Easy to use
Having found an unused hammock in the shed , thinking I needed 2 sturdy trees! I found this stand on Amazon and ordered it. It was a piece of cake to put up, felt sturdy and safe and when we took it down found that process really simple too. Price wise this was in the middle of what I was looking at and I would highly recommend.

Be aware that if the hammock hangs to that its touching the wingnut at some point its going to make a hole, and if you’re tall you will gouge your head on it.
Im going to put a bit of padding over the wingnut. Beyond that very pleased.

Toller Ständer mit Schwäche
Der Zusammenbau geht recht easy, der Stnder ist in ca. 10 Minuten alleine zusammengebaut.
Etwas tricky war zunchst, dass die Verbindungsrohre erst einmal schlecht bzw. sehr stramm zusammengesteckt werden konnten. Ich konnte die Rohre unter Zuhilfenahme eines Hammers und einem Holzklotz aber reintreiben. Das liegt wohl an der werkseitigen Lackierung, die muss man erst durch das Stecken “wegschaben”. Beim nchsten Zusammenbau kann man es dann aber ohne Kraft einfach zusammenstecken.
Beim Zerlegen habe ich die Y-Stcke fr die Tasche drangelassen. Problem ist jedoch, dass die mitgelieferte Tasche so knapp bemessen ist, dass man es kaum alles reinbekommt bzw. der Reiverschluss nur sehr unter Spannung zu schlieen ist. Ich denke, der Artikel htte max. 50 Cent mehr gekostet, wenn die Tasche 10 cm lnger und 5-1o cm breiter wre. Hier wurde am falschen Ende gespart. Eigentlich wollte ich den Stnder nach Nutzung im Garten fter mal im Gartenhaus verstauen, weil er doch recht gro ist. Aber aufgrund der Tatsache, dass man die Teile schlecht in die Tasche bekommt, obwohl der Zusammen- bzw. Auseinanderbau eigentlich nur noch 2-3 Minuten dauert, werde ich ihn hufiger drauen stehen lassen.
Die Hngematte (nicht mit dabei) sollte man recht straff einhngen. Sonst sitzt man direkt auf der Bodenstange. 😉
Noch ein Manko sind die mitgelieferten Fe, eine Art Gummi-Kunststoff-Gemisch, die einfach unten an die Rohrenden aufgesteckt werden. Diese haben eine profilierte gerade Unterseite. Wenn man den recht schweren Stnder mal etwas zur Seite ziehen mchte, verdrehen die Fe gleich. Ich werde sie daher fest ankleben. Das htte man auch besser lsen knnen, denn die muss man ja eigentlich nie wieder abnehmen.
Noch etwas fand ich nicht ganz so gut, unten die Bodenstange und auch die Seitenstangen werden mit einer Schraube fixiert, die grer und zum Greifen mit Kunststoff ummantelt sind und sich daher gut fr den Zusammenbau drehen lassen. Die seitlichen Haken zum Einhngen der Hngematte werden jedoch mit Flgelmuttern befestigt. Hier htte es besser das gleiche Prinzip sein sollen, das sieht optisch besser aus, auerdem lassen sich diese nicht so gut greifen.
Insgesamt ist der Stnder recht schwer, dadurch allerdings auch sehr massiv und macht einen wertigen Eindruck. Ich habe nicht das Gefhl, dass er zusammenbrechen knnte.
Gesamtfazit: Ein stabiler Hngemattenstnder mit kleinen Schwchen. Bleibt noch abzuwarten, ob die Stahlschrauben rosten. Ich denke nicht, dass das Edelstahl ist…
Nachtrag vom 05.07.2022: Die Tasche hat 2 Reiverschlsse (von links und rechts zuziehbar) einer ist mittlerweile kaputt. Auerdem ist es unmglich, die Tasche zu schlieen, da man die gebogenen Teile nicht so hereinbekommt und dann die Tasche noch zubekommt. Aufgrund des kaputten Reiverschlusses kann ich die Tasche nun nur noch bis zur Hlfte zuziehen.

The hammock stand is wonderful and sturdy. I have used it every day since November and it still holds strong (220lb M). Be sure to use the washers when securing the hammock for stability.

I bought this frame as I had already purchased a large hammock from a company that looked as though it came with the frame too, but turned out it didn’t. So I had to look for a sturdy frame that was big enough to take the long and double hammock. This one fitted the bill perfectly and although expensive and made the cheaper hammock purchase a bit redundant, I am glad I got it. It is very easy to put together and the pieces are reassuringly heavy. They just slot together and are held in place by screw in bolts that can be removed quite easily. I dismantle it when we go away in the caravan and put it up outside which makes an ideal companion on warm holidays! The hammock is easily attached too by simply slipping the knots over the top of each side pole and slipped over the hooks. The hooks are repositionable so would work for slightly shorter and slightly longer hammocks.

It is on the heavy side at over 14kg, but you aren’t going to be going hiking with this, you would be putting it in the car. The bag it comes with to carry feels robust.

We have a couple hammocks for when we go camping, but have had no good place to use them while at home since our only trees are against a fence. This hammock stand is the perfect solution! The stand comes in 5 large pieces along with assembly hardware and a handy storage bag. It also included instructions that made the assembly process easy to understand. Putting the metal poles together was a little tricky since it was a tight fit, but I found wiggling and twisting them helped a lot. They are held together with screw-in bolts that are easy to attach once everything is lined up. I was able to assemble the whole thing on my own without much trouble. The hammock hangs on the stand by 2 hooks that are adjustable and easy to change. The finished product feels very sturdy and strong. My hammock feels just as comfortable as it did when we were camping, and I'm so happy that I can enjoy it at home now. I haven't tried to take the stand apart yet, but I expect it will be similar to putting it together. The storage bag is nice and will make it very easy to bring the stand with us on our next camping trip if we want.

EZ Setup
This Goutime Portable Steel Hammock Stand with Carrying Bag is a very good hammock stand for when you need to get away, but can’t because of COVID. As soon as this arrived I set to work on putting it together, a few short minutes later and I had already had it set up and ready to go. I really appreciated how simple it was to get this operational and I immediately enjoyed the fruits of my labors by attaching my hammock and giving it a try.
Now as an average sized dude (6ft 180lbs) I wasn’t expecting to make this thing feel so wobbly just by getting in and out of it, but I will admit I was a bit unnerved by the lack of stability.
Since then I replaced a few of the hardware parts that I thought could be at fault for the stability issues, and they have for the most part subsided now.
Overall I feel this is a decent value for what this provides, which is a tropical relaxing getaway in your own back yard. I would recommend this, but do be sure to double check that everything is good to go before you plop yourself in this so you don’t have any mishaps. 4/5 stars.
Is very sturdy, came in a compact package and has been holding up well in Kansas winter. I just leave the hammock in my deck box and get it out when the weather allows, it is easy to connect to the frame. Doesnt look bad either while it is displayed on the deck.

When my husband told me our two trees were not going work to hang my hammock up, I was very sad. Then we ordered this delightful hammock frame and it’s solved the problem. Bonus? We can put the 2-person hammock in there as the weight limit can accommodate up to 450 lbs.
This thing is very heavy and sturdy, made from powder-coated steel that won’t rust. Which is good because I plan to use it all year round- ever seen those videos of the crazy snow-campers nestling in hammocks in the woods? I wanted to try sleeping outdoors in a gentle snowstorm and this will make it easy to do so.
Just keep in mind that heavy duty means that it’s heavy. You aren’t going to be able to pack this in on your back on an extended hike/camping trip unless it’s all you’re carrying. It weighs over 30 lbs. It does come with a sturdy bag to keep it in, so I am very pleased with that.
The instructions for assembly are simple and quite clear -- basically four bolts to hold it all together. Perfect if you don't have trees
I love lounging in a hammock in the summer months. We recently lost one of my trees for hanging so this is perfect.
To test the ease of assemble we set this up in the t.v. Room. It’s relativity easy to assemble but I did find it heavy and bulky move. I would suggest assembling it where you are going to use it. It’s very sturdy and I felt comfortable hanging out in this .

I live in a very rural area with a lot of yard. I had previously already had one hammock stand and hammock by our pool, and we loved it! So I have been looking to add another one there for a while now. So when I came across this Gourime 9ft portable heavy duty hammock stand I jumped on it!
Setup was super easy surprisingly, it took me all of 10 min and I was ready to put the hammock on. It seams very sturdy and well built as well. Both me and my son were on it at the same time and we had no issues at all with it.
When I initially got this I didn’t really care about the portability aspect of it. My thought was that I would never use it. But after getting it I’m actually really happy about this! The reason is because during the winter months I can just break this down and put it away in the garage instead of leaving it outside in the snow and harsh weather. It’s actually very handy! Plus my other hammock stand I got last year I paid more than double the price of this one, so it’s also a pretty good value as well.

I was only able to assemble part of it due to space but it does go together easily. I look forward to trying it out with a hammock once the weather improves.

Works like it should
I have a lounging hammock, but I decided to try my camping hammock on the hammock stand.
The hammock stand works great. The metal feels strong and it was easy to put it together. There is a slight wobble where the center beam connects to the top bars, but it does not appear to be an issue. It held the hammock up great & did what it was supposed to do. It was also easy to store back in its carrying case. (Winter is coming- I want to keep it new). Sweet and simple.
I Can Finally Use The Hammock I Bought In Mexico!
I purchased a hammock in Mexico a few years back … and soon after moved to our current home. Unfortunately we don’t have any trees that are close enough for me to use to hang it from so it’s sat in the corner, waiting to be used. So when I got the chance to acquire this, I jumped on it. We now have a nice deck and I have it set up out there and I can *finally* use my hammock!
It’s easy to assemble and I like that I can take it apart and store it easily or take it camping or whatever. You bet me and my hammock will be doing some traveling together! It’s sturdy and should hold most people. All in all exactly what I’ve needed.

Because of that, we always had these metal frames for our hammocks. I have a nice hammock that I had not used for a long time because I had no real way to fasten it to any trees and no frame to hang it on. Now I do! This is an excellent frame - very heavy duty and works perfectly with the hammock I've had for a long time. So happy and pleased to get to use my hammock finally! I wish there was a way to make the frame less heavy, but hey, it's supposed to be a heavy duty frame so understand how that can't be helped...other than that, this frame is excellent.

Heavy Duty is right - Portable is different than you think
This is a heavy duty, well made hammock stand. I am a bit on the plus size and it has no issues handling my weight at all – so that is great. It’s well made and very strong – that being said, it is heavy and has large pieces. The only thing I can see being portable about it is that they designed it to have more separate pieces, instead of the U design you see on some of these stands. By breaking the U pieces apart, you can carry them – they are just heavy 🙂

OVEREALL – So this is heavy duty and super well made. I am not scared at all that this will not be able to hold weight. It’s built very well and will last many, many years. I think the aspect of them being able to market it as “portable” is that you are able to carry the heavy pieces more easily and setup/breakdown. Just don’t expect it to be super lightweight. I’m giving it 5 stars because it’s definitely an excellent hammock stand. I would recommend it to anyone, very nice – just NOT lightweight and able to carry in a small ‘duffle bag’. I’d definitely rather have this than one of the standard ones you would never be able to carry around or break back down 🙂
It's actually easily portable if needed but is also heavy duty to stay in one place!
I was surprised how easy this was to put together! Only 5 basic pieces that come with screws to screw them easily apart as needed. I did have issue with one of the upright pieces being too tight of a fit to line up with the base part hole, but oddly I could leave it as it was and have it be perfectly sturdy so I don’t even fault it for that.
This thing is awesome and even comes with a carry on bag. You could literally take this camping and sleep so cozy in the tent, off the ground, cradled. It’s that easy to take apart and put together.
But I love it on my back deck. I about fell right asleep a few minutes after I put this together and put the hammock on it. I would have except my handyman was banging on my house!
