It's a shovel
It digs, it fills a barrow, it mixes things.
It’s light, ergonomic and you can lean on it like the best council worker – just kidding.
Worth the money rot proof handle.

Very sturdy
This product might be a little more expensive than similar brands but really worth spending a bit more on. Very robust and worth every penny. This will likely last a lifetime.
Very strong and well made
I have used and broken or bent plenty of cheap spades in the past. I bought this spade to dig out tree and large shrub roots and it worked very well.
Light enough to use for long periods but heavy and sharp enough to cut through roots as well.
Very strong spade and I used a lot of force when levering out the roots with no bending or adverse affects at all.
Not the cheapest spade but you get what you pay for and cheap spades just aren’t worth it in the long run.
Absolutely indestructible
Great garden shovel. Lives up to the name of being sturdy and practically in breakable.
Husband has used it to renovate garden and that includes digging up huge deep rooted hedges and and removing a full lawn. Shovel still solid and good as new. Heavy but that’s what you want. 100% recommended.

Replaced a cheaper one which broke at the handle to blade connection. This has been used in more arduous conditions and eats it.

Good shovel
This shovel is light weight and I haven’t broke it get so all good. Good quality and everyone on site know this is my shovel
I got this for it’s toughness and precision for digging out a large root. This made exposing all the roots easy and my wife sawed through them and it left the ground with ease. Some have said it is heavy – I’m 60 years old – the weight seems ok if you take into account it’s strength

Robust constructio
Robust construction. Built like their excavators! Should last a lifetime. Excellent for narrow trenches, therefore less time to excavate, than with a conventional spade, and less material to use in reinstatement.
This is a heavy, well made, spade which is exactly what you would expect from JCB. If you want a lighter spade you need to look at cheaper products. My husband is more than happy with this spade, which undoubtedly will last a long time.
They have to be strong
Have not tried it out yet as job has been put back will let you know in due course.

Great tool for digging out established tree roots
Used to remove large tree roots from a garden border – excellent tool – did the job!
