Every home could benefit from these. The risk of the elderly and the young, and everyone in between, tripping on the stairs in the night is eliminated. Wouldn’t be without them now we are older.

Bought this for our daughter as she’s recently become a little scared of the dark – we no longer have to keep doors open and lights on during the night! Very easy to use – just plug it in and touch if you want to dim/ brighten the light. Great stuff!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersYou get two of these very useful little plug-in night-lights. The brightness has two settings. When first switched on it delivers the brighter light. If you just put your hand briefly over the front the light will dim to its lower setting. After a month or so of use I can say that these work perfectly. It turns itself on at just the right moment in the evening and reliably stays off during the day, which is what you want.

You will know why a light such as this is so useful around the house and if that’s what you are after this is a very good option at a very reasonable cost.

Purchased two of these. Came on when it was dark and off when getting light. Not a bright light but I didn’t want that it was a lovely soft subtle warm light. Just right if you got up to the toilet in the night or went downstairs.

Golden Review Award: 21 From Our UsersI got these when on offer (7.99), but don’t think the normal (9.99) price is excessive. I needed 2 and having adjustable brightness was a deal closer.
They look & feel well made. Each plug is ~8.5 cm tall (it aligns exactly with our sockets which are also 8.5cm) and each projects 4.5cm from the socket.
The dawn/dusk sensor works well and the brightness is easy* to set. To change the brightness, touch and hold the finger print logo (located between the light and the dawn/dusk sensor) and it will reduce in brightness. Then simply let go at your desired brightness. To increase brightness, touch and hold again. The light cast is warm white.
I have been using them now for a couple of weeks and they perform exactly as required. Of course the bulbs can’t be changed (as per night lights of old), but the ability to change the brightness is an improvement. I have switched the socket off and on and it remembered the brightness I set, though I can’t say how long it will remember the setting if left unplugged.
[* If you have impaired mobility or use a wheelchair, setting the brightness whilst plugged into a low level socket may be awkward/challenging. However as it remembers it’s setting, plug it into a high level socket to set the brightness first, then move it to a low level socket to use].

Received my order yesterday! Delivery was super quick! Can’t seem to adjust the brightness tho so hence one star, but they are adequate for what I need and I’m really pleased with them so far as they give a bit of reassurance to my dark landing during the night!

Obviously meant for a child’s bedroom for which I imagine they are perfect. I use one in my hallway so if I have to get up in the night I can get to the bathroom without tripping over or walking into something. It’s low brightness level means it doesn’t stop me sleeping if I leave the bedroom door ajar.

The LED elements are shrouded in a translucent diffuser, which means they give out a gentle light ideal for a night light. We use our in our hall and landing, so if we get up at night to pee, there’s just enough light so no need to put on any other light.

Good idea ..used for our upstairs hallway at night to save leccy and stop kids leaving the lights on when they go to the loo. Have one on the hallway and one at bottom of stairs. Work well-come on at dusk as per title and off (i assume) at dawn. Only small gripe is that our hallway is long and wide..so not quite enough light unless we double up with 2 units (one at each end)…so need to get some more. 2 should be ok on a smaller area though.

Whilst these lights are doing exactly what I need of them, it would be nice if they were a little bit brighter.

I bought these so that we could save on electric. Basically, I don’t want Hall or stairs lit up at night by more costly lights.

The good part is that they automatically turn on exactly when you need them, and turn off exactly when you no longer need them perfect.

I have one at the top of my stairs, and one at the far end of the hallway. This is just enough light for my teenage kids to arrive home late and not disturb us.

The product was smaller than I expected and it would’ve been better in bright light. However it is easy to use and gives off a really good warm glow. For a child’s room it would be fabulous and it will serve the purpose I bought it for (security) when I’m not at home.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI won’t lie, at nearly 30 years old, I still don’t like the dark. And my 10yo daughter has picked up on and followed suit with the same fear.
Leaving the landing night on every night was becoming rather expensive, as the bulbs that we have to use take a lot of energy.
First night using these and they’re great. They start off dim in the early evening, but once the area around them is darker they brighten up. Absolutely perfect for finding your way to that bathroom in the night. We have one on the landing and one in my daughters room. She’s gone straight to sleep with no issues. And I’m currently laid in bed, quite happy that I can see a decent amount of light through the bedroom door which is ajar.
Hopefully they save us a little bit of money too.

Got this nightlight for my kids, and it works just fine – but it’s not the brightest i’ve used – the last one we had was considerably brighter. It does come in a two pack, which would make up for that. I got the two-pack because my kids are rather boisterous and one literally ripped the last one we had into two pieces, which was frustrating (albeit really impressive).

If your kiddo needs more light and you’ve only one outlet in the room it’ll go in, i’d get a single one that’s brighter – mine are fine with just the one of these, which is handy because i have a spare in case my kid goes Hulk-mode and tears this one to pieces as well.

Maybe there should be a rating category for durability as well- would help parents of other Avengers spend money wisely.

These bulbs have a lovely soft subtle colour ideal for a child’s room. In fact they are also very good to give just enough light to be able to navigate from room to room for older people who are not too steady on their feet.

  42. CameronRoque says:

Good price for a twin pack, however they are not particularly bright.
They are quite sensitive, and need the space to be VERY dark before they come on. Doesn’t work in our hallway as it picks up the streetlights outside , even with the cotton blind pulled down. I stuck some tape over the sensor in the end.
Would spend the extra couple of quid and get a different brand next time.

  43. NoeliaP77zlovvr says:

Liked that fact that it’s a completely sealed plastic unit with nice rounded corners so no sharp edges. At 0.6 Watts it’s far more efficient than a traditional child’s nightlight plus no glass blub! The light sensor is very effective. The unit produces a very pleasant warm white glow.

  44. DanielDahl says:

I have used both in a double socket to illuminate a dark landing at night. It doesn’t have a convenient light switch if you need to get to the stairs. They are very efficient and work alot better than other night lights I have used.

    Lovely lights.
Our landing can be quite dark at night. The set of 2 we used for downstairs at the bottom of the stairs and for upstairs at the top of the stairs. It is very helpful especially for our little one if he wakes up during the night and need to go to the toilet (upstairs hallway) or he needs a drink (kitchen downstairs). Now neither my little one or is we don’t need to put the big bright lights on because these night lights do their job very well. As soon as they sense a bit of brighter light they will switch off and switch on as soon as they sense darkness. Great value of the money

    Good produc

Easy to use and works out of the box. The lights are just the right brightness to offer the kids a bit of support throughout the night without waking them up. The feature where they only light up when it’s dark is genius, we wish we would have had these sooner! Fantastic produc

Great value for money. Adapt their brightness with the ambient light, so you can keep them plugged in and turned on 24/7.
There’s a specific time of day where it’s not quite dark but not quite dark yet, where these flicker gently. Not massively annoying or anything, and goes back to normal after about 10 mins.

Will be purchasing more for around the house soon!

Good, they turn on automatically when it gets dark which is useful. They seem sturdy and decent quality. Only complaint is they’re a bit too bright for what we need and no way of dimming them. Plus they occasionally flash but that only seems to be when you turn the main light off ready for bed.

I earlier bought Eveready night light for 7.99 from B&M but those were broken & manufacturing quality was poor. Returned & found this product on Amazon. Ordered it and was pleased with the result. Been using it to illuminate my child’s room and hallway at night. Kid got up a few nights and had no trouble finding their way to my room to seek comfort.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI have this plugged in on the landing for people getting up in the night to use the loo. It is bright enough for that.
Personally I wouldn’t have it in a room to sleep with as it is too bright for me but when I have others staying over they have used it.

Nice little night lights and great price, so will do the job but too bright in complete darkness in my opinion. It seems the settings are around the wrong way.. surely when there’s still a little light it should turn on at it’s brightest, then upon darkness dim down a little?! The dimmer setting would be perfect for us in the middle of the night.

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersI’ve bought a few night lights in the past few years and they’ve all been sharp bright white lights. This nightlight gives a warm and cosy atmosphere which is perfect for bedtime and sleeping to which my kids like. It’s a bit brighter than I would have liked but I don’t mind as it’s a yellow light and not white. My picture shows the light in the darkest corner of my kids room which is nearly under the bed and gives very very minimal low lighting to the rest of the room. The light isn’t too bulky either so can fit next to a standard plug and it doesn’t stick out much too.

    Warm and cosy lighting

These are phenomenal. They just work. Light sensitivity has been perfectly optimised – as soon as you turn the main light on they turn off, and they dim in response to increasing ambient light levels. We find the brightness perfect for our needs (in a corridor outside the kid’s bedrooms), and the colour temperature is fairly warm, not cold and harsh like a lot of LED lights. Only issue I can imagine is if you are particularly photosensitive and want them to be darker there is no way of adjusting the brightness but, like I said, we find the brightness just right.
