Frequently Asked Questions

Is the soap pump easy to install?

Answer: The sticky pads make this pump easy to install on smooth even surfaces. We recommend using screws for an extra secure fitting. Full instructions (User Manual) are included with the pump and can also be downloaded under ‘Product guides and documents’ on this page.

Are the sticky pads suitable for use in my bathroom?

Answer:The sticky pads are designed to be durable, however everyone’s bathroom is different and we unfortunately cannot promise that these will be suitable for all types of walls and surfaces. We recommend using screws for the most secure fitting.

What if I experience a problem with my soap pump?

Answer:We design our products to last, but if something goes wrong, we’re here to help. The soap pump includes a 5yr simplehuman promise so please let us know if you experience any issues.

Are replacement parts available?

Answer: Replacement pumps, lids and wall plates are all available to purchase on our website. Please let us know if you have any queries or require further details.

These are a bit expensive (I’ve not tried the cheaper alternatives) but they work very well. Easy to clean, easy to re-fill, easy to use. The self adhesive back plate has been up for 4 years now (I’ve just bought another set for a second shower). My only niggle is that they come with a single razor hook. The suppliers could not supply one for the other end. I recommend that you wipe the bottom of the spout of the conditioner unit with your finger after use to stop the build up of dried conditioner. Get’s rid of so much clutter in a shower enclosure – all those bottle hanging around etc.

We stayed in an Airbnb that had this exact brand of soap dispenser.
My little boy with autism struggles with normal soap pump dispensers, and we always have to help him. On that holiday he managed to use it without any help at all.
The first thing I did when we got home was search the brand name and the next day he had his own dispenser. I have a very happy boy now.
    It is really good quality!
We didn’t want to have to drill through the tiles, and with the sticky back there was no need. It came with a lint free alcohol wipe to make sure the surface was fully grease free too.
I was slightly concerned about the weight of the soap with the adhesive pad, but we let it cure for 24 hours before attaching the bottle part, and it feels really secure. It has held up perfectly so far. I would definitely recommend this!

    Exactly what we wanted!

I bought this product after using one at an AirBnb. Its particular advantage being it makes it much more easy to use body wash in the shower. I have only one criticism is that a few weeks after I started using it it seemed to get jammed and wouldn’t dispense soap but the next day whatever the problem was cleared itself and its been fine since and I’ve been using it now for a few months. Its reasonably easy to install but if you have ceramic tiles in your shower drilling through them to mount the bracket on the wall can be a bit of an effort and you may need a special drill bit to drill through your tiles (as I did).

Amazing dispenser (we’ve tried a few) gives exactly the right amount of a soap and is easy to fill. However, we followed the instructions to the letter for sticking it up with their adhesive strip. Don’t do it! Scared the life out of us when it fell down in the middle of the night. Customer service amazing and sorted us out. It’s now safely screwed into place

This isn’t the cheapest but it’s worth paying extra for. I went through three cheap ones which all broke or leaked after a few weeks. Had this now for months with no problems. Even got a friend one. I would definitely recommend this Simple Human dispenser.

Being disabled I thought these dispensers would be a lot easier for me in the shower. On the whole they do make life a lot easier but the lids on them tend to smash if the drop on the cubicle floor. One was smashed During installation so not off to a a good start. Don’t put them up just with the adhesive pads as they will fall off the wall. On the expensive side but look good

This is a quality item that looks good and functions very well. No drips from the dispenser. Good capacity. The adhesive mounting bracket is simple to apply and completely effective. Screws are supplied but not needed on flat smooth tiles.

Typical Simplehuman quality. Very easy to fit, either way, I followed the instructions for using the tape supplied and waited 24 hours before mounting the dispenser.

We didn’t used the adhesive strips but drilled the tiles instead, to be on the safe side. This is a gorgeous addition to the shower cubicle – I just love it! I bought 5 litre containers of Faith in Nature shampoo, conditioner and Shower gel and now just need to fill up the large simple human containers when necessary, saving so many plastic bottles in the process. Highly recommend this product.

Really solid and well designed soap dispenser. We use it for hand soap so haven’t fitted the optional razor holder.
The instructions are simple to understand, which is usually the case with this brand.

My only suggestion is that you use a screw or two to fit this I’m place. It has the option to use the adhesive alone but in reality you will be pulling he leaver to get the soap and its obvious that this will fail quickly. I’ve fitted mine with a screw and used the adhesive also to help keep it in place.

The only design element that would be nice is if the wall plate you used to fit it was a bit smaller (as you can see in the picture). It’s not bad, just an element I think that could look a bit nicer if it was smaller.

Solid build but don't use adhesive alone to fit i

What an excellent product!! We have bought the single version for the cloakroom and the triple version for our bathroom. Both work very well. We will be buying more as we refurbish each ensuite . They are easy to fill and no bottles on the shower shelf. Our only regret is that we bought a cheaper battery version for the kitchen and it’s nowhere near the standard of simple human.

  23. krista lafave says:

We bought one for above the bathroom sink for hand wash and a triple for the shower cubicle for body wash, shampoo and conditioner.

These are such great dispensers for any bathroom, very stylish and easy to install. I wouldn’t recommend installing them with the sticky pad however as they will almost certainly fall off and smash. I used screws and raw plugs (not supplied) in conjunction with the pads.

Another benefit is the saving you will make on your bathroom products! Our kids used hand wash and shampoo etc for fun but since installing these they have not used half as much because the amount is measured and you use less.

In conclusion these are definitely worth the money and they come with a 5 year guarantee so nothing to worry about if they develop a fault.

    absolutely brillia

When I first spotted this dispenser on Amazon I initially thought it was a bit on the expensive side but looking at the cheaper products, they were clearly cheaper for a reason! My friend had purchased one of the cheaper ones with push in buttons on springs and it certainly won’t last as long as the Simplehuman one with the pull handles. When it arrived I was so impressed with the quality compared to the cheaper one my friend has. There is a significant difference in the quality! It is so easy to fit and the pull handles are easy to use and when filling up the dispenser, you can do this by lifting it off the wall which is so much easier. It is definitely worth spending the extra amount for this quality product.

Best product I have purchased in a long time!!!

Simple Human products are generally very good, we have a few around the house and like them all.

These are great in our en-suite, we have 4 (two sets of two) which provides two shower gels (his/hers) and then shampoo/conditioner. perfect no more little bottles to trip over!

However, in 6 years of using these we’ve been through 5 units as the small lever on the bottom to dispense the soap snaps off!! Simple Human warranty is very good, just email them a picture an new unit sent out no quibbles

easy to install, and good looking once in place, easy one handed operation to use, refilling is easy, just cant fault it. I wasnt brave enough to trust the sticky securing pad by itself so I still used the screw to the wall option, so far its been up for 2 weeks and I’m seeing no leakage from the outlet nozzles that other reviewers have found.

High quality finish. Nice big soap container so I won’t have to fill it up too often. Brushed aluminium looks nice. Can control exactly how much soap you want by how far you pull the lever. The only disappointing thing is how large the mounting plate is. It’s not very discrete at all and in my opinion spoils otherwise a very attractive product.

Bought both the single and double versions, prefer the single for shower use. The double was bought thinking shower gel in one and conditioner in the other, but really not that great an idea. The adhesive pad only option IMHO should not be relied on, I chose to fix to the wall by conventional screw and wall-plug.

The product is good, works well and aesthetically looks the part. The only criticism I have is you cannot see the printed product names on each of the containers as they are too small and white on a clear container and thus if you didn’t know which was shampoo, conditioner and shower gel you would be guessing as to what you were putting on.

  36. Iris says:

Once installed great to use easy to see when refills required. If you have trouble with your hands the tops are a tight fit. Just a little niggle the names on the lids could be more visible.

These dispensers are easy to put up, sturdy and stylish. They hold plenty of shampoo/condition/shower gel therefore make the shower area so much tidier. I’ve now started to but much larger bottles of shampoo etc to re-fill which ultimately saves money.

  43. LiamCurtis says:

Robust and well made – this was easy to fix and holds a lot of product. The only niggle us that I’m using this for hand soap in a cloakroom and the bottle lid says “shampoo”. Easily remedied by turning the label (embossed in the plastic) to the wall where you don’t notice it, but I’d rather have had no label on it.

I absolutely love it. No more shampoo/conditioner/shower gel bottles lying all over the bathroom. Very easy to fit, comes with pads to install without the need to drill through tiles. I’d never heard of simplehuman before buying this item. I have to say it is very well designed, looks fantastic, easy to use, no drips and is very good quality. A bit pricey for what it is and worth every penny.

I ordered these dispensers for a shower unit for an airbnb. They came with the option of either sticking to the tiles or using screws to attach to the tiles. I went with the latter option. The quality of the hard plastic and chrome are good. All three dispensers are easy to refill. The only negative I would have is that the lettering of the words [shampoo, conditioner and shower gel] are very difficult to read – I had to stick extra waterproof labels on each dispenser which I ordered separately. Overall – I’m delighted with this product.

  46. ErikaOverton says:

I just love these! In fact, I love everything that SimpleHuman make; but these dispensers are superb. We were having a new shower enclosure installed, and the dispensers started life using the sticky pads which come with them, before being moved to a final position where they are now held by screws. They are wonderfully easy to use, dispensing exactly the amount *I* want, rather than (as with many dispensers) the amount *they* want; and they are very easy to refill. And, each of the three being separate, when I want to clean them out, I can do them one at a time as they get empty, rather than have to do them in a batch, empty or not. I cannot fault them!

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersIt’s a great product, looks good and very useful. The other comments are correct it does not cause any drips and cuts off the right amount of product.

I have given it a 4 star because unfortunately I only had it for a couple of months. Placed it on a flat surface and hold and behold it fell down smashing into pieces. I recommend to drill through. So I just bought a new one and this time I drilled through the tiles and now I’m not worried about it falling off

  48. Katherine says:

Very nice quality compared to the one I had before. The containers are plastic but very thick clear plastic and the handle part is steel. The piece at the back that attaches to the wall is plastic too but seems well made. After reading some of the other reviews about the unit falling off of not attached by screws, I used silicone glue combined with the sticky tape provide. It seems to be solidly attached and hasn’t wobbled in the past month of use. Took one star off as I had to get the glue separately

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis was bought as a replacement for the twin bottle model. Fortunately, I was just able to get it into the space available. It is a very smart looking dispenser unit. The main advantages are that it delivers the liquids easily and in a good quantity with each pull on the lever. The thumb rest area is also very helpful when applying leverage. Refilling is easily accessible and the clear bottles can allow easy monitoring of the contents.

I purchased this item from Amazon in February and expected a really good product as these are not cheap! However one of these bottles decided not to function properly after only a short while, it wouldl only allow you to pump it once and then you had to wait a long time before it clicked back into place for you to use again. I contacted the seller and they sent me a replacement bottle free of charge, no hassle. I am very impressed.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersA great product and it looks very nice on the wall. I used the glue to stick it to the wall and it has been up for a few weeks and all the canisters are full.

The lids are labelled as shampoo, conditioner, and soap which are hard to see though. It would be better if the writing was in black so it would stand out. We do not use conditioner so we have two different types of soap instead and it would have been nice if you had could change the description of the canisters.

Strong, easy to fill and clean, and lasts a long time.
We have some at work that are used many times a day and have lasted four years.
I put them through the dishwasher on a medium heat and they came out fine.
If you use them, clean them, then store them, the mechanism can get jammed, but a thorough wash works fine.

    PROS:
Lovely design and build, yes there is plastic but it is good plastic.
    – The bottles are “perspex” and the backplate is grey tough plastic.
    – No plastic artificial chrome to peel off.
    – The lower part of the bottles has a stainless steel cover.

They work superbly (as I have come to expect from (Simplehuman) Me being a simple human.

    CONS:
Two methods of fixings are given:
    – Tape and silicon (supplied)
    – Screw on suggested in the instructions for extra stability (SCREWS NOT SUPPLIED)

Now I would only use stainless steel screws in a shower so I went to B and Q. What, 6.50 for a small packet of stainless steel screws? But I only want two!

    So I stuck it on.

Please Simplehuman, read your feedback and supply two screws with this product.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI purchased a set of three of these over a year ago, and the handle had recently broken off the one we use the most – the “soap” one – I estimate it had been used over 2,000 times when it finally gave up. I decided to buy a “single” model as a replacement part, and I’m pleased to say it fits the original perfectly. Even the lids are interchangeable – it blends in seamlessly.

NB: I suspect that the old handle must have had a tendency to break, because the new one has been redesigned and is about 50% thicker. Luckily, it is not noticeable, even when placed next to the other two older ones in the set.

I know this is a luxury product and not essential but love it. Looks great, works brilliantly and finishes off our lovely new shower cubicle perfectly. No drips and easy to clean (you can take the dispensers off the holder to clean/refill). Be careful when mounting though. I decided to use the glue then screw into the wet wall but the glue sets so quickly you don’t have long to adjust straight if you don’t get it right straight away. I was fussy though using a spirit level to make sure it was level. Really pleased with this

Bought this for my father who only has use in one arm.
I’d purchased a cheaper one only to send it back because of refilling issues. I then decided to purchase this one which was slightly more expensive. All I can say is “Money well spent”
Just to add to the description, you can screw this item to a wall is you prefer. You don’t have to rely on the glue.
Refilling is so simple, just lift the top off and poor your soap in. It is that simple.
I like this item so much that I’m considering purchasing more.

My wife suffers from rheumatoid arthritis which means she finds it very difficult to squeeze shampoo/shower gel from their bottles in the morning. I did considered to buy her the type of dispenser where soap delivery is triggered by pressing a botton. At the end I bought the simplehuman dispenser where soap is delivered upon pulling a lever. The pump can handle very viscous conditioner which does not flow freely under gravity. Apart from the price tag, everything is prefect.

here is nothing not to like about the dispenser. ive been waiting for 18months for hubby to drill through bathroom tiles to install soap dispenser above a sink that you cant fit a soap dispenser on. i decided to find one i could install myself (no drilling!) … this was a piece of cake even for me. it feels very pluch and expensive and really finishes the bathroom off.
    Fab produc

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersI was already a great fan of wall mounted soap dispensers, having used them for over ten years.. When the pumps on my previous triple unit disintegrated I looked for something more robust and so chose this stainless steel unit.
I dont trust gluing items to tiles so cannot comment on how easy and firm that would have been. Mounting them by drilling into the tiles was fairly easy.
The grey plastic mounting unit is a bit cheap and nasty looking but not over visible. It is easy to tell when a unit needs refilling and easy to fill and to use in the shower.
I wasted quite a bit of time searching the packaging for the labels for the dispensers until I noticed that each one is “labelled” by the appropriate word (shampoo, conditioner etc) being stamped in the clear plastic. When the containers are filled this is even less noticeable and no use at all in indicating what is in the dispensers whilst you are in the shower and a visitor could easily confuse the shampoo and conditioner. The words need to be in bigger type or a different colour. I solved this by using left over printed labels from a unit installed elsewhere.

This really looks the business in our shower. Been up on the wall in a very wet, well used shower room for almost a year, and considering I only used the silicone glue (supplied) to fit to the tiles has withstood family use well. I was worried the weight and the damp would mean it soon fell off. I was wrong.

Refilling is easy. When wall mounting, make sure there’s enough room above to take the lids off (eg: not too close to the underside of a shelf) If you are fitting in a constricted area, no worried as each pod lifts off quite easily, if required for filling or cleaning.

Oh, and you’ll find your shower gels etc. last longer as the measure is enough to use, and probably less than if you used straight from a bottle!

No more jumping out the shower cus someone has finished the shampoo and forgotten to put the new bottle in there. you can see when they need filling up.

5 stars, well worth the expense! Thinking of getting a single unit for by the sink for liquid soap.

Despite the knocking reviews I was impressed with the look and robust construction of this shower room accessory. It stuck very well with the silicone glue provided and after 24 hours filled it with soap/shower products with great ease. Simply saves all the clutter of a Shower tidy.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our Usershe item itself is very expensive for what it is…. 99% plastic, what you DO pay for is the look and convenience and design of the product which are superb. It comes with great fitting instructions, glue or screw, and a five year warranty.Had mine up a couple of weeks now and its great.
If i could suggest a razor hook on both sides, and better markings on the bottles for whats in them, and the back plate should have a steel finish.Happy scrubbing!!

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersLooks classy because most other ‘chrome’ dispensers look a bit plasticy. Doesn’t drip. I glued it on and it seems fairly sturdy. Only disappointment was that I didn’t expect the back plate to be grey plastic – I thought it would be stainless steel which would have just finished the look of it off much better, and to be honest I would have expected it to be for the price. Also, they could have labelled the “Soap” “Shampoo” and “Conditioner” a bit better as they are just embossed on the plastic. It wouldn’t have taken much for Simplehuman to just make this product that little bit better. Wouldn’t recommend for really small enclosure showers as it is fairly big. Apart from these minor grumles it is a nice product and helps keep the shower clutter-free.
