Used a lot of different baby monitors and this is by far the best we’ve used. Perfect quality picture and excellent night vision. Worth the little bit extra money.

After much research as every new parent would probably do for this gadget we finally decided to go for this one. We have been using it for 1 year now. Trying it both on wifi, going on vacation, etc. I could say that I have compared it to our friend’s models and this one is way better in terms of quality and extras. At home, we are using the app sometimes and it works great as well. When we were on vacation we tested the range of the monitor going out of our room and going three/four rooms away at our hotel – basically it wasn’t the best as it was hard to catch the signal but I can’t complain as we got it.
Overall, I would recommend this product!

The camera is great in every way, we have a Motorola too and it beats it in every department. But when you get to move the camera via the parent unit or the app, it takes so long and they’re clumsy movements.
Other than that, it’s the best camera I’ve used. I’m going to buy one for my friend too.

Got this for some friends and they are really happy with it. Night vision quality and sound are both excellent!

Setup was easy including adding a second camera. Easy to use and everything works well enough. The VOX feature could be better, very sensitive to back ground noise, still useful though. Night vision works well and we can talk to our baby easily without getting out of bed. The second camera had a dead battery so had to use Kodak customer support, quick response and they got a replacement to me really quickly. Really impressed by that and the new camera works great. Will happily buy more products from the range.

I’m impressed with the picture quality, it is super clear! I love the VOX function. You can also switch off the camera light for a darker room during the night. I highly recommend this baby monitor.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThis is a great camera with a lot of really cool features – the main thing is that the picture quality is superb both on the screen and when accessed through the app. It’s really clear and reliable both during the day and at night when the night vision kicks in so you can still clearly see your baby.
The two way talk function is great for talking to the baby, or giving instructions to your partner when they’re in the room!
The battery life is great when not plugged into the mains and easy to recharge – it gives great peace of mind when you’re in a different room to your child and it’s fun to move the camera around with the tilt; pan and zoom functions.

    I love this camera.
Night vision is great. A slight delay in the baby crying and it coming through on the camera (I can here him a second before the camera will pick it up).
Portable as both camera and handheld are chargeable! Easy to set up and feels safe to have on my phone as you need to grant access to other people for them to see it.

Great product and very easy to use.
We did have a slight issue with the monitor a few months in, and l have to say that the assistance we received from Faizal in Customer Support was second to none, which is certainly extremely refreshing in this day and age! The item was replaced free of charge and I would have no hesitation recommending both the product and the great care and support we received from their after sales which was excellent!

Having unsuccessfully tried 2 Motorola units, I thought I’d give this one a try based on the feedback I’d read (the Motorola’s did read better). The only ‘user’ issue that I’d read about was the setup of this system as you need to keep both camera & base unit close to the hub of the wifi network you are setting it up on.

Once connected it’s been a dream to have & use. The app is great & movement alerts work accurately and fast (to your phone app) no delays even when away from the house (assuming you’re connected to your phone network)

The base unit is simple and easy to use offering basic functionality that is more than adequate for the job.

It was third time lucky for us

I really like this, but I wish it had a better battery life. It also drives me nuts trying to install firmware every day!

Apart from that it’s a very good system. It has a crystal clear picture and I really like that you can move the camera up and down remotely and use your phone too.

All being said I would buy again.

Works functionally very well, battery life excellent, easy to use, video play ack is good and smart app works well. The device is quite slow though and the menu display is horrific, deffo need to update it as it looks like it was designed in 1996. Also why not a clickwheel rather than 4 large direction buttons. We also have a bit of fluff stuck under the screen which i cant get rid of which is quite annoying

    It’s great, exactly
The picture quality is spot on during the day and night. Some really cool features include seeing the temperature of the room the camera is in. Playing calming sounds through the speaker is great, our daughter likes sound 3 which I believe mimics the heartbeat sound from inside the womb.
With the ability to wall mount the camera is fantastic, we have ours set up looking over the cot. There is also a zoom option which allow you to stay zoomed in even while moving the camera about and after powering off.
The battery life on the parent unit is great and can last a whole night depending on what screen brightness you are using. The camera battery life is a little less which sucks a bit but we just keep it plugged in most of the time.
The sound quality is great and loud, there is also different settings to drown out while noise in louder environments.

    Overall a spot on product!

Edit: Changed from 2 star to 4 star after years of use and uodates the connection stability is now MUCH better.

Decent enough picture quality (though low framerate). The reason I’m giving it such a low rating is the shockingly inconsistent connection. Sometimes it will connect to the monitor, sometimes not. Sometimes it will say WiFi connection strength 80% and still just not connect to my phone for hours at a time. I’m talking with camera, monitor, phone and WiFi router all in the same room…

The purpose of then product is to get peace of mind knowing you can check in your little one. This product fails at that.

I have rated highly because it is a great product AND our first one had a fault, however the lady I spoke to was super helpful and had another one delivered immediately and the faulty one collected. She was really understanding and I was super impressed with the service. Product itself is unreal in regards to picture quality and sound. Worth the money for sure.

This is a fab baby monitor. We brought this to use for our child who has health issues and it’s perfect for giving us the peace of mind that we can see instantly if she needs us. It has a very clear monitor as well as being able to view it on your mobile which is ideal when you need to constantly be able to see the screen. The picture quality is great on both day and night modes and you can manually move the camera angles from the monitor or app to keep the view in the right place. The sound and motion alerts work great and can be adjusted for sensitivity.
We also like that we can add another camera and view it on a split screen which we will be doing.
There’s lots of other features like lullabies, temperature and humidity which we don’t use really as well as a talk back option which works well but does a little delay at times.
All in all this is a great monitor and we’re really pleased.

    Updated 02/06/2020:
After troubleshooting with Kodak Support the nightvision mode bug has now been resolved with another new firmware update.
All bugs are now resolved that i’m aware of so i’m upping the Rating from 3 to 4 stars. There is still room for improvements but it’s now the best baby monitor we’ve used and one i’d recommend.

    ===================
The picture quality in daylight is fine, when it goes to night vision it’s hit and miss. This is definitely designed to be attached to the ceiling above the bed as when the camera is aimed at it’s lowest point the picture quality suffers, like it’s blocking the IR light – raised this with Kodak support and they suggested I had manually moved the camera with my hands beyond it’s operating area – I hadn’t and we’re continuing to investigate.
Parent Unit is good, nice size display, could be better with a sturdier stand and the volume buttons on the side are a bit of a pain, why they didn’t default the arrows to volume like most units I don’t know. But when pressing the volume buttons it’s easy to press the unit’s side buttons which is annoying.
Some firmware issues, when we entered BST, if the monitor was connected to the internet via WiFi it would cause a bootloop randomly. The issued a firmware fix for this a week or two after. That fixed the bootloop issues but seems to have introduced other bugs such as Automatic Nightmode not work, camera will come on and still think its day light so doesn’t activate the IR sensor and you can’t see a thing. Force the camera to look at a light and it then realises and switches when it goes back to dark – investigating this with Kodak support too.
Documentation on the product isn’t great, there are multiple items in the Settings that aren’t mentioned anywhere so you don’t know if you need to change them or not.
We had a BT Monitor before this and that kept losing connectivity with the camera, at like 2am…. The Kodak has maintained it’s connection throughout use so that’s good.
The max range is obviously exaggerated but with the Direct Connection i got maybe 15meters from the camera with intermittent connectivity

We’ve had a BT 7500 for about 4 years now, we were bought a second cheap chinese camera for our second arrival which was rubbish lasted just over a year. Bought this camera and it is way better than the BT, so much so we are considering buying another add on camera to replace the BT.

This is probably the best camera/monitor combo on the market. The picture quality is superb, and the phone app works well.
We did have an issue when the daylight savings time change caused disconnection issues. When the manufacturer eventually got back to us, they sent a fix. Watch out for this – it probably shouldn’t have come to market with this bug, but it is solveable.

Fantastic baby monitor, picture quality is really good! People need to be aware that the camera has a protective plastic film on it out of the box which if you don’t take off affects the picture quality. App works really well, would highly recommend.

I’ve been researching baby cameras for a while – our little one is now 4 months old. We wanted one that offered both a parent monitor and app access and there didn’t seem to be many on the market with both that had decent reviews.

I was very impressed by how well it was packaged – very professionally with easy to read setup instructions. Very easy to install the battery in the parent monitor – just a case of slipping the back panel off and popping it in.

The parent monitor is plug and play. Once both the camera and monitor are turned on they automatically connected. Setting up the app was very easy too. Simple and easy to follow instructions in the app screen guiding me through the setup.

Overall a fantastic product and have no hesitation to give 5 stars! I would highly recommend this to any and everyone. noises, it doesn’t blast out loudly on the parent monitor. When the noise increases and baby starts crying it increases the volume automatically to notify us – very helpful feature.

The image quality is very good and it automatically changes between night and day mode dependent on the light in the room. You can also manually specify night and day times in the app and on the parent monitor.

The other point which made us buy this model is that you can add more cameras going forward and can view them in split-screen mode at the same time.

In the app, you can fully control the camera as with the monitor. It’s possible to move the camera around by adjusting the pan and tilt and rotation. Also, we’ve set up movement notifications so when baby starts to move I get a notification on my phone. The same goes for noise notifications. With movement, it records a short 30-second video which is great! These are stored for free on the Kodak cloud for 24 hours. You can pay to keep them for longer, or just put a little micro SD card in the camera to keep them locally instead.

Overall a fantastic product and have no hesitation to give 5 stars! I would highly recommend this to any and everyone.

After a bit of research we decided on this camera over the BT. Easy to set up, we’ve had to reset the camera up a few times when travelling to different place. Best to be done before starting any bedtime prep as the parings commands can be quite loud.

Video quality is great, the audio choices are limited but we find option 3 gets our daughter settled.

Only wish the cameras background sensitivity settings would be remembers, you get a lot of background fuzz but this can be muted by adjusting camera settings on the app after its set up.

We get some connection issues but thinking this is down to her WiFi. I wouldn’t say the state range of the monitor is true, unless you have industrial grade WiFi strength.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMy poor husband must have looked at about 500 baby monitors/cameras etc before choosing this one. We have 2 children and were desperate to find a video monitor that would allow us to see both children at the same time (we had to buy an additional camera for this). So far so good. We’ve attached them directly above their cot/cot bed.

Initially, the split screen didn’t work but my husband updated the firmware and it’s now all fine.

It’s expensive but it’s been so much less stressful being able to see and hear them so easily.

You can also talk through it which my husband likes to do to scare me occasionally when I’m in the children’s rooms. So be warned!

Would recommend. My children are 2yrs 10 mths and 6 mths.

Fantastic baby monitor. Would highlight that it’s definitely best to fix to a wall above the cot as the tilt angle on the camera is slightly restricted if placed upright on a surface higher. But two screws in a wall shouldn’t be an issue! Picture quality and functionality is awesome. Especially for the reasonable price. Haven’t even tried the WiFi/app features yet!

Connection can be flimsy (although you have 3 options; base to parent unit direct, base to parent unit through WiFi or Auto which chooses one of the previous 2 based on connection stability) and the UI is not easy to navigate in any way. But overall quite good I’d say after about 3 month of use.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBest camera for multi rooms.

You can easily attatch another camera and have up to 4 on the same parent unit. it has a mode which lets you cycle through cameras every few seconds which is what you want if you need to watch more than one room. It also has the option to split screen but only plays the sound from the highlighted camera – so useless. Manually changing cameras is clunky and difficult to do.

Decent picture quality for a baby monitor. Parent unit is a good size.

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersI work abroad and wanted to be able to watch my baby when I missed her. Yes there are apps for that but it’s nice to be able to feel like you are there when you can’t be. This can connect by app across borders, into a country currently under blockade and with restrictions on video calling apps including the most popular and easy to acquire ones. You can control the camera to move as you wish with very little time delay and communicate both ways through the app. I love that it allows me to feel like I am home when I can’t be and let me have my blind little stare at my beautiful baby when I feel like it. It also takes readings of the room temperature, and has a noise and movement monitor, and the supplied monitoring station works perfectly and easily. It was easy to set up, and we did that via a video calling app which usually makes things more difficult but it was all working within minutes. We love i

Great product. New update means you can have the parent unit on the same wifi network as the camera meaning you get signal wherever you have wifi signal. Using wifi extenders or a wired network with access points means you have virtually unlimited range.

Golden Review Award: 34 From Our UsersWe have newborn and a toddler, sleeping on the same floor but different rooms. To keep an eye on baby and make sure I know when my toddler wanders into her room for a visit, I researched all baby cameras and was considering to get the Motorola MBP855C or Vtech VM5261. I bought the Vtech and returned it a day later. The picture quality and ease of use was terrible. I finally found this Kodak, interestingly enough it did not come up on Google if you just search “best baby monitors”. Anyway, I read the reviews and the picture quality sold it to me.
I have to say, I am more than happy and so excited to use this camera. The picture quality is amazing, both in the day and during night. The camera is very responsive and the delay to the monitor is minimal if not even non existent at times. The melodies you can play for baby are good quality and the volume for it can be controlled. My favourite sound is the heartbeat, it is very realistic!
The pan, zoom and tilt function is excellent, you get a pretty good view of everything.
Set up was easy and took me only a few minutes. You don’t need a manual as it is pretty self explanatory. I also downloaded the app which is easy to use.
The Thermometer is accurate enough, less than half a degree out compared to the GroEgg and less than a degree out compared to the Philips Avent thermometer.
The camera a d monitor look stylish, camera is not too big and the monitor is big and the picture sharp and detailed.
I would definitely recommend the Kodak C525 and I will be buying a second camera to set up in my toddler’s room.
Very happy with my purchase, especially for this price!
