The blanket feels amazing, so soft and keeps us really warm. Cant believe it cost only 4p per hour.. We now keep warm with blanket for 2 hours then turn heating on for 2 hours to warm up house. Saving us lots of money.. 🙂

I got this 6 weeks ago and it’s so toasty and warm, I lay it under my duvet before I get into bed and instantly warms me up, I take it to work to put over me, Saturday night movie night me and the dogs share it, I’ll be taking it camping in the summer too!! It heats up fast and can get too hot so the mid setting is about right.

The missis loves the electric throw, especially during this cold time of the year.
We both have different internal thermostats, so this is perfect, she is nice and toasty on the sofa and I’m not passing out due to the central heating being turned down
Cheaper models don’t have as many heating elements and I’ve read a lot are failing within the guarantee period.
Not the cheapest of throws but I gues you get what you pay for.
    Would definitely recommend

I bought this item last year for myself and it’s great and keeps me really warm . Decided to buy 4 heated blankets for Xmas presents this year for my family but went with a cheaper version as this one had doubled in price ! But they were just not warm enough so sent them all back and reordered this more expensive one and all the family think they are absolutely great !! They heat up quickly and are lovely and soft .

I don’t know why I didn’t buy this sooner! This blanket is super soft and looks like a throw, so it blends in well with our decor. The heating options offer a range of warmth and it heats up very quickly. It has a timer function and will turn itself off after a set number of hours for safety. I ended up buying another one for my Nan as it is super easy to use and makes a great present. The only problem with it is I never want to leave it, it’s too cosy!!

I got this for my mother who was feeling cold when sitting, even with the central heating on. This is a more efficient (and cheaper) way of getting extra heat into your body than turning up the room temperature. A big on / off switch and heat setting buttons make it easy to use. Once warmed up on the high setting she is able to turn down the temperature and still keep as warm as toast.

With energy prices rising and temperatures falling, I decided to throw caution to the wind and buy this throw. I’m so glad that I did. It has become my one of my favourite things.

The throw is soft and comforting. The heat kicks in quite quickly so that you don’t have to wait too long to warm up.

There are seven heat settings as well as high and low. The timer allows for 1 to 9 hours. So even if you accidentally leave it on it will eventually cut out.

The electric lead is a little short so I do need to use an extension.

I haven’t washed it yet so can’t comment but I would hope this would not be an issue.

Overall I’m very pleased with this product and it has really come into it’s own during this current bitterly cold spell in England.

My new fav thing! So much so, I ordered one each for my parents for cmas. Its amazing as I wfh/eves/live alone so this saves me heating my 3 bed/2bath crib. I have only had it circa 10 days so dont know how its ‘really’ eating the elec (it cant be worse than heating via GCH, can it lol). Also theres NO guarantee which worries me as some reviews (I relied on in buying all three) say it goes ‘off’ after a while. the lack of guarantee worries me in that respect xx

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBought this when the temp really dropped at the beginning of December. Almost bought one (not the same brand) from CostCo back in September for a fraction of the price, but didn’t. Anyway, took the hit and bought this one. Everywhere was sold out, so it did limit my choice somewhat. However, I wanted a heated throw and that is what I have. Works like a dream. The ‘Warm Up’ mode is quick and in not time the throw is lovely and warm. This lasts for one hour, then will shut off, but by then you will have turned it down. I use it in the day, but have stopped taking it to bed as it is just too warm.

Regarding costs. It’s 120w so the Electricity cost will dictate the daily running costs, however I had it on for over 10 hours yesterday and didn’t notice my Smart Meter going off like a rocket!

Early days so how long it lasts I can’t comment on but, so far, so good!

I don’t usually write reviews, but with this I thought I would. It’s super soft, and amazingly cosy! Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersWith soaring energy costs I decided to look for a cheaper cost alternative to keep myself and husband warm while sitting in the evening and giving the heating a break. Having scoured the reviews of several different throws this looked one of the best options. Granted it was a bit more than I really wanted to pay but having used the throw twice already I am pleased I went for this option. The blanket in itself is lovely and soft and quite thick so without any warmth coming through it you feel cosy however, put the heating part on and it takes a normal throw to a whole new level. So far we have found it heats up really quickly and is working really well. So far we are delighted with this purchase and am now thinking of buying other family members their own heated throws.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersWas researching these blankets for a long time. Bought this mainly to sit and watch tv in the evenings as don’t want to always put heating on before bed. It’s brilliant. Really big, soft and cosy. Warms up really fast. I start it on 4 then turn it down to 1 or 2. Feel so warm sometimes have to take the blanket off. Note that it is big, I find it bulky to handle but I am petite. Slightly cumbersome to fold and keep tidy as mine just sits on the back of sofa. But so glad I got it. I got mine on offer so even better value for money.

Bought this to use as we are trying to reduce our heating bills. It is cosy and keeps both of us surprisingly warm. The controls are easy to understand. The only critisism is the heat is not spread evenly across the blanket but it is large enough to cover to people and to keep us warm. it appears to be cheap to run.

This throw is incredibly soft and lightweight, not forgetting how quickly it heats up. The temperature control has a great range of settings so keeping it on a temperature that suits you is not a problem. Since purchasing this throw I’ve had my central heating turned off a lot more which has undoubtedly saved me a small fortune in my energy bills so a winner all round.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersLove snuggling up under this blanket. It’s soft and cosy and the level of heat settings is good. Only issue is that it doesn’t seem to heat up evenly across the blanket. However, it still keeps me nice and warm and when I get too hot it’s easy enough to turn the heat down. Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersMy Dad is not in good health, he’s had a big stroke years ago, but moves around less these days & was feeling cold even in warm room & would turn up the heating, everyone else was then to hot & the bill was going up! Found this on Amazon & purchased the 1st one in Dec 2020, it was an instant hit, Dad could warm himself & not the house, he finds it very easy to operate even with his arthritic fingers. 9 settings means he can find the perfect temperature & its nice to see Mum & Dad snuggling under it whilst watching tv of an evening. Super soft, cosy & a nice weight.
Soon purchased for a friend in exactly the same position as my Dad & he is also super pleased with it.
With energy prices shooting up constantly I’ve just purchased another 2 for anyone in the family to use.
Highly recommend, cheap to use & far cheaper than heating the whole house to a high temperature & to top it all they are washable.
We had a problem with the 1st blanket within a year of use, contacted the seller & they sent a replacement straight away. No problems with any since.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe first thing that struck me was the size as I’d been looking at super king. This realistically is a bit smaller than that. I’d call it double bed size. You’d have to be pretty close to use on the sofa and am not sure it would cover your feet depending on which way round you have it.
It’s lovely and fleecy and warm when say on top of it. Warm enough for bed once it’s had a short time to warm up.
Overall a decent buy as wanted heat from above not below ( electric blanket). Does exactly what it says on the description.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersWe bought two of these heated throws as an experiment in reducing heating bills – i.e. heat the person not the space. Even without the power on, they are very warm.

In high power mode they get very warm (for us). In the lowest setting they work very well for us. The timer is very useful and with the timer set to one hour, they get warm enough to keep you warm for the evening without further heating.
The cables are long enough – effectively working over about 2m, but we do need to use extension given our room dimensions and layout.
You do need to take care not to “scrunch up” the throw and shorten the life of the heating elements, but the throw is flexible.
The only issue is how to position the throw so the cable and control unit are in the right place for you and don’t get entangled with you when you stand up. Once you’ve figured that out, it is fine.

In terms of durability, I can’t comment as we have not had it long enough.

In terms of energy saving, bearing in mind this October (2022) in the UK has been mild, we have been able to set our central heating at 19 degC in the evening (when we need heating the most) and together with warmer knitwear, keeping room doors shut to stop air circulation / drafts etc. – our current heating use is about a quarter of our average October use compared to the previous 4 years.

I’m pleased we bought this product.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersBeautifully soft and keeps you very warm. Temperature gets quite hot at max. The low is great just to keep away the cold. I do wish they would make these with natural fibres as it does make you sweat so I have to try to throw it off if I am nodding off.
If the company happen to read this, one made with cotton would be fantastic and I don’t know why they don’t seem to be made.
My only problem is that I don’t want to take it off my bed to wash it but that is testament to how much I love it.
I am perfectly comfortable with it on at a low setting and I think it will save a lot of money on heating with prices being the way they are and actually the reason that I bought it.
It is big enough to wrap right round me when I am lying down but I am quite slim so if you are a big person I would buy a bigger size than the standard. I realise it isn’t meant to be wrapped round you but that’s how you get really cosy 🙂 Enjoy peeps

A lovely comfy throw for cold weather evenings the only criticism I have, is the heating element in the throw miss the far edges of the throw. When chilly I can wrap this around my body, it’s long enough to wrap around my feet as well. I used it once on top of my bed when a bit chilly. Very pleased with this. My dog loves it as well, hence him sitting on it by my feet.

    So efficient and comfy.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOverall am pleased
There’s nothing remote about the so called remote
It’s attached to blanket & rather fiddly as you need to position where you can access
    Warms up quickly
    Quite heavy
Unsure if good value for money
    Cheaper than heating house though!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this for a friend. This is a lovely snug blanket but feels thin. The heating element goes almost the whole size of the blanket, which is good, but the wires themselves feel very thin, not as heavy duty as in my one. I hope it lasts.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersPerfect. Soft, large enough to cover 2 adults on the sofa and easy to operate. I love this throw, it wasn’t the cheapest and I was worried I was going to regret spending in the higher price bracket but I needn’t have, it’s SO cosy and gets so warm on the highest setting that I can’t see me needing to ever use it on full. Really glad I bought it, and since I did, 3 of my family and friends have bought it after trying mine. I have worked out the hourly use based on the October electricity price
cap on an online calculator and it was under 5p an hour which is much cheaper than having my heating on. I would have no hesitation in recommending this product.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersIt’s pretty good. I find myself using it daily now the weather has turned for the worse. It warms up quickly and is a far cheaper alternative to turning the heating on.

The blanket has a few issues:
The wires don’t seem to heat up in some places, so some parts of the throw are cold while others are very hot (too hot to have directly against the skin in the hottest sections).
The control panel is needlessly bulky and made of a cheap plastic. This can make it difficult putting the throw on the bed, for example, as it dangles in inconvenient positions and gets smacked on the side of the bed if the throw is moved at all. I would prefer it to be about 80% smaller if possible.
It’s a bit smaller than I’d have liked. The dimensions are clear, so the size isn’t a surprise, but as a man nearing 6ft I find I can’t quite wrap the throw around myself well when sat at my desk and need a few more inches.

That said, I found this blanket cheaper than others on the market and you get what you pay for. The throw is still good value for more and, despite the flaws, I love this throw and don’t know how I would get through the winter without it. I use it in the lounge, study and in bed. The range of heat settings are perfect and I love the safety functions (auto off and auto reduce timers).

Overall, I would buy it again and I do recommend the product, but I would encourage reviewing the size in advance to make sure it’s suitable to your needs.

Golden Review Award: 24 From Our UsersWith the fuel crisis and heating bill going up I was looking for an alternative way of heating for my sick wife. Debbie has MS and her body isn’t very good at controlling the temperature. She is bedridden 24/7 and I bought this blanket to help keep her warm, so far it’s possibly the best thing I have ever bought on Amazon. It kept her warm all night and she slept so well. As winter sets in I will let you know how good it is.

Possibly the best thing I have ever bought on Amazo

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI’m such a cold soul, so this is just heaven. It heats up in minutes, is soft and drapes easily over your legs. It’s not really cold yet, but once I’m warm, the power goes off and I stay warm. If you want to heat the person and not the room, I think this is ideal.

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersBought two of these during the summer in anticipation of turned down winter heating to save costs and environment. Tested it last evening and it is super cosy and warm. At full setting it costs around 7p per hour assuming a unit rate of 41p/kWh. Tested it with the smart meter last evening lol

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI’m really hoping this throw lasts the winter. It just arrived yesterday and I tried it out I’m in love already. Delivery was excellent and on time. Price was ok around what you would expect to pay reviews helped a lot in choosing this particular throw so fingers crossed it works forever.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSo soft. Heats up quickly. Controls great as you can control temp and time. Have used it when first getting into bed but also good to snuggle in front of TV. Don’t think it uses much electricity either. May buy another in the autumn.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThis is my third heated throw and is without doubt it is the best. As well as using it as my only bed cover I also use a heated throw for my whole body (while watching telly, internet and chatting) I have Raynaud’s secondary to other auto immune diseases and warming bits of the body is more expensive.

Nice blanket, it does what it says it does.
I have only one little negative, it’s a little too short. Can’t wrap feet and shoulders and husband is 5.6
But all in all really good blanke

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve had this blanket a couple of years now and used it regularly. This winter I have turned off my central heating and used the blanket instead. I am retired so spend a lot of time seated so can use the blanket for long periods. I use it on lowest setting which costs me 2 pence an hour to run, at a tariff of 24 pence per kwh.
    Highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersNearly all plus points. It’s soft. Takes a while to warm up but is toasty even at quite low settings. Temperature settings range from 1 to 7 with an “L” which I suppose would be low?!. I use it in bed under a duvet and set it to 2 or 3. It’s great for taking the initial chill off a cold bed as you pull it up to your neck. The only negative is it’s considerably smaller than I imagined. I bought it to replace an older electric blanket and it doesn’t really have either the size or weight to fit that bill. However, as someone who feels the cold it’s just the job. Also, it’s just been machine washed for the first time and come out good as new. I’m under it now. Might stay here I’ll April (or perhaps May).

Golden Review Award: 76 From Our UsersI purchased this for my wife, who insisted she wanted an electric blanket for her birthday. My first hurdle was deciding whether to purchase one that went beneath the user, or one that could be placed on top of the user. After talking to friends and family, I found out that electric blankets place directly on top of a mattress can sometimes move about, and prove uncomfortable to those lying on top of them. So, after giving it much thought, my wife and I felt that an over the top one would be her best option, especially as it gives the user the flexibility of using it in a variety of different situations.

As is usual for me, I probably spent far too much time looking at numerous brands, and reading the many reviews available. Eventually, after weighing up the pros and cons of those available, I decided that this one from the COSIhome brand offered the best features and performance for my budget. I’m pleased to say that delivery was quick (within three days of placing my order), and the product was nicely packaged in a smart, glossy branded box – so would make a super gift. My first impression was that the throw/blanket had been manufactured to a high standard, with neat, precise stitching throughout. In addition, the control unit appeared to be well made, and featured easy to operate buttons, and a display with nice large coloured numerals (red for the heat setting and blue for the timer).

In practice, this blanket is simple to operate, and includes an easy-to-follow instruction leaflet. Essentially, all you have to do is use the blanket is plug it into the mains, sliding the side button on the controller to switch it on, then press the High temperature button to allow the blanket to warm up for an hour before it automatically decreases to the Low temperature setting. You then have a choice of temperature settings to choose from, ranging from Low through to 7. Reassuringly, when you switch the blanket on it automatically sets a 9 hour timer running. To change the timer just press the Time Control button to cycle through the 1 hour increments until you reach your desired time which will be displayed on the screen.

The dimensions of the blanket are 160cm x 130cm (63in x 51in). I measured the two sections of the cable that connects the blanket to the mains, and came up with the following measurements:
Length of cable from connection on blanket to top of controller: 85cm (33.5in).
Length of cable from top of controller to mains plug: 160cm (63in). So, from the edge of the blanket to the mains plug there’s a total cable length of 245cm (96.5in). I’d like to end my review by mentioning that my wife and I are very happy with this heated throw, so I have no hesitation at all in recommending it to fellow Amazon customers. Five stars all the way for this product.

If you want to stay warm and toasty, get one of these!

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersMy home is an old stone cottage and is costly to warm in winter as it takes longer to warm up and retain heat. Working from home all day in a spare room sitting static at a computer workstation and struggle to keep warm unless have a portable electric radiator next to me. Even then my hands used to get as cold as ice and I wore finger mittens on some days. Yes, I’m wimpy but in my 60’s I’m old enough to excuse myself. Smart meter tells me its ranges from 1.50 to 2.00 to have this heater on a moderate setting for the working day – and that’s wearing fleeces. Neighbour also worked from home and highly recommended this throw and reckoned she reduced her electric bill by easily over 250 pa. It’s very good quality, well made and big. Cable is just over 2 metres. You can throw it over yourself lying down or reclining on the sofa watching TV, as a bed cover, wear like a shawl over your shoulders (and it will cover your thighs and double up across your front), or warp around your midsection under your armpits (it can’t be seen then when on Zoom if sat at the computer screen / camera!). When used sitting in an office chair you can sit on it which adds considerably to the warning affect. I use a large bulldog clip to fasten it closed around me. Takes only a few minutes to warm up and I set it on 2 or 3 (low) out of 9 (highest – and I find anything above 5 just too warm after a while). My hands don’t get cold – in fact they’re very warm. It has a quick heat up option too. If you want to be extra warm without turning it to a higher setting then throw a normal light throw over as this insulates the heat in – you can then turn it down further. I use more electricity boiling the kettle a few times a day for tea / coffee. Purchased large cream 49.99 in October 2019 so this is 3rd winter using it and it’s still in great condition without any noticeable loss of fluffiness. Have had no need to wash it yet. Will pay for itself in just a few weeks. Highly recommended and doubt you will find better.

I decided to purchase one of these due to a recommendation for saving money on gas bills in winter.
I’m more than happy with the purchase as it’s perfect for my needs. The only thing I deducted one star for is that it feels like not all of the coils heat up evenly. It may just be me, but I can have it on high and it seems only the centre coils are hot and the outer coils are room temp. If you turn it off it also feels cold but I think that’s just the effect of going from heated to none.
I would definitely recommend over a hot water bottle. It’s very soft, a decent length of cord and I used overnight once with no issues (I was genuinely scared of it setting on fire but I’m a nervous nelly). Absolutely worth the money

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersAfter buying my first heated throw last year I now consider them to be an essential item. I suffer from a debilitating pain condition and the heat from this blanket really helps. Even on the days when the pain is not bad, the family joke is that I still like my blanket for the ‘comfort value’ because there is something really comforting about it. My first blanket developed a fault and the customer service from that company was quite frankly appalling, so I thoroughly researched buying a new blanket to try and ensure I would not have the same problem and experience again.

I knew that I wanted something that was a dark grey colour, a large/extra large size, something that was machine washable and had many positive Amazon reviews. This blanket ticked all those boxes and, although it was slightly more than I originally wanted to pay, I ordered it. The blanket has nine heat settings and a timer so you can pick what you want to suit your needs. The material is a nice, deep grey colour and lovely and soft. Even on a warmer day the blanket is a really nice cover, even when switched off. When switched on it warms up quite quickly and has a lovely comforting heat. I washed the blanket before use and found it stayed just as soft as before.

I am more than pleased with this blanket. It really does make a big difference to my life and I am hoping it keeps working for a long time. It really is a five star product but as it was quite expensive I have to knock off one star. So this is a four star product but definitely five stars in terms of comfort and ease of use

Golden Review Award: 846 From Our UsersI read every review for every heated throw going and this one seemed to come out on top. A lot of them appear to stop working after a few months. I’m happy to say this one is excellent! Very soft, heats nicely (feels subtle at first but it does get going) and feels well made. Would buy again and that’s all you really need to know!

Bonus tip: the first time I used mine it took forever to get warm. After that it was fine! Seems like other people have had the same experience so if you get it and it take a while to warm up the first time, don’t worry!

Golden Review Award: 581 From Our UsersFirst off, I know a lot of blokes like me would turn their nose up at YET ANOTHER throw finding it’s insidious way into your home.
    But, read on…
For me, this is a simple matter of financial economy. Yes, 49.99 is A LOT of money for another fleecy blanket taking up valuable space in my house, but by a few rough calculations I think this will pay for itself in roughly 3.74 weeks in reduced heating bills, and that’s before I factor in the time I save in arguing over whether or not it’s actually cold.
(Spoiler alert: it isn’t flipping cold!)

The blanket has made my wife happy which, in turn has made me very happy because I’m no longer being called such things as ‘tight git’ and ‘scrooge’ for being the big meanie and refusing to put the heating on for an unnecessary hour.

Simply put, this blanket should be at the forefront of any wedding gift list.

Buy it. Save gas. Save electricity. Save the planet.
