This is the best record box out there at the moment I think. However I order the black one for a gift and was sent the union jack print one. I had to return it and had apologies to make for a late birthday present. I ordered another one and thankfully the correct one was then sent.

Great storage for keeping vinyls in excellent condition. Once you master how to open it, it’s very easy & not a problem putting the lid back on the hinges, as the lid does completely come off, as in other reviews. Sturdy design inside & out.
I have two of these now, and I love them both – they’re so, so practical, and just perfect in terms of storing records. Both of mine fit around 60-70 records each, but bear in mind that a lot of mine are gatefolds, or just have particularly thick sleeves, so I absolutely do not doubt that this would fit 100 standard-size LPs. The lock is easy to use, and feels very durable; adds an extra level of security to it. The handle is also very strong – I’ve carried these crates around a lot, full, and never had any trouble with the handle feeling like it was too poor quality to maintain use.
The rubber feet are thick, and stable, so once this thing is down, it’s down – it won’t be moved, even if stacked! The inside has a (thin, admittedly) layer of foam that surrounds the records and saves them from being dinged about or damaged whilst inside. All in all, I love using these; they’re great value for money, and have a certain look I just adore! Highly recommend.
It depends what you want it for, of course. If it’s something that you want to carry around with you a lot, then I’d think about splitting your collection, if it completely fills the box. It does get quite heavy. If you’re going to use it for storage and/or moving house then it’s just the thing you need. I think your records would be about as safe as they could be in the back of a moving van.
The only gripe I have with an otherwise perfect vinyl storage system is the locking mechanism when opening and closing the lid. As the two rivets often misalign and so can be quite a nuisance when this happens.

This was purchased for my wife to safely store her vinyl records.a good sturdy product.
Have been buying these boxes as a present for several years & recipient has never said they are not suitable for his collection of records.
Flight case styled, sturdy lockable cases, which, thanks to the rubber feet can be stacked one on another.
The lids are easy to remove completely for searching through the case and they are the perfect size so that the weight of a full case is manageable. I’m going to buy more!

Fabulous quality and easy sturdy enough but boy is it big. Ate my records in a dash and now happy they tidied away and smart.
Big old unit though so make sure you have somewhere to store it.

Really should have read the product description properly. It is way bigger than I thought and I can use it as a small table. Very sturdy easy to use and great for keeping records in. Its every I want to store records in but everything I don’t want because it really is designed for a DJ one the go taking their venal to a gig, something I will never do.

I bought this product to store my treasured Vinyl safely having to get rid of my Record Rack due to shortage of space. The Gorilla Boxes are sturdy, tough and easy to lock. They are similar to the Record Boxes used by Some Club DJs. Well worth the money! Oh and they are easier to assemble as well!

My daughter was so happy to be able to store all her records safely together. It is quite expensive but worthy the money and it looks great. Sturdy box for home or work, though you’d need to be strong to be able to carry this box when its full!
Definitely won’t fit 100 recent records but the storage space is still amazing. Holds most of my record collection. Very sturdy even when full but be careful because it ways a TON! Easy and handy lock which you can also padlock for safe keeping. Very well made and feels like a quality, sturdy case. Good value for the amount.
