Where to start – really well made and obviously designed by someone who actually uses the quest 2 – way more comfortable than the KIWI product – that would be enough..but then the battery system is just a joy – I bought the desk charger and second battery and its just such an elegant solution – the magnetic snap on battery is just brilliant and means you can play for hours (with a full quest battery and two full charged BOBOVR snap on batteries you are talking 8 hours at least or longer if you run the quest and one battery out, snap in the second and start charging the depleted BOBOVR battery. Highly recommended for any serious players.

Turns a great VR headset into an awesome one

One of the best headset strap available. Easy of use super comfortable especially since my head is way bigger than my wife’s so adjusting the size after use is easy.

The battery pack works like a charm and the weight distribution is amazing u don’t feel the strain at all.

One downside is there is no charging pass through but that not an issue as I only use the battery pack when travelling or when the battery is low.

I purchased the BOBOVR headstrap about 6 months ago, and it’s been brilliant. It holds the headset inplace, the headset angle can be adjusted, and it balances the headset perfectly. And of course, it adds extra play time to the Occulus.

I have run into an issue recently however. The battery is no longer charging the headset. The headset thinks it is charging, but when it is empty of battery, the BOBOVR battery is still basically full. I have tested the battery and cable by pluging my phone into it, and it charges perfectly. The occulus also charges perfectly from the power point, but for some reason it cannot draw power from the strap battery.

I don’t really know what to do, it may be a software issue, as I noticed this occurring after the update to Meta. Who knows. But whilst it worked, it was excellent.

This is a great halo headset with battery for the Quest 2. It’s easy to attach but I found that you need to make sure the forehead strap gap is around the 1-1.5 cm as is states (dependent on your head size) or it won’t sit on your head properly. This can make the image blurry, as the lenses aren’t lined up correctly with your eyes. I saw someone complaining about this in a review below and they gave 1 star, when really all they had to do was adjust the forehead strap distance correctly. Other than that it fits securely and doesn’t press on your face/forehead like a normal strap, as being a halo the weight is above rather than pressure from the front and rear and is also balanced well with the battery.

The battery is decent enough, attaching easily via a strong magnet. I found life is variable and as I mainly play PCVR via Quest 2, probably uses slightly more power, so I get around 2 hours or so, switching over to the native battery once expired, giving me around 3.5 hours all told. It could do with a warning to alert of low charge, as you won’t know when it’s flat without visibly checking. That brings me to charging. Once the battery is completely dead it takes a long time to charge, almost 4 hours on occasion which is far longer than it lasts and I’m using the official Oculus/Meta charging brick to charge it. If it’s not fully depleted it’s only around 2 or 3 hours, but still, it takes ages to charge, so be prepared to wait. You can also passivley charge the headset at the same time, by plugging the battery in to charge separately first and then attaching it to the headset after.

Build quality seems good, but as it’s quite large, you will no doubt need the C2 case for it. Overall it’s a good buy, but not cheap if you get it with the case, which you will inevitably need. I managed to get both in a “flash sale” which made much better value.

Great halo headset + battery combo with some minor caveats

This is what the quest 2 should of come like. Really comfy, extra battery completly changes the experience being able to game for longer.

Gives the headset some weight with the battery, yes, but it balances well and you dont really notice it.

Best addition to the quest 2.

I got this to replace my original Quest 2 strap which was sagging and was hurting my head.
Having long hair, my initial feeling isthat this strap would just slip off my head. Also, whilst tightening the strap via the dial at the back, I would feel it movong up my head and slipping on my hair.
I have now used it for several hours with no accidents, but I still think that vigorously moving your head might make it fall off.

The battery is a welcome addition and it helps with balancing the assembly.
Overall, the increased comfort is immediately noticeable and welcomed.
For the price, I think this is a very good addition to a VR setup.

    A big improveme

After looking into reviews of quite a few headstraps for the quest two, this one was the most reccomended. It is extremely comfortable, easy to setup and very stable when worn. The extra battery is easy to use and charge. It doesn’t weigh down the headset when in use.

  11. JuliennV66 says:

This battery pack is great. As it has a little weight to it, the weight of the console is distributed more evenly so it is lots comfier to wear.

The entire head strap is now so much more comfortable and it really does extend the battery by a lot. My husband plays with several friends and they all drop out to charge their console normally a couple of hours before he does.

    We have recommended to everyone!

perfect strap for taking the pressure off of your face and the battery makes a nice counter weight as well as extending the battery life a lot.

If you get a really hot face from using VR you can combine this with a IR illuminator then darken the room and remove the faceplate. The headset will stay away from your face ideal for airflow. it might not be ideal for fast movement games though.

other than that its a very good headstrap but you will need a bigger case like the bobo c1

Bought this after getting the Occulus 2 and the strap, well not very good. So after seeing reviews of this i bought it. It is easy to fit and the battery once charged gives upto 3 hours extra vr gaming time. It is very comfortable and easy adjusted. i can’t fault this product as i have found it a great addition to my Oculus 2 quest.

Easily the best replacement for the elastic strap that comes with the quest and is so much more forgiving on the face as well. My only gripe is that the padding that comes with it isn’t exactly that thick so let’s a tiny bit of light in on the sides but not to much as the effect your experience though.

  19. ShellieM50 says:

Best headstrap i tried, after 8-10 hours of continous gaming its still doesnt feel heavy or starts feeling itchy, the batteries doesnt have the longest life but can live up to 1.5 sometimes around 3 hours, depends on the usage.
I like my headstrap tight, hopefully its not gonna kill the mechanism, but as i saw its easily solvable, yet its very well. The charging is fine, faster than what quest 2 needs in a heavy pavlov match or during a fast paced zenith raid.
(Steam vr) so my experience does not fit those who run the game actually on the headset but why do you do it???

    9.9/10 would gladly recommend!

I bought this headset based on recommendations from friends using the Oculus. It was a good upgrade. The weight is balanced out better across your head so it definitely feels more comfortable. I was able to get a much better fit against my face when using this set up. The power pack was a nice touch as well. I hope one day these headsets are much, much lighter but until then, this is a good option to improve the comfort level.

When purchasing my quest I bought the elite strap and it was pretty awful. I tried a few that friends have purchased and found them to be much better. This product was highly recommended online and I definitely wanted to add a battery pack so I bought it.

Initially I absolutely hated it! It wasn’t what I was used to, I felt like it was going to fall off my head with the slightest movement and I couldn’t get a good fit or view. I looked online to see what I was doing wrong, I read articles and watched videos all about how to wear a headstrap, feeling like an idiot!

But perseverance pays off, I found the correct way to wear it for me. Now I can’t play VR without it. The counterweight provided by the battery pack has completely eliminated my neck pain and I haven’t had to worry about battery power once since user this battery pack. The faceplate is breathable and comfortable and doesn’t soak up all the gross sweat (buy sweat facemasks!!).

I also love that I can tilt the front up to quickly check my phone or grab a drink! The battery packs are magnetic and you can buy more if you’re spending 5+ hours playing continuously.

I highly recommend this headstrap and battery pack to all my friends and family who are interested in the oculus. Its far superior to anything meta sell/provide and the best value and design on the market in my opinion.

Pretty easy to fit and a massive improvement over the original head strap. That alone would be worth the cost, but you get the additional battery as well, which has come in handy when having a marathon session! Also it balances the headset reducing the pressure on your face. Two thumbs up from me!

If you have hair it will slip while on your head due to the padding at the back. The only fix is to get the honeycomb padding from the M1 which is offered in a promotion for free when purchasing the M2 Pro so make sure to add this to your basket. I didn’t realise until afterwards and realised it would really help me so I messaged the manufacturer and they sent out the kit to me on the same day. It was the fastest, most efficient and effective support I’ve ever received.

Simply great! Headset can be moved closer or further from the face on rails for a crystal clear picture and no god rays (a bit of trial and error but great in the end) – a must since with the original strap everything was blurry unless I used the glasses spacer/insert.

It’s a proper halo strap without the ever-shifting-and-sliding-unless-you’re-bald top strap, so headset is held securely against your forehead, sides and back of your head, instead being squeezed into your face. Padding is VERY comfortable, doesn’t make you sweat and is easy to wash.

The battery balances the headset really well, too, I had no more neck strain even after a few hours! One battery adds around 2.5h and swapping on magnets is really easy, magnets are strong and didn’t budge even in intense VR apps.

Once installed this is really comfortable and easy to adjust for fit. Having the battery pack with it is great and easy to connect to the headset, the battery itself snaps to the rear of the headset with magnets and starts secure as you move around and gives extra battery life to the Quest 2.

Overall it is plastic, but with nice cushioning and feels sturdy. Recommended.

Was a bit skeptical about getting this as it’s not a small amount of money? It’s certainly worth the money. I would get the M2 Pro over the M1 as it seems to be well made and the plastic is much more flexible making adjustments so much better.

My original Elite strap finaly gave up and snapped, I thought this one looked to big and bulky and would be far to heavy, gladly I was wrong, this is so comfortable, and barely weighs anything noticeable, the two pads sit just above the forehead and take the weight perfectly, once set up all you need to do is put the Quest 2 on your face and pull the back down for perfect positioning, the battery offsets the weight of the Quest 2 perfectly, no more squashed face headaches and gives plenty of extra wear time, I’ve never run it down completely from full charge even after 4 hours solid After the Fall. Feels very sturdy and hopefully lasts very well, definitely buy another if this ever fails.

So comfortable, excellent balance and good battery life.

This is by far the most comfortable and balanced head strap I’ve used so far. I really struggled to get a comfy fit that would stay in place and had already bought another alternative to this first as well as trying various pads. I don’t always use the battery pack as I rarely have too much time to play but it’s nice to have as a backup for those times your headset is low on charge.

Package arrived well packaged by both amazon and Bobo VR. After figuring out how to unfold the headset I got into the fitting of the halo style strap which is new to me.
After some tinkering I can honestly say that the comfort of this headstrap is exceptional, the new style pads hold the top of your head and as long as you use the rear head strap at the right angle ride up should not be an issue.
The included battery lasts for about a other hour all told and if you purchase another stand alone battery you can play whilst charging another battery to hot swap them as you play giving you unlimited poweeeeer!

Great value for money l, sure it could be cheaper but you get what you pay for and this is worth every penny especially when you consider the ease of use of swapping batteries whilst still wearing the headset, you never have to stop playing.
Having the quest battery plus two add on bobo batteries means I’ve never ran out of juice yet.

Brilliant and yes I recommend this to anyone who asks me about headstraps!

Up until buying this strap I was getting by using the standard elastic strap for the quest 2 and I’d struggle to use it for anything more than an hour. After installing the strap which was easy the experience is miles better the padding on the strap is soft and comfortable the battery along with giving extended use acts as a brilliant counterweight taking all the pressure of the face. This is a must buy for quest 2

    1. First thing I say to anyone who buys a Oculus Quest 2 is throw away the strap that comes in the box, it’s totally useless
    2. This won’t be to everyone’s liking but for my head etc its perfect added with a battery that’s removable/changed with h extra battery’s which I also bought.
    3. I play a lot of Table tennis and other fast paced action stuff it’s a godsend for me and many others I suspect.

    4. To round this up, buy this if you want extra power for, and comfort to your Quest

BoBovr is the best I’ve used.

After my second Oculus Elite Headstrap snapped I decided to shop around a bit. After checking out many YouTube reviews I settled on the Bobovr M2 Pro Strap. It arrived next day, took about 5 minutes to install, comes with a battery which sits on the back and a lead passes to the USB-C input on the Quest 2. Gives you about an extra 3-4 hours of gameplay on top of the 2-3 hours you get with the Quest 2. Plenty of gaming time and you can buy extra battery packs for the headstrap as well. As for comfort well I have a big head and at no point did I feel any discomfort or pressure on my head. My three daughters all found it very comfortable especially when jumping around to Beat saber. My partner also found it very comfortable. Overall this is the best headset I’ve used and would recommend it to anyone who has the Quest 2. You will not be disappointed.

I did quite a lot of research and stumbled on a YouTube video review for this (definitely worth checking out). I was on the hunt for something comfortable, practical and where I could wear my hair in a ponytail.

For anyone with long hair, this is the perfect strap. I like to tie my hair up in a ponytail and most straps meant I needed to put it to the side or wear bunches. Aside from this excellent feature, it’s super comfortable, adjustable and with the addition of being able to add on the battery, it makes it even better! I have now bought into the BOBVR ecosystem with the charging dock which just makes the whole set up super easy and fully charged when you want it!

Overall it is so comfortable and been able to wear for hours with no pressure points. Highly recommend!

I use my Oculus for about three hours and it is perfect for me. The extra battery life doesn’t make you feel anxious when you’re in the middle of a game and your battery is about to run out. You can charge both at the same time using the same adapter. You can adjust the headset so it doesn’t sit so much on your face which was my main problem. Easy to store and very easy to construct. I would recommend this to anyone who has an oculus. Please get rid of your old oculus headset. Also the battery takes about three hours to charge so it might be worth getting another battery if you’re a hard-core user as the battery itself last for three hours

If you wear your quest for more than 20 mins or you share it with other people then this headset is a must have accessory. Not just does it make it more comfortable to wear for long periods of time but also way easier to get just right. Gone are the days of VR face from wearing the headset too tight. On top of all that you now have endless battery (if you get an extra battery pack also) as swapping out the packs is so easy a child can do it.

The story is quite simple really; the Oculus Quest 2 comes with a horribly uncomfortable strap which needs an upgrade, and this product fits the bill. It feels extremely robust, fits really well, removes pressure from your face, and is extremely easy to adjust using the dial at the bavck. It’s the strap that the Oculus SHOULD have had by default.

The ONE thing I would say is, when you’re first attaching it, I think it needs a bit of fiddling to get it just right so that the viewing angle is right when you put it on, but once you sort that out, it is great. 100% required for parties so that you can easily switch between people etc.

I upgraded to this from the Bobovr M2 headset combined with the Rebuff Reality battery pack, as such much of my comparison will be around these two options, which I see as the best choices at the moment.

The M2 Pro fits and feels much the same as the original M2, however it disposes of the top strap as standard (although one is included in the box) and is intended for use without one.

It’s comfortable in use, although I felt a bit more pressure without the strap on top but after a bit of adjusting it’s pretty much fine, just takes a touch of getting used to.

The strap advertises itself stating “two battery packs can be used alternately to achieve unlimited battery life” in practice though the Q2 discharges slowly (around 10% per M2 battery) and each pack is emptied in about an hour, as such this isn’t really accurate, however it’s unlikely that you’re going to be playing for 10 hrs+ straight so not a problem.

Quality is good, with the plastic construction being slightly improved over early M2s, the ratcheting mechanism feels a bit looser but it holds well. Padding is greatly improved over the original M2 also which helps comfort a lot.

Compared to the M2 + Rebuff this is I’d say slightly less comfortable, but there isn’t much in it, most of this feels due to balance, the battery on the M2 pro being significantly lighter. Battery life is considerably less than the 10,000 mah of the rebuff but with 2 packs in play that’s not an issue. It costs more, but is a much more compact option, which allows the use of more non OEM cases and bags which is good.

All in all, I’m happy with the upgrade.

The only thing I would ask for is the ability to change the 18650 cells in the packs, their capacity will deplete over time and the way the packs are constructed would make it very easy to have replaceable cells in there, although given the rate of release of new headsets it’s reasonably likely that for most the headset will become obsolete before the packs are unusable.

I play a lot of music based games that require a lot of jumping around and moving, this strap keeps the headset on my head without putting pressure on my face.

Unlike the stock strap, this thing does not lean against your face, it uses the top and back of your head to support the device. No more red marks on your face. Yes it works with the glasses separater.

I haven’t had the need to attach the velcro strap on the top, and I don’t think I ever will.

The cushions on the strap are soft enough that I forget they’re there, but hard enough to keep everything in place when jumping around.

I would and have totally recommended it, I consider this a must have accessory for your Quest 2.

I had the standard head strap but sent it back as it slipped up the back of my head. I now have the M2 pro which has the battery pack which acts like a counter weight so is much better but does still slip up the back of my head Evey now and then but it’s a small price to pay for the very impressive product. It so much better then the others I have tried

Oh dear god I love this! The basic strap was hurting me after 20 minutes. With this I played for hours (up to 4 thanks to the battery) Witouth problems! I watched movies I watched events! Amazing little thing. Worth every peny

Purchased the non pro, then returned to purchase this instead!
Superb headstrap, replaced a Vive deluxe audio strap – this is so much more comfortable (just add your own headphones!)
Battery is a great addition, brilliant magnet attachment – surprisingly strong. Definitely worth the money.

git this for my son easy and simple to setup and use. No issues at all seems very good value if I’m honest. Makes using oculass very easy when swapping from person to perso

Two reasons I had bought this.
    1. For comfort, which it is very comfortable over long periods
    2. The battery pack. I also ordered a second battery, so I can swap them in and out.

    It meets all my needs!

There are a few problems which should be addressed.
    1. Where is the information advising on how to charge both the battery and the headset? I do them separately. But would be nice a guide on the correct way to charge.
    2. IMPORTANT. There is no audio warning noise when the battery has run out of charge and switches to using the headset power. So like me, if you forget to switch it out then you can run out of power at some point. Please add a noise or headset warning when the battery has run out.

But do not let the above put you off, it’s better to have this than not. Thus only 4 stars.

This bring the oculus to a whole new level! I had the bobovr normal strap as this one was out of stock, and was waiting for a while for this to come in, it’s amazing, you don’t know there is a battery on the back, it balances out perfectly

Initially, the strange antenna parts on the top of the headstrap bothered me, i.e. pressed down on the top of my head, but adjusting the top strap that attaches to the Quest helped alleviate the pressure and I don’t notice them now.

Primarily, I bought this for the battery feature which is a fantastic piece of design. Now, whilst playing a long game like Demeo I can just drop the battery in the back even without taking the headset off. The magnets keep it firmly in place and it can also act as a counter weight though the whole headstrap is better balanced than the conventual strap you get with the Quest or the plain elite strap.

Would I go back to the elite headstrap I was using before? No, and it’s a complete rip off for a bit of flimsy plastic.

You may need to fine tune the headstrap a little like bring the Quest closer to your face or adjust the top strap but most should find this halo type strap more comfortable and weighted better than the default offering. The battery feature is the icing on the cake and for many it will be why they choose this strap. This is the complete solution.

In comparison to the original Oculus strap it’s chalk and cheese. This is comfortable, easy to fit and the added battery makes a big difference too. The strap feels really comfortable around your face where the VR set rests and it’s very flexible in fitting a fit that takes the pressure off your head

The price is also very good with the added battery.

If you haven’t replaced the standard Quest 2 strap, do it now. I bought this because of the additional battery (there’s a version that doesn’t have an additional battery), but it’s also so much more comfortable than the standard strap.

This is the best strap out there for the quest 2. Good quality material, comfortable, easy to put on, well balanced thx to battery at the back. But I had to return it as the battery did not recharge. I was gutted, as it is an excellent head strap for the quest2, I was reluctant to return it there is no stock to replace it…. but I have returned it and now waiting for the strap to back in stock…….
Would of given it 5 stars, if it wasn’t for the faulty battery which did not recharge. However, a fully working strap would get my 5 stars, it the best strap for quest 2.

The headset is a great adjustable one only one problem is that there is too much padding! I know it sounds daft but the rear padding means you have to really tighten it otherwise it moves around on your head. I adapted the padding from and different elite type strap for the rear and it fits a lot better, the leather padding also makes it really warm. Best strap so far but there is room for improvement.

I’ve tried a number of straps either owned or on family members units. The offical Elite, a few copy elites, and one of the earlier halo straps not to forget the head band stock strap. The one thing I’ve been seeking though is something similar to the experience of the PS VR as it has the most comfortable headset I’ve used. The oculus will never reach that purely due to weight but some sacrifics have to be made for the portabliity I suppose. I’ve found Halo the best for this as it takes some pressure off your face and distributes is more onto the forehead. The early one just wasn’t great due to the way it attached and always felt like it was missing something.

This strap provides so much. I’ve found it easy to fit and the thick foam is very comfortable. It fits on easily and securely. The supplied battery zaps into place with the magnets and a little chime plays to let you know you’ve connected it in case you are working blind and acts like a decent counter weight making the unit actually feel lighter despite having more weight. The little horns don’t annoy my headshape and it fits well with my VR Cover interface.

Take a bit of time to adjust and check the foam as mine was slightly off and my hair stuck to the velcro. Fitted correctly now so shouldn’t bother me again.

It is a warmer strap than some others but this isn’t a terrible thing. All the pads are wipe clean.

Be nice if there was a pass through option to allow you to use link cable with it but you have to unplug the battery intead. The cable for the battery pack isn’t user replaceable which means you need to take care to avoid an accident break and given the way to hinged this might be more of a risk for less careful or younger users. It’s a nice strong feeling cable with braided cover but they could easily have designed it with a USB output on the rear and supplied a custom length C-C braided cable although that would open up potential socket failure to maybe six of one half dozen of the other.

The battery really boosts charge. I joined family for some games in a party which we all started from fully charged. Mine had been running out quickest in the past and my battery capacity has been reduced due to increased use and a bad habit of leaving it connected to the charger beyond the intial charge period.
This time after a few hours they had low battery warnings and I removed the pack to check and still was at 94%. Worth it for this alone without the mess of a solution I had been using with a powerbank and some velcro.

Overall if you are in the market for a Halo strap get this over one without power banks. Totally worth the extra. I really hope the next Oculus retains the same basic design for strap connections so I can move forward with this one in the future.

It’s a real shame they don’t ship to Northern Ireland directly. I had to divert mine via a friend and forwarded on without issues at the post office when declaring the battery. I’ve had plenty of other items with battery shipping without issue.

This headstrap is comfortable because the weight of the headset is spread over a much larger surface area compared to the stock strap. There is a lot of adjustability to the strap to fir your head just right, when it does, it feels great. The battery is the main selling point of the M2 Pro over the standard M2, it has a capacity of 5200mah (for reference, the Quest 2 has a battery size of 3640mah) that will significantly extent your play time.
The battery also serves as a counter weight to keep the weight of the headset balanced, and it really does help to keep your head up.
I have heard online that there may be a possibility that the battery will be advalible to be purchased on its own, this will mean that when the battery does eventually reduce in capacity over time, you can simply replace it with a new one.
The only thing I have against the design is that you cannot replace the USB cable that bridges the battery to the headset, but its not a big problem.

This strap is a good investment if you want to improve your comfort and extend your playtime.

I was surprised how good this head strap is. You dont realise how rubbish the provided headset strap is until you use an alternative.

Easy to set up and makes playing more comfortable.

The battery is a nice bonus, easy doubling your battery life.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI really love this halo head strap from BoboVR!
I feel lucky for catching the last one available on Amazon.

After trying several head straps for my Oculus Quest 2 (as the factory one is useless) I tested this one from BoboVR, the M2 Pro and the first thing I can say it’s “wow”.
What a major difference does it makes after several hours of wearing it. It is so comfortable and it just feels natural on my head. The rear padded foam has the right amount of cushion, the moving parts have the right amount of movement, the clips hold in place properly onto the Oculus Quest’s “ears” and the power bank is the coolest so far, allowing you to hot-swap the battery without stopping the fun.

My only “disappointment” is the fact I cannot find any B2 battery packs to purchase in the UK.

    Excelle

First off, Good Points: Far cheaper than the official Oculus Elite Battery Strap. Far more comfortable than anything Oculus makes for the Quest 2 so you can play for longer.

Not so Good Points: It doesn’t press against your face and squish it like the Oculus ones do BUT i because of that it does move about a bit on your face which can be annoying if you are playing a game that you have to move about a lot to play like SuperHot, PistolWhip etc.

Even with that I would still buy another one over using the Elite Battery Strap again.

I don’t use this, it was a gift. The recipient says it’s comfortable and easy to use. They did have to get a new case for as this is quite bulky.
I’m amazed at how quickly it arrived. I was expecting it to be mid January but it arrived well before Christmas which was brilliant!

Comfort: The head strap is very comfortable! The cushioning at the back of the head strap means it sits well with no discomfort. If you do find it uncomfortable, try swapping the cushioning around and you may find it much better for you. The original elastic head strap and the Oculus elite head strap isn’t as good as this one and considering it has that battery built in… I can literally play for hours with no discomfort!

Value for Money: This strap fits that description! Once on and adjusted to my liking, I did not have to adjust and reposition my headset at all, even after active movement. The build quality and material quality seem high and even the colour of the head strap matches perfectly with the Quest 2.

Ease of Use: The head strap was super easy to assemble and install, the video shown on Amazon is perfect and shows every step if you’re confused on how to attach it. I’d suggest to the supplier to include an instructions sheet within the box for how to install, so people don’t have to rely on finding a video demonstration; hence why I dropped 1 star for that section.

Overall: Perfect Strap and if you are considering getting one, just get it! It’s perfect!

This is a great product unlike Facebook’s couple of attempts. I tried the Oculus Quest 2 elastic strap which was not user friendly. Upgraded to Elite which broke after a few months and replaced this with another, then stumbled across this.
This is so well thought out in the way in which it both displaces the weight of the VR and the comfort and ease if use. To top all that they add a magnetic battery which adds a further three hours to the game time.
All in all cannot think of a negative comment! Amazing value for money which adds to the best and most affordable home VR system currently available. I have just ordered from the same Amazon retailer the added fan as this should resolve my only other issue of note…..foggy lenses 🙂

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBefore I purchased this strap I almost returned my Quest 2 and went back to my original CV1 headset. For me and my head shape (pretty average from what I’ve heard!), the original Quest 2 strap was far too uncomfortable, I tried every YouTube video on how to correctly use & wear the original strap – nothing worked, I would stop using the Quest way before the battery ran out just to give my head a break.

It was a choice between too much pressure on my face causing headaches, too much stress on the back of my head, or so slack that nothing on the screen was focused and it would flop around. I have had 3 different VR headsets before this, and none of them were as uncomfortable as the Quest 2 + original strap.

I refused to splash out on the price of the Elite Strap as I believe the Quest 2 should be comfortable enough to use without buying their overpriced strap – which it isn’t (for me).

Having a VR headset strapped to your head is never going to be totally comfortable, but this strap has completely removed all the pain I had before.

If the current strap is causing you to have too much pressure on certain areas of your head, or you are CONSTANTLY having to adjust it during play, buy this strap!

Takes a while to get it set up right as very diffrent to other types. The battery facility is fantastic and so easy to extend the game play.
Down side is the back strap that adjusts to your head could be a better cup fitting as it can slide up or down to easy.
Doesn’t fit in the case any more as it doesn’t fold flat so I have to slide it of the Oculus to store it.

Going to change the back cup for another type but great value for money and makes the headset sit better on the face without the need to keep adjusting as previous moved about and lost focus.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI have honestly never used any other strap except the default strap but I can tell you that this is a must buy for anyone, ever since switching to this strap I have never suffered from any neck pains since the counter weight is so good, the adjustable knob makes it really easy to adjust for new users and you can always get the tightness exactly how you’d like it. The actual removable battery component is really cool and being able to add 3 hours of battery life is really great, I will definitely buy a second battery when I can so that I can swap it out when one dies since I have found that I have been spending longer than 5 hours in vr at times but it really makes the whole experience so much better and all I’d recommend is to just buy a new faceplate like one from vrcover and you should be golden.

I upgrade from the original M2 head strap and whilst the differences are small, the comfort and balance with the new battery are certainly noticeable.

for anyone looking to buy a halo type head strap with batter, this is for sure better than the official Oculus/Meta offering, and cheaper to boot.

Cant comment on battery longevity, will have to see how that goes after 6 months of semi regular use.

Golden Review Award: 28 From Our UsersI ordered this after seeing VRCauldron review it on YouTube. I’m glad I did. This is quite possibly the best Quest head strap out there right now.

It blows the Elite strap out of the water on cost and build quality alone. And now beats the previous title holder for “Best Quest Head Strap 2021”, which was the Kiwi Upgraded Elite Strap.

I had a Kiwi and thought it a bit flimsy and overpriced. There wasn’t much in the box when you opened it, the adjustment wheel at the back felt flimsy & like it would break (one day) and the hinges that allow the mask to tilt up (when you need a break) would have very likely lost their grip after some time. That all said, the Kiwi was a lot better and cheaper than the Elite, for sure. It was the best one out there.

But time moves on, even in VR, and us lucky consumers have a new contender vying for the top spot. In my view this BoboVR wins it on every front. Here’s why.

The BoboVR M2 Pro is a halo-style headset, so it’s very like the PSVR one, which I always rated as a very well built and comfortable headset. The BoboVR build quality is phenomenal for this price (60). It feels well made & from high quality materials. It is VERY comfortable & light. It would fit many head sizes and the adjusting wheel feels reassuringly solid. It is well weighted and the padded antenna combined with the pad at the back are used to good effect to make the wearer feel very comfortable. I had no trouble using over-the-head earphones wearing it either as the headset doesn’t interfere with them at all.

The built in battery is a great feature. It looks great & means no more messy cables and fiddly battery pack straps need to get in the way. It snaps on neatly and the magnets hold it in place very securely. I can see no risk of it falling off. It also helps to counterweight the Quest itself, making the weight of the Quest on the face area even less. It’s brilliant & by far the best battery solution I have seen to date. A second battery would have been a nice touch, but you can’t have everything, especially at this price.

Talking of price, 60 is amazing value for the BoboVR. It’s 15 more than the Kiwi but you do get a lot more in my view. The battery alone is worth the 15, but add to that the build quality and comfort… it does beat the Kiwi by a mile (sorry Kiwi).

If I was to suggest one small design upgrade for a possible future M3 Pro it would be the power cable management. It’s tidy on the M2 but it could have been neater still by integrating the wire into the headset more, so that the wire can’t be seen at all. It’s fine as it is and very tidy, but you can see the wire, that’s all. It’s purely an aesthetic thing though.

Whether you are new to Oculus Quest or a VR veteran, you NEED this head strap for your Quest. It’s comfortable so you can wear it for hours and when your Quest’s built in battery dies, you can slap on the BoboVR battery and get 3 more hours of VR time.

All of this makes it the best Quest head strap on the market right now in my view (Nov 2021). It’s very reasonably priced, looks great, is very comfortable and the battery is the cherry on the cake for me. Buy it!

I hope this review has helped you.
