Installed on a pole mount in the gable end of my house.

I was previously using an omni-directional antenna and the connection just wasn’t stable.

I Installed the Bluespot directional antenna and speeds have gone through the roof on 4G to over 100mbps (previously getting 20mbps – on a good day!)

It has also improved my upload speed from 2.5mbps to over 20mbps!

One thing to mention is I have a clear line of sight to the mast so it was really easy for me to install with no fuss.

    Cannot recommend this product enough.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIf you are in a rural location and know the direction of your mast buy this antenna.

I run a TP-LINK Archer MR600 with a EE 4G SIM card. I was using an externallt mounted omni directional poynting 4g xpol a0001 antenna.

I mounted the Bluespot in the same place as the previous antenna and located my antenna using cell mapper, Google maps and a pair of binoculars to confirm. I spotted the top of the mast 3 miles away and pointed the antenna in the henaetsl direction.

I twiddled with alignment until i found the best signal strength.

the difference in signal strength and speed speak for themselves.

    See the attached pictures.

    Amazing, totally recommend.

    Amazing antenna.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI ordered this Bluespot antenna to use here in rural Devon with a tp-link router. It was really as a last resort as I couldn’t get internet speeds above about 7mps on BT adsl or 10mps on 4g with the original antenna supplied by a leading 4g internet installer. I changed to this one and and after a bit of tweaking and pointing it in the direction of the local vodafone mast, I am now getting speeds regularly above 50mps up to around 100mps. I’d never seen such good TV streaming quality before! I was helped greatly by Alex who sent me a map of local masts and instructions and other useful information. All part of the service! Excellent service and excellent antenna .Thanks very much Alex and Bluespot. I’d never seen such good TV streaming quality before!

I couldn’t get any web page to load in a remote location. But I’ve just had a video conference today in the same spot after installation and I seemed to have the best connection! I’m not a tech engineer and the support was great and helped me achieve high speed internet. Well done guys, top work all round! (I don’t usually leave reviews but felt obligated to after this has worked so well). Cheers

I bought the Bluespot 4g antenna and it works perfectly. I’ve had antennas previously as I love in a really rural hilly location, and Bluespot works better than any I’ve tried before. Great, quick and easy virtual survey provided by the company to show the direction to mount it in, and their customer service seems to be excellent.

I was skeptical about how effective this would be but was desperately in need of permanently boosting the signal received by my tp link MR6400 4g router. I was lucky if I got 1 MB download speed and my Internet was always reported as ‘very slow’. Came with instruction manual, Simple set up, just remove original antennas, screw the cables into the ariel ports of the router and place the antenna in a good position. A bit of trial and error but now my signal nearly hits 10 MB and Internet speed reports as ‘fine’. May not sound much but a significant 10x improvement. Absolute life saver no more spinning circles waiting for things to load. Be careful to order the right one, there is a pole mount or a wall mount option.

I live in a rural area where signal is not the best, but using this antenna and setting the router setting to external antenna it boosted the signal. I use Huawei B535 router. Something to consider is to try out different sim cards different providers and see which works best for the area I use Smarty which Is Three 3 works really good, usually get 60Mbps speeds, sometimes even faster.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought this with the goal of increasing reception range for our mobile internet connection in our motorhome. With the antenna fixed to a 2M pole, fixed at the other end to a pair of dual-cup suction grips, I’ve been able to reliably and sturdily mount it to the side of the van while parked on sites.

Signal strength and connection speed is very much improved by using this – better than a motorhome/caravan omnidirectional dome antenna by far, and better than the router’s internal antenna by a country mile. I’ve been able to make a solid connection to a mast using this antenna and my router, when my phone and the router (on internal antenna) failed to find a signal on their own.

Some things to note from my experiementation:
    – This antenna is HIGHLY directional. If it’s not working for you, you’re probably not aligned properly. There’s an app available on Android called CellMapper that can help you locate where your nearest mast is, and from that you can align it much more precisely.
    – 4G/LTE is less fussy, but LTE-A and 5G more or less require an uninterrupted line-of-sight to the mast – even trees are enough to block a 5G signal. You may not get LTE-A or 5G if you can’t see the tower, but you should have no problem with 4G or LTE.

Attached photo shows the setup I put together that can be packed away into the van when on the move, fixed to a window while I was testing it. Suction cups can be found on amazon by searching ‘Incutex Dual Suction Cups’ and the hardware to mount them to the pole by searching ‘Shelly Mast Clamp Bracket’. Pole was from B&Q, and of course, the antenna comes with its own pole-mounting hardware.

Great product, does the job brilliantly.

I live in an area with very good 5G signal, and can get about 150mbps down and 30up with my Three 5G hub positioned where I want my router to be, on a bookshelf and not in the window. That’s good enough for most people and I could have just lived with it. However, after testing the router in a window position, I was getting 500 down and 60 up, so I thought I would give the antenna a try just so I can keep the router in a more sensible position.

I live only about 200 metres from the mast with direct line of sight, so it was easy to get the position right. I now get 600 down and 150 up! That was at peak times so I imagine it will get better.

Pros: works as advertised, support over email is great, seems good quality.

Cons: Cables are fixed so you are stuck with 5m. This is inconvenient if you need less, and you will need a fairly expensive cable extension if you need more. I needed about 2m more length to get through the wall and into the bookshelf. I ended up getting some LMR195 cable off eBay which works fine. There is no need to get the very very expensive LMR200 or even 400 cable unless you are in need of a very long length. I’m losing about 2dB across that length and paid only 20. The 400 cable costs 90 for the same length and you lose 0.6dB. not necessary if your signal is good to start with.

    Recommendations/info:
You will need 5mm shotgun cable clips to attach to the wall.

Buy a very cheap, very small length ‘pigtail’ patch cable. Best you can get is RG316. Attach this to your router, support with cable straps, and then attach the antenna cables. The antenna cables are heavy duty and will damage the ports on the router easily due to the weight of them.

I mounted the antenna on the wall just outside my home office, I didn’t even aim it at the Cell Tower [although this would probably be a good idea] and connected the cables to the back of my Huawei B535-333. I made sure to change the settings in the router to use the “External Antenna” and my speeds increased from 5Mbps up to between 20Mbps to 30 Mbps about 4 to 6 times faster. I am about 3KM from the closest Cell Tower and don’t actually have a clear line of sight to it. I am actually about to purchase a second antenna for my Huawei B818-263 home router. Amazing results, this has worked perfectly for my application. I would highly recommend this product to anyone wanting to improve their 4G or 5G router speeds.

    Amazing Results!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is a great antenna…perfect for rural locations with poor mobile reception.

I’m a software developer who works entirely from home, and I’ve recently moved to a very rural location in South West Scotland, no cable broadband available, and with a relatively poor mobile signal. The only option I had was to use a mobile router (using a data sim card) and try and improve my mobile signal using some type of antenna.

After much research, I decided on the Bluespot outdoor antenna – it had good reviews, was a reasonable price, and good customer service. And what a great antenna it is!

The customer service was really good. I sent off a request for a site survey based on my post code, and very quickly got a full and comprehensive response…giving me my 2 nearest mobile phone masts, and what direction and height to mount the antenna in order to get the optimal signal. As the antenna is directional, the best connection will be with line-of-sight to the nearest mast, and the survey took all of this into account.

I mounted the antenna about 3-4 meters above the ground using an old TV antenna pole (image is attached)…and using a compass, made sure it was pointed in the right direction. This was the hardest part of setting it all up – fortunately I am used to working at heights and with ladders, so for me this was no problem…but if in doubt, please get someone qualified to work at heights for the installation.

The connection from the antenna to the router was just a matter of removing the original “bunny ear” antennas, and connecting the antenna (same fittings). And that was it…no other config or setup necessary.

As a result, my connection speeds have improved dramatically:
    – Download: <10MB/s to +50MB/s
    - Upload: <1MB/s to +30MB/s

The internet connection I am getting is faster than my previous BT Broadband cable, and allows me to work from home (including zoom and team video meetings), and in addition, to stream HD content throughout the house to multiple devices.

I cannot rave enough about this antenna, and if I could give more than 5 stars, I would!!!

NB. In case anyone is interested, I am using an unlimited data sim card from EE (35 per month) with a TP Link Archer MR400 Wifi Mobile Router.

Very good piece of kit - a real improvement to my internet connectio

Having purchased many different antenna over the years this is the best one I have bought by far, it is bit pricey compared to others but well worth the money.

I have had this installed for the last 3 months now and my speeds have massive increased since using this I have gone from 10 – 20mbs 4g speeds with in intermitting 4g+ which was still only 20 – 30mbs speeds to around 60 – 120mbs 4g+ speeds which vary depending the time of day it seems, but it usually stays around 95mbs which considering what I previously had and using the Huawei B535 4g+ router this is a game changer for me.

The only couple of issues I have had it sometimes drops the 4g+ signal and changes to 4g only which is pretty terrible still but this is only occasionally which is rectified by a router reboot, but this could just be the fact that the antenna is not quite in the right location (as I just stuck it onto the wall outside my house and hoped for the best).
Secondly I wish the cables were slightly longer however I have heard the longer the cables are the more the speed drops. You can also purchase cable extensions but again this may impact the speeds you get.

Overall I would recommend this product to anyone who is struggling with thier mobile broadband speeds and signal.

One of the best antenna's out there

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersMy scenario was that I have a static caravan in a rural location by the sea. The 4G signal was pretty poor with most suppliers and as I wanted to use the caravan as a ‘working from home’ location I invested in an Archer MR600 router. Up to then the signal was no better that 4-6Mb/s. With the router this increased to around 10-12MB/s. Still not brilliant. So I took the plunge and purchased this aerial.

What a difference. The speed was constantly around 60MB/s. The site survey was really useful to align it (tip: check your trash folder lol) and I was very pleased.

The supplier was Virgin (EE). Sadly though I was sent a new SIM from Virgin as part of their move to Vodafone. The result was that the speed, even with the aerial, has dropped to around 10MB/s. To prove that was the issue I purchased an EE SIM and a little data and tested that. Speeds of 75MB/s (and even up to 95MB/s were possible but once the Virgin/Vodafone was reinstalled it went back down to around 10MB/s.

Given the success I did have with the Virgin/EE solution I cannot fault this product at all and the support I have had from the company when I reported the speed loss was magnificent (including, without prompting them telling me that Vodafone may be an issue in that area and the solution is to move to EE),

So bear that in mind if you purchase this.

I am using it with a Netgear LB2120 – no issues. You may need to experiment (swap antenna leads!) to get best speeds.

This aerial is designed to be mounted outside in a fixed direction – my experience is that it does give a very significant and consistent performance boost on 4G, as claimed by the supplier.

    It has survived Storm Arwen.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersConverted from fixed line broadband to a SIM card based broadband. I have tried this with both 4G and 5G routers and have to say it works impressively.
EE 5G – on my phone would get 72 mbps, the router without antenna 60 mbps and with this antenna up to 170 mbps
Smarty 4G – on my phone would get 33 mbps, the router without antenna 35 mbps and with this antenna up to 72 mbps
it comes with all the fixing you require to pole mount.

After struggling to get a decent mobile WiFi at our static caravan, we’ve finally got it. Have previously tried the Three 5g hub as a neighbour 100m away he’s fast speeds, not a flicker where we were. Had to cancel the contract within cool off period. After lots of research, found the bluespotnet 4g/5g antenna and took out another Three 5g contract, making sure I got the slightly older 5g hub that has two antenna connectors. Fitted the bluespot antenna to the TV aerial pole on the caravan, had to get 3m extension cables as the 5m supplied wasn’t long enough to route through cable access and to the hub location. Without, I was getting 4g around 3mbps speeds, connected the bluespot and last weekend was obsessed with running speed tests….. averaging just below 200mbps, and had speeds up to 300, amazing speeds, can actually stream Netflix, Amazon etc without buffering, WiFi Internet was floorless. Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersSo this is a truly great antenna and is capable of giving an OK to decent signal strength. Unfortunately, the gain isn’t high enough for my needs.
Likewise, it was beaten by cheap chinese LDPA antenna which was really quite disappointing so my search for an excellent, directional antenna continues.
This is a special case though as I’ve got 2 masts within 33 degrees of each other, one slow, one fast and so need a higher gain and directional ability than what this offers.

I bought this along with a Huawei B535 to replace a cobbled-together system supplying internet connection to a rural location (no chance of a suitable BT connection). The existing system (4G dongle + cheap external antenna) gave varying performance, but averaged in use to ~10meg down / up and occasionally dropped. No chance of streaming iPlayer / Netflix. Zoom / Teams calls were painful.

The new Huawei router improved things instantly. But the biggest improvement was connecting this antenna and pointing to where we thought the mobile tower was. Suddenly we were getting 5bars and 40+meg download speeds.

A bit of experimentation later (helped by the folk at Blinkenlight) and we are now getting 90+meg download and 40meg upload. A transformational change. Ping times are ~40ms. Almost like using a fixed connection. We ended up with the antenna rigged up in our roofspace, so we would probably get further improvement by mounting externally on a pole.

Very well made but the signal amplification is not what is expected. Helpful staff.

I hold the UK record for the highest install (42 ft mast) with shielded cable extensio

This is a very useful device for increasing your 4G or 5G signal if you are using mobile broadband through a wireless router at home (or even when in a static position such as a hotel with your wireless router).

My internet is provided by Three UK using the 4G spectrum. Although my router has mainly displayed a 5 bar signal, closer investigation using the associated router app had shown that this was not the case.

On plugging in this antennae, the app showed a much better signal strength. I use this antennae indoors with it placed on a windows sill. It does not look out of place either, especially that there is an ornament in front of it.

I had considered previously installing an external antennae – just one of the plug ins that go on the back of a wireless router. However, concerns about the performance of those had put me off. This antennae is described as suitable for all routers and comes complete with the necessary plugs/adapters to fit different types of connections to your router.

The cables are 5 m in length, so this allows placement in a variety of locations. A simple fixing kit is also supplied that should allow easy mounting on the wall or on a pole. This antennae does not require any external power source.

Do note that this antennae will not work for your mobile phone signal – it will only enhance the mobile signal to the router that you have attached it to. I have not used this in a 5G area, but as the specifications state that it is 5G compatible and it clearly works with the 4G spectrum, I have no doubt that it will. Plus, being suitable for 4G and 5G, this antennae should have a long life. I note that Bluespot also make a min 5G antennae that is smaler, so if you are only using 5G, this could be a better option.

If you are installing this outside, there is a free online survey available. I did not take advantage of this as I was able to obtain an enhanced signal by using the antennae indoors.

This antennae has certainly improved the signal that I am getting for 4G mobile broadband, and it is future-proof for 5G so I can recommend it.

Easy setup, simply attach to the back of your 4G/5G router using the default or included adapters. Make sure your router has external antenna’s selected (either via toggle switch or software switch).

In my case I am using the Zyxel LTE5388-M804 which has a physical toggle switch on the back to swap between Internal and External antenna. My SINR went from 10dB to 20dB which increased my average download speed from 60Mb’s to closer to around 80/100Mb’s.

Something i’d like to note and I found rather irritating is the cabling is very rigid which makes moving the cabling difficult, I found the cables would often get caught on each other and tangled which was difficult to untangle due to the rigid nature of the cables. I get that these cables probably have to be tough because of being used outdoors but because they come coiled up in the box it caused the cabling to naturally want to take the shape. I found myself needing to fight with the cabling more than I feel I should have.

All that said though the cable is nice and long so i’d doubt you’d find yourself running out of length if you’re planning on running this somewhere far away from the router itself!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThe unit itself does exactly what they say it does but the reason I’m leaving a review is because the aftersales service is second-to-none. I live in a remote area (hence the need for this…) and the site survey was extraoridinarily comprehensive and professionally written. I was sceptical as to what it would involve but the reality was far, far better than I could have hoped for.

The reception is rock-solid now and I’m getting speeds of up to 50Mbps, which is amazing and so much faster (and reliable) than before plugging this in.

Very pleased with product which I had professionally installed on my mobile home plus the email support from the manufacturer in terms of advice and antenna positioning to nearest mast was outstanding and super quick.

My signal strength / reliability jumped from 50 to 100%. In addition, they will go out of their way to help with your setup and local providers that might be more beneficial to go with.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersPurchased this expecting to see a moderate gain in signal. We’re about 1.2km from the mast with zero line of sight and buildings in the way, plus down into a valley where the mast is located.

Testing it internally by the window, didn’t really give much difference from the internal antenna on the Huawei H112-370 on 3, but once lined up outside, this antenna shines.

Thought the signal strength dipped slightly on both 4 & 5G, the download availability increased vastly and I think that the overall signal is more stable too.

I’ve plenty experience of installing long range WiFi bridges upto 15k, so wasn’t expecting much out of a panel antenna, but if you have a need for mobile internet and have a unit that takes the connections for this unit, it’s a no brainier of a purchase.

Double the speed makes for an ideal produc

I would defiantly recommend this product it works really well, its well made and the support was excellent and very quick. I bought it for our Church because the fixed line internet was terrible (500kB upload/ 5MB download) which made it impossible to do any live streaming. The mobile phone signal was very bad inside the building and with a 4G router, it worked but was unstable. I installed this antenna from Bluespot outside and we are now achieving unto 40MB upload and 70MB download. When you buy this antenna if you email bluespot your location they will send you back the basestation locations, directions and elevation to optimise the position. Defiantly worth the money.

I bought this because we have pretty weak 4G signal in our area. It’s fine outside, but indoors it’s rubbish and our Three 4G hub struggles to give us decent internet.

The antenna is large, but outside on a wall (cables run back in under a window) it looks fine and blends in. It’s so much faster – we’re getting 28mb download now, on three (and it was less than 5 before). A load better than the rubbish antennas they ship with the router.

Huge increase in speed and stability

I live in a “not spot” area in an apartment building and managed to get the antenna mounted on my balcony. I ran the cables through a hole in the wall and WOW. The signal bars are about the same but the speed test results are almost twice as fast – almost 150Mb/s. It’s also much more reliable!

Note – make sure you get a router that takes “SMA” antenna connections (or buy an adapter for your router). Our router from EE took “TS9” connections.

    DOUBLED OUR SPEED!!!
