Great kit for new solderers. The iron works well and heats up really quickly. The kit seems reasonably well put together, and while I had concerns about it feeling a little flimsy, no problems in real world use. The magnifying glass is so small it’s not really worth using, but given the competitive price, this is not much of a minus.

THIS IS IT (Mostly)
For the given price range this is the best soldering station I have used and I love it. It heats up really quick and has a lot of handy features which allows me to solder with more precision and ease. The only con would be is that the magnifying glass could be a bit bigger for better view but yeah apart from that LOVE IT and would definitely recommend it.
Nice unit, stable base, it works very well
A pretty large upgrade to my previous handheld solderer.
It makes things easier and keep all in one place, useful for people with very limited working space, such as myself.
I use it mainly for simple jobs, such as RC models electric connections.
It does have auto sleep, which is pretty handy.
The cable could be longer.
It does warm up fast. It also looses temp fast when soldering, though, and the display does not seem to reflect that. Not a huge problem, still better than my previous one, but one is better off letting it recover for a few seconds between solder applications. A bit of a pity that the power supply for the light is not independent, so turning it on will also start warming up the iron.

Good soldering iron but not the best , you get what you pay for .
I bought it for the magnifying glass - but its rubbish
I was really attracted to this because of the magnifying glass attachement with light, but its tiny and really hard to see through and also the light is a single tiny LED and you can hardly tell if its on or off.
But that aside, it heats up very quickly and soldering is excellent.
I do recommend this product, but i ended up buying an additional flexible lamp/magnifiying combo additional to this product.
Good try but not perfec
Ok first thought once opened, not the best instructions (at least give indication on how to assemble) for ref it’s best to look at Amazon picture in advert. Quality not too bad but again not perfect. i found that the crocodile clips don’t rotate (so holding wires together is a little tricky) Temperature control, very good. I would say that this is the best bit. solder tips, not the best for small parts, with all the temperature settings you can make these tips are too big. All in all. 3.5 stars i like it but not perfect smaller tips and croc clips that rotate and please simple but clear instructions.
Pretty comprehensive
All in all thus is a very good set, although the instructions for assembly leave a lot to be desired. They are sufficiently bad that I went back to the original Amazon listing to look at the photographs of the item so i coukd assemble it correctly. I’m still left with one screw over…
However, once assembled, it works very well, especially the arms to hold things while you solder. I must admit to getting things a little too hot to the extent the plastic on the jaws melted onto what it was soldering. This is probably down to my lack of skill here.
It does come with a magnifier and light, however this isn’t particularly bright or useful, so I have removed to give me more elbow room to work.
As I say, all pretty good, but I will need to make a box to store it in as it is too likely to get damaged if left out; having said that it will just about go back into the original cardboard box as an interim measure.
Very useful helping hand soldering statio
Having used a standalone single soldering iron for may years having one with 4 adjustable “helping hands” is a bit of a bonus.
The kit arrives needing minimal assembly.
Screw the solder reel holding roll onto the base.
Plug in the magnifying LED.
Screw in and tighten the 4 “helping hands”
And you are good to go.
There are 3 additional soldering tips supplied.
Only negatives are 1) the base unit has a somewhat frustratingly short main power cable another 0.5m would be ideal and 2) the illumination from the LED ring on the magifier isn’t that great. 3) A pull out drawer – or storage for the spare tips would have been ideal.
That said its a big step up from my single soldering iron and looking forward to get some use out of this.

Useful soldering station that works well

I have been using a similar soldering station for a few years now, I have to admit it’s one of the best purchases I’ve ever made as it’s far more useful than a standard soldering iron. This particular model, although not so big, does have a few extra features which I like. There is a flexible arm that has a large magnifying glass attached, this is very hand when soldering those extra small components. Another feature that I like is that there are 4 x flexible arms, each has a small crocodile clip on the end. Your workpiece can be attached to the arms and manipulated to the ideal working position, the workpiece is held securely whilst soldering takes place. Also on the side of the soldering station is a holder to place a roll of solder, you can pull out as much as you need.
The soldering station does need to be assembled first which only takes a few minutes, a spanner is provided for the task. The flexible arms need to be screwed into the main assembly and tightened with the spanner. On the right hand side is a pull-out drawer where the cleaning sponge is housed.
There are 3 power settings that are selectable, each designed for different uses. Along with the power settings you also have a temperature dial. Set the desired temperature on the display, the lower display shows the desired temperature, the upper display shows the current temperature.
Although this appears well made and seems to work well, I was a little disappointed to find the 4 x supplied soldering tips are a little too big for the soldering work that I carry out. I mostly use a small pointed tip which is not included in this set. If working on circuit boards and small projects the fine pointed tip is essential, the larger tips can do damaged if care is not taken. Strangely the Amazon listing shows the fine pointed tip in the photos but none were included.
Overall though, despite my having to purchase some more soldering tips, this is a nice soldering station that has some handy accessories include.

Generally a good solder station, one tip missing and oor magnifying galssglass
My old Weller solder gun was finally running to the end of its useful life and I was delighted to receive this soldering station by YIHUA. IT really has almost everything I will need to more intricate soldering jobs, excluding the all important desoldering tool.
The kit comes with many accessories, including different tips of different sizes, and I really liked the addition of the helping hands add on. These can be so useful when soldering wires to each other or holding components in place while soldering. I just hope the tips are silicone and not plastic!
Heat up time is excellent, really quick and so easy to monitor the temperature. This is really important when soldering components that require careful heating so as not to damage them. The kit also comes with some lead free solder and a neat reel and holder to dispense the solder efficiently.
The magnifying glass was not that useful to me, as it’s too small to really see the work. I prefer the full visor magnifier that covers a wider scope of work.
The kit arrives with simple instruction leaflet and interestingly this contains a chart of five tips with style and specifications. I was only able to find three tips in the bag, plus one fitted to the solder gun, so where is the fifth tip?
Generally a good work station for intricate soldering jobs. Not as powerful or rugged and my weller, but more suitable to electronics assembly and repair than beefy soldering jobs.
Some nicely designed features - and a couple of issues
Overall, I’m very pleased with this soldering iron set.
It heats up very quickly. The temperature is easily adjusted and the “helping hands” – bendy arms with little clamps on the end, are perfect for holding a PCB in place.
The illuminated magnifying glass was a nice idea but, in practice, I found slightly disappointing, as it’s very small, not particularly bright and does distort the magnified image significantly.
My main disappointment though was that the user guide shows a set of 5 interchangeable soldering tips, whereas my set only arrived with 4 – the smallest precision tip was not included!
What a shame, as that is the tip I would probably use the most. I will see if I can source one from elsewhere.
If all 5 tips had been included, I would certainly have rated this as 5 stars.
I’m still mostly satisfied with it though and managed to complete a soldering job (PCB for a micro synthesizer) with the next smallest tip this afternoon.

If you search on Ebay UK for Yihua soldering iron tips, there is a set of 5, which includes the small precision tip, for 3.94, including postage.

i,m learning to solder and this soldering station has made the whole proses a lot easier. its a lovely bit of kit . so if anyone wants a good soldering station for a really good price i would say buy one of these, keep up the good work
very good
bought this for just doing domestic work and it does it fine, along with the accessories it comes with, well worth the money
pleased with the item.
Pros: gets hot up to temperature very fast. Holder is secure and guarded, temperature control is excellent, solder and holder work well. A small footprint for desk space optimization, light magnify lense, wire holders, settings for quicker working.
Cons: the mains plug is short, the wire holders (crocodile clips) aren’t as stiff for setting positions as I want, the magnify lense light isn isolated from main switch, although it has its own switch meaning heating up iron if you only wanted to use the light for other uses. I’d have liked tool bit holders on the unit for the extra bits.
Overall I was pleased with this unit and I think it offers great features, not all the best but worth having regardless. I’d recommend it though I am a novice user.
Replacement for my dying soldering statio
My old station had to go as it was out of order.
I used this new one for my RC car and drone projects but it can be used for any small soldering.
All in all, for the price, it’s a good item, comes with 4 soldering tips and lead-free wire.
Just make sure you use the wrench to install the arms and they will stay in place. don’t over-tighten them though or you might brake the case.
May it last as long as my old one.

Functional + Acceptable Quality
I was a little bit disappointed that the majority of this piece of equipment was plastic as it feels light and cheap, the solder that comes in the box is relatively useless and does not melt well at all once it has been placed on a joint. Would still recommend for anybody looking to solder at a hobbyist level.

Got this for my hubby & he loves it – he particularly likes the temperature control & says it makes easy work of his soldering & was definitely value for money. Overall he is impressed with it & would recommend this soldering iron/station.

Well after looking at various reviews about cheep soldering irons i couldn’t make my.mind up. Then. I spotted this one. Although the crock clips on bendy arms are a bit of a gimic they are actually really useful. The magnifying glass however is not.
I have been really impressed so far with it. Heats up instantly, temp control is very versatile. Supplied tips not tried except for the normal cone which is a little fat but ok. On the whole for someone who used from top price Weller irons to cheap Draper rubbish. I have found this so far a pleasure to use.

Almost perfec
Positives:
Does what is says on the tin, looks the same, and can reach the advertised Max temperature.
Negatives:
You can calibrate perfectly only one of the programmed positions 1, 2 or 3, but once you calibrate exact temperature for one of them, the rest will differ +/- 20C, which is not the end of the world once you know what is the exact heat output measured with multimeter thermo couple so you add a bit more when needed. For that reason I take away one star.
Oh, and don’t hesitate to throw away the garbage solder spool it comes with. It’s the worst I’ve seen. Get you something with at least 0.7% Ag (silver) and have fun.

Quite impressed with this soldering iron station, ideal for small jobs. Impressed with the heat up time-almost instant. Liked the magnifying glass and l.e.d. puts a little light on the subject.

Once calibrated, it's quite easy to use
Calibration was hard without a decent thermometer (used a cooking one) but once done, it’s good enough for solder.
The initial setting was too low, but at maximum setting it works on both lead and lead free solder. I’m guessing this is intentional, to avoid accidents.
The rest is pretty good too, solid kit for a decent price.

The iron station works fine – it heats up quickly and soldered well. My only negative is that the helping hand arms aren’t great and don’t tend to stay where you put them (they are quite springy). Not major as I use an external helping hand tool but they aren’t great if you plan on using them to hold wires etc.
Otherwise this seems a good quality unit.

Heats up quick, but doesn’t looks like it showing exact temperature. Maybe it show temperature of heating element. Firstly I thought what it takes about 4min to heat up, but now I menton what it heats in minute. I amn not using hands of it, so cannot say anithing about them. I think the only trouble is: unusual soldering tips. As they are bigger than 900M. But when I wrote to the customer support, they help me out.
Also soldering station is small and don’t take alot of space. Everithing is organised as it should be. I am happy with this purchase.
Quality bit of kit at a bargain price!
Used this to install new pickups and wiring on a few guitars. Did the job without dramas, easy and accurate to use especially where fine soldering is needed. Light years ahead of my ancient, basic iron with a power lead and a fat tip with no temperature control ready to burn your house down!
