As a short person (5ft) I can fully appreciate the benefits of a having a good 2 step stool around the house. I was looking for a wooden step stool to use with new oak built in wardrobe that could fold away and be put inside the wardrobe for as & when needed. Wanted something nicer to look in keeping with the wardrobe then the bog standard silver or white tube metal c.20 step stools out there that do a great job. After lots hunting online and rejecting wooden step stools for c. 200 – 300!!!! as not something I could ever justify spending on a step stool I came across this product on amazon which entirely fits the bill. Good height with 2 steps, study design, rubber grip feet, flat step at top decent size to feel safe and stable despite lack of handle often found on this sort of product, folds to a very narrow width and the height when folded up is not excessive. Measurements on pictures in product description accurate and very useful. There is a nack to unfolding it to ensure it enables the safety latch to work (hence the 4 stars for this feature) but the instructions were clear as to how to do this. The only downside (hence the overall 4 stars not 5 stars) is that its entirely a step stool made of metal and not wood! The picture can be misleading so wanted to put up a review to ensure other people didn’t get caught out like me. There is a wooden paint/sticker effect put on top of what is a decent metal step stool. To be fair to seller the mistake was mine as I should have more thoroughly read the description and realised the drop in price tag from hundreds of pounds to c.40 was for a reason. I have not returned this product as I actually really like it. As I said its a good step stool and ticks all the boxes I was looking for bar one. Whilst the typical c.20 tube metal step stools out there do just as good a job as this and for half the money, this is more aesthetically pleasing to the eye, although clearing not wood upon seeing it in person. Would happily recommend buying it, just be sure you know what it is your are paying for. or not paying for in this case.
