE THE GUARD AT YOUR OWN RISK !!

    Update 13/10/2016.
Thought I would do an update for you . Previous comments still apply.
Since the first review I have used them for a while and I quite like them (with the finger guard removed as stated). I have bought another 3 for different rooms and would if needed, buy more. I hope the fact I have now bought 5, is a comment of their good quality in my opinion.

Would I recommend to friends and family… yes
Would I buy again … yes, especially with product improvement suggested ( I bought another 3 since 1st review… See update above)

I have tried many fan’s in my time, all of which are either too big, too noisy, too over-priced and they lack breezability, which is why we buy them in the first darn place!! I saw the ad for this fan and thought……”yeah, heard all the claims before!!”. So I put my money where my mouth was and purchased this compact 4′ (16cms) fan, thinking there is no way this is going to erase my previous air-con disasters, how can it?? It arrived within a couple of days, easy to assemble, very compact, with a huge metal clip at the end. Ingenious!! I put it together, placed the clip and fan on the edge of my desk, still thinking, “that clip is not going to hold” and “the fan is too flimsy”, and I switched it on. It blew me away!!!! For such a little fan, it is so powerful, I can stand at the opposite end of my room, to my desk, and still get a decent breeze. It is light, portable and powerful…and the best thing is……I DON’T NEED TO SHOUT OVER IT!!!, It is so quiet!! That is it, I am buying this for every room in my house….it is quiet enough to use in the bedroom, and doesn’t disturb my sleep, even my birds don’t flap about, with the noise in the conservatory!! Amazing!! Thank you Pro Breeze… For me, this is the best fan I have found, gonna spread the word, to everyone.

I play guitar in a rock band and, most of the year, never mind the hottest months, it is ridiculously hot on stage. So, I bought this fan to clip onto my microphone stand to help keep me cool. It does the job just fine, the clip being made of plastic though may not last too long bearing in mind the hard life it’s going to have with me. The slightly flimsy clip will not be a problem at all for most indoor/desk uses, any damage would likely occur in transit in my case. 5 stars as a desk fan, 4 for the use I purchased it for but, for the money, it is well worth it.

This is a small desk fan, that provides a good breeze and is powered by a normal UK plug rather than the more common usb able. The power cable is about 1.5m which is jut about right to meet the height of most desks. The breeze supplied is sufficient, particually as these are to be mounted close to you. The clip is strong and the fan can be adjusted into most positions.

1 star off as the plastic material is quite brittle, and mine was slightly damaged on arrival, was so hot that i used it anyway though.

Golden Review Award: 21 From Our UsersI broke the clamp on a previous clip on 6″ metal fan just before I went away for a few days and came back to scorching heat. I do have a large standing fan but it causes everything to flap around the whole room. Great when you are just sitting but I decided I’d need a smaller fan too.

What I needed as a small fan that I could use near my lap top preferably quiet running. This Pro Breeze fan fits the bill and the price being charged is reasonable so I bought two meaning one for my laptop area and one for upstairs.

The fan is all plastic and so is very light. The knob at the back of the fan itself has three settings Off, One and Two. Setting two is not fast but is adequate. There is no oscillation but you can lean the fan backwards to get an upward breeze or forwards for a downward breeze depending where you clip the fan.

It is a great one-person fan and the sound is hardly noticeable.

To aim the fan to the left or right of centre is very easy as the plastic upright turns through a 360 degree full circle. You can hear and feel a click with each minute turn. In fact to save stretching around the fan to turn it on and off you can hold the upright gently and turn it so the fan itself moves around then turn the knob and turn the fan back to where it was.
