Quick and easy set up
Only just fitted and not yet used at night but impressed so far, very easy set up and clear screen. Bought a second already for another vehicle after first impressions.
Great customer service
The camera is easy to install and functions well. Mine developed a fault after a few months, however, Vicky from the customer support team was very friendly and helped resolve the issue with no delay by sending me a replacement camera. It all seems to be working fine now.
Easy to fit and works as expected
Followed the printed instructions that are in the box and found it very easy to fit. I have been using it for 6 months without problem. Someone stole my campervan number plates taking the reversing camera with it (they didnt break in and steal the video display). I contacted Auto-vox who were very understanding and gave me a 30% discount on a replacement camera unit……immediatly. Great service levels, some large manufacturers could learn a lesson here.
camera is bigger than you think otherwise good
Easy to set up . On smaller car say a fiesta camera and solar panel protude a bit but I’m getting use to it. Though I would say sticks out which make it a target for vandalism. Ideal for van 4×4 etc
A Really good, simple to install reversing camera
I wanted a reliable, simple to install, reversing camera and the Auto Vox Solar kit was the perfect solution.
The key for me was the Solar Camera so no need for wires! Easy to fit and it worked. I had one glitch after 3 months use when the camera needed to be “Paired” again but the HelpDesk quickly resolved the problem.
The camera image is clear, does not seem to collect road dirt on the lens and shows clearly when you are getting close to an object as you reverse.

Easy to install
This camera requires no wiring and fits neatly behind the number plate. I have fitted it to our twin axle caravan, it gives me a perfect view on demand when reversing and also can be used to check rear blind spot while driving making overtaking safer.

The rear camera and solar battery unit stopped working sometime after the warrenty had expired. What to do? Contacted Auto-vox and Vicky immediately responded that whilst they could not offer a in warrenty replacement they could provide me with a replacement as an existing customer at a discount. Ordered the unit via Amazon. It arrived within a matter of days. I replaced on the car after charging and it worked. The next day the discount notice from Amazon arrived. Great service and support.

Great customer support. I had a few questions and the response was so fast . I wanted to remove the camera to ease fitting and the method is just to remove the very small Anti Theft screw and slide camera to the right. I would sujest suggest using a little grease on the screw before replacing.

I purchased this camera in June and it was simple to set up and use. Despite having issues with the camera 6 months later, I was supplied with a new camera immediately. Customer service was excellent.
Good unit for totally wireless - excellent customer service
This unit allows you to have a totally wireless camera as it has an internal battery and recharges from solar power. The screen plugs into the vehicle cigar lighter 12v socket and is activated by pressing a button on the plug. The picture is clear with only a very slight delay. Night vision is not as good as daytime but is usable.
My first unit developed a fault after a few months and refused to turn on but Vicky at customer service was very quick to organise a replacement and I’m back up and running again!
Great reversing camera
With a lease car I was unable to have a reversing camera fitted to my new electric car due to damage of drilling holes etc. This is a great alternative the only problem I had was suctioning the base to my dashboard, I did however sort it out with help from customer service who was very responsive. Great little screen, but you do have to switch it in when you want to use it as it doesn’t stay on for long.
Brilliant simple Wireless Backup Solar Camera
Superb piece of kit. I needed a wireless rechargeable (solar) camera when manouvering/reversing my caravan. Car is 4.5M long and the caravan is 7.5M so a lot of wireless cameras don’t cover this range.
This wireless camera is just brilliant, so easy to install. I sandwiched the mounting bracket between an old number plate and the current number plate to raise the camera up 20mm so the current letters were clearly visible (the bottom of the camera unit would partially cover the letters if not.) A tiny grub screw holds the camera to the bracket, very fiddly, so now I just remove the whole number plate set when the caravan is in storage. (If I want to bring it in to re- charge it if the solar panel needs a boost I simply unscrew the 2 number plate fixing screws.). The screen is mounted in the car to a position of your choice and plugged into the 12V socket, it is very clear. You can set a delay upto 90 seconds for the live screen back up view, then it goes off. Simply press the button on the power unit to bring the camera back to life. There is also a standard usb charging port here too. Haven’t tested it in the dark but other reviews say it’s brilliant.
Solar powered wireless reversing camera
Unfortunately my first unit was faulty but Vicky was on hand to assist me. After sending back the camera I received my replacement within two days. Excellent customer support! I highly recommend this service and will definitely be a returning customer in the future.

Quick easy solutio
Easy to fit and working fine so far (just a few days). One word of warning. I fitted it above my number plate but neglected to check if I could still access the boot catch. Unfortunately I couldn’t so had to remove and refit below plate. Contacted support to see if they could supply a replacement double sided tape but apparently delivery from China is 7/8 weeks. So instead they made a refund which more than covered the cost of of an appropriate replacement on ebay. Great customer service. Highly recommended
Great Camera and Easy to Install
Ordered on 10th November, 2023 and Arrived the following day. Easy to install, as even I could do it!! Picture quality is fantastic as is the Reception. The Number Plate on my car is at a slight tilt and as the Camera has had to be fitted at the bottom, I will have to “tweek” the bracket a little to ensure the Camera is pointing further down towards the ground. But that’s the fault build of the car, not the Camera Unit.
I’ve been wanting a reversing aid for my car for ages but didn’t really want to start drilling holes and running cables etc. I saw this and took a chance, so glad I did. The camera is mounted behind the rear number plate, as in the photo. My plate was screwed on, so easy to remove. I stuck it onto the back of the plate with the supplied pad. Screwed back on, the camera sits just under the bumper so can’t be pulled up by any casual thief. The screen is mounted on the dash and powered by the accessory socket. When the screen comes on it turns the camera on automatically, you can adjust the time it’s on for in the setting on screen. The picture quality is nice and clear with added reversing lines if you want, and good night vision. The camera is adjustable up and down for the best view. The image can also be adjusted on screen, it can be flipped and revered (I found the default mirror image the best for me). The screen and camera come on automatically when the car starts, staying on for the time you chose. As there is no connection to the reversing light, you have to switch it on manually by the button on the power plug. This may be a drawback for some, but I found it no problem to press the button before putting the gear-stick in reverse. In fact it’s useful that you can view the camera anytime you’re driving. There is also a USB socket on the plug and what looks like an AV socket (not sure what this does?). Since the initial charge, it’s been used for about 3 weeks and still showing full battery. I would have to pay somebody to fit a wired system so, because of ease of fitting, this camera was good value for me. Also it can be removed easier (maybe at the cost of a new number plate) if you change car. Hope this helps someone decide.
Couldn't have been easier to install on a Porsche 911
Although my 2006 911 was crying out for a reversing camera (and for some reason Porsche haven’t produced one – not even as an option with the new PCCM Plus upgrade), I was hesitant at first as I didn’t want to take away from the originality of my car or start running new cables through it. But the Auto-Vox TW1 camera is unobtrusive and also a doddle to fit (and remove if necessary), and I couldn’t resist trying it out. It really couldn’t be better, with hardly any lag on startup and a clear image in the screen on the dash. Very highly recommended.

Went for this product because wanted a wireless reverse camera for my car and it ticks all the boxes. Easy 5 mins installation and quality is decent too. You can charge it with a wire or it has solar charging too. Been using it for a week and so far so good. So if you don’t want to spend hours installing and money then go for this product.
Also friendly and professional service from their customer service representative Kaya who kindly extended my warranty to 18 months and assured me for support if needed.
Impressive after sale customer service
The reversing camera is very good it has a reversing grid and very clear picture. I had an issue with camera after a couple of months. But I contacted direct as the return date through amazon was only a month.
I have to say the after sale service was absolutely brilliant. I contacted in the
evening and by the next day they had replied and resolved my issue by replacing the camera and replaced it very quickly. Even quicker than they told me. Best customer service I have come across for a long time. Special thanks to Vicky.
Does what it's supposed to
Love that the camera needs no wiring and that it has its own solar panel to self charge it’s battery. It’ll be interesting how it fairs over the winter months?. So far, so good.

I love this product, as I’ve a new car I didn’t want to mess around with the wiring that goes with most cameras, but this cameras all you do is stick on to rear plate, plug in monitor, away you go, get picture, love guide lines also, good picture in the dark works well .
Mindful of Weather on the Produc
Thought it was too good to be true at first – as it was very easy to install and worked well for approximately 2 months. However, issue of the solar panel/charging popped up.
Gotten in touch with Customer Service (Vicky), whom was very helpful and prompt. Suggested a few possible causes/work around. Then learned that this product was intended to work better in warmer environments – winter in UK was probably not ideal.
After a few months of monitoring, especially when the weather improved during Spring/Summer – problems persisted and Vicky was very responsive to help & found a solution/replacement solar panel.
It’s working okay for now, but the weather is changing (with not much sun) – will monitor how this might last.
The Customer Service definitely helped elevating the experience. Thanks Vicky!

Installed in a small motorhome. Easy to do. It’s early days but seems to do what I expected. Installation onto the number plate is tricky as it’s designed for US plates but I found another way. Very easy to use, and great picture
This product was easy to fit, once charged the camera battery lasted for weeks without further charge. The picture quality is very good slight degradation in poor light but only to be expected.
This is the first time I have used a camera to reverse my trailer but once I had practiced a couple to runs it made a massive difference to my reverse accuracy and confidence.

Great camera and great customer service
It’s a great little camera, I got the dollar panel attachment too. The night vision side of it is good too. I did have a faulty unit that failed after a few months but got sent a new one promptly by their customer service.
Easy to Install
Very easy to install. Once charged the camera linked to the monitor straight away.
Took me a while to realise the monitor fits on the dashboard, you can’t get the right angle to windscreen mount. Longest job was removing the rear registration plate and cleaning everything prior to fitting the camera mount. Very pleased with it.
Being able to tilt the camera means I can angle it down to see the towball when hitching up the trailer. Very useful.
Brilliant piece of kit!
Bought & fit to the rear number plate of our caravan. Product works very well and picture quality is really really good. Solar power keeps it topped up, but can be charged in situ if needed (30 mins charge after an 800 mile journey when it was used regularly). The only way this product could be improved is for the display time to be increased. Max time is 2 minutes before you need to press the manual switch to turn it back on again.
Auto Vox Reverse camera
Purchased product to fit on my Skoda Octavia. The fitting process was very easy, perhaps the longest part being the removal of the sticky pads from my number plate. The monitor had to be connected to the 12v car cigarette lighter socket. Unlike most cars mine has an USB (C) socket so I had a slight technical hitch there. I contacted customer support and following advice purchased a USB(C) male to 12v cigarette lighter socket converter cable from Amazon for 10.25. Auto Vox offered to reimburse my costs. The camera works fine and I am very pleased with it. Customer Services were exceptionally helpful throughout. I would highly recommend this product.

This nice little camera changed my driving experience. I always hated reverse parking but this camera shows me where I’m going! Such a wonderful gadget! The installation is really easy, and the image is clear too. I don’t feel any time lag at all.
The package included an instruction to extend the warranty to 18 months, so I emailed the customer support as instructed. The customer support was excellent too. I told them that I love this new gadget and mounting on the surface of my car has been a challenge (no flat surface) but I still really love the product and the customer support was very very helpful!!!! I’m not accustomed to such genuine and friendly customer support anymore after experiencing automated chat services that would just bombard me with links to follow but none of which will actually solve my problem then eventually tell me to call a certain number after wasting so much time on the chat bot then 45 mintue wait on the phone to speak to a human representative.

Easy installation, great image.
The unit feels substantial. It works well. When deciding where to mount it I initially missed where the solar panel was, but you can just see it on the rear face. After 1 preliminary charge it has worked well for the last 2500 miles. I can only assume the solar Charing is working well.
I wondered why a spare tiny bolt was supplied, but the security bolt is so tiny if you dropped it on grass or gravel you’d have little chance of finding it again so a spare is great.
It paired very quickly, no interference.
The image is much better than the one built into the motorhome so I am delighted.
The small security bolt is functional to a certain extent but could easily be overcome, but as the camera would be little use without the screen, I doubt anyone would nick it.
The button on the 12v plug to trigger the camera is a bit temperamental, so not perfect, but pulling and reinserting the plug switched it on again.
Overall I’m very pleased with it but will request a new lead +/- screen.
Speedy responce
I bought this camera in June, influenced by the fact that it was wireless.
The camera worked straight away giving a very clear display behind the car on the monitor. Unfortunately the camera stopped sending a signal to the monitor after ten weeks.
After contacting Customer Support and explaining the problem, within a few days Vicky had organised and sent a replacement camera.. This is now fitted and the system working perfectly again.
I have been impressed by both the product and the rapid after sales service by the Company, and Vicky in particular.

Easy to fit and good quality
I bought this item as I have had similar wired products in my camper but hate routing loads of wires everywhere and trying to hide them. This worked straight out of the box for me. Took monitor out,plugged it in the position I wanted it using cig lighter adapter, switched on camera (which seemed charged up already) and instantly saw picture. Mounted camera/battery unit via double sided tape onto rear of vehicle. Job done. Works very well. Configured menu how I wanted it to work and that’s it. There is a switch on the plug in body that you push and screen turns on to show rear of van. Better than wiring to reverse lights and running multiple wires. The power use seems minimal and with the solar charging on the camera you are guaranteed around 75 days or more use without charging it up at all. We will see. Product seems heavy and well made and a proper bit of kit,rather than a cheap and nasty gimmic. All in all not the cheapest option by any means,but also not overpriced in my opinion,but for quality and simplicity of install,this is a great product. So far I’m happy with it.
I like a few others have had problems after a few months with the monitor not receiving signal from the camera. After contacting customer service Vicky sorted out a replacement for me without any hassle at all. You really can be assured that if you have any problems the support you receive will be first class. I had been looking at various rear cameras to fit on my caravan as the previous one had poor picture quality and a small screen in the car. What attracted me to AutoVox was the ease of installation, in that the camera-to-screen is wireless. I chose to attach the camera with double-sided tape. Fitting behind the number plate was not an option. Locating the screen in the car was easy and the screen is a good size and very sharp. My only grouse is that the screen shuts off after a maximum of two minutes. I would have preferred it to have been permanently on so that it could be used as a rearview mirror. I know there is a version that does this, but could not justify the expense. If it did, it would have got five stars.
Decent and easy to fit, Customer service (from manufacturer / supplier) excelle
Easily installed, and worked well for 11 months (actually it might not have, as it wasn’t used over the winter) However when coming to use it again, it wouldn’t work. Tried resetting, repairing etc, no avail. Battery wouldn’t seem to hold / take a charge. After contacting amazon technical (only option initially) they put me on to the manufacturer / supplier, who were fairly quick off the mark to correctly identify a dead camera / battery unit. A replacement camera was sent and arrived quickly. After fully charging it, I paired it up with the display, which was easy and immediate, then fitted to the caravan, and now all functional again!
Excellent parking camera
This camera can completely solve my problem. Installing wire parking camera is not a feasible option for my car. Wireless option is perfect for me. The quality of the camera is very good. The battery can last for long time after fully charge in winter time. In summer time, the battery is basically always full.
The customer service is excellent. They are always helpful since I purchased the camera. They ensured my first setup of camera was successful. Recently, my camera was not working after the car service. I emailed to customer service and they have quick reply. They provided a detailed troubleshooting steps for me to identify the problem cause. Finally they sent the new camera and battery to me in few days. So efficient! I can now enjoy the camera again.
Very easy to fit. Suitable for fitting above or below the nuber plate.
Very speedy delivery. It is simple to fit. no wires to route anywhere awkward. The only wire to route is from the car power outlet socket to the screen. No wire from the camera to the inside of the car. Easy to align. Camera unit can be fitted above or below the number plate. Useful if your vehicle has a tailgate or boot lid with the number plate fixed to it….. see the pic of my tailgate. If it was fitted above in this configuration, it would have obstructed the tailgate release. Monitor picture is very clear. As it is not connected to the reversing lights, the camera can be switched on at ay time, as required. I thoroughly recommend this product. I took advantage of the offer to extend the warranty. This was fulfilled very speedily, and courteously, by a lady called Vicky. Thanks to all for excellent service.
I bought this kit when my Mercedes Parktronic system failed and the cost of fixing it looked prohibitive. It arrived two days earlier than expected and was well packaged. The component parts had a solid feel to them and once fitted I was very pleased with the system. I tested the system by reversing towards my recycling bins which allowed me to determine at what distance I went into the red zone on the monitor. Before fitting the camera to the rear number plate I watched a YouTube video which said it was a five minute job. In 99% of cases I think this is a reasonably accurate statement but in my case two of my four number plate screws had seized and I had to drill them out and re-tap two new holes. Also, I agree with a previous review, which highlighted a minor problem of accessing the boot release catch. This is unlikely to be a problem on most cars. Just one other piece of advice: I could not get the monitor to stick to the facia as my facia is not totally smooth. I found a perfectly good position at the bottom right hand corner of my windscreen. If I really had to fix it on the facia some double sided sticky tape would have done the job. Please don’t take my last comments as criticisms, just advice. I am very happy with the system and have already recommended to a colleague.
Easy installation, high quality package
It took me around 5 minutes to set this up, excluding the time it took me to route a new power wire from my 12v hub to the screen inside my van. Other than that, it was really easy and I was immediately impressed with the picture quality given the price and the fact it is wireless. It isn’t HD but its bright with good contrast and the 4 stars for night vision is only because I’ve only been able to test it at dusk where there was still a small level of light outside – however the picture was still bright with excellent contrast.
You can email for an 18 month warranty and the customer comms from Vicky was excellent.
There’s only one fault with this product and it is the sticky protection cover on the screen that goes in the vehicle, I found it really difficult to get off, for fear of scratching the nice screen with my nails.
Everything great apart from the solar panel slightly obscure a part of my Irish number plates where the name of the issuing county is in Irish at the top centre of the number plate, the registration number is not obscured so that’s not a problem.
Also my Skoda car boot lid opening is over the middle of the number plate so I can’t easily get my fingers in to open the boot. Luckily I can use my key fob to open it so not a problem.
In future I will move the camera lower on the number plate where I can then access the boot opening. I was keeping the camera as high up on the number plate so as not to obscure the County of origin name. It was totally my own fault, I’ll be wiser the next time
I mention that because I hadn’t foreseen these problems until I had the camera stuck onto the number plate.
Taking everything into account I’m very happy with my purchase, can’t comment on the longevity of the product as I’ve only been using it for a short while. I had photos I had taken myself of the issues in my initial review but the review was rejected so this time I haven’t included photos.

In an ideal world this would definitely be a 5 minute fit but unfortunately in my case it wasn’t
I had some number plates fitted a few weeks ago and the rear plate was stuck to my tailgate, the sticky pads were so good I could not remove the plate, so I found that there was a small section of plate at the bottom that gave me room to lever the plate up, therefore I had to modify the camera fixing plate and then fix it to the bottom of the number plate from behind it (I was going to fit it there anyway as there would not be enough space to reach the tailgate release handle if fitted at the top of the number plate)
All in all although a bit of a fuss to it looks good and works well.
I must also thank Vicky at Boscam customer service for her attention to my emails before purchasing and for the follow ups.
So easy to set up and good seller comms
Dead easy to set up, takes 2 minutes tops. Monitor only supports one camera input but perfect if you just require a single general reversing camera. I installed this on my motorhome (6.4m long, range no problem) – used the sticky pads tucked securely behind the rear number plate. I installed upside down, and flipped the image with one click of the menu on the monitor. Easily adjustable camera angle to get the view you want. Product is well packaged and seems of a very good quality. Charge the camera via usb before first use (takes a couple of hours) – then install and all being well the inbuilt solar panel should keep it topped up! So far it has not dropped any charge (but it is summer). Monitor just connects to your 12v lighter socket on the dash and has a throughput USB socket so you can still charge your phone etc. Monitor and camera view turns on for a set time (adjustable) when you start the engine and then on-demand with a quick press of the button on the charger. It DOES NOT connect to the reversing lights so you have to manually turn it on. No problem for me but bear this in mind. Overall very happy and would recommend as an easy, no wiring, no drilling 5 minute install fix for any vehicle
I purchased this item just because the actual camera is wireless . I wanted a camera i could put in different locations . I have a reverse camera on the back of my vehicle but when i put an additional bike rack on the back it covers my vehicles camera.
This camera is really quick to gut up and running. An instruction book for easy set up. Pairing the camera to the screen was east as. I set up the camera time to 120 secs which is long enough . I first charged the camera battery over night before first use . On my first trip out i used the camera about 40 times or more and the battery indicator on the screen stayed on full the whole time.
I had no issues with flicking screen . Picture was nice and clear. You can have reverse lines showing on the screen , or not.
When i took of the bike rack off my vehicle and put it into my conservatory ( about 18 meters from my screen ) i started up my van to reverse a little back to fit onto my drive and believe it or not the camera turned on , unreal. No connection issues.
Customer care services are easy to get hold of via email.
I contacted them to set up my extended warranty .
They responded really quick and they were really helpful .
I read a review about the camera turning on each time the vehicle was started. This is correct but i didnt see that as an issue and its only on for the time you have set for it to stay on.
It would of been great if this had a remote control or you could have a remote switch instead of turning on by the power supply for the camera?
As like i mentioned i want to use it in different applications.
10/10 for everything so far. First camping trip no issues.
Oh and not forgetting , delivery was really quick too.

I love this camera, so easy to install, works a treat and haven’t had to charge because of the solar charging. I recommend this as a good buy
Great piece of kit.
It took a bit of setting up but wth the help from there customer services department and Vicky’s help the whole system was installed set up including an extra camera also the solar panels so no charging on cameras picture quality is excellent a great investment.
Easy installatio
The installation was very easy just stick the camera to the back of the rear number plate and plug in the receiver/display into the 12v socket. There is plenty of cable from the socket to the unit (in my case there was to much! so I had to hide the excess)

Worth considering
Good clear view and easy fit. Be careful on sloped hatchbacks as even turning camera to its lowest may not give view of bumper without alterations to fixing bracket. Looks a bit odd on numberplate but worth considering.

Buying experience through Amazon and excellent support from Vicky both before purchase and afterwards were supportive of my decision to buy this camera. One reason to buy this particular version was that it is fully wireless between the camera and the screen thus avoiding drilling any holes in the car body work. Screen image is very clear in daylight, not tested at night as yet.
Improved model
The AUTO-VOX Upgraded Solar Reversing Camera Wireless Kit is well worth considering if you need a quick install without pulling the car apart running wires.
The latest version they supply is an all in one not like the earlier model with the separate camera arrangement.
BOSCam the distributor are really helpful, any problems are quickly resolved – couldn’t ask for better service.

We had this camera fitted to our caravan and consequently moved it onto our motorhome to compliment the one already fitted. It has worked perfectly until the other day when it failed to initialise. After a quick and efficient call to the support line it was up and running again, great service.

Bought this with not very high expectations, but have to say I was really impressed – never lost connection once and have not had the need to charge the camera separate to the solar option

Great Reversing Camera
So I’ve had this camera for about a year now. Very simple to install. I wanted to piggy back the connection in the fuse box, and the support team gave me quick and efficient guidance. No issues with the signal from the camera at the back of the van to the display. I did invest in the solar charger for this to make life easier, and again that was a simple install (just be wary there is two versions). I’ve liked this so much, I’m going to get another camera to mount on the front so I can see when I’m getting close to the wall in front of my drive. As an aside I did have an issue with the solar panel snapping off it’s clip, and the support were efficient again, and are sending me a replacement. Definitely worth the purchase.
Simple to set up
I bought this as I wanted something simple to set up and change between cars easily. I had the camera for 7 months and it worked perfectly with no issues but it suddenly stopped working. I contacted customer care who were excellent. They helped me troubleshoot the issue but unfortunately the camera was not working. They offered to sent me out a new camera which I received after a few days. The new camera is working perfect.
Simple to install and works well
I’ve had this backup camera system over a year without an issue bu it It did finally stop working. It appeared to charge but wouldn’t turn on.
I contacted the Auto-Vox team and they sorted me out with a new solar bar/camera and all is good again. Thanks for the help Vicky!
