Super easy to use once you perfect your technique. For me the lightweight was critical as my normal sharpening stones are just too heavy to carry in my backpack. This solves the issue and I can carry this sharpener without issue. It would be ideal if the fine side were 1000 but it does the job of enabling me to keep my edges nice and sharp – I often use my trouser leather belt to finish off with a polish.
Essential garden aid.
Lives in the toolbag in my greenhouse where it does a great job of keeping a variety of garden tools sharp and effective. Didn’t expect it to be as frequently used, but turns out to be a very modesty-priced essential.
I kept my expectations low because it looked flimsy and small, but it actually sharpens well! Used it on a cleaver and a pair of scissors and I’m impressed. Not professional grade, of course, but decent enough for home use.

All you’ll ever need
Great little sharpener. As a carpet fitter, I used to get thru hundreds of blades. Not now, I can get it sharper the the manufactured edge.
Pocket friendly.
I got this to add to my hiking/bushcraft kit. I haven’t used the 400 grit side, but the 600 is surprisingly good at keeping a blade touched up in the wild.
