    After some time with the conroller i have to say its great for xCloud and Apple arcade games. i complaint about ergonmics (i still do) when playing games which involve presing 3 buttons and a trigger in 1 sec like the Celeste game. however when playing games with simpler mechanis its awesome i played a lot of xCloud games on my iPhone and some Apple Arcade games and it works perfect. pretty much gets rid of input-lag on games that are not AAA. AAA still have some input delay but i honestly doubt its a controller issue. also i dont need to take off the case on my phone to plug it and i dont worry about breaking the lightning port because the lightning port on the controller moves and its longer that average so it will acomodate cases. the only reason i dont give it 5 stars its because of the triggers which are more like buttons and also becasue im not a fan of the switch style ergonomics.

    Things been working great so far. It’s so easy to use, just plug n’ play.

    Have had no problems with any of the controller supported games on Apple Arcade, and I had no problems using the Xbox Gamepass cloud.

    Love this device. Use on Galaxy s21ultra but bought one for a goft for somone has an iPhone and works great there too!

    Feel in hand is excellent, its a good size for varied hand sizes it is well made and sturdy and absolutely no issues or glitches using it!

    Only downside for me is the button config is like a switch instead of an xbox or ps4 but i remapped the buttons and its fine now.

    This was a huge surprise in terms of build quality. I was even able to use it with a thin iphone 13 case.

    Only thing that concerns me is the longevity of the swiveling lighting port, but it’s been holding up so far.

    Some improvements: making shoulder buttons have some travel, and the buttons having a bit more travel like a console controller. Otherwise, I thing this is the best phone gaming controller for the price

    Ottimo acquisto!

    The GameSir X2 Lightning converts a Smartphone into an ergonomic gaming device. Because of its Lightning connector, the X2 is compatible with any iPhone. It arrives boxed and comes in a zippable carry case that offers a substantial amount of protection. The controller’s build quality is robust. Its controls are arranged for easy intuitive use. The analogue directional controls (thumbsticks) are responsive and also clickable. D-pad, shoulder buttons, triggers and other control buttons have very little travel. Each makes a slight audible click sound when pressed. Overall, I like the layout and the controls, which are ultra responsive. I experienced no noticeable lag during gameplay – a big advantage over other phone game controllers I’ve used. Well worth the money.

    Setting up the gamepad could not be simpler. You simply slide it apart insert your phone and slide it together again. The controller can cope with a phone in an official Apple slim case. The Gamesir X2 lightning connects via a phones lightning port. This has the great of advantage of there being no lag whatsoever in response to the controls. What disappoints me is how noisy all of the controls are. I also find the action of the triggers somewhat frustrating, for some games. I like the look of the controller and it feels quite sturdy. This controller is well worth considering if you are on a tight budget. To get a better controller you will need to spend significantly more.

    Buone plastiche, prodotto leggero quanto basta.
    Ottimo feedback e zero input lag.

    Super consigliato!

    I ordered this Gamepad Mobile Game controller for my son.
    This Gamepad is for use with an Iphone.
    It basically turns it into a mobile gaming console using the cloud gaming services including –
    -Xbox Games Pass,
    -Amazon Luna
    -Vortex
    -Sream link
    -Stadia
    The controller is lightweight and compact enough to take out and about with you.

    My sons views –
    No set up required. Simply place your phone inside the controller, it will flash blue once it changes to green its ready to go. Theres no lag. The only thing I wasn’t too keen on was the triggers are a bit “clicky” but overall a great way to play when out and abou

    This is an easy to fit and set-up plug and play gamming controllers for ios phones. Everything you need to get going quickly is included and the set-up time to playing was quicker than I expected — it’s all made easy, and the instructions are straightforward to follow.

    We were pleased to discover that this controller is compatible with many gaming platforms. We used Xbox game pass, and the process and playing was stemless. The controller is responsive and more sensitive than I was expecting — this was particularly impressive in the combat games and was a match for the usual Xbox controller.

    The stretch design means that you’ll be able to fit in different screen sizes and acts much like any other mobile phone cradle you’d use — this fit is also tight and secure, so you’re not dropping the phone by accident.

    Air circulation is decent too. We didn’t notice the phone got too hot, so there was no overheating going on.

    The controller feels good in hand and comfortable to use. This allows for plenty of gaming time without any discomfort — something that has been an issue with other smart phone controllers we have tried.

    Overall, for ease of use and how responsive this controller is, I haven’t got any real negatives to not. If I wanted to be picky, the triggers are a bit noisy.
    Overall, great controller. Recommended.

    There have been loads of reviews on this gaming dock. I am testing this with my iPhone 11 Pro max and was disappointed with the fact that it doesn’t work with all IOS games. They have to be specific games to work so research is key prior to purchase.
    If you are using this to mobile PS4/5 game play or with your Xbox it works flawlessly with hardly any noticeable lag because the connection is directly with your device and not reliant on Bluetooth connectivity.
    The controller itself is well designed and made with decent connectors and buttons and is not to heavy to hold for long periods.
    The game play is definitely enhanced and it’s well worth the investment. Highly recommend.

    Absolute must for enhancing your mobile gaming experience

    So the description states this is a:-
    X2 lightning gamepad. Mobile game controller for iOS xbox game pass playstation now STADIA cloud gaming.

    It has its good and bad sides. I thought this would be good to keep my other half and kids quite when needed.
    Able to turn your phone into a portable game.
    In my day I guess it’s like a game boy, or a switch of these days… Lol.

    Its not the type of thing tho for a avid gamer and expect it to be as good as being in a xbox, ps or Nintendo etc…

    You have to get use to all the buttons and toggles and what ever you like to call them. Because they not as easy to use or press as other ones.

    Only big thing is that this is for I phones. Everyone in my family have iphones except for me, so I guess that’s a good thing really because they not knicking my phone to play on.

    Also you have to be able to take your iPhone out of its case to use in here, so of you have one of them big armed cases that takes a year and half to take apart, your not going to be wanting to do that every time you wanna play a game.

    You are able to charge your phone while still playing if needed.
    But I did notice the phone gets really quite hot after playing for a while.

    To connect this to your mobile phone:-
    * Go to the Xbox website via your phone,
    * Go to cloud gaming,
    * Go to play via mobile device
    * Add the page to your homescreen

    *** Adjustable range is up to 51

    *** Max Length of 173 mm,

    *** Thickness of 1cm.

    What I did like is that if needed you could put this in its case and pop it in your bag. If you need to keep a kid quiet or even ya husband, you can whip it out and all joy to the world lol.

    So far so good
    But I will update this review if needed.

    Now this is mobile gaming done well! This impeccably well thought out and manufactured gaming controller from GameSir is nothing short of impressive in just about every area. It’s fully compatible with most leading cloud based gaming services including Xbox game pass, PS Remote Play, Stadia, Steam Link to name but a few. I have been testing it out with both my Steam account and PS Remote play and I am more than happy to say it works exactly as expected.

    I shall start my review with build quality. The designers have done an excellent job with this Stella little gizmo. It has been manufactured using high quality parts and components and it feels like a high end gaming pad. Everything is super sturdy and robust and I have every faith that, with good care and attention, this will last me a long time to come. Buttons and thumb sticks are super responsive and tactile and there is zero discernible lag between button presses and thumb stick movements and responsiveness within whatever game you are playing. It handles big titles well and it’s easy to see the manufacturers clearly had their end user in mind when putting this together.

    All the usual buttons are present and laid out in similar fashion as you would expect from your full sized console controllers. There is an additional programmable 3 gear turbo button but I haven’t yet used this so won’t comment on functionality for this element. The GameSir x2 pad has a very ergonomic feel to it and without sounding gushy it just feels supremely comfortable and pleasurable to use. The rear of the device has soft and textured rubber grips which help considerably when using for longer gaming sessions which is a plus point for me.

    The device connects directly to the your iPhones lighting charging port and employs pass-through charging of your iphone while using the controller. It will accommodate multiple iterations of iPhone and caters for those measuring anywhere between 100-173 mm in length. I am using mine with an iPhone 8 Plus (see photos). The internal spring mechanism that you use to open and stretch out the gamepad seems durable and I can genuinely see it withstanding long-term multiple opening and closings. It can be a little fiddly at first when trying to insert your phone. My advice would be to ensure you fully expand it and lay your phone in flat with the lightning port pointing towards the connector and gently ease the two sections back together again so that the connector inserts flat and straight onto your phones port. I did worry about this piece snapping off but by installing it this way there is no risk of bending or breaking off the delicate connector part.

    In the box you receive the following:

    * GameSir x2
    * A hard shell carry case
    * 4x Thumb Grips
    * A User Manual
    * A Contact Leaflet
    * A GameSir Sticker

    It’s plug and play so there is no need to download any software or drivers etc. I don’t know if it would work with all games but does work with this so need it to such as Minecraft and Call of Duty. It’s also great for pure mobile gaming too.

    The only slight criticism I have, if any, is the pass through charging port. It’s located on the bottom left of the console and , for me at least, gets in the way when I am playing. I’m not really sure what the workaround would be to be fair as wherever you placed this it would probably be in the way? That though is my only issue. Everything else about this unit is spot on. It’s a little pricey but I believe you are paying for what you get here. Overall it’s a superb bit of kit and one I would be more than happy to recommend to anyone. Brilliant!

    This is a game changer device !
    I like to play my games from my laptop but sometime I am away so will often play from my iPhone instead.
    You can always tell the difference when playing from the mobile because you don’t have the same control over the actions as you have with the mouse and keyboard.
    This little console is perfect as it will take this hassle away .
    The console connects fairly fast and easy with the phone.
    Simple menu and easy to press on buttons.
    Comfortable grip even for small hands such as mine 🙂
    A little device that does what is has been designed for and makes playing more fun and more accurate.

    It just works with no issues to report at all. Put the phone in and off you go – no drivers or software interface needed.

    Buttons are clicky, joysticks are progressive and easy to use.

    Ergonomically it is comfortable – though I haven’t tried any other game pads for comparison.

    It’s nice to have the power passthrough to charge the phone while connected.

    The only word of warning – it’s Lightning cable only! I had initially thought it would also have a USB C option.

    Mobile game controllers are very convenient to use especially if you want to level up your gaming experience.

    This game controller has an ergonomic design for a comfortable grip. It has a soft rubber grip that makes it more grip-friendly during long game sessions. It also has a stretch design where it can be stretched and clamped on to most iPhones. Its internal spring is durable and can withstand long-term expansion and countless stretches. It is composed of programmable 3 gear turbo buttons which are Slow, Middle and Fast.

    Furthermore, it is compatible with most gaming services such as Xbox Game Pass, Stadia, Amazon Luna, Vortex, Steam Link, hundreds of popular mobile games including Call of Duty Mobile (iPhone only), Fortnite, Minecraft, Asphalt 9: Legends, emulators and more.

    I don’t usually play games on my phone but I must say that this is a really great device to use if you do. It is plug and play making it very easy to use. The controls are responsive and the buttons are not difficult to press. The quality is nice same with its build. I feel like this will last long if taken good care of.

    For my verdict, this is indeed a great device for mobile gamers, especially kids and teens out there. I enjoyed using this, plus it is reasonably priced, I just wish it was compatible with all brands of phones.

    When I see this I knew I needed it in my life!!
    I have an iPhone 12pro max.
    I’ve always been an avid gamer and playing on mobiles has always frustrated me.
    Once you get this controller you’ll not be able to put it down!
    Playing mobile games like sonic & GTA. Reliving some very epic games right on my mobile with full actual control.

    The iPhone lightening pin is sprung loaded to adapt to putting the phone into the grip at an angle. There is no pairing with this device it’s not Bluetooth the controller literally takes controls of the phone. No set up required true plug and play.

    There’s a Lightening port in the lower left hand side to charge your iPhone while playing.
    The buttons and analogue control sticks are very good and responsive.

    The protecting case is tough and adds great protection with great quality.

    But seriously if your an actual gamer and you have a decent enough iPhone. This is essential for you.

    Extremely happy and buying another for my kids to share.

    An absolute GAME CHANGER! 🎮

    Mobile gaming using mobile phones is huge these days. It if you are not a 7 year old, using the screen to control the on screen action can be very unfulfilling and certainly anything more than a few minutes becomes tedious and frustrating. Enter the Gamepad. This gamepad is a solidly built unit made with an extendable base that allows your phone to sit on the lightening port. A small light will glow green to inform you that a connection is made and then just boot up your game, no further set up is required. The controller looks and feels exactly like my Switch. It has joysticks in either side of the unit, a D pad on the left and 4 buttons on the right, and both shoulder pads and shoulder triggers. The buttons, and sticks are solid and responsive and suddenly gaming sessions are enjoyable and able to last much longer, indeed if you plug a charging cable in to the gamepad, it will charge your phone as you play!
    Two things to be aware of, the pad only really works for horizontal format games, I love using the gamepad for racing and fighting games or horizontal platformers. Secondly it doesn’t work with all the games I play, in particular Genshin Impact just doesn’t recognise you are connected to a gamepad sadly.
    I can absolutely recommend this pad as a great little gadget to throw in your backpack or travel bag for mobile gaming.

    Makes your iPhone a gaming monster!

    Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersHo acquistato questo gamepad per giocare in remoto alla mia Xbox Series S sul mio iPhone 13 pro. Il gamepad ha la presa lightning per collegarsi direttamente all’iPhone tramite la corrispondente porta (quella del caricabatterie, per intendersi). Tale presa basculante, in modo da poter facilitare l’ingrssso dello smartphone senza rischi di graffi o rotture. L’inserimento viene fatto “allargando” il lato destro del gamepad fino a bloccare l’iPhone in posizione. Non necessario rimuovere un’eventuale custodia (io ho quella originale in silicone) dal telefono. I comandi sono molto precisi ed estremamente reattivi, nonostante il gioco da remoto non si registra il bench minimo ritardo nella risposta. Una volta inserito, la configuazione pad+smartphone ricorder molto quella del Nintendo Switch, coi suoi pregi e i suoi difetti. In definitiva solo questione di abitudine. Lo ritengo un ottimo acquisto, un prodotto di fascia alta ad un prezzo ancora sostenibile.

    This game controller comes in a printed cardboard box and inside you’ll find a hard case, game controller and an accessories pack. The accessories pack includes a user manual, stickers, extended warranty card and some replacement thumb stick covers.

    The controller case is a hard sided case and should protect the controller really well. It has a double zip so you can secure them in any position you prefer. Opening the case and you are presented with the controller and accessories box. The case has an elasticated strap that keeps the controller secure and a meshed area to keep any other items like phone chargers, cables etc

    The game controller itself feels like it’s well made and it’s also quite light. The front buttons have a nice, quality feel and a satisfying click to them. The click is louder than any other controller I’ve tried but it’s not too loud that it’s annoying. The shoulder buttons, and stick press buttons are even louder though but again, not too bad that they’re annoying. Control sticks are tight and move smoothly and have a long throw on them which allows for more accurate control. One of my sticks clicks when rotating around the down axis, as if something’s catching inside, and you can physically feel it clicking as it goes round. Hopefully it’s a one-off fault. The right analogue stick is perfectly fine. The area you place your phone is covered with rubber, so it doesn’t scratch your phone while it’s held inside. The lightening adapter is suspended in rubber and can be manipulated up and down so it can move with your phone as you insert and remove it and it works quite well. The controller can stretch to accommodate an iPhone up to 173mm, and it is spring loaded so pulls itself back together, which is what holds your phone in position. The controller grip also has a lightning port on the bottom right of the unit so you can charge your phone while it’s in the grip.

    In use, it is easy to slide your phone into position either by inserting the lightning port first and then pulling the controller apart for you phone to drop into place before pushing it back together, or put the top of your phone in first, align the port and then allow it to slide together while the lightning port slides in at the same time. Once connected, the light on the controller grip starts to flash blue and once it’s connected to your phone, it will change to green. Using the PlayStation Remote Play app, controlling the PS5 worked straight away with no issues, and I didn’t have to change any control schemes or anything, I could just start playing.

    This is an excellent way to get a controller working with your phone. With this, the phone is part of your controller so is easier to position the screen and play at the same time. An excellent idea that has been well executed with this game controller grip

    Good build quality
    Hard case included
    Can charge your phone while it’s in the controller grip
    Turns your phone into a portable game device with full controller functions

    I get clicks on the left stick when rotating round the down axis
    Triggers aren’t analogue, only clicky digital
    Fiddly to remove the grip from the case when the elasticated strap is used

    A great way to add full controller support to your iPhone...

    Finally, a controller that works!

    After searching for a while, i finally found a decent controller that works with no gimmicks or need to charge it up.

    I like that this controller turn your phone into a switch, you can enjoy all the mobile games on the go, but with a controller support now. It does also come with a nice hard shell carry case.

    This gamepad features all the buttons that a normal xbox or even ps gamepad would, including even a turbo button, which is mappable to any button, the buttons are good and easy to use, the shoulder buttons don’t have any triggers on them, they are both just push buttons, which is also ok.

    The thumbsticks are small and a bit stiff, still decent, but they could have made them a bit longer perhaps, as that would increase precision, the only one complaint i have about this controller, is the position of the right thumbstick, it’s lower than what i feel it could be, as i have to hold it in a weird way, there isn’t enough grip to handle it properly, i get that it’s position is similar to other popular controllers, but they have the thumbstick more at an angle and a bigger hand grip, my hand in half not held on by the handle, so i wish both thumb sticks would be parallel rather than the way they are now.

    That’s my only complaint, i have to say because it’s not bluetooth, it doesn’t need batteries or charging, it also has zero input lag, although phones have great bluetooth, they aren’t exactly made for like consoles, where there is very low latency, with this being a port based, your actions are registered almost immediately!

    There are a fair few games that support controllers on mobile, i have now been playing call of duty mobile, as i could never play it with just the touch controls, i now feel like i have an unfair advantage, as i haven’t died once in the game, i have so much better reaction and aim times, it’s almost like playing on console too, feels really similar, expect i’m playing against people who are using touch controls, so i have much better control.

    Overall, i highly recommend it, it works great, super portable and a must have for certain games.

    Great Device

    Very fast response time.
    Easy to connect. I like that the lightning port is flexible rather than in a static position.
    Unfortunately it doesn’t work well with my phone case but it is quite thick.
    It is easy enough to get it out of the case for playing games.

    Works well with Playstation remote play and xbox cloud.

    I play the occasional game on my iPhone but find it hard to control the games so I generally give up. Not any more!!

    This GameSir X2 is specifically of Apple iPhone users. You plug your phone in, chose you game and this is now a full size control which look exactly like over controllers with similar controls.

    There is no delay in use which is good so when you turn the joystick the car, soldier etc move. Similarly, in war games the rife fires straight on pushing the relevant button.

    The console give you access to Apple games, cloud games for iOS and MFI games so you have a large amount of games to lay.

    It may be a bit expensive, but it is far cheaper than buying a console.

    This is a brilliant joypad as it’s a physical connection so zero lag, there really does seem to be no latency of any sort it actually feels like I’m playing a vinified handheld gaming device, build quality is also very good indeed, the analogue sticks a joy to use and I cannot fault it one bit, I only wish I’d tried one of these sooner.

    I chose this mainly for my partner as he has an iPhone and enjoys the type of mobile games that really benefit from a game pad. He had been using a different brand, but this is so much better in every way. It is quick and easy to put your phone in, once your phone is in it feels very comfortable, makes it feel like a once piece gaming device. Using the lightening port makes it so much more responsive, especially for games that need a quick interface like driving games etc. It has no internal battery; it uses the power of the phone battery and allows passthrough charging as you are playing if you need. You can even charge the phone via a power bank while playing. The rubber surface of the buttons is really good the thumb sticks are well designed and comfortable to use. Both my partner and I much prefer this style to the ones that have the console type pad with stand for the phone, this really makes the whole setup seem like one piece. There is nothing not to like about this.

    This gamepad mobile game controller is a brilliant item.
    Nicely packaged, and the game pad is very well made and finished, and turns any mobile into a ‘switch’ kind of device.

    Just connect to the phones charging port and
    there is zero lag while playing.
    We tested this on Fortnite and it plays very well with great response and mobility

    This is the first mobile controller I have used. You pull the sides apart, slot your phone in (I used my iPhone 12 Pro Max) and play. I launched into Cod mobile with no issues & no config required. Worked straight out of the box.

    Grip is lovely & buttons are good quality & work well. It really transforms your mobile gaming!! Once your phone is in, it looks very similar to the switch but with the benefit of portability & a lower price tag.

    It comes accompanied with a travelling case which is good quality apart from the zips which I feel could be better. However, you won’t be using them that frequently so not a huge problem.

    Highly recommend!! Definitely if you play a lot of mobile games!

    Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThis is a good mobile game controller to use with an iPhone and does everything that I want to use it for.

    The primary reason for me to purchase this controller was to use it PlayStation Remote Play, I will not be discussing how the Remote Play functions but how this controller interacts with. I have also tested out Call of Duty Mobile as that was one of the advertise games that this controller supported.

    So without further ado, this is my review of the GameSir X2 — Lightning addition.

    What I have been using this controller with:
    * iPhone 11
    * Spigen Ultra Hybrid Case

    What you receive with this product:
    * GameSir X2 — Lightning addition
    * A Carrying Case
    * 4 Thumb Grips — which slip straight onto the Analogue Sticks
    * A User Manual
    * A Contact Leaflet
    * A GameSir Sticker

    When receiving the controller was the post, I was pleasantly surprised at the packaging. This controller ships itself in a carrying case, within a cardboard box, which ensure that the GameSir X2 itself will not arrive to you damaged unless the postage services have been brutal to it. Within the case you have the controller and a red box with “Accessories” written on which includes the Thumb Grips and Manuals. The Carrying Case is a hard shell style case which means that it has rigid shape that can be slightly squashed with a bit of pressure. It opens up like a shell through zips and can lay flat fully opened. The GameSir X2 is held securely by an elastic strap in one half of the “shell” and it is secure enough while travelling. In the other half of the “shell” there is a mesh compartment that would be able to hold a bit, possibly Bluetooth earphones if their case was small enough along with a lightning cable to use the passthrough charging. My personal preferences would have preferred this case to be thinner so it was easier to travel with, but I can see people using the mentioned compartment to store earphones and cables.

    When setting up the GameSir X2, I would suggest attaching your phone through the following way:
    * Place the right side, the none port side, of your phone on the right side of the GameSir X2.
    * Then slide open the GameSir X2, while still having your phone on the right side of the GameSir X2, enough so that the phone lays flat on the GameSir X2 and the whole lightning connection is visible.
    * Gently align the lightning connection on the GameSir X2 with the lightning port on your phone, once aligned allow the GameSir X2 to slide close.
    * I would then suggest on both outer sides of the GameSir X2 to push inwards to produce a solid connection.

    I was able to be able to place my iPhone with the Spigen Case mentioned above and have a solid connection with the GameSir X2. Many other controllers like this do not allow you to use cases unless they are ultra-thin, my case is just your typical case which isn’t thin or thick and I believe all normal cases would be able to work with the GameSir X2.

    Once you have you iPhone connected up then the GameSir X2 it will begin to start flashing blue, this indicates that it is beginning a connection. Once the flashing blue stops, it will change to green and it means that your GameSir X2 is connected. From here you can access your gaming app, in my case the PlayStation Remote Play, and begin playing. I did not have to do any system changes to allow the GameSir X2 to function with either the PlayStation Remote Play or Call of Duty Mobile Apps, they worked straight away. There seemed to be no latency with inputs from the GameSir X2 to the games I play, as you would imagine from a physical connection rather than Bluetooth.

    The build quality of the GameSir X2 is good my opinion, it feels like it is made with good quality plastic and is put together very well. The mechanism for the GameSir X2 expanding feels solid and does not feel like it would break with sensible use. I especially like the different rubber materials that they have used around the product. The grips on the outer edges of the back of the controller are textured enough to keep the controller from slipping out of your hands. The rubber where you place you phone has 2 different types, the one where the back of you phone would be placed is soft with a light texture to help support your phone during gaming. The other type is placed on sides where your phone would be placed, these are much more gripping textured and will ensure that your phone will not move at all while gaming.

    The quality of the controls on the GameSir X2 seems to be decent, nothing bad but nothing amazing. The Analogue Sticks have a better feel to them then the Nintendo Switch Joy-con Analogue Sticks, but are not better a PlayStation controller Analogue Stick which is to be expected as they are smaller. I did appreciated that they included the Thumb Grips with the GameSir X2 as they were easy to put on and gave a larger surface to put my thumbs on with more grip that allowed me to have more control when I was playing a game. The D-Pad feels good quality as well and I was able to use it for precise platform games without any issues, it has a good slide to one input to another input and does not allow you to press more than 2 direction at once. This allows for precise moments in games that need them. The main gaming face buttons are in the style of a Xbox controller. Where “Y” is at the top, “X” is at the left, “B” is at the right and “A” is at the bottom. This format is different to a PlayStation controller but I managed to adapt quickly to it. Again these buttons feel better than a Joy-con but not as good as a PlayStation controller. You have an additional 4 buttons on the front of the GameSir X2 which have different uses depending on what app you are using, with the exception of the “Turbo” button which I have not used and is not interested in using. All of these buttons have a satisfying input feel when you press them, they have a good resistance to them and create a slight “Click” when pressed which isn’t too loud. Moving onto the triggers on the controller, these are digital only which means these won’t be best to be using with games like racing games. But they function perfectly fine with shooting games. My only complaint with these triggers are that they have a much louder “Click” than the face buttons, it sounds as if you are pressing an old mouse click and does distract you from the game you are playing.

    Another feature that I think it is worth mentioning here is the pass-through charging that has been put in. There is a lightning port on the bottom left of the GameSir X2 that allows you to connect a lightning cable to charge your phone while playing a game. This is not in an intrusive place and does comprehend your hand position while playing. I would image that if you have a lightning cable with an AUX port at the end that you would be able to connect earphone and have no audio latency, I do not have this can not prove it. It would have been good to have an AUX port built into this to allow you to use normal earphones but I imagine that the price would have had to gone up to support that.

    In summary I would recommend this controller to anyone that would want to game on their iPhone, it is a nicely compact controller without being too small for comfort. In essence the GaneSir X2 makes your phone into a smaller Nintendo Switch Lite.

    Positives:
    * Good build quality and button quality is decent as well
    * Able to use with iPhones that have a normal case on
    * Plug and play makes it easy to recommend to anyone
    * Comes with a Carrying Case and Thumb Grips
    * Lightning pass-through is great and allows you to charge your phone while playing
    * Makes playing games on your phone as if you were playing a Nintendo Switch Lite

    Negatives:
    * Triggers have incredibly loud “Clicks” when pressed
    * Triggers are only digital, not best for certain games

    Pristine condition. Works perfectly fine and the quality is clear, little bit of a delay when clicking button but feel very durable and fit to play, i’d recommend buying this. I use this to play call of duty mobile, was a bit worried at first that it will not work with that but it does. The buttons and analogue is good, also comes very well packaged!

    I have to admit I’m rather impressed with the overall playability and enjoyment of this simple unit. I didn’t have high expectations going in as Cloud Gaming is rather new and this is the first mobile type device I’d tried playing full console games on, remotely. But it’s a great little unit, especially for use on the go (with little ones/car journeys etc). There are a few niggles but here’s what I love:

    – Big games play very well overall, I’ve tried Forza Horizon 4 & 5, both incredibly smooth without delay. GTA SA also plays very well. The Alien franchise games also run without issues. Train sim was laggy/glitchy on the mobile device and really not very playable.
    – It’s lightweight & compact, coming with its own case.
    – Once up and running, games load within around 20-30 seconds and it’s the same as playing on a regular controller.
    – The ease of playing on the go couldn’t be easier.

    Few niggles:
    – It’s lightweight feel does feel a tad cheap for the price point, it’s a hard plasticky feel to everything.
    – The buttons/DPad/triggers are all very clicky, the triggers don’t feel at all gradual, they’re very much click to go/stop – there’s no in between like on standard controllers.
    – After around 45 minutes of fairly light play the back of my phone was really hot to the touch, perhaps some way to cool the device whilst playing is needed?
    – I couldn’t figure out how to set up initially but you simply go to the Xbox website via your phone, go to cloud gaming, select to play via mobile device and then you MUST add the page to your homescreen which then loads the games flawlessly. Attaching your phone powers the device and a little green light will show as ready.

    But overall I’m impressed, to have full console games at your fingertips without needing your TV or console is amazing. Although it’s not that cheap it saves buying handheld consoles for on the go so thumbs up from me.

    Much better than expected, handles big titles well

    This is brilliant. I have lots of steam games and spend a lot of time out so this is like having my gaming PC with me. Really easy to put your phone I. Abd expands to fit all phones. The buttons are very responsive and you get a really good gaming experience. Took me a few minutes to get used to the buttons as they reacted so quickly. This us a great piece of kit that I would recommend .

    Fantastic product with great design and quality. Simply plug your phone in then it works whenever you’re playing games or even as normal functions. Charge up the controller with usb-c cable. Comes with a nice protector box/bag for this controller. Emphasis on the port connecting to the phone it’s very well thought and designed. Very flexible in angles so you won’t break the port or connector easily when inserting or taking it out from the controller. Adjustable in size depending on you device. This however is just compatible for devices with lightening ports, ie iPhone. Plug-in your phone and it will look like a Nintendo switch!
