I recently purchased this COOAU security camera and has performed brilliantly, so much that I purchased another one for a family member.
Fantastic
Put it in my yard. It covers the whole garden. The senor is activated when it picks up movement, sending a notification to my phone. There are so many features on the camera. The best one for me is being able to move the lens 360′ around.

I purchased this Cooau security camera 12th July 2022, and it has performed brilliantly, until recently.. I removed the camera from its fixing, charged the battery and tried to reset it. All to no avail. I contacted Cooau using the report form and explained the problems that I was experiencing. The next day I received their reply listing various checks that I could try, I carried out all the checks, but still the camera did not work. I again contacted Cooau and explained that the camera still was not working, I then received their reply

The new camera arrived two days later and today I installed the camera and it works like a dream.
From my experience, Cooau customer service is second to none, throughout our correspondence I found Cooau to be polite, courteous and sincere. I have already recommended Cooau cameras to family and close friends, saying that they will not be disappointed in the build quality of the camera and the excellent after sales service.

Customer service is excelle
I recently purchased this camera and had lots of problems with the battery depleting. We tried all the different setting to try and improve on the life of the battery but nothing worked. The company were very responsive in trying to recommend different settings but in the end nothing worked so we were sent a replacement camera. Customer service was excellent.
The picture quality is great and although the battery is better in the new camera it’s still draining quicker than we would like so I’m now going to purchase a solar panel charger and hope this helps.
Had this security camera for over a week now and so far quite pleased with the results especially for what I paid.
First thing I had to do was charge up the camera indoors and install the app on your phone. I should point out that I was forced to use the CloudEdge app as the default COOAU app you were directed to in the instructions no longer exists on GooglePlay (if using an Android phone) The CloudEdge app appears to work though and does everything I would expect it to
Using the app you could then measure the wi-fi signal to your camera and you were advised to do this when selecting where you were going to install the camera outdoors. A strong wi-fi signal is required although where I have it installed I’m getting about 70% signal which is fine.
After initial set up on my phone by installing the app, I can connect to the camera live feed from my phone and even rotate the camera from the phone (PTZ) albeit quite slowly. Note this can be done from anywhere your phone has access to internet so doesn’t even have to be at home. As well as live footage you can view any footage recorded when the motion detector has been triggered.
The motion detector can be configured from the app and so far there has been a few cases (out of probably 50 or so) where it hasn’t picked up people in its range. By default, it is set up in the app to detect human sized objects only so I’ve tried switching this off to see if this improves the hit rate. In addition, you can change the sensitivity of the detector so I guess it may just be trial and error to find the sweet spot.
Battery life has been OK. I’ve lost about 15% in a week although I was probably looking at the footage more in the last week than I would do normally (footage is watched on the app using micro SD card in the camera). I would say 4 to 6 weeks it to be expected rather than the 4 to 6 months stated although the figure they’ve stated may be based on over 90% wifi signal at all times. The 4-6 weeks recharge is fine for me though and you can always buy the solar panel for it if you don’t want to have to recharge it ever
I currently have the footage being recorded to the micro SD card only although there is the (paid for) option to have it uploaded to the cloud if you want extra security from having additional copies and in case the camera itself gets stolen. I have put the camera out of most people’s reach, as advised.
At night the pictures are in black and white but the image is still good. Once motion is detected the in-built light will switch on and the image changes to colour. There is an option to have the light on all the time at night although I suspect this would drain the battery much quicke

I have 5 of these cameras all round the house yard and garden and they are great .I had a problem with one of the solar panels not working but the company sent me a replacement panel immediately .great customer service .highly recommended

Support saved the day
The first camera refused to reconnect to the wi-fi, and at first no response from support, who had been on holiday. However when they made contact the problem was quickly rectified by a replacement camera, which is functioning well.

For some reason my camera, does not seem to record outside of these hours ? I would’ve assumed it decided 24/7 but I just adjusted when it “alerted me” please could you advise ?

Excellent Quality
I had ordered and installed this PTZ camera on my great experience of having purchased one the last year as well. This is for my front garage and main door view monitoring. Indeed, both the camera set up and functioning are super easy. Added to this are the superb innovative and high quality features such as clear night vision, motion sensor, double-alarm, memory on cloud, two way audio exchange and multi-user sharing help control, operate and monitor the camera for greater security alert round the clock. The battery is also powerful and last very long with just one charge. On the top of everything else, it is wireless which saves enormous time and is easy to set up on the wall under just 15 mins. The pan and tilt function is seamless. Overall, I am glad that I can now monitor my garage door, use the tilt and motion function to check the front door and my garden passage door ! Great unit !

Good features and software
This is the fourth COOAU camera I’ve bought. The main reason is that the others have all worked exactly as I wanted; and I’ve had no issues with them, so there was no reason to look elsewhere. A key advantage of brand loyalty is that they can then all run on the same COOAU camera app. This camera has high-end features and looks super-smart — a great deterrent to any would-be burglar.
The camera arrived quickly and was packaged very neatly. Setup instructions are clear and fixings are included in the box. We decided the best location to site the camera, so then it was down to configuration.
I have installed a number of smart devices on my WiFi recently, most of which used 2.4 ghz rather than the 5 ghz standard. All the others required me to disable the 5 ghz on my router for installation, although I could re-enable it once things were working. The COOAU camera worked first time without this fiddling; and as I had already installed the COOAU software, the installation was completed literally in a couple of minutes.
There are a lot of software settings to play with, simply by selecting the camera in the COOAU software, then setting the options as required. We are wall-mounting ours, so we tested the camera (hand-held) and software options before final installation. We were very impressed by the daylight picture quality and the range of the pan / tilt / zoom. We tested the night vision, too, which was great. I’ve included a video of this to demonstrate. (We downgraded the picture quality to reduce the file size).
All in all we’re very happy with our purchase.
BEST SECURITY CAMERA IN THE MARKET
I purchased this product as an upgrade but to also add to my COOAU home security cameras. It arrived the next day and set up was so easy with fantastic instructions and an app which has you connected in 3 easy steps!
The quality of this camera is great, it is very durable with the wall or roof mount, it is a sleeker and looks amazing.
This camera has many fantastic features including 2k resolution, night vision, lights, microphone and also a new siren alarm which can be played remotely from the app when needed.
I have been using this camera to monitor the front of my home as there has been reported damage to vehicles in our area and this provides the extra deterrence as well as safety when it comes to protecting your items.
Easy to set up and use
I really like this camera. I have bought other battery operated cameras from the same brand because the cameras are reliable and are well made and the battery life is second to none. This camera like the other Cooau cameras is so easy to set up. It is a breeze and pretty self explanatory once the cloud edge app is installed it is one of the easiest to set up I would say and very intuitive.
The quality of the materials the camera is made out of are solid and the product itself is well made. Also the image quality is very clear and the sound is pretty good too. There is this very useful LED spot light that comes on in the dark when motion is detected. The light is bright and directional according to where motion is detected. The battery lasts a very long time.
The camera can be left without worrying about having to charge it up all that often. The design itself is elegant and simple. The SD slot is placed in a good position and it is very easy to slip an sd card in and out and there is a covering to protect the card itself. The fixtures as good and make it flexible to fix the camera up anywhere. The camera can move in different directions which is another excellent feature.
Also I have found the support from Cooau is very good. They reply quickly and make every effort to sort everything out so one is in good hands and I have no hesitation in recommending this camera.
