Great for locking my Brompton on a busy train or long train journey without feeling the need to keep an eye on it. Easily locks to the luggage rack. Easy to wear while riding. Strong and flexible.

Added security but cumbersome to manage. Either wear it or sling it in your back as in a backpack

This is a great lock for security purposes. I wear just in my hips and to be honest although it’s chunky you don’t notice it around you (unless of course you buy a smaller version!!) The reason I’ve given 4 stars instead of 5 is because I’m still struggling with the flexibility in locking up!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve found this a very good bike lock. It’s silver rated and feels heavy duty so only a sustained attack should beat it – I only tend to lock up my bike when popping into shops so I’m satisfied with the safety it provides.

A cool feature is that it can either be mounted onto your bike with the supplied velcro fasteners or can be worn around your waist like a belt! I’m between 32-34″ waist and found it comfortable to wear.

It comes supplied with two keys and the keys are only needed for opening – to lock just simply push the two ends together, no key required. If you have more than one lock they can be daisy chained together to make a bigger lock which is another smart feature.

The lock itself it’s bendable so it allows you to fasten your bike onto things traditional fixed locks wont allow – this gives you a wider variety of choice of where to leave your bike and pretty much anything becomes an anchor point.

I went for the green colour and it really stands out – I like this because the lock looks substantial and even the appearance alone should put off a would be thief. Although it’s substantial its not super heavy but still provides the same safety rating as heavier locks.

Overall I really like it and if you have a valuable bike then 110 is a reasonable price to pay for its security – especially when the product is so versatile. Try buying a heavy chain link lock and transporting that around with you – you wouldn’t do it. This gives you excellent security and is super easy to take with you.

The first thing you notice when you open this is it’s weight, it is fairly heavy for what looks like a belt. The second thing you notice is the design, it just isnt like any other bike lock that i have seen. It really is a hefty piece that sings quality in manufacture and in design.

This is a great product. Top quality at a decent price. Exactly what you want when it comes to security for your bike.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersThis is a silver rated lock, so while not really intended as a ‘you can’t steal this’ level of security it is certainly good enough for anything up that. It’s a very interesting design, and very flexible in how you can use it.

Transporting it is the tricky part. You can wear it comfortably around your waist, and there is a clever spacer on the locking part that allows you to click it closed without actually locking it around your middle. I’m a 32″ waist, and the 100 lock is very comfortable to wear this way for me. It’s not tight and I could pull it down over my legs if I needed to, but it feels secure and won’t fall off. It’s fairly heavy, but surprisingly unnoticeable carrying it this way, and very handy if you don’t have a bag. It’s brightly coloured, but only sort-off reflective. The lock is supplied with a couple of velcro straps so you can carry the lock in the main triangle of your frame, but it doesn’t fit in my small frame. The lock doesn’t roll up or fold like you might imagine, so putting it in a bag or a rack is not very practical.

In use, it’s really good. It’s long enough to get around things like trees or street lamps that traditional d-locks can reach, and there’s plenty of space to get your front wheel in the lock as well. For bikes like tandems, trikes, or recumbents the extra length and flexibility makes life so much easier when you’re locking up. You can even ‘daisy-chain’ multiple locks together if you’re so inclined.

The lock clicks closed without the key (two supplied) and it’s easy and smooth to unlock. Be prepared for spring back though, and the heavy ‘buckle’ can threaten paintwork. There’s a cover to the keyhole to keep weather out. The ribbon shape makes is quite easy to thread through spokes and around your fixed object too.

I really like this lock. It’s imaginative and practical and easy to use. I wouldn’t trust it in a high-risk area (nor any silver rated lock) but for day to day use in safe neighbourhoods its ideal.

(If you found this review useful, I’d love it if you let me know with a click below – thanks!)
