These lights exceeded my expectation for the price! They simply plug into your tv’s usb port. The adhesion is great and the remote also has adhesion so it’s nicely tidied away. The app is easy to use and has lots of different colour and effect options. Don’t think about it just but them!
Great product especially considering the cost of the alternatives. The app does quite a lot, I was able to set up a timer so it turns on and off at specific times. You’re supposed to be able to link it to Alexa as well but it didn’t work for me.

Got myself a sparking new backlight. I’ve the pillars from groove so I’m aware how hit and miss the UI app is but they’re great lights, everything works as it should. The adhesive on the back of the LEDs is great, give it a good rub to heat it up, apply some pressure and it’ll hold strong. There’s little tabs to apply Futher pressure and hold the LEDs closer to there edges. They are fine if the back surface which your applying the LEDs is flat but for curved surfaces you’ll notice they won’t work that great. Not bad overall for the fitting but the lights are great.

The lights are really good. I’m really happy I bought these and I’m overall happy with everything. The only thing is once you stick it onto something, it wasn’t the easiest to get it to re-stick. But if you ever need, some double sided tape would work.(and I got some for cheap online) Other than that I am really happy with the produc
Very impressed with the lights. Not over packaged, easy to set up and the extra brackets really help to keep it neat and tidy. I like the fact it’s blue tooth and not something else to add to the wifi or another remote for my kids to hide. The music mode is a nice touch. 100% would buy again.
Really easy to set up, almost idiot proof. Plug and play so minimal messy cables.
Only thing is I really feel like 43″ is the maximum size. Although the effect is good, there was barely enough to go around all 4 sides of the TV.

Was originally planning on buying the Phillips Hue lighting but this from Govee is just as good and at a fraction of the price. Completes the room perfectly and very happy with the purchase. Would highly recommend.
I bought this for my LIving room TV , as it was in a dark corner in my room , it brings my needed light and would definitely recommend them .
They are really easy to install and straight forward.
Good light strip however it states for TVs up to 60inch…..no chance. It only covers 3 sides not the 4 as stated in the advert so a bit misleading. Now I need to look for a longer light strip as the bottom of the TV is not out up. Brightness is 4 out of 5 could be brighter however it’s okay for most needs
I have a 48 inch TV and the 2m strip fits perfectly. I came in a few inches from the outsides of the tv and created a square shape. Lights are beautiful and bright and app is very easy to use. Pairs easily with the govee app and easy to add to home group if you have other govee devices already set up.
I have bought a few sets of led strip lighting and some of them are horrible to work with. This set however was utterly brilliant. Took 5 mins to fit. Plugs into the TV usb port. When you switch the TV on the light comes on and switches off when the TV is turned off. I think blue is the best colour but the app let’s you choose any colour you want….
Bought these lights around 18 months ago and they’ve been fabulous. Put them in the back of one of my office monitors just for a bit of fun and have totally loved them. They were easy to install and have always worked faultlessly.
I’ve got quite a few sets of Govee LED strips and do keep on adding to my collection! Husband thinks I’m nuts but secretly loves the ambiance these pretty little lights create.
Very recently, my monitor set developed an issue and wouldn’t work. On a wild impulse I contacted Govee through their App and sent them a video of my problem. I was advised that my lights were out of warranty but that as a gesture of goodwill they would sort a partial refund. Their Customer Service has been excellent. Thank you June! I did not pay a vast sum for these lights but that small gesture has ensured that I will buy again from Govee. In fact I’ve got a couple of new LED light sets in my basket waiting to be purchased.
The Govee app is really good, and I’m collecting points so I can exchange them for more lights amazingly!
If you love your LED lights then these will not disappoint!
I would like to be able to buy a separate Govee WiFi controller and power pack so that I can utilise any spare sections which are cut off. Govee if you read this please sort out as you are missing a huge sales bonus here! And I’m fed up of throwing away decent off-cuts.
I’ve tried another make of Widi controller which was didn’t work and was returned for a full refund.
I like that you can control everything from an app on your phone, the colour choices and brightness is good. The only downfall is that THEY RANDOMLY TURN ON AT 5AM and it wakes me up!!! I’ve read online and have seen other people complain about the same issues of it randomly turning on at different times
The lights definitely brightens up the room when watching tv in a perfect way and it comes with a remote too where you can change the colours and brightness. One things is that I’m not sure why the lights keep switching on by itself at times even when you switch the remote off as well as the tv , which can be a bit annoying.
Bought these to fit my 43″ TV, Rather than fit in a square configuration, I attached down both sides of the TV and 1m across the top (Leaving the bottom of the TV with no LEDs, this suits me as this is hidden by a soundbar anyway).
The LED’s are plenty bright enough, app was easy to install and pair via Bluetooth, for the money this is a very good product.

These led lights are very bright and the attach to the surface very strongly. I was able to use these on my 25″ monitor by bending the corners. I made sure they would fit nicely behind the monitor before attaching them and I have to say, it was quite an easy job!
The remote control works just fine and with the app I’m also able to set my own color gradients and choose the speed I want the colors to fade.

My son in law is a gadget fan . He had this on the back of his telly . It looked lovely , a colourful glow surrounds the screen . So effective for fab price , easy to install but you do need a usb outlet or plug . It has a control to turn on and off and to change colour . It’s one of those things that you don’t know you need it until you’ve got it .
Have had these for about 5-6 months now. They are so good we ended up buying 3 sets for all the TVs in the house. Will be sticking with Govee when upgrading to other LED / Light bar products.

can’t really complain for how much I paid, adhesion isn’t the best, but the strips are pretty decent.
Adhesion good but use a better alcohol wipe for surfaces, small one given not really good enough, ive got all 3 sets working separately with my iPhone. Or use manually if you prefer but not so many colours to choose from unless you use the Govee app. If you want to use Alexa then purchase the more expensive led Govee lights.
Overall for the price, they are easy to recommend.
They are easy to install on the back of the tv. Just measure out how you’re going to affix them before starting. Having a second pair of hands to help with measuring and affixing is advisable but probably not necessary.
The built in remote control is very basic giving very little control options. You have a power button, a colour button that moves through about 5 choices and the brightness button that again has about 5 stages. Otherwise you need to download the app.
And the app is ok. It’s a little fiddly and occasionally buggy but overall it worked well for the most part. I was able to create my own custom modes with minimal effort. To see the changes you have to hit apply.
Also the colour selector, which may have the 16 million options, doesn’t appear to transfer so well to what you see on the wall. The colour certainly wasn’t quite the same on the wall as it is on my phone screen. But with a bit of playing and hitting apply I got some colours saved that I’m happy with.
Overall, as I said at the start, for the price this is an easy product to recommend. Easy to setup and it does what is says.
Very easy to install, good adhesive used. Plugged to USB in the TV so no extra cables, very handy. Just I wish they were a little longer, but still OK for 55″ TV

Bought from my 40in TV in bedroom, doesn’t disappoint, quite relaxing and calming when watching TV in bed.
Just stick the LED strips to the back of TV and plug the USB into the TV, lights go off with the TV.
App is easy to use and you can adjust colour, hue and brightness aswel as making your own scenes I.e flickering light, twinkling and changing colour to beat of music.
Will be investing in another set for my 53in in the living room.

Ordered 1 pack of these lights which came fine and stuck to the underside of my desk. I bought another pack which upon first sight looked exactly the same. When I went to apply them to the side of my desk only the first strip fully stuck, the remaining 3 kept sliding/falling off so I’ve had to improvise and glue them to the desk. They still work but it shows a large variation, some good some bad
Fitting instructions are great. Plenty of product to have fit around 3/4 of our 64″ TV (top and sides) loads of different modes and colour options which are best applied through an app on your phone. The brightness isn’t great, they could go brighter also they’ve occasionally turned on through the night on their own. Otherwise, very happy with the product.
If I had ordered for a larger tv, this led set would not have gone around all 4 sides (although it does state that in the description.)

At just over 10 I think they are great. Those expecting a 10 set of leds to illuminate their whole room are asking a little too much in my opinion.
To summarise, these are perfect for a 43 TV, if you want every side illuminated on a larger TV, I think you need to buy a bigger size set.
Light works really well and have good light coverage but the length of lights/wire is abit short trot a 47″ tv so the light doesn’t quite reach the corners and cover the back fully, other than that the illumination over the light are very good
After reading some reviews I was unsure about this purchase, however for less then 10 at time of purchase, I am soo glad that I took the chance. These lights fit my 43″ TV perfectly. The govee app is simple to use and there are alot of different settings and colours to be found on there. Overall I am really impressed with these lights. 10/10 Will definitely be buying some more for upstairs tvs. Video was taken whilst lights were on music party mode.
I didn’t pay attention to the add and was a bit dissapointed that they were not cimpatible with Alexa or have wifi. But then that was my error. Based on the bluetooth app controlled lights and not compared to what I thought I was buying….. these are great if you want lighting at an affordable price that seem more expensive.
The app was easy to set up and use although I didn’t know which to select from the list. Then when it couldn’t find the one I chose it gave me to option to scan for divice. Why no just have that option? Anyway, it found the lights and connected to them without any issue.
I love the amount of colours and mood available. You can do diy mode and make your own sequence programme. You can also view and download other peopkes that have submitted their programed diy for use by others.some are rubbish in my opinion but we are all different. There was a nice haloween one that someone had made. Gentle relaxing changes from purple, though greens into res, then blue back to greens. Slow fades and the light dark of the different colours complimented each other so the light in the room barely changed in brightness. Allowing those who suffer migraines easily through harsh lighting and brightness changes to benefit. I recommend these. My TV is not flat behind. Some juts out which was harder to place lights on. Then there was navigating the wored connection ports like hdmi. You can’t place the cable just anywhere areound the TV. But that is true for many tv I’m sure.
The product description could be a little clearer detailing how these should be setup on your tv, as that was a little confusing at first and required me to reposition after initially figuring out the light strip would not fit around the whole screen (I have a 55″ tv).
When switched they are great and provide some neat lighting options and colours more than I had expected. I don’t really use the remote or change colour that much for practical use but it is still need to show off to your friends when they come around!

Just to let other people know it does fit for a 55inch TV as I have a 55 inch Samsung smart tv and it’s perfect for it as you can see in my images! For the price you can’t moan, the LED is brilliant and so easy to install on your tv!
I don’t even know how to say it but definitely best pennies I have ever spent !! Worth every bit of money, it’s so easy to install on your telly and the brightness is 10/10 can’t believe how good these lights are!

The remote control is done on your phone via an App, simple to set up and use. Am pleased with my purchase.
The only down point is that my TV is a 50′ and the cable is a little short, would be better on slightly smaller TVs but when dark in the evening, it is a very pleasant experience. Excellent value.
Great choice of colours and good app to go with the lights. Only downside is occasionally after turning the lights off at night they turn themselves back on at some point through the night. Didn’t have a remote but use with smartphone app anyway
Really nice set of RGB lights, lots of functionality due to their app and also has a handy switch.
Compared to other rgb lights this is more expensive so if you’re only planning a single light strip might as well go for the cheaper alternatives however of you’re planning for multiple rgb lights and want to color coordinate them all them then go govee since the app makes it easier to control all of your lights.
Overall pretty happy with this purchase. The app remote works fine, however, the hand control does not work and you can only have the lights on when the TV is turned on. Not sure if this is how it is supposed to be or if the product is faulty…..
Update to original review: 07/07/2023: this is actually a Brilliant purchase. I did not understand the concept nor I did read the instructions properly! The product was/is not faulty.
Since the app has been updated it is actually even better and I have no need for the hand remote which is attached beheind the tv for quick access purposes (if my hands are wet from washing up etc.) I will quickly tap the button and it will come on and already be on the colour I already had turned it off too! Great stuff
Great lights for the price. These are attached to a 27″ monitor that is used for work and some console play at night.
They come in 50 cm strips and as you can see in the image I had to fold the spacers together and bend the actual LED strip because of the monitor size but it is working fine.
The LED is bright at night – images are during the day with the blinds drawn.
These aren’t smart lights as they rely on either a Bluetooth controlled app or the controller but that was fine for me. I’ve got HUE elsewhere in the house and control that via Echos or the app.
I’m happy with this strip and will purchase a second to place along the side and back of my computer desk for even more lighting.
The monitor I use doesn’t have USB so I simply used an extender so it could plug into my plug.
Very happy with these. I wanted bluetooth backlights and having already owned some Govee LED strip lights I knew that these wouldn’t let me down. Lots of colour and back be dimmed. The app works well and is responsive but some of the scenes on there are a bit “meh” and some seem to be locked without any instuction on how to get hold of them – hopefully in time they will be available to use. Still, I am very happy overall.
The colours and brightness are great. Looks really great around my TV.
However, it doesn’t wrap around an entire TV so be careful. I own a 49″ and it just about fits around 3 sides. I’m sure alot of people would assume that it covers an entire tv. Also there is no remote but it does have some buttons on the strip where you change the colours and brightness. I stuck mine to the back of the TV which was no problem.
Product is okay. the adhesive tape is incredibly sticky whoch is really good however the overall brightness is lacking. the leds and diodes are exposed leading me to be cautious when handling these. The app is extremely quick and responsive, same as the physical controls. Overall not a bad product, just lacks brightness however these are good for the mere 12 I paid and is certainly better than a standard LED strip for my use case on a monito
Good bit of kit but I had two issues with it one the sticky tape was a pain and secondly when I turn my TV off it turns the led lights of at the same time then give it 5/10sec the led lights comes back on again however my old one never done that so I manually turn it off myself which isn’t easy when your TV is mounted against the wall
This is a good product that works well for my children’s room.
The adhesion is good, the lights all work and have been working so far. The remote control is good too alongside the controls that you have that stick to the wall too.
Overall a good product and works well. With the cables running behind, if you have a TV wall mount that extends out, you won’t be able to pull the TV out without stretching the LED cables. If you did want to pull your TV out then you would need to cater for the extra slack in cable. I personally think that won’t look good as then you will have to much cable which may be seen.
Lights look great i brought two sets for back lighting a ceiling. Colours are good whites ok, warm white bit yellow and cool white a bit blue but ok, phone app simple to use, each time you re-enter you have to wait few seconds for Bluetooth to pair. They do different sizes, i got 4 x 50 cm strips with a approximately 10 cm flexible wire comecting each to gether, cotroller at one end (has doble sided sticker tab as well, but I’ve not use this) )with a usb conection to either tv or phone plug, or usb plug socket, if you have space you could plug into a smart socket. Only thing id prefer would be alexa voice compatible which are not much more,

I bought these for my son’s tv which is an older tele and not as flat as today’s types, however these lights went on well. I thought they were a bit long to begin with but actually I made them fit the 32 inch t.v. just fine. The adhesive is adequately sticky but be careful to pick off the top layer of cover and not the adhesive strip with it as I did initially. It was easy to rectify as I realised what I had done quickly and it stuck down again without issue. I used the extender bits to avoid bending the lights on corners. The extender pieces are flimsy and curl like ribbon making it easy to coil the lights around the corners.
To avoid the weight of the little receiver pulling off the lights, I stuck that to the rear if the tv too just slightly to the side. This works well as the lights are operated by a Govee app and to change effects you need to point the phone towards the are a of the receiver.
My son always has these lights on and uses the custom colour functions on the app to set the hue just as he likes.
He loves it so much he has asked me to add lights around the whole room now.

I know they are mean for tv but I bought these to give a bit of extra light above my desk while working, and then to give a bit of atmosphere when I’m not working! They tick all my boxes – easy to stick how/where I wanted, nice adjustable brightness. Just plugs into my PC and you can use the attached control to change the colours, brightness and turn it on/off. I also downloaded the App which I would recommend as you can use that as a remote and have lots more colours and options to choose from (such as flashing/fading and choosing your own combination of colours). Very happy with them and will probably buy more for other rooms
These lights are great for the price and are easy to use. The only thing I will say is I originally put these on my 42″ TV and they were small for the TV, it didn’t have a very good effect.
I moved them onto my 32″ TV (pictured) and think they work much better, so if you have a bigger than 32″ tv just be prepared they may not look as vibrant as with a smaller TV
Easy to set up and fit to the back of the tv. However this product is misleading if you want it all the way round your TV of anything bigger than a 42″. It claims to fit upto a 60″ tv. It does if you don’t want to illuminate the bottom as it will only fit round 3 sides . If you want the lights to fit all sides of the tv , then I would suggest only getting these for a tv no bigger than 42″. Having said that , the lights are of good quality and the app makes them really easy to use. Not quite as bright as I expected but does make a huge difference . I will be switching these lights to a smaller tv and start looking for a longer set .
First of all, I was unsure whether to buy a LED strip because sometimes it looks tacky etc. But I was somewhat wrong because it’s only in pictures it looks like that unless you can see the exposed strip itself. However, since this is behind the TV it is very good and looks pleasant. My TV is a 40″ LED Samsung and it is perfect for it, I planned out the measurements well and made sure everything is perfect and knew where the USB port will be along with the control. I highly recommend taking your time and having a measuring tape along with a marker (non permanent) to help you plan how you want install this for perfection. I have no remote control but I can use the app or control that is attached to the led strip itself. The app is great and has a large selection of colours. Pictures don’t show the full story, it’s better in real life. Only potential downside can be that it only works when my TV is on, however I found a option on my TV to “picture off” so that is good enough for me. I still don’t know if there is a disco/music mode for the lights.
Brightness – I have installed the LED strip behind a desk and they are plenty bright enough for the task in hand. Would work equally well at the back of a TV.
Adhesion – Appears to be a good quality adhesive on the LED strips and they have held up well so far over several months
Colour Accuracy – This is where these particular LED lights fall short. White colours are inaccurate with it appearing either as blue or orange for both cool and warm tones respectively. However this is to be expected at this price point, only a minor disadvantage.
Control – The app used for controlling the lights is no less than superb. It is light and easy to navigate as well as simple to set up custom lighting scenes. There is also a small 3 button controller to control colour, brightness, as well as an on and off button. However in order to utilize the full potential of the strips, the app will need to be used.
Conclusion: * Good Brightness

Yet to download the ap, but personally not required. I have set it up to the colour and brightness for me and doubt I will have a reason to change it.
If i did the remote attached to the back of the tv makes it pretty simple to do so.
Packaged well, leds come as a strip on a plastic wheel. Just unwind, peel of sticky back smooth down, plug in to usb slot and you all done.
They don’t turn off instantly when you turn the tv off, as there is still some electric running through, but fades quickly. No issues with tv being on standby mode they stay off.
Nice glow around the tv which does not impact on viewing.
Took me a little while to get the adhesive backing paper removed successfully. Be careful at this point as I messed up on one side and removed the adhesive tape by accident.
Once fixed, the actual light set up is very easy to do. The app connects via Bluetooth and within seconds you can change the colour to quite a decent selection, along with the brightness and whether you want the lights to blink or not.
Overall great for the price
Proper good good bit o kit, downloaded the app to find out they’ve only gone and added a candle theme. Mi Bird loves it I have never had so much action admittedly her jumping on cod wasn’t the action i was hoping for but what can ya do. Orate her sister is fitter but that’s not the lights fault. Anyway yeah so the lights are alright flash flash look cool be better if they had it matching the color of the TV but i don’t think it would be viable using a USB Plug in like how would it even know the color of the TV programme? Don’t know because I’m not an electrician wish i was i probs wouldn’t be getting this with my dole money from being whacked on standard Furlough through all this but at least Amazon is making money so they can sell more of these awesome products. Anyway I am drifting so yeah buy them they are good.
The strip itself didn’t stick that well but the clips that come with the set sorted that issue.
They turn on/off with your TV so you can leave it on your desired setting, but if you do want to change the settings the APP works great, instantly controlling the LEDs!
One major downfall was that these aren’t that ideal for a 50″+ tv, I would say fantastic for a smaller tv but not quite long enough for my needs.

I have used a few different Govee products and like them (especially their dream colour product) .
This review is for the most basic model they do for a TV , but was exactly what I needed. Fitted to a 40 inch screen. I get what some people say about why have they made the strips to form a square rather than rectangle, but still fits ok on a 40 inch screen.
I dropped a star because it could be brighter , however this could be because I am using the USB of the TV (which gives a neat installation). I haven’t tried with a bigger external power source to see if it gets brighter. I haven’t tried the Bluetooth or custom colour app etc , when I switch my TV on it comes on, when I switch my TV off it goes off (this is because my TV controls the output to USB). The button control attached to the wire is very neat and adhered nicely to the wall behind the screen should I ever need to use it. .
Overall I am very pleased with this product for my basic use.

I downloaded the app scrolled through the various lights, found mine and connected per blue tooth immediately, no problem at all.
After testing that the lights functioned I unplugged it so I could attach it to the back of my TV.
I put two of the extra clasps on the top of the TV, one in each corner. Now I could test hang the strip until I found the right position so that the lights were where I wanted them.
Peeling the cover off the adhesive was a bit tricky for my fat fingers but I managed to peel each one without ruining the adhesive strip. I pressed the spaces between the LEDs until I felt that they had stuck.
The whole process took a matter of a few minutes.
The range of colours is very good imo. I won’t use the presets as playing with the phone app gives me more than enough choices.
I agree with other reviews that its not the brightest but if you are happy with a mood or scene setter (as I am) the light is more than good for those roles. It certainly enhances the viewing experience.
I am very happy with this purchase. Ease of installation, ease of use and a very good end result all at a very low cost is a win for me. A great introduction to TV backlights.
You could say I have a bit of an obsession with adding LED lights to everything I possibly can, and for that I look no further than Govee, the quality of all their products are outstanding.
The lights are bright and there’s so many colours you can change them to.
The adhesive is great, I’ve not had them fall off anything yet and they come with small sticky brackets that give them that extra secutiry incase youre worried they will unstick.
You can control these lights via the controller that is built into the light strip itself and you can control it via bluetooth on your phone/tablet using the Govee Home app aswell, the app is very well set out and so easy to use, it’s an easy way to control your LEDs without having to go and use the in build controller.
Adhesion is great, brightness is very good and is adjustable via the remote control or the app.
The only complaints I have with these lights is that the light doesn’t surround the TV.
I have seen others which use a continuous LED strip however these have huge gaps between 4 strips of leds for the corners so you end up with gaps in the light.
Looks okay but not what was advertised on the images given.
That’s why I cannot give it a 5 star review.
These have stuck to my TV without any problems for the last few months, even when I was picking it up to move around then wall mount it while redecorating.
The Bluetooth control via mobile app is easy to setup and the in-line controller also sticks nicely to the back of my TV if I want to use that.
The lights are plugged into my TV’s USB port so they come on when the TV does, quickly cycle through all the colours and then settle on whatever they were on previously (I always have them set to light blue).
I check them every so often for quality issues like them getting warm or exposed wires/connectors, there’s none of that, all fine so far.
At the time of this review I bought these for 10.99. I have had previously bought cheaper generic ones off ebay and the build quality was poor and it use to lock up on a colour which was annoying as I like to transition through colours, half the buttons on the controller never worked and I had to point it at the controller box no more than 5cm away for it to work.
Yesterday my new 4k TV arrived for the bedroom and thought I’d replace the LED’s and after much research I decided on these for not far off what I paid on EBAY previously for unbranded ones.
Let me tell you this set up for the price is a steel, corners are thought of which was not my last set and come with a little excess which is brilliant, alcohol wipe included which I did not need on a new TV, 5 3m clips and a very well put together control box which feels solid.
For running off the TV 5v USB these are as bright as you will get and some one here with the bad review is a little clueless. My job includes RGB a lot nowadays as everyone wants it in there computers and these are spot on.
As I said TV is new so super clean and everything has stuck perfectly, I have used zip ties on any excess wire.
Application was on the IOS store and was very easy to set up and with the colour transitions I wanted and I am super pleased with the quality of this product for the price. DAM TV looks amazing.
Now please GOVEE get the Govee Dreamcolour WiFi Television Backlights Kit I have seen on youtube listed for a 40″ TV and you get my money straight away!
The lights are very good and do their actual purpose very well and without issues. They stick well to any monitor, mine is 24 inches which supposedly is too small, but if you stick them on in a loop it works fine. Only complaints is that you have to be pretty close to the lights for the remote control app to work, making it pretty much pointless. In addition, the biggest let down for me was how they STINK of a burning plastic/electronic smell. You can smell it as soon as you walk in my room now and it’s not a nice smell either.
I give product 90%, the quality doesn’t feel cheap, the adhesive is very sticky which was an advantage if (like me) took 3 attempts to equally stick around our new 50″ TV. I advise purchasing this product if you don’t want to use up another plug socket as goes straight into a HDMI slot. Remote sticks easily to the wall or back of TV which again is very strong. My only downfall after 4 days of installing is that I can only ever get Red Green Yellow or Blue and not a mixture to match what is on TV that the picture shows. Don’t let this put you off as not regrets on this purchase.
This is also great on the eyes, creating less contrast between the TV colours and the backwall. Once you try it, you won’t ever want to watch TV at night without it.
Another nice feature of this LED strip is that the remote control is handled through an app. Unlike other LED strips, I find it a lot nicer to be able to control the LED strip from my phone than having to track down a mini-remote.

The company also has great customer service. They respond promptly to inquiries and are very helpful with responses.
Used on a 50 inch LG tv. I’m not sure how good these would be if your TV was mounted on a wall as spacing the four strip’s would be difficult. I put one on each side and two across the top next to eachother, as our TV sits on a unit and doesn’t need a lower light. Used the clips to clamp down the wire joins. I really like the options and colours, everything seems to work really well. Look forward to watching a few films and seeing if it helps with the viewing experience.
The app works good for controlling the lights but all the pre set options are all red and orange basically and they do stop after sometime. You can make a custom setting which works fine as long as you don’t out purple onto it as purple turns white on the DIY settings.
The length isn’t great I was not able to put a strip on all four sides of a 49″ TV because the connections between strips are not long wnough.. soni just put 2 strips along the top instead which is fine and it still looks good.
I recently ordered these lights for my sons TV, they arrived quickly and well packaged but unfortunately after installing them they proved to be faulty. They worked for a short time and then wouldn’t turn back on.
I contacted the seller and they were fantastic from start to finish they advised me of a couple of things I could try to get them working and after doing these things it became apparent that unfortunately I had received a faulty set.
I wasnt too bothered about this as the company sent out a replacement set within days and I’m happy to say they work perfectly.
The customer service was brilliant in dealing with my issue and the product itself is very effective, my son loves his new lights and I’m even considering getting some for my TV.

Wasn’t expecting such a polished product for the low price. The build quality seems spot on and the app works well and is easy to use. If your TV has a flat surface where the LED’s will be placed the adhesive will work well. If your TV is like mine and for some reason has bobbled/uneven surface then a few bits of additional sticky tape here and there is recommended. The installation itself was straight forward and I recommend you move the TV first so you have easy access to the back where the LED’s will be placed. Once installed move the TV back to its normal resting spot. MY TV is 10 inches away from the wall and the lighting affects are pretty good. I believe 6 inches away would produce the best results.
The product itself in my opinion could easily demand a higher price and i’ll be looking to add a few more of their products in the future (PC monitors/Bedroom TV)
These LED backlights are good value. They are not as bright as others I have had in the past, but then the idea is to reduce eye strain and improve depth of blacks in a darkened room and not in the daytime, so that’s fine.
As well as the LED strips themselves having self-adhesive backing, the box also includes small self-adhesive plastic brackets that you can use to fix the wires that connect each strip and prevent any tension in these from slowly pulling the strips off over time.
The control via Bluetooth app is good, with full personalisation of the colour choice. One thing I knocked a star off for is that the unit doesn’t remember your choice of temperature for the white setting if it’s completely powered down. I have a smart plug connected to my TV and AV system and use this to shut everything off to avoid devices sitting in standby mode. When powering up, these LED lights will come back up in white mode, but the temperature defaults back to the mid setting.
For the price, I think these represent good value given the quality and control available.
In regards to the actual product, it seems pretty good, the adhesive feels very strong (although it only arrived today so we’ll have to see how long it lasts!), very easy to set up, just plug it in, turn bluetooth on on your phone, load the app up and find via bluetooth devices
I’d recommend this so far, I’d just tell people to scrutinise and double-check sizing before purchasing to make sure it’s big enough to get a uniform fit, definitely a user error on my end, and one I’ll learn from.
Unless something happens, I do intend to purchase this again when my new PC desk arrives
Too small for all 4 sides of a 43 inch TV. Maybe for smaller tv would be ok. I only managed to do 3 sides. It was quite tricky to put around and cover only 3 sides nicely because of the wire between them. In my opinion it’s better to get lights that don’t have any space (wire with no lights) between so you can just go easy around your tv.
Came on time, packed well and so far had no problems. Work well with the app.
It’s a great effect and the app is easy to setup and use to control them. It supports a good range of colours as well as programmable effects like fading or jumping from one colour to another. You can adjust the speed and colours used to create a breathing effect too. It remembers your settings when you turn it on again after a brief flash of the main colours. If you use the physical remote it will stop using the settings in the app and just cycle through the basic colours and 4 brightness presets.
Brightness is ok. If the room is really dark it is very noticeable but you will need the screen to be quite close to the wall. In low light the effect is reduced significantly so would have liked one light level higher.
Excellent value for the price.
I had seen a few tvs for sale with these built in and was on the fence if they would add any difference to my tv set up in the living room. I have a Hi-sense 55 inch b7500 tv, a budget big tv and tbh the blacks are not spectacular.
I bought these on a whim and i must say very impressed.
3 Brightness settings. Auto on with the tv power, can be turned off using the high quality control box, does not feel cheap, very very well built, adhesive was really good too, put on slow to make sure to leave no air gaps. That suckers stuck on there good now.
Only thing i wish is that i had bough a larger kit, whilst looks amazing giving the room this new feel and atmosphere when watching movies (even takes away from the horrid blacks on my tv)
3 sides on this large tv wish it was big enough to do a bottom strip. Worth the small cost.
This isn’t expensive and for what you get it’s good, my main issue is the colour spectrum is poor. The red glows more of an orange, the orange, more a yellow. Given these are primary LED colours, surprised how poor they are (the green/blue appear much closer to expectations) – before people say it’s the reflection on the walls, I’ve taken this into account and have another led light which shines a perfect red on the same wall.
The mobile app (using bluetooth) seems to work very well as does the inline remote control.
It would be nice if they did something with a much richer colour spectrum (for more more I don’t mind).
The app is great no problems a lot better than having a remote and I control both sets of lights from the app perfect.
And because they are powered from the usb connections on the TVs they switch off with tv my old light had to be switched off from a socket etc then batteries would run out on remote when wanting to change colour etc this is much more simpler and practical.
Very happy with them no problems to dated.
The lights work fine and are as described but in my opinion they are not suitable for TVs between 40-55 inches if the TVs are wall mounted. This might work adequately on a free standing television however if your TV is mounted close to the wall as mine is then you need to have the strips close to the perimeter to see any ambient light. 4 X 50cm strips are not nearly enough for my 49 inch TV although it might have (almost) been enough for three sides. Unfortunately it’s very difficult to determine what the effect will be until you’ve fixed the lights and put the TV back in place but in trying to cover four sides I’ve ended up with some light around the top and bottom of the screen and just about none at the sides. I’m sure these lights would be perfectly effective on a much smaller TV.
I purchased this for my new LG TV. I watched a youtube video on how to install before it was delivered. Delivery was on time as expected by Amazon. The box was tiny, which surprised me, but everything was inside. Adhesion was better than I had read in some reviews, I had no issue there. The application itself was straightforward, and I’m a clutz around the house!! I am slightly disappointed with the brightness of the LEDs but in saying that it is ample for what I need it for. The app control is easy to use and gives the product a bit of finesse.
All in all, I’m pleased with the purchase. The price is very appealing, and it does exactly as it says on the tin. Well done govee another quality product.
The good: Great adhesion. Great functionality. Great app. Great range and manipulation of colour range is possible.
The bad: Claiming that it is suitable for TV’s up to 55″ is simply not true. The maximum TV this should be marketed for, is 42″.
I got it for my 55″ TV and it simply looks lost.
Overall, it really is a great product, but only for TV’s up to 42″ or less. The brightness is underwhelming as many have pointed out. If it’s the only light source in the room, then it’s fine. If there’s a lamp on or any other light source, the LED strip is instantly washed out and unnoticeable.
Along with app, it comes with fixed remote control to switch the lights ON/Off , Control the Brightness or to change the colours. It comes in 4x 50cm strips with flexible connectors to join the corners to avoid any bends.
I Love the ease of use to control the lights from the comfort of my sofa by using phone app.
These LEDs have created nice atmosphere in the Living room. Highly Recommended !!!
