The only thing I can fault is that it’s a big bugger! Apart from that it’s an excellent buy. The light is good, the fan does exactly what it needs to. I’ve got 4 of these. Really good. Compared to another I have these cool in a more circulating the air kind of way. The other one I have gives more of a direct breeze.
The first one I had was a tad noisy, but after a super easy Amazon return the replacement was quiet enough to sleep through

Arrived very quickly it took two to put it up I suppose one person might have been able to fit it for safety sake we doubled up. Clear instructions as for noise it is fairly quiet it slips into background noise after a short while
Tried twice to buy one of these via Amazon Warehouse but both time the glass shade came shattered. So ordered a new one.
It’s a lengthy assembly and install but the instructions are clear. Once up the fan runs quiet, moves a lot of air and it’s a handsome piece of kit.
Slightly disappointed it doesn’t come with a halogen not an LED bulb, hence only 4 stars, but otherwise thoroughly recommended!

Really cools us down especially with the recent bout of heat we had. I did find it easy to install but you can’t take my word for it as I am a tradesman which means it could be a nightmare for someone who has little experience in installation. You can feel the breeze circulating around the room and on recent hot days everyone is in the front room chilling out. I have never experienced a ceiling fan better than this one. Glad I bought this.
Very well made, all the wiring and connectors are good quality, it is very heavy so needs to be screwed into something solid, the instructions are accompanied by diagrams so with patience reasonably easy to follow, the motor is very quiet, you can only hear the blades moving through the air, with the television or radio on you do not notice it, it does an excellent job of moving the air about and keeping the room feeling cool, the remote control also works well, for the money a very good product.

Well worth it seriously
Having done a fair amount of research on ceiling fans I decided on this German made product. Very pleased with this fan which I specifically wanted the remote function as my previous fan had broke from pulling the cord too much!!
Very quiet even on the highest speed setting – looks amazing in my conservatory. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT WHICH IS WELL PRICED.

It take a bit of time to get used to using the remote to switch the light on and off with so that you can switch the fan on and off from bed.
It works really well quiet efficent just a note I have said its easy to install I am a qualified electrician.

I have 6 of these in my house and I love every last one of them. Plus points is that they are quiet and move a lot of air in whatever room they are in. Speeds 1&2 are quiet; no idea why there is a 3rd, I grew up in the US and have never been able to turn any fan on to the third setting. They do look good in a modern house and my family loves what they add to comfort of our home. The remote makes for a simple install and any remote will control all of them when pointed in the general direction (for when the kids lose one).
The only downside is that I have to go to a major hardware store to get LED bulbs for them. Westinghouse bafflingly ships these with halogen bulbs?!? Annoying but nothing that a fiver can’t fix.
Shipped 2 of these out to Portugal, they put down some serious breeze and even on full whack they’re not “Noisy”, however for sleeping I’d imagine the lowest setting would be just fine.
Remote works well (no dimming function) fan runs virtually silent on mode 1 swapped out the R7S 78mm halogen bulb for a 78mm Osram LED bulb looks the part!
Well worth the 80 quid we paid for open box but wouldn’t pay 140! I would price around the 100-115 mark

We have a flat roof in our property so the heat intensity in the summer is very hot. We don’t have the climate to afford and justify air conditioning so these fans are essential.
First things first – the noise of the airflow takes over the noise of the motor pretty much at any speed. Albeit a number one the motor is barely noticeable. The drop from the ceiling is also quite short. This helps with lower ceiling houses and tall people. Just don’t try the YMCA with the fan on = ouch fingers.
The design is pretty sexy. The brushed chrome looks the part, fan blades are attractive and the light on its own produces a decent amount of light. I must confess that we haven’t tried the LED bulbs because these are really expensive!
Installation can cause you to go mad a little bit. The ceiling bracket permits the lighting ring to come through the centre hole but then trying to squeeze in the electronic control unit can be a bind – but it’s doable. If you’re unsure then just call out an electrician.
The other good aspect I like about this is when you turn the light and fan off by the main switch – only the light would turn on when you hit the switch again.
Remote is neat and tidy. Easy. Nana could operate it.
For future tech I would love to see a WiFi chip installed and an app. I think that would be pretty wizard!

With the summer heatwave this year it became necessary to have some means of moving air to cool a largish room. Had considered Dyson fans but they’re so expensive and for the price of one of them it was possible to get two of these and have change! Once in place these fans need no storage space either when not in use plus they will work in reverse to push warm air down from the ceiling during autumn/winter time as well as replacing the central room light. As long as the fitting instructions were followed diligently they posed no problems to install, the important fact being to use double-pole rather than single-pole light switches. Nifty to have remote units to work them too. I suppose the only point I’d complain about is the fact that the remotes can’t be individually programmed to respective fans.
It was a bit of a fiddle to assemble, some locating pins on the blades would be very useful but in the hot weather a real godsend. It produces a very pleasant gentle breeze is reasonably quiet and uses surprisingly little electric according to my smart meter display so I had no qualms about leaving it on all night and slept much better with it on. There is a soft background hum but not enough to keep me awake. The light I dont use as its an 80w halogen bulb, an LED bulb would be much better and way less costly to run but I’m not sure it would take the bulkier LED bulb as space is limited.
If you take your time, read the instructions before you start then you really should have no problem putting this together. The cabling is easy, however is you have more than the 3 cables coming through your ceiling then you are going to struggle. It is best the majority of the lighting circuit is in the ceiling as you will not be able to install this if you are dealing with more than 1 3core cable. Looks great, very quiet and the remote works really well.
Solid product and quiet in operation. I had an electrician fit mine and he didn’t moan about the fitting which took around an hour for each one as I had 3 fitted. The remote control is very nice and responsive, very pleased
Very quiet on 1 and two settings, which is perfect for the bedroom where it is fitted.
If you put it on setting three be prepared to take off as it will surely feel like it.
This is a larger than average ceiling fan. It would not look out of place in a commercial premise. You can tell the quality when it is up and working. The installation has plugs on which you don’t get on the cheaper products. Overall we are pleased and happy with no regrets.
Beautifully balanced, silent running fan. Looks great and performs as claimed. Pleased I purchased this, but do use a qualified electrician to install as it is quite a complex procedure.

Absolutely brilliant very quiet, well made little bit tricky to install but the for the average DIY person no problem.
Quite easy to install if you follow step by step guide even tho there are several parts to assemble. Looks and feels good quality too. Works great. Low speed very quiet but reasonable airflow from it. Higher speeds good for quicker cooling off. Helps sleep so much on warm muggy nights.
Installed this fan yesterday in our bedroom and I have to say it’s the best sleep we have had in sometime.This is a classy bit of kit , very well built and easy enough to assemble , although I recommend reading the instruction . On setting one it is almost silent and gives a lovely draft for sleeping . On setting two there is a little air noise but still quite quiet if watching the TV. Setting three i would never use , but we only have 8ft ceilings and this fan pushes a lot of air . Remote control is excellent . For electrical connections I used the switched live so in the winter months we can use the normal ight operation .
Gives off a lovely warm light from supplied halogen bulb. Very efficient air flow. On max it blows stuff around. We have it constantly on min overnight and it is practically silent. Great product worth twice its price.
A great fan easy to assemble with just 1 person. The remote control makes for an easy life operating it.
My only change would be to swap the halogen light for an LED one.
Great fan and light – doesn’t have a dimmable light which is a shame (I believe I could upgrade the remote module to have this). I fitted it easily on my own, the instructions are clear and easy to follow, with it being modular so you’re not trying to lift a heavy weight to the ceiling while screwing. A great boon in summer, and even helps distribute heat evenly in winter too.
**UPDATE 24/02/2019**
Found an LED bulb on eBay that comes from China that works perfectly, been through two since leaving this review. My only issue with this fan now is that the remote control is dying badly, new batteries don’t fix it. It’s 25 for a new remote from their website which is just absurd for a fan remote control. Airflow is still great, got it in constant summer mode as the heat in my small room gets unbearable. Fan is on most days and nights, great for the money. Wish the remote lasted longer.
This is a good fan however it’s not as quiet as I expected, the air coming off it is really good. However, the bad point is the bulb was way too bright for my bedroom but 6 months in the bulb has blew so I’m currently on the hunt for a better bulb that fits.

Best fan ever worth every penny. So quiet even on highest speed there’s no vibration. My husbands a light sleeper and wouldn’t even have the old fan on 2nd setting but this one he has on the highest. Would highly recommend. You get what you pay for. Very wide as well so you can feel the fan anywhere in the room.
Works very well indeed. Had a brief problem with the clicking reported elsewhere, but it ceased after 24 hours. After over a month of continuous use, seems to be robust and silent in slow speeds, and not too intrusive on high speed. I certainly shifts the air! It has made sleeping in hot weather much more comfortable.
Great fan, very stylish and very quiet. My only complaint would be that the length of the rod that hold the fan was a bit short, like 6 inches. That said the 12 inch replacement wasnt expensive and was very simple to fit courtesy of excellent design.

Beautiful piece of kit. Have bought 4 by now and very happy with them. Silent barely hearing a wind sound on 3. Able to sleep with it on without any issues. I have to say that it is a rather heavy equipment so when I had to install them I ask for the electrician to help. If you will put in concrete ceiling will be better to use a stronger hook which really wasn’t a problem. Follow the instructions to the letter and do not force anything during assembly. Everything should fit snug to avoid any noises. Good remote, mine has dimmable lights so great and the direction is changing to accommodate winter and summer use. I would recommend them strongly. At the end unfortunately it is true that you get what you buy for so you will pay more but in my opinion it totally worth it.
Beautiful fan, a bit loud sometimes and not easy to install. Had to order two electricians to fix the ceiling fan. Looks great at the end and everyone is impressed how powerful it is. Would recommend.

The fan has three speed settings which I really like.
The lowest is perfect for overnight, especially if you’re prone to going hot.
It is very quiet on level 1 and 2, and a bit louder on 3. But certainly not enough to make you want to throw things at it!
It’s also not an annoying sound, just a low hum really.
It was easy enough to set up too, actually. My father did it for me. You definitely need a bit of strength to do it alone, but it would be really easy with two people.
I highly recommend this product.

works really well and keeping the room cool even on the slowest setting ,yes it is heavy so take care to instal it correctly and it has to screw directly in to a cross member /beam very quiet as well ,remote works great too. The light is a little bright so going to look for a lower wattage bulb .
I like this product, looks stylish, husband said it was straightforward to put together and install, fan is nice and quiet which is great. However it is very large in diameter so would suit a large room. We swapped it from our bedroom into a downstairs room and got a smaller one for upstairs. I then needed to order the extension rod to combat a sloping roof in the conservatory, but there was no extended wires and I can’t find the sellers details afterwards to query it. That said, great product!

I now have three of these in my house. They are very good indeed! Almost silent in operation apart from a very faint hum that does not disturb at all. As others have said, make sure it attaches into a solid beam as they are rather heavy. You really wouldn’t want it landing on you in the night! Only two slight anomalies. Only one of them features a dimming light. It would seem the factory supplied remote pack varies slightly even though the fans are all identical in every other respect I got two of these from Amazon Warehouse. One was fine and still factory sealed. The other had been opened, had the remote pack and bulb removed, then resealed and sent out as ‘refurbished!’ Other tan that I would very much recommend this product. Additional info: I contacted Westinghouse directly regarding the fact that only one of the three fans has a dimming light. They responded promptly and sent me two replacement remote packs (zapper and receiver) and now all three fans have dimmable lights. Great customer service!
Bought this the other day and had it fitted. The blades spin so quietly that I can have it on while I’m recording audio in the room.
The Cons are that the Manual for use and installation was written by a Dyslexic Gibbon who was distracted by the noise of infinite monkeys recreating the works of Shakespeare…or no

Had to get Amazon to send me a replacement because the original motors Crome housing was not running true, Amazon replaced this very quickly good service as usual, once I had the new fan it was a quick and easy process to install. It is very heavy so it must be fitted firmly to the ceiling joist. You hang and wire the mount and then the main fan and light hands on this mount, this really does make wiring and hanging this fan very easy.
The light is bright enough in my opinion. The only thing that I was slightly disappointed with was the light does not dim, not the end of the world. After I discovered the original fan did not spin true I tried to find a contact number for Westinghouse in the UK, I was unable to find any way of speaking to them, this was a disappointment.
This fan and light does look well made and has a good warranty. I would buy another one and would recommend it to anyone.
Further to this and some years later, still working really well and still looks modern. The only thing I’ve changed is I’ve managed to change the expensive halogen bulb with an equivalent LED light. A must do thing with expensive electric costs.

– Has a low drop
– It is completely silent on the lowest setting. Highest setting it wobbles a bit and I am not totally sure I would trust that, but the highest setting is like a whirlwind.
– Direction is reversible via a switch on the side.
– Remote control is an IR remote, fan has 3 speeds. The bulb is dimmable.
– Installation wasn’t particularly difficult for someone like me who has no idea what they’re doing. Two person job for some bits but nothing major.
– Looks pretty good
– It is very big. Verrrrrry big. But it doesn’t drop down far. Check you have enough ceiling space to install this.
– It is very heavy. Like, much heavier than you’d think. So make sure your roof is strong enough to support it.
Took a couple of hours to fit, organising & tucking all of the wiring out of the way was the most difficult. There is a flimsy brown plastic plate that holds some of the wire connectors this pretty much snapped of straight away, (maybe i’m heavy handed) but it was easy to resecure with the exsisting little screws and is not detrimental in any way to the fitting or operation of the fan. The instructions are not brilliant but they are adaquate for a novice DIY’er and fitting & assembly is achievable if you have had some DIY & basic electrical experience. Wire in the live, neutral & earth the rest is all block connectors. If it doesn’t work you’ve probably just connected the wrong blocks together.
52″ is also pretty big, ideal for a large double bedroom.
Overall i’m giving it 5stars based on it’s looks & operation, however it is brand new & I can’t comment on its longevity.
Lamp reasonably bright. hardly wobbles at high speed. Correct firm fixings an absolute must. its very heavy. Used a plastic sheathed wire to hold unit whilst wiring up. Took my time , plan your options & cable routes. If you leave standard ceiling plastic rose in place , the fan rose will not cover fixing screws.
If it provides reliable I would purchase again for conservatory.

The instructions are good, even though they are in about fifteen different languages. English is at the top, and each step is illustrated. The instructions are slightly generic, and there are a few differences in the illustrations compared to this actual fan, but it’s not difficult to work out what goes where.
The first step is to position the mounting bracket on the ceiling (it needs a very firm fixing) and then get power to it. You really need to know what you’re doing here – if you’re in any doubt you’ll need an electrician. Don’t just expect to be able to replace a light fitting with this – it’s not that simple. Anyway, once the power supply is sorted, it’s a simple case of assembling the fan using a single Pozidriv screwdriver and the snap-fit electrical connections. There are rather a lot of parts, but thanks to a clever design it all goes together easily and logically, with the main parts suspended on the bracket so you don’t have to hold things up yourself – though you’ll probably still end up with a stiff neck!
At 52″ the fan is large, and I wondered whether I’d ordered one too big – however, once up it actually looks sensible, if anything even a little small perhaps, and our bedroom isn’t huge either. In use, the fan is very quiet, with virtually no motor noise. There are three speed settings. At 1, the fan is silent. At 2 there’s a slight wind noise from the blades. At 3 there’s a proper wind sound and a slight motor hum – but still a lot less noisy than the desk fan we used to use. The mounting bracket has rubber pads which seem to stop the ceiling resonating.
There isn’t a huge blast even on setting 3, but there’s a superb circulation of air around the room and it certainly feels a lot cooler at night, and you never feel like you’re in a draught or getting too cold.
It’s worth mentioning that while some of the fans by Westinghouse have reversible blades (ie. dark one side, light the other) this fan does not. The blades should not be used upside down, and they are a dark brown (artificial) wood effect both sides. And yes, they are a very dark brown.
The light works well, and dims right down, though I’m not sure I’d call it ‘energy saving’ as described. At full brightness the light is very bright, but with dimming it mellows down to a nice golden glow. The light only works from via the remote control, and won’t work from a wall switch without some serious internal rewiring (not recommended!). The remote control (supplied) works well. You’ll need to buy two AA batteries yourself (seems a little mean?), and it’s worth noting that there’s no way to work the fan without the remote – there’s no switching on the fan itself other than a direction change switch located on top of the ‘globe’.
I don’t think the description clearly states the overall drop from the ceiling – anyway, it’s about 13″ / 33cms and the instructions say there should be at least 2.3m clearance below. My ceiling’s not that high, so I have 2.1m clearance which is more than enough as long as I don’t stick my hands up in the air or start wearing top hats. The blades are heavy and fast moving, and they could cause a nasty accident.
In summary, this is a very well made and sturdy fan that should last a long time. It makes hot nights bearable, it looks stylish, and for what it is I think it’s a very good price.
For me a product has to be exceptional to write a review and this fan IS, this fan is the 2nd we have purchased in our home, ordered late Saturday night, just arrived Monday, super speed delivery! Not checked if all parts are there as we aren’t having it fitted for a couple of weeks but I have every confidence in this seller, I am confined to a wheelchair so the remote control is brilliant for me, my only advice have it fitted by a qualified electrician. Will be certainly buying more in the future, btw I did shop around and this seller was the cheapest, thank you!
Installation instructions are good. You fix the mounting bracket (make sure you use decent screws going into a ceiling joist. This is a heavy bit of kit.) You then connect the wiring to the terminal block on the bracket. After some more assembly you lift the motor unit onto the bracket and connect the pre-fitted plugs. There’s no balancing it on your shoulder while you try to wire it in.
The only trouble I had was aligning the screws for the fan blades but I got the hang of it in the end.
I would have preferred lighter coloured fan blades. They are quite dark but that’s just a personal preference.
The remote control works well. Fan speeds 1 2 & 3 and off of course. Light on off and a dimmer. My wife is disabled and loves the fact she can control it from her armchair while watching horse racing on TV.
It’s still new to us so I’ll update if we get any problems.

All is great. Fan is great, remote is very handy, but wout would have liked the lighting to be nicer.
This is a fantastic product.
I can use it on full beam if i need to read, or do something that requires a lot of light.
Or I can use the dim button on the remote control, if I want to watch a movie or tv etc.
I don’t even need a bed-side lamp anymore. I just leave the remote on my bed-side table and when i wake up…. hit the “ON” button and then dim as desired.
The fan is great too.
It cools the room down real quick. But also, if you reverse the rotation it circulates warm air great too.
The diameter of the blades is quite large I would not reccomend for a small room.
One thing I was’nt sure of when i read the description, was how low it would hang from the ceiling.
Its lowest point is approx 14 inches (36cm), lower than your ceiling.
keep cool, but also in winter to make the most of the central heating. It comes with remote control and the light can be dimmed too, what more can one ask for?? Also good value for money, I will def get another on soon. A+++
