I wanted some longish ladders that I could easily fit in a car. Looked at various ones but chose these due to their easy collapsible mechanism. Extends to 3.8m which is high enough for me and just slide the two buttons and they collapse down – great to watch! Still has the option to collapse one step at a time if you need to adjust the height.

They feel sturdy at full extend. I put up a wireless CCTV camera at 3m with ease and felt safe. Would highly recommend.

Good ladder, easy to put up and retract. Feels sturdy, bends a little at max length.

Seem to be good quality and well engineered in operation, but when extended without any weight on, they have a lot of movement in between rungs if wiggled backwards and forwards.
My previous set (bought from maplins years ago), seemed sturdier in that respect.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI had looked at this for a while and was put off by some of the sturdyness concerns, but I took the plunge and I’m glad I did. If used properly it seems without issue and more than capable for the job(s). I would recommend.

Bought as a ladder for the attic, and it works reasonably efficiently. Sturdy and stable even for a heavy build like my own.

This is the updated model that is easy to extend and safer to let down because it has been modified to slow the decent of the sections which really is good. It works well for me as I only want to use it to gain access to my flat roof occasionally. However it feels a little unsteady (when compared to a traditional ladder) and therefore wouldn’t consider using it to carry out work off.

Good for occasional use. Storage is easy and they are strong and stable enough for small jobs. Would want a proper ladder for regular use.

Super for home use AND PLEASE READ the manual FIRST !
The correct way to extend the ladder varies by whether you want it at full length, or only partially open. Please make sure you read the manual and understand the different techniques. If you make a mistake it may be a very painful fail.
For occasional home use I think this a great value purchase. I have marked sturdiness as 4 stars because in comparison to other ladders costing three or four times as much, it does feel less sturdy – but those ladders are targeted at full time professionals and are expected to last years and years.
Happy to recommend for home use.

I use this as a loft ladder where I cannot easily fit an access ladder. I store it behind the door in my office where it does not take up any useable space.

Had it for a year or so now. Extending the ladder takes a bit of getting used to, but once you get the hang of it no problem.

Good loft ladder in tight spaces

Ordered a 3.8m telescopic ladder and I can say they are pretty good.

What stands out is the compact size of only 89cm high when folded. This will fit in any smaller size shed, side of the van(inside), garage, etc…
The plastic smooth grip allows you to carry these with ease and not even feel them, and mention, these are quite heavy weighing around 12kg.
Extending is super easy by only standing on the lowest step and simply extending it out with your hands. Folding them up is even easier. Pull two black tabs on the bottom for automatic folding of whole ladders or push only red tabs and ladders will fold down to pushed tabs.
When folded there is a strong lock-in mechanism strap which holds the ladders safe and folded.

It was super simple to assemble or to be more precise add the stabilising bar to the ladders. The ends of stabilising bars are made of strong durable rubber and will prevent slipping of the ladders. They are slightly rounded so they will be completely flat, whichever reasonable angle of the ladders are used.

I’d highly recommend these ladders if you are looking for something that will save you a lot of space yet be useful all around and help you with hard to reach spaces.

Arrived well packaged, with no problems. A very well made item, sturdy and stable. So far, I have only used it partially extended, to access the loft, but it felt very stable to climb, and no slack or lateral movement noticed between the sections. The telescoping sections are very smooth when extending or reducing. Excellent, well engineered product. It will, no doubt, find many more uses, and looks and feels made to last!
My only negative opinion is the weight. It could be a little heavy to move any distance, when folded. However, this is evidence of its adequate, solid construction, and should not be regarded as a fault! I’m very pleased with it!

I was decorating the hall and stairs and needed to paint the walls at the top of the stairwell on the 2nd floor but couldn’t reach it with normal steps, and couldn’t get a standard ladder up round the bend. Therefore I thought I’d try buying a telescopic ladder, and very pleased I did. The beauty is that you can adjust it to the exact height you need and when you’ve finished you just press a button at the bottom and it automatically lowers itself. Very cool! I does bend slightly as you climb up it but it always felt secure. You need to make sure that you keep a damp cloth handy to wipe off any paint from the sides otherwise it may affect it the smoothness of the lowering after use. Relatively light in weight and folded it doesn’t take up much space so would fit easily in a cupboard. Very pleased with it overall, I’m in my 60s and wish I had one years ago!

This ladder is very easy to use and much safer than my previous ladder I bought from another brand, the soft close action gives you time to remove your fingers out of the way should you forget to move them, the ladder seems quite sturdy and the stabiliser bar is a good safety feature as well. Using this for access to the loft and it is ideal. Had a few extra feet I could extend it by when reaching the loft although the top three rungs are for extending and holding onto only. It’s so easy to set up and collapse again. Just make sure you follow the instructions on where to place your hands when operating it. It can catch you out first time but you quickly get used to where to place your hands before collapsing it. Its sturdy when it’s extended and it’s not light by any means but moving it around isn’t difficult. I’m 5’1″ and 8 stone wet through and I managed to carry it without straining myself. I would definitely recommend this product. Great quality and ideal for home projects.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI identified WolfWise as one of the leading suppliers of telescopic ladders. However I wanted the 3.8m ladder with the stabilising bar for safer working outside on my property and garden but due to the length of the stabilising bar it would not fit in a narrow hallway to access the loft hatch. The other main reason for the purchase was to access the loft and remove the risk of balancing on top of a tall step ladder.
So I wanted the benefit of both with and without stabiliser bar. After contacting WolfWise a very helpful lady, Jolene, understood my dilemma and helped work through a solution. I ended up ordering a pair of additional rubber feet from Ebay, which after a slight modification (see attached photos) fits directly over the legs of the ladder creating a stable and non slip solution to access the loft.

Great product with flexibility for adaption to cover two different usages.

Bought this ladder to carry it aroud on my Motorhome and it works absolutely perfect. Fits on my garage underneath the bed perfectly fine and it’s very easy to deploy and stow away when done using it.

Length is about perfect to access my motorhome’s roof and put stuff on the roof rack. It feels very sturdy and safe even on windy situations.

I’m not a big fan of ladders, I usually dread having to climb on one as they always feel woobly and unsafe. I’m not sure if it’s the added estabilization or what but this one really inspires confidence.

Once thing to note is that it might be bigger than you think, which is a good thing as it really is sturdy but I supposed my first impression was: “oh, it’s actually big!” but again… fits the purpose perfectly fine. Would recommend!

I needed a ladder, but didn’t have the space for one, i presume that’s why everyone would be looking for one of these. However when ordering i thought it would be a lot smaller than it is, i should have read the description. For me however, this worked out perfectly! It’s actually allowed me to not only get on top of the shed to seal up a couple of leaks but also get onto the house of the roof to clean out the drain pipes.

It comes collapsed down and simply bolts on the additional support before being able to fully extend it from something that is no bigger than the kitchen units. Be careful though it’s really heavy, but i suppose it needs to be in order to give you the stability to climb up 3.8M.

No wobbles or slips once up there, although as always, best to have someone supporting the ladder down the bottom.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAbsolutely brilliant.

I am working on a garden room build a neighbour loaned me a similar one the week earlier. Prior to that day only 2 weeks ago I didn’t know they existed.

This model is so sturdy and the stabiliser bar absolutely helps so much, my neighbours didn’t have this.

We’ve had none stop atrocious weather and my neighbours ladders sunk in to the ground, these don’t with the stabiliser.

I can easily adjust to the required height and it folds away to hardly any space in the garage.

I’ve already washed the upstairs windows also.

    Excellent sturdy versatile ladders.

It was time to add a ladder to my collection of (limited) DIY equipment, to clean and repair the guttering (and to put up the Xmas lights so I’ve been told!). This telescopic ladder had good reviews, so one click and a day latter, my new purchase arrived.

Firstly, I’ve been super cautious with ladders like these – I’ve had a loft ladder collapse on me previously so I’m not as fast or care-free these days. The ladder is well built and easy to use – Put a foot on the lowest rung and slide the slander up from the top. The rings fall into place as the ladder extends and are rock solid. I set up outside to try and felt fairly comfortable near the top. The ladder is easy to also take down – Using the safety latch, the ladder uses air compression to safely and slowly bring each layer down again.

I also like that this particular version came with an additional WIDE stabilisation bar – This can be installed at the bottom of the ladder and covers a wider area to provide additional support. I installed this later in the day and found it mitigated my worry of side wobble! It’s a little heavy to carry around, but I’d see that as a reflection of the quality.

Overall, super happy with the purchase. It’s easy to use, sturdy and reliable.

This works really well – I wish I had bought one years ago. Telescoping and retracing mechanism is slick and effective. There is a little bit of torsion when fully extended that you don’t get with a conventional ladder, but it feels stable enough (3.8 m version). Maybe the upper surface of the rungs could be made a bit rougher to give more grip?

It took us a while to realise they need to be extended from the bottom rungs. I bought them to get in the loft but it is awkward to extend in a small area. However, we worked out the best way for these ladders to work for us. They are plenty long enough and I’m happy with them.
The main reason I had issues stemmed from the fact that I have disabilities.

Golden Review Award: 29 From Our UsersI’m writing the review as a full time fireman with 12 yrs experience and having climbed a few ladders. I was looking for a decent product and waited a while to decide on one that would not take up too much space.
I seen in other reviews people talking about the stabilisation bar not coming attached as if this was an issue. This is simply screwed into place when it arrives with full length bolts. Once in place correctly it will not move in anyway. If fitting 2 long bolts and nuts together are a problem then I dont think you should be climbing any ladder in the first place.
The ladder is very well put together and a solid piece of kit.
Even at full extension I found I could manoeuvre it around if needed but this is not recommended on manual handling and safety grounds.
I have not found any issue while climbing this ladder. It comes with a 2yr warranty but I expect it to last alot longer than that.
The weight of the ladder has also been detailed as heavy. In truth for 3.8m ladder I have found this to be a similar weight to size as any ladder but because of its design when collapsed it is far easier to move and travel around with.
I would have no problem recommending this ladder for general DIY purposes at home like I will be using mine for.

Great piece of kit which is ideal for me to carry around in van as it saves so much space. Once you get used to operating these telescopic ladders they are a great tool to have and very sturdy. Come with a support bar for base which I have left off as only use them inside properties mainly for getting into loft spaces but have the option of fitting if using outdoors for extra piece of mind when climbing higher. Bit heavier than was expecting but this gives me more confidence in them knowing that they are well built. Would highly recommend this type of ladder if wanting something that goes neat and compac

So I got these because I had nowhere to store my long ladders other than out in the garden so I wanted a set that I could put in the shed without taking up to much space and I can also put them in the boot when I do jobs at other houses.

First thing that I noticed is that they have a nice wide step and combined with the stabilising bar, I feel really safe on them.

They are easy to extend to whatever length I need and have a brilliant soft close feature than means they close up with a slight pause for each rung to prevent anything like fingers getting trapped.

They feel strong, I’m 100kg and they felt safe with my weight on them.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersTop quality telescopic ladder, robust, safe and stable when assembled with the with stabiliser bar and used correctly. Make sure you always extend the ladder from the bottom first, opening and securing each section from bottom to top. Do NOT open the ladder from the top, it’s not safe and the ladder will collapse.
Very safe automatic closing system as well. Unlike other models that trap your fingers when closing the ladder, this one closes slower so to prevent injuries and avoid catching fingers in the rungs.
Easy to carry and store away. Probably one of the best telescopic ladder on the market. Totally worth the price.

This is great as I can store it away in the dry shed the rest of the time. It does flex a bit so follow the 4 up 1 out rule. Glad I paid the extra 10 and got the stability bar.
Not suitable for tradesman who needs regular, heavy use, wouldnt take the punishment I dont believe, plus they have to be kept clean and dry, and that wouldn’t happen in regular commercial use.

I have been looking for a telescopic ladder for some time. Many of the ladders I looked at seemed to compromise safety to reduce weight and were flimsy and narrow. This ladder is a little heavier but it is certainly strong and safe. It is also easy to use and to reduce the likelihood of the ladder slipping the safety bar is an additional feature many other ladders do not have.

It sets up quickly and is stable. It instantly retracts with the push of two slides. It’s soft closing so it neither slams into itself or catches your fingers. I only gave four stars for sturdiness because of my own nervousness when climbing because I weigh 98 Kgs so there’s more flex than there is with my extension ladder, but I’ve been up and down it several times and am becoming more confident so may upgrade that later. Well worth the money and long overdue design.

This is an excellent ladder. It’s easy to use, and with the stabilizer bar fitted it is much safer.
It has a soft close feature which should help the careless folk from breaking their fingers!
    Recommended.

Good ladder does the job and like the soft close option makes it easy to use n store

Note the extra bar does make it wider for storage but helps keep the ladder solid

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersI done my research regarding the various models of extendable ladders on the market and found it very confusing. So many similar models for wildly different prices and some with the same pictures even. Carefully reading the reviews and making my ultimate decision, I decided on this one. The things I liked was the ease of collapsing the ladder and the fact I could adjust the overall height. Very happy with what I received and I must say the first time going high up a ‘collapsible’ ladder is a little unnerving but each section snaps into place and 2 red locators indicate each level is locked securely. To collapse the ladder requires 2 buttons to be pushed in together which keeps your hands free of being trapped and allows the full ladder to collapse in a controlled way. I didn’t want a ladder I had to collapse one step at a time so happy with this function. The ladder is a little heavy but it is not an issue to me as it is manageable and the ease of storage more than makes up for it. The extension bar on the bottom makes the ladder feel extra secure but does add a little to the storage size. This can easily be removed for storage however if required, I probably wouldn’t use the ladder without it though.
Overall very happy and glad I spent a bit more to get the functions I were looking for. The ladder feels of great quality and have no doubt I will get many years of use out of it.

Don`t normally write reviews but felt I had to say that this product is superb. Everthing they state is correct.
If you need a good quality mobile ladder that easily stows away then look no further!

Excellent product and it’s as sturdy as hell. I’m 6’3″ and 17 1/2 stone and it supports my weight with ease. Easy to adjust and set up. Definitely recommend to spend a little more money than the cheaper versions.

Product is sturdy and easy to use. wanted a ladder that didn’t involve moving the caravan to get it out of the garage!
Little confusing that part of description described it as a loft ladder – which it obviously isn’t.

Excellent ladder for Motorhome cleaning duties and I use it for lift access too. If you are careful to read the instructions for use it is sturdy and not too heavy, looks like it will have a long life, good purchase.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersOk, so my experience with these ladders is a little mixed. I bought them for use inside in flat that has a high vaulted ceiling.
They reach the top of that vaulted ceiling, are quite light and reasonably easy to manhandle even fully extended and can be stored in a very small space. Those are the good points.
The not so good is that the ladders only work fully extended(maybe I missed this in the description) and they did not feel entirely sturdy when climbing up toward the top. I was hoping to be able to half extend them and use them in other areas of the flat for decorating and the likes but this is not possible.

The loft. Only issue I have, and not the fault of these ladders is the lift opening in my house is quite small so have put the ladders on a steeper angle than I would like. But they are a great set of ladders. Easy to store

It took a little while to gain confidence but now I’ve used it quite a bit I love it well made sturdy and easy to carry. It takes up no room just keep it clean as it’s telescopic and use as per the safety instructions it is a good product.

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersAbsolutely wonderful set of ladders.
    Extremely well made and sturdy.
Light weight and easy to carry both when fully extended and collapsed.
The clip and strap keeps everything tidied together and easy to transport.
The closing mechanism work like a dream and they feel as secure as standard ladders.
I bought these for easy access to my loft as the compact size the ladders reduce to means I can easily store them in an upstairs cupboard.
Great ladders at a really good price, really pleased with this purchase.

Light Weight, Sturdy and a Great Space Save

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersWe are glad that we chose this telescopic ladder over other similarly advertised ones.
The extra stabiliser bar is excellent, (make sure you order the right version in order to have the stabiliser bar).
The inclusion of the “soft close” function is a very nice feature. By just pushing the two black catches the ladder closes gently and safely, a section at a time, one after the other.
Storage is very good, with the strap holding everything in place, and ther is a useful hand-grip to carry it around.
The only small issues was when using it for the first time, one of the red locking button did not catch properly. Having seen that it had not “popped out”, in order to lock correctly. By giving it a firm pull everything went together properly and it has not happened again.
It is always best to quickly check that each red catch has locked correctly when you extend each section of the ladder.

Golden Review Award: 64 From Our UsersThree years ago, I bought a wonderful 3-section heavy duty Lyte ladder (9’6″) to do some work on our roof & eaves plus some tree cutting … The ladder was extremely heavy as you can imagine and it was almost impossible for me to manoeuvre the ladder when extended and in the vertical position … I didn’t use it after that and on one occasion even had to pay someone else to do a job at about fifteen feet … Last week, I decided to sell the big ladder and get one that would be suitable for work at about fifteen feet or less.

After some research, I decided on the Wolfwise 3.8m telescopic ladder particularly as it also had a stabiliser bar … I have tested the new ladder and am very pleased with it … The opening and closing actions are very smooth and the rungs click into place audibly on the way up … I think that if 3.8m (or less) is the height you need, then this ladder is a perfect choice … It will fit in the car boot very easily which is a bonus.

Lowering the ladder is simplicity itself .. Lean the ladder nearly vertically against a high wall or similar solid surface … Push the two catches in and the ladder commences to slide down in a sort of jerky fashion … It is not the rapid dangerous (finger nipping) drop as in some other types of telescopic ladder … Ideally the wall that you lean the ladder against should not be really rough as you might rub away the plastic tops of the ladder tubes … The smoother the wall, the smoother the ladder will drop down.

This ladder is not a flimsy lightweight ladder but is still easy enough for me to use and carry, even though I am now 81 years old … I can recommend this ladder in the 3.8m length since it has the stabilisers and it can also be easily used on any lower heights in about one foot (300mm) intervals … A strap is attached to hold the ladder in the closed position … Wonderful.

Golden Review Award: 23 From Our UsersNeeded a telescopic ladder to access very high windows in an atrium area of my house. After reading some reviews I ordered somewhat in trepidation. When the ladder arrived I found it to be very substantial, and we’ll constructed. I am a very big man and even working near the top of ladder at no time did it feel unsafe or wobbly. The mechanism for closing the ladder is very efficient and quite safe. I do sometimes wonder about my fellow man because the ladder was clearly labelled, safe and well constructed. All-in-all very pleased.
