    Compact desig
Love the fact that your labels are on a roll inside the printer not cluttering up your desk. Very easy to connect to phone. I was printing in less than 10 minutes from opening the box.

    Awesome printer.
Very happy with it. I’m using it hard wired into a MacBook and the print quality is amazing. Super speed! Setup was easy and the internal roller for labels is nice.

I dropped it 1* because I would have expected it to come with labels which it didn’t… And although the labels are easy to install it was quite hard to line them up correctly. Took a few trial and error prints before I knew the edge was correctly aligned.

Once that was sorted, this is great!

does the job you tell it to
just remember to use the right printer and the correct size of paper. it does it all for you then. ahem, did forget somewhat, found out that it don’t work too well when A4 chosen instead of 6×4. no roll of paper included, shame.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersPerfect for Royal Mail labels, works in Linux (even on a Raspberry Pi)
I took a chance on this bargain printer, and I’m delighted. The print quality is fine. It’s 203 DPI, so you won’t be printing photos, but it does a fine job of labels. It takes a literal second to print one, and at under 8 for a roll of 500 labels that’s less than 2p each.

It’s connected to my Raspberry Pi print server via USB. The Pi is running CUPS, and the Zebra ZPL drivers work perfectly.

A bit of sleuthing led me to the discovery that the Zebra drivers should work, and they do. That means there’s no need to install anything extra, I can run it on systems that aren’t x86, and I’m not at the mercy of the manufacturer for driver support in future.

    Cheap and cheerful - effective
I didn’t realise how much I needed a 4″ label printer until I got a 4″ label printer. I picked this as about the cheapest option at the time and it’s proven great – no failed prints, no fuss – starts up very quickly and belts out the labels at a good pace. I had some reservations about the ‘off brand’ but it’s really been great. What I wasn’t sure of before buying was whether this needed special software or not, but no, it’s “just a printer” like any other printer in Windows – perfect.

wow super easy and works in minutese
I purchased this as my Dymo 4xl one minute will accept the 4×6 labels and the next will reject the lables, I appreciate I am buying non Dymo branded labels…so my recent purchase of labels both rolls it wouldn’t accept…I purchased this printer plugged in the usb stick and downloaded the drivers which took a minute or two at the most…I printed off a label within a couple of minutes no questions…the labels the Dymo rejected worked first time….I would never suggest anyone buy a Dymo they are crap in comparison.

No BT from iMac only off iphone or windows via a app ☹️
It’s ok shame the Bluetooth doesn’t work from a IMAC as that’s what it was to be used with, product seems to work ok once set up properly and configured.

    Good item
I really love this little item despite an issue I think needs a little bit of a rethink. It was easy to set up and easy to use.
My only negative would be that it’s awkward to tear or cut off the label as there is no room so you have to open the printer to do i

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBrilliant, but be warned!
This a brilliant printer and does the job very well. While plasticity, what budget printer isn’t these days? Be warned though. The setup instructions do assume a level of confidence in installing a printer beyond your normal laser or inkjet. Relax, take it slow and you’ll be pleased with the result. Or, alternatively, spend (a lot) more money to get the bells and whistles.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our Users4.0 out of 5 stars Initially difficult/impossible to use but now works great!
NB I think this listing has changed since I made my purchase at the end of November 2022 – I bought the Bluetooth version.
AlsoI initially wrote a one star review as the printer simply wouldn’t work, but I have since updated both the score and my written review as described below.

I did a lot of research before buying this printer and I chose this one because it had all the features I wanted (Bluetooth printing, can take different sizes of labels, labels stored inside the printer, compact, easy to use) at a good price. However, it ended up being a huge let down at first.

Although it was easy enough to download the app and connect to the printer from my iPhone, I just couldn’t get to grips with printing a label successfully. The instruction manual is in poorly translated English so it’s not particularly helpful, and the app is not intuitive and parts of it are in Chinese so it’s pretty useless. I was able to import a returns label but for some reason whenever I tried to print it the printer would think about it for 30-60 seconds and then spew out a tiny QR code as shown in the photo. The code isn’t even related to the label I was trying to print; when I scan it it comes up as ‘123457789’, so it must be a test code or something. I tried asking for help but got no reply, so customer support is completely lacking. It was so frustrating to continuously waste labels so I decided to give up and I intended to return the printer for a refund. What a waste of time and trouble.

However, I decided to give the printer a final try (if only to print its own return label!!) and it suddenly started working properly. I didn’t do anything differently; it was as if the printer all of a sudden wanted to play ball for some unknown reason and I can’t say I was unhappy about that! Now it prints labels in a matter of seconds and I’m absolutely thrilled. I may need to play around with the thickness of the printing as some of the barcodes can look a little thickbut that said they still scanned without issue by both Evri and Royal Mail so perhaps I’m better off leaving well alone!

The fact this printer is black is a big plus to me as it looks slick and it won’t change colour over time (I hate how white plastic so often yellows as it ages).

I would have liked it to come with a few sample labels for practice runs, but I’ve not marked down for the fact it doesn’t as this is mentioned in the listing so it came as no surprise.

So if you have a similar experience to me at first, don’t despair as hopefully your printer will suddenly buck up its ideas like mine did!

    It does work on linux
I bought this because i used Linux 99.9% of the time, it took about 2 days to get this working, the supplied flash drive was a waste of time, the driver for Linux doesn’t work the driver on the suppliers website is a little better, to be honest i tried that, i don’t know which one i’m using at the moment but i now have this working great, much better than windows 10.
Recommended for the linux user if you can get it working

Bought just to print my own labels from indesig
I know this works with all the usual courier services; however, I always like to drop off an weigh my shiz at the post office. So this does what I need which is to print an address from indesign on a Mac. It’s plug an play easy to set up, however my virus software picked up a Trojan horse within the usb stick provided in the windows driver folder. Quickly deleted. The Mac driver was fine though. Then just added printer through settings, set the paper size to 4×6 pressed print and wallop, this thing spat out the print in about 1 second. Perfect for my needs as I used to print out on A4, cut to size and then stick using cellotape to my parcels, never mind having to buy ink all the time. So for now all seems good.

Great for Royal Mail labels bought through Ebay and Evri
Great little printer. Very easy to set up and the device drivers are easy to find if you simply google the device name.

I was getting sick of manually sticking Royal Mail labels printed through my Epson Inkjet Printer and wanted something that would save the hassle of faffing about with cellotape and scissors.

This does the job perfectly and gives a great professional looking clear label that will instantly give your business more of a professional look and save you time and money.

Works out around a fiver for 500 labels and no need for ink cartridges.

Highly recommended for any small business.

It actually works as expected, is reasonable quality, and it *does* work on Linux
This is a reasonably priced printer, and if you set it to the lowest possible print speed and a density of 8 (in my testing) you can get really pretty readable labels with working QR codes etc. Even at the lowest speed it prints a 100x150mm label in around 1.5 – 2 seconds, so no real need to go faster. Print quality at higher speed just gets worse.

In case you’re specifically buying it for use with ebay, I can confirm that the Royal Mail labels offered by ebay work fine with this printer. You have to turn off zoom etc to make sure the labels align with the 100x150mm labels, so you might waste a few goes. Make sure you get direct thermal labels.

It’s only capable of 203dpi, so that’s “fine” for single-use shipping labels, but you can’t really go much smaller than about size 8-9pt fonts.

The build quality is fine, but it’s probably targeted at the occasional use on a desktop rather than constant warehouse use – sometimes the labels don’t feed through consistently so you have to press the button on top to get a bonus blank label and to make the perforations align with the printer’s cutting edge. This might be because I’m still using a nearly-full roll of 500 labels and perhaps they’re dragging a bit. Calibration didn’t seem to help.

The printer also comes with a driver CD, but this is useless because it’s not 1996 any more. You can download the drivers directly from Seagull’s website, and, although the Linux bundle works perfectly, I just wish they would give you the simple PPD file rather than a binary self-extracting shell script.

Perfect little printer. Absolute bargain for the price. From receiving to printing first shipping label took less than 30 mins. As with others, I don’t have a CD drive so download the printer driver from Seagull. Integrates well with both ebay and etsy

    Saves Me Money Every Day
The PC drivers were on the disk supply which got it up and running, then updated the drivers on the internet. I use it for eBay postage labels 4×6 inch through the postage option when item sells. This save me loads of time writing it out and paying at the post office. Also paying for postage online is a lot cheaper as well.

    Efficient way for sending parcels
We do a lot of postage and shipping for work. We have in the past just printed labels with A4 paper but it is not very efficient on paper usage and having to sellotape postage details to boxes or having to hand write details on letters. This label printer significantly optimises this step amazingly well. Simply connect it up and select it as a printer option on you desktop computer and set to print labels on. The labels are sticky so you just have to stick it on to the box or letter. It save a lot of printing ink and paper. Also, it will saves on secretarial time making your business run more efficiently.
