For Android, pair it in Android mode, 1st, use our mapping app, or 2nd rename “Xbox Wireless Controller” by Shaks app, reboot & pair. iPhone pair it in iOS mode, it should work. “Tutorial” stage no supporting but main game works perfectly.

This is due to mode miss-match. Check it first on the left side. Once corrected, delete BT paired log on your device. Press BT pair key for 6 sec, pair again. S5 auto re-pair max. to device in each OS (4 modes). If chang to new OS, change mode first.
How do I connect my Fire Stick, FireTV and Chromecast? Also, iOS/iPad and Mac PC, Apple TV?

Sometimes, controller response is slow, lag, delay on both Android and iOS. How do I fix it?
This may be due to overload in BT data load, then clean cache data, stop background applications. Or due to RF interference, set your Wifi AP into 5Ghz band or other channel. Or it can be a setting value of a certain game. If no solved, leave Q.
Geshin impact, Pubg mobile mapping feature doesn’t work on my Galaxy Z Flip or Fold. How should I do?
Upgrade your OS higher V11. Install Shaks Gamehub app on Galaxy, and run it, do download ‘pre-set mapping” data file, play. Refer to manual. You can make your own mapping data and share it with your friend via SNS. Check our list of game compatible.
Where I can’t use Shaks Mapping feature? Not possible to use it iPhone or my Windows PC?
Only with Android OS device. iOS no allow any mapping app by his policy. Windows is same, but each game setting-key re-assignment program. In Steam game, you can edit key mapping in the controller setting menu, or try to use x360ce,Xpadder program.

Why is haptic is not working?
Check your game menu,Haptic on/off set. Reset “on→ off→ on”,can solve. Android OS no support Haptic. So, any service such as Geforce or X-cloud is not supporting. If battery is too low, haptic motor can not be run. Check connection is in windows.
Wired connection made, but there is driver error message.
The data connection is not made correctly. Power off, connect USB cable to PC first, and while pressing “BT pairing button”, connect the cable to S5. Then, while booting, it will connect PC. Once all LED power off, it is successfully connected.

El control es muy bueno, lo uso para jugar COD Mobil, Diablo Inmortal, Fornite, es como si usars un mando de Xbox, el celular que yo uso mide 16.8 cm y queda perfecto, considero que hasta uno de 17 cm de largo cabra sin problemas

Funciona muy bien con Gamepass, es cmodo y no pesa mucho. La batera dura bastante. Tiene dos crucetas para elegir.
Funciona genial para jugar con el mvil, tengo un z fol 3 y entra genial con funda, adems jugando a Google Stadia funciona incluso la vibracin. Tambin puedes remapear los botones. Precio calidad excelente.

Good controller have used with Windows laptop and my android phone, only annoying thing is you need to download an app to use on both devices.

La configuration via Bluetooth s’est faite trs facilement sur Samsung Galaxy Z fold 3, le mobile totalement ouvert rentre en la manette sans problme. L’application Shaks fonctionne trs bien. Le son est puissant sur le mobile pour jouer par exemple Forza Horizon 5 sur le cloud xbox. Les boutons d’acclration pour jouer Forza sont un peu diffrents de la manette xbox serie X/S ou de la One mais avec un peu d’entranement on joue sans s’en soucier aprs. Franchement, je suis satisfait du rsultat en plus avec mes buds Samsung le son est gnial.
Le seul reproche que je peux faire est la qualit plastique de la manette qui me semble bien fragile pour le prix. Je m’attendais un support bien plus rigide. Sinon c’est le top
I’ve tried a few of these telescoping controllers with android phones. This is one of the better ones on the market. The bluetooth connection is solid, and it fits a variety of phones quite well. It also comes with a nice case. I would be nice if it came with the option to plug it into type C connectors which can be done on one of the competitors. Controls are pretty solid. Worth it if you are trying to make an android phone into a portable console.

I picked this up to use on Chromebooks with “Cloud Gaming” but I also tested it on my phone. While I am used to the “xbox way” of key layout; this controller is quite good. Good range on the analog sticks and on the triggers. Everything feels quality in the hand and the controller has some heft to it. I meant to try it on windows all these months but I never got around to it.
Overall I have had good luck with these controllers as I have had my oldest one around a year and there are no issues with it today.
The only “downside” I would say with this controller is that there was no mount for me to mount my phone on when it says it is an Android controller. I suppose an Android tablet with a stand would work great but I think they should make an attachment for the phone for anything that is for iOS or Android with gaming.
As far as “Cloud gaming platform by g”; it worked natively out of the box on my phone and worked after being reset on the chromebook in “Cloud gaming platform by g”(“Cloud gaming by N” had some issues with some games though).
All in all it is a great controller that is perfect for “mobile gaming”.
My 11 year old son recently received his first cell phone for school (iPhone). He loves gaming, so he was glad to receive the Shaks 55b Gamepad as a gift.
Very high quality product with a great presentation upon opening. Feels very ergonomic in the hand. All his friends really like it too. Schoolyard status multiplier

Connected / configured easily and allows him to play games without issues.
Just a great, well made controller that every gamer could use, but that kids (especially those who have handheld systems like the Switch) will really appreciate.

You know what they say. It is made of cheap plastic. Yes it is. But it is still the best controller you can buy for mobile gaming. Works great on my galaxy fold for cloud gaming on stadia and xbox gaming pass
Got this to work with iOS and X-Cloud, easy to setup and works as advertised. I have not tried over bluetooth to a computer or on an Android device.
The expandable mount to hold a phone is not big enough for an iPhone XR in a case, but works fine with just the phone.
I love playing pinball games on my iPhone, but tapping on the touch screen can get a little troublesome after a while. This controller brought me flippers and maaaaan thats a game changer. I do wish this thing expanded just a touch wider as my phone’s protective case is a touch thick for it, but otherwise I dig it!
This is a really nice, relatively compact gamepad that offers a lot of utility. Things that I appreciated most are the following:
* Actual x-input support, which means I can use this seamlessly with my Winows PC games as if it were an X-Box gamepad.
* Extends wide enough to hold my Note 10+ (without my phone’s case of course)
* When collapsed, feels and functions like a normal gamepad. (Plus no awkward-looking gap in the center)
* All the main buttons and features you’d expect from a good gamepad (analog triggers, clickable thumbsticks, etc.)
* Nice feel to the gamepad in the hands. Nothing stands out as overly lacking.
This is really a very solid gamepad. I love the utility of it. I love that I can toss this in my travel bag and have one solid gamepad for my phone and even for gaming on my laptop.
I’d been wanting something like this for a while. I hope to see more of this sort of stuff in the future.
The pad is wonderful, it aces at mapping for emulators.

I found something to complain about. I wish the LED indicator lights were next to the on/off switch. When playing in the dark the lights are distracting.
So i haven’t had this controller for long but in the short time I’ve had it. i have enjoyed it quiet well. The controller works well with android and is one of the only controllers i have found with a mapping function that does not require you to sandbox your game to use it. with windows its quiet nice as it does function as a full xbox controller. the support for the controller has had the most impact. when i couldn’t update the controller the support team was able to get an update pushed to the app within a few hours which resolved the issue.
I ordered Shaks the same day i ordered gamesir x2 and i like Shaks more.
The shape is a bit weird.
Build quality needs to improve and lights are just annoying but it’s a fully functional controller.
Pouch and another dpad are an awesome feature.
Thinking about getting another one
Bought this after my Razer Kishi broke, and I’ve been very pleased with this controller! All the buttons feel great to press, it’s easy to put my phone in between, and has very low latency when emulating and cloud gaming. This controller has all the buttons that your normal Xbox/Ps controller would have, including clickable thumbsticks and analog triggers that make playing racing games a breeze. It’s surprisingly comfortable too, with the grips providing a lot of stability for extended gaming sessions. Fits very easily in my pockets and has a carrying case you can throw in your backpack or purse. I haven’t tested the controller mapper included in the app, but I did see some presets for popular smartphone games, I’ll try to test that within the next few days. My only real complaints would be the analog sticks, which are a little hard on my thumbs (hence the thumbstick grips lol), and the controller is a bit noisy which could be a problem for some folks. Would absolutely recommend this controller for anyone interested in a fully stocked controller with a small form factor for a reasonable price.
It does as advertised! no issues with connectivity, battery lasts a long while, phone sat perfectly(s21) and the buttons are responsive. the app works very nice when you want to map your own button config, and is great with emulators
The game pad is fantastic. Bluetooth connection is flawless, there is very low latency, and the controls work very well. This is a much better product than similar others that cost more.
There are two things I wish could be changed. First one, the structure of the extension mechanism feels weak, the phone does not feel solidly supported on it. It does the job, but does not inspire a lot of confidence.
The other thing is more of an ask. The controller has key mapping function for Android. It would be great if they could do the same for iOS.
This is a really nice, versatile gaming controller. First off, it feels nicely made and doesn’t feel cheap. The design allows for it to feel nice in my hands and is comfortable to hold for an extended period of time. I’ve tested this with Stadia, XBOX’s XCloud, GeForce Now and it all worked just fine. I also used it with my S21 Ultra (Android) and PC – both of which worked with no issues. My S21 Ultra did fit inside but I had to remove my case.
This controller comes with a USB C cable for charging and a very nice protective, leather-like case which makes it easy to store and even take with you on the go.
The buttons/triggers are easy to hit and you get nice feedback letting you know the button was pressed. It connects via Bluetooth and is very easy to setup and use.
The controller does have a built in rechargeable battery and it took a few hours to fully charge. Once charged, I averaged about 7 to 8 hours of use before needing charged again. This can be used while charging so that is a good thing, too.
All things considered, I had no issues while using this controller and I am very pleased with the results.
Works very well. Feels a little cheap and the analog sticks are very loose. They don’t have allot of tension to them, Wich some people may actually prefer. I really like the feel of the analog triggers. It is very different, the way they are pressed but, in a good way. I love that the controller can be compacted into a regular controller and used for PC gaming. To this point, this is the ultimate portable controller. I wish the Stadia controller would extend in the middle to hold a phone. Would love a premium version of this. For now this one will do.
To be honest reading the description and seeing all the marketing material, i was initially impressed and the reason it caught my eye. Upon receipt I found the devise to not only be super lightweight, a bit flimsy, inaccurate seams, low quality materials and overall construction. Felt like demo cell phones back in the day that didnt have the battery. Connectivity and gameplay functionality are adequate, latency is good, check game and device compatibility before ordering as you dont want to be disappointed your favorite game isnt supported. Would not recommend for FPS or TPS games. I should have adjusted my expectations, but i let myself get overhyped on the well crafted marketing FUD. Works as expected, but not a value for the retail price point.
For reference: used on (2) iphone 8’s and an iphone x. Dont have a droid device to test on.
As the other reviews have stated. It doesn’t feel incredibly sturdy. However, it definitely feels sturdy enough to get the job done. I have been using this to play emulated games on my android, play Xbox game pass games on my pc and cod on my iPad mini 5. I carry this to work to play on my phone during break. This controller is really cool. Hoping they release a version that can work on Xbox so I can use it for that too.
But SHAKS ups the ante here – adding a number of changes and twists of their own. First, the controller pulls apart on a spring loaded center section so that it can grip a phone or small tablet, turning them into mini-hand-held gaming devices. This works well for the devices I tried, though I did have to remove some cases since the slots for the device are fairly slim. In another change, the device is much more square than round – perhaps the most square controller I’ve owned since the old NES days. This lets it be more compact but is surprisingly still very comfortable. Finally, the L2/R2 triggers (which are analog) hinge so that down and in is a click vs pulling in like a trigger. This takes a bit to get used to but also allows the device to be smaller.
So with all this good, what’s not to like – what a 4 vs a 5? It comes down to the d-pad. D-pads are notoriously hard to get right and this one just misses the mark a bit. While the other buttons on the controller face have a nice click to them, the D-Pad is mushy and slightly inaccurate. It’s better with the disk replacement they provide vs the built-in cross, but still far from ideal. Fix that, and this would be a wonderful controller. As-is? It’s merely very good.
I think the price is spot on, as this isn’t as high end as some very close competitors that hook straight into your phone with usb c interface.
The buttons feel good, the abxy buttons are not as premium feeling as a console controller, they are a little spongy, however they are pretty good for an android controller unless your delving into the upper realm of controllers. I really like the extra included d pad that is very similar to the one found on the elite controller made by a large console producer. Its really comfortable. It comes pre installed with a regular d pad. But the elite style is included with the product, so you can use whichever you prefer.
The controller is responsive, works great right out of the box, paired quickly to my phone, fits the phone perfectly, has nice padded supports and will not scratch my phone. Nice unit overall.
Id say if you don’t want to jump into the high end eighty and above dollar controllers but want some of the same options with the same look, this is a great value. All the buttons work, android finds it and it works great with it, its works well in games, the d pad is great, analogs ore good, buttons are ok, shoulder buttons all good. No real issues with it, good controller overall.

Controller charges and is its own unit, not connected to phone battery. Wish it was usb and could charge phone while charging as it covers my phones charging port, thats pretty standard in non usb c connection directly to phone controllers though, so not really a complaint, something somebody might need to know though.
Id reccomended using this controller with a larger phone however. I tried with my brothers smaller iphone horizontally and the sides do wobble a little bit. I used this with my s21 ultra and because its so large the wobble is non exsistant.
The only real con i can say about this controller is the spring mechanism. Its a little loud and sometimes sticks on itself. Also be aware of any camera bumps on your device. the s21 ultra has a big one and the phone can only go 90% in horizontally (this isnt a huge deal to me as it still fits snugly in there anyway).
Overall great controller for emulation and steam link def buy
It comes with a replacement d-pad disc if you prefer the feel of a disc to a cross, and a nice little case. It fits my iPhone without a problem, but I was also surprised to see it fit a 10″ tablet (in vertical mode).
The loss of one star from my review is because the whole thing feels just a bit cheap, in terms of build quality. The plastic doesn’t feel really solid, and the telescoping feature, while impressively wide, doesn’t allow for a super-strong grip on your device. It works. The phone didn’t fall out or anything, but it feels like vigorous use might risk some damage to the phone by way of wiggling plastic around the edges.
For this reason, I believe this is best used for short play sessions or very casual gaming. Hardcore twitch gaming, intense FPS or driving, and things like that might end up being a danger to whatever device you’re holding in the controller. Ultimately, while this will become a much-liked part of my gaming collection for on-the-go games, I still think nothing beats the Xbox controller with an optional snap-on mobile phone clasp, especially considering the similarity in prices here. I just don’t see the sixty dollar range as a competitive price for the S5b at this time considering the build quality versus Microsoft’s offering at about the same price. All the mapping and extra features don’t make up for a wobbly, squeaky plastic.
Four stars. If they dropped the price a little or just made it feel more solid, I’d consider five.
So far, it’s a very portable and solid controller! I am not a competitive gamer, but I do enjoy games like “Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon”, “Madden”, “NASCAR HEAT 5”, “Tom Clancy’s The Division (1 and 2).

The joypad offers two modes of operation for mobile devices, depending on the games played. For touch controlled games, there is a companion application that can be used to map buttons. The other mode is as a straight-up joypad, for those games that support them. Switching between modes and platforms is through a small switch on the side of the controller. I didn’t experience lag when playing games via bluetooth on my phone – it seems as good as a wired connection. Overall, controls are laid out well, for the most part decent and all-important latency is low.
