Love this, sleep mode is odd coz it goes up and down, so I just use it on low mode and that works great for me, absolute life saver, very quiet but Tis a good white noise at night. Really like this.

I LOVE the modern design and as soon as the box arrived I could tell it was a good size and a good quality robust item

A DODDLE to put together and fit the battery in remote

EASY to use as I was WORRIED when it arrived as I am a single Grandmother who is NOT good with all modern technology etc on holiday with my Autistic Grandson right now in a BEAUTIFUL barn for two but with NO fan and I DO NEED one for HOME in this heatwave so it is a good and much needed buy anyway and I was concerned maybe the NOISE would be too much for my Grandson who is noise sensitive but it is NOT too noisy even on the highest setting which we need it on to keep this barn which sits in full sun COOL 🙂

VERY pleased and my only SMALL gripes are it is a little unstable AND for some reason the fan area is very narrow BUT it does then ‘concentrate’ the flow of air out so I assume this is why they did it ie designed it that way as it makes the flow more powerful 🙂 🙂

Its a bit wobbly because of its height and the turntable it sits on, on top of the stand. If anything its a little top heavy, but as long as you don’t touch it when its not working, it doesn’t wobble about to much. Otherwise when its working, its quiet and powerful, the medium level is slightly louder but it is still powerful and it works really well. The height has alot to do with it, it reaches everywhere in the home, taller than most and the fan starts blowing from approx 12″ from the ground to the top.
The remote control is an added bonus, it works really well and saves you having to move about too much in this heatwave.
I’m glad I got it, I just hope it will last as long as my last one did, for 5 yrs.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI was fed up with a tall stick with a round dinner plate on top. Basically tall fans never look right where ever they stand. So I looked at these style of fans & looking & reading up & also the features & price I thought I would try this NETTA fan. It’s brilliant, it’s so quiet & with this heat the night time mode is superb. Also the remote is a bonus as you don’t have to keep getting up to operate it, lazy I know but still it’s that good so I brought another so I have one in living room & one in my bedroom. Perfect & I would highly recommend that you try & you will see what I’m talking about.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersLove this fan so got another.
Perfect for hot days. Also ideal if you have pets and you need to go to work. I set them to auto and at 25oC they turn themselves on (and off again when the temp goes back below this).
Makes me feel better when I can’t get home to them.
The noise isn’t noticeable on the low setting and can be slept through and it’s is still powerful enough to cool me on hot nights.
The higher setting can be slightly annoying at times when watching tv etc.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve had this fan for a few months now and overall I’m quite impressed with it. it’s not too noisy compared to some other fans I’ve had, and the remote control feature is excellent. I mainly bought it because it said it was quiet, and for the different modes that it has . but found in every day usage I just use a standard mode as the sleep mode wasn’t very effective, as it keeps going loud then quiet, loud then quiet, which isn’t very conducive to sleep, so I just keep it on the steady output and this is nice and quiet and keeps me a cool when I’m trying to sleep. above all it’s a very good fan and well worth the money.

Quiet and works really well. Seems a bit wobbly but it’s quite tall compared to the side of the base. Would need a safe space if you have croutch goblins that are inquisitive. However had no issues and would recommend.

This is a great tower fan, I haven’t played with the settings too much but it has a nice level of blowage.

I really like this. Shiny black, smart looking. Easy to use with the remote. I find it quiet on the first setting and that’s enough cooling for me. The more powerful settings are louder but no more than my last blade fan. All in all I’m happy with my decision and would by another if these when needed.

This is a fantastic tower fan!! There are just 2 issues with it which prevent me from scoring it 5/5. The base isn’t as secure as you’d like it to be, despite me redoing the assembly twice, and that leaves the fan quite wobbly. The other issue is the noise level, especially on the lowest setting. It definitely isn’t a quiet fan. BUT, these aren’t huge issues to me, just highlighting them for those who find this information important.

I suffer from badly the heat, even during winter, because of medication. It never used to bother me one bit, but it has done for the last decade, and so I’ve gone through a lot of fans. Small fans, tower fans, oscillating fans, wireless fans, tried loads. In terms of tower fans, THIS IS MY FAVOURITE BY FAR, and overall it’s in the top 3!! If you’re purely focusing on the cooling effect (all I’m really bothered about), then this fan is perfect. It is a powerful fan, and unlike a lot of other fans I’ve had, the different levels actually make a difference. The remote control is great, and it has a very useful neon lit temperature display. Overall, I love the fan, and not only would I recommend buying this, I’ll be purchasing more for other rooms throughout the home!! Absolutely great!!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis machine is amazing. With the recent 30 degrees frying the country, my living room was like a furnace. NETTA thankfully did the trick. At the lowest power, fifteen feet away ‘she’ kept me cool. At mid-power she kept me cooler and managed to turn the pages of a book on the coffee table. I never switched it to full power because it there was no need.
Beautifully designed and with a digital read-out this surely must be the best on the market. I showed it to a neighbour who immediately ordered one and I must admit I played a trick on him, although there was no need to, to enable sales. Into my living room he comes, in 30 degrees, and there I am sitting facing NETTA wearing a top coat.
‘I see NETTA is a great success,” he smiled.
‘You can say that again Tommy, no contest!

This unit is surprisingly quiet. The display (which is quite bright) auto switches off after 60 seconds. Using the auto setting let’s unit switch on/off at 25 degrees so could be left to keep a room cool. Awesome value and in my case it arrived 4 days earlier than estimated. Some assembly of the base with just three thumbscrews.

Was easy to assemble however, the foot of the tower is a bit flimsy and the tower wobbles when on a high speed. Tried to resolve but it makes no difference to the surface it’s on as the wobble comes from the connection joint from tower to foot. That said it’s not a big issue.
The sleep mode is actually quite loud and I am slightly deaf! As long as you have it on the lowest blow, then it’s pretty quiet.
On a positive note..Nice touch to have a remote control. The appliance is very smart looking and being tall, rises above your mattress in bed for cool air to reach you. Foremost, this tower is very powerful and creates lovely cool breezes, unlike some that just circulates the hot air. It has an ion mode that helps with dust and allergies.
Apart from the wobble and the actual sleep mode, not very quiet, this is a nice tower fan and I would still recommend

When I bought my last fan, I paid about 21 for it. I did love it, but it can get loud, and the vents are small. I had to put it on a nightstand so I could feel it. When I saw this fan, I read so many reviews and decided to get it. I do not regret getting this fan; It is quiet, it’s tall, and the vents are big. I can really feel this across the room, and it doesn’t take long for it to cool down a room. The remote is easy to use, the display does turn off after about 30 sec, and it’s quiet. I work from home, and I couldn’t use the other fan because it’s loud. Now that I have this fan, I can use it while working, and the customers will never know. I wish I read the reviews before I got the first fan, and sometimes, cheaper is not always an option when you want certain features/specs/etc. in a product. This is worth the extra cost. My husband and I really love this fan, and we highly recommend this fan.

Golden Review Award: 43 From Our UsersThe main thing I assume prospective purchasers of this are interested in is what the fan is like as a fan.

This is better than any ‘traditional’ fan I’ve ever owned. It is not really quiet but the sound it makes is smooth and even and sounds OK, even on the lowest setting it is more audible than my old fan, but boy does it blow! I sit about 10 feet away from where I placed mine in the corner.

If set on the lowest fan speed it hits me with a pretty impressive wave of air where I set which is about 10 feet away. I’ve tried standing a further five feet from it on minimum, and I can still feel it cooling me. But if I put it on maximum and stand in the opposite corner of my 20 foot living room, effectively 22″ away from the fan, I can still feel a breeze.

I can honestly say that I can see me never having to use it on any higher setting than minimum, certainly medium.

The air blows out of this in a column of air through vents which begin about 7″ from the floor and which stops at 6″ from the top of the tower, so basically 3′ off the floor. Even sitting on my couch it still hits me.

The buttons on the top from left to right are: Oscillation (OSC), Auto 25c, Timer, Mode, Speed and Power.

    OSC
Oscillation obviously sets the tower to oscillate back and forth over a 65 arc, you will simply have to move this around in order to get it to cover the area you want it to cool. The default setting for this is off, and the fan reverts to this setting after you turn it off even if you had it on.

    AUTO 25c
This temperature is pre-set at 25c by default. Unfortunately neither can it be adjusted to automatically turn the fan on at a temperature that the user chooses – which is what I thought it did before I bought it. If you’ve chosen to use the fan in the timer mode, once the room temperature reaches 25c it will turn on. But it is NOT accurate, which in the UK is an advantage as when it does automatically start at its 25c, it is really between 22.7c and 23.4c on my accurate room thermometer

Pressing the ‘timer’ button flashes ‘auto’ in the display and (if it’s alreaddy running) it turns itself off waiting for the temperature to reach 25c before activating. Also in Auto mode when it starts nothing shows on the display.

    TIMER
Each press of the button increases the time by 0.5, half an hour. This indication replaces the area where the temperature is normally displayed. You can increase the time only until reaches the maximum of 8.0 hours. One more press sets it to 0.0 and after a few seconds the temperature will be re-displayed in its place.

    MODE
Standard (when the display is showing a fan) is the basic function of the fan, a simple and constant airflow through the vests at the power you set. This is the default setting that the fan reverts to after you turn it off.

Natural (when the display is showing tree and breeze lines) now this is an interesting one in itself. I think it is meant to simulate being outside where a breeze is not a constant and unchanging thing. In this setting it will slow the air down, speed it up, even stop it, seemingly at random, it will alter the length of time that it blows air in these different states too. It’s not really my cup of tea but that is what it does, it basically tries to emulate being outdoors. In this mode you will see the fan-speed bar graph rising and falling as it changes speeds from off to normal, medium and high, at random.

Sleep (when the display is showing a sleepy emoji) I’ve no idea what the sleep really does at all, it seems to be a milder, less active version of the ‘natural’ setting. Sleep alters the fan speed now and again from slow to high but never turns the fan off as ‘natural’ does. As far as I can tell that is all it does, to be honest all these changed would hinder my ability to sleep.

    SPEED
Pretty simple, three speeds where each press of the button increases it, accompanied by more (and taller) bars being added to the graph in the display. The default setting for this is minimum, and the fan reverts to this setting after you turn it off even if you had it on a higher setting.

    THE DISPLAY
You cannot turn the display off yourself but it does turn off by itself, and it does so after a minute of using any of the buttons (inactivity). It will turn on again when you press any button to change a setting but will then eventually turn itself off. When you turn the power off the temperature indication will stay there for a minute before going off.

A note on the operation (wake up/displaybuttons) of this tower fan. If the display is off (as it will do after a minute of no button being pressed), the first press of any button will wake it, then you will need to press the button again to make adjustments. For example to turn the fan off when the display is dark you will need to press the ‘power’ button once, it will beep, and then press it again to turn off the fan. Same for all the function buttons.

One issue as indicated previously. Once you turn it off (stop), if you had it set on oscillate, or any other fan speed than low, or any other mode than standard, it will not remember what setting these three options were set to when you switched it off, so when you start it again it will be on normal speed, standard mode and oscillate will be off. You’ll have to set these to your preference again – each time you start it.

Just one more quick observation. This fan, although it cools me (I prefer it pointing directly at me on hot days), it will not cool the room at all. Two nights ago it was 20.5c here at 19:00 so I put the fan on oscillate and left it there until I went to bed sometime after midnight. The ambient temperature was exactly the same as it was at 19:00. I was nice and cool because of the cooling effect moving air has on skin, but the room – still the same. So please do not buy this if you want it for cooling a space as that it not what it does.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersThis review is about the Netta 36 inch tower fan.

Having owned cheaper and more expensive fans I think this is a good product for the money I paid for it, 55. It has 3 speeds, 3 modes as well as a timer, automatic on/off and oscillation. It’s mostly made of piano black plastic – which is quite a good thing in terms of cleaning and durability; it’s light so easy to move around and the remote control is satisfactory quality. The level of noise is low but if you want it to push air, any fan is going to make noise.

Now for some negatives. Firstly, although the whole thing is 36 inches tall, the actual fan section only goes as high as about 31 inches/78 cm which could be quite important for your use case. The stand is also made of plastic in two halves that clip together and held onto the fan by 3 wing head bolts. It’s a tiny bit fiddly and more wobbly than I expected but as long as you aren’t moving it around it seems stable enough. I do think that at this price point they could have made it more rigid and greatly enhanced the perception of quality. On the remote the on/off doubles as the speed selector so you must cycle through all the speeds to get to off. My final point is that whenever you press a button on the fan or on the remote there is a loud beep that you cannot turn off, which isn’t so great if you want to use this in a bedroom.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThis fan is lovely on the main setting- nice and powerful and I found the temperature reading to be really useful. It also has an auto on function which will activate the fan when the room temp hits 25- but as my living room is constantly at 28 during the summer, that would mean it was on all the time, so I haven’t used it. I don’t like the ‘sleep’ and ‘natural wind’ functions which both seem to do the same thing- vary the motor speed, so instead of a constant whir noise you get an oscillating, up and down whirring which I find rather irritating. I suppose there’s not much they can do about the fan noise at different speeds, though. I also haven’t used the ion function because I don’t know what it does- there’s nothing in the instructions or on this page whatsoever about what the ‘ion’ button is for! However, the remote control is very useful, I can adjust it without having to get up.

I’ve marked it down from 5* for 2 reasons: firstly, the ‘ion’ button- I’d like an explanation but there isn’t one. Secondly, the beeping! It makes a very loud beep indeed when you turn it on and change the settings- so if you’re next to a sleeping person you don’t want to wake, or if you have neighbours on all sides like me, you can’t really adjust it past midnight!

There is a bright blue display screen which may cause issues to people who have very dark bedrooms, but I tend to leave the hall light on anyway so it doesn’t make a difference to me.

I was attracted to this because it was taller than many fans in this price range, slightly more powerful, that it showed the room temperature and that it was aesthetically pleasing with the lovely blue text. It was very easy to put the base on it and so easy to use. It puts out a lovely breeze. This product didn’t have any reviews, but it looked fantastic and I am so pleased with it!
