Been using this for a few weeks and its defiantly helping to loose weight. It takes time to master it, It helps if you can get it level all around the tummy. I would recommend.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersBought this and I absolutely love it. I think the best thing I can say is that I let a friend have a go with it and she bought herself one within 10 minutes of trying it. It is easy to assemble, once you ‘get’ that it just clicks and then making it bigger or smaller is dead easy. When changing the size, just hold it to prevent the weight holder coming out of the hoop. The same with the actual hula hooping, once you get going, you’re away. I’ve been using reguarly and you do need a bit of space because the weight swings out, but it’s brilliant fun. I know one review said the weight came off, but I think you could easily add a cable tie for extra security if you wanted to, but I’ve had no issues with regular use of mine. Plan to incorporate it into our big fund raising push next year somehow. I wasn’t too sure when I got it, but it’s fun and it makes me happy when I use i

Brilliant weighted hula hoop , would definitely recommend, need to wear it tight to make it turn otherwise it won’t work right , the more you do the more you tone up .

Unusual design for a hoola hoop – but works very well. Slightly fiddly to put together but that was OK – the only real issue is that is is NOISY as the weight runs round the track

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersI’ve had my new hoop almost a week. I have been using a hoop for the last 5 weeks and I’ve lost 12lb (also dieting) and can really tell the difference in my clothes. I’m loving my new hoop. It so much better than my other one. Word of warning though – I am very bruised around my middle. You have to wear the hoop very close fitting as it doesn’t work well if worn loose. I am on a facebook hooping group and asked if anyone else had bruising and quite a few people said yes. One person suggested wearing a thicker top and someone else suggested using thin sanitary towels on my stomach to ease the pressure and it actually works. I started using the hoop on Sunday and as I said I have a lot of bruising but this will go away in a few days and I’ll be less tender. I will not stop using my hoop as I love it but just wanted to make people aware that this can happen. I highly recommend hooping and loving my new found waistline. Hope my review helps.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI started using it week ago, and used it 6 days in a week.
Took me a minute to get use to it and adjust the size. Very easy to take off or add the links.
So far is great, 2kg lost in one week (with healthy food, but changes to my eating habits only was giving me about 0.5kg a week lost a week for the last 2 months).

Overall very happy with this purchase.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersAt first when I opened this up I thought there was a link missing so was going to return it. Looked again at it this morning and figured out how to add extra links. After a couple of minutes of getting used to it, I’m up and away. Been over 40 years since i last hula hooped. This is amazing, managed to do 10 minutes with the help of YouTube. Can definitely feel it in my abs, that’s my morning routine sorted.
It is noisy though, not that it matters to me.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersIn fairness, I had no idea how fast this thing actually has to go to work. The product was exactly as anticipated and exactly as advertised so the seller and the product have nothing to do with my disappointment hence, the rating. It is ,though, so fast. I had to give it to a friend. It stressed me out.

Golden Review Award: 25 From Our UsersPut it together and put it on, hilarious trying to get it spinning without it just going round a couple of times, in the end you tube came to the rescue, with some good videos, otherwise would’ve just given up, it’s all about exaggerated movements to begin with and getting the cord with the weighted ball the right length, the shorter you adjust it to the harder it is. It takes lots of practice and am nowhere near being as good as the people on the video but as they say keep at it and keep practicing with it. It feels heavy at first and looks very bulky and looks so easy to do watching the different videos, but it’s all about stance and sideways or forward moments, if your back is a bit stiff like mine is can’t imagine yet managing to do 30 minutes all at once, as I haven’t got the hang of it yet, the rubber ball is heavy, they say its easier to use when the cord is longer and show how to add string, but the extra space needed means you would have to go outside to use it, in terms of weight loss as you do get a trimmer waistline simply removing links to make the circumference smaller is easy, but fiddly to begin with, it has to fit snuggly around your waist and not hang down, and looking in a mirror doing it to check it’s position is advised as the cord holding the ball has to stay straight. Think its worth practicing and getting the knack of it for a trim waist line.

A little noisy but once your working out to music it’s a blast. Managed to take off 3 links to fit size other wise it’s a fun equipment once u are able to get the hang of it . Comes with a cooling towel unfortunately it doesn’t come with digital timer or calorie tracker.

Great item, tricky to get going at first, but after watching some tutorials on You Tube I got the hang of it, at first I shortened the string but found it worse so put it back long and, Hey Presto I was away , easy just moving side to side ( not your feet)

Good and sturdy how it clicks together. Will fit quite a large waist. Took a bit of practice to get the hang of it,but great once you do

  20. Anonymous says:

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThe product appears pretty sturdy and was easy to put together. The extra links was useful as I needed a couple to get it to fit me. As a size 16 (UK) lady, there’s a bit of chub to encompass, but I was pleased I still had a couple of links spare after adding some to get it to do up.

I’m someone who is hopeless at hula hooping, so I thought this would be a good way to get some basic core exercise into my daily routine. There were very basic instructions on how to assemble, but no instructions on how to use. The first attempt was a disaster.

Luckily there is a YouTube video for pretty much anything and after a few false starts, I was away.

But, oh my word though it is so noisy. It’s like someone rattling a plastic sippy cup across playpen bars. Not something you can do at 5am without waking up half the household (plus the cat hates it).

However, noise aside, once you get going it is quite fun, although make sure you’re well away from little people, breakables, chairs and so on, because that swinging ball will take anything out.

I’m still enjoying it and I’m hoping that it’ll trim the middle bit of me down a bit over the next couple of week.

Golden Review Award: 19 From Our UsersI purchased this hoop end of January 23… Started hooping beginning of February 23… It is now March and the wheels have broken.
This is not an isolated occurance.
I am in a hooping group on fb and every day we have several posts about wheels breaking.
Now if it would’ve lasted several months I probably wouldn’t mind as there will be wear and tear when hooping 30min every day… But a month? I have messaged kmart for replacement wheels and I am waiting for a reply. I shall update here. The wheel issue is not only with kmart Hoops! Swiss activa and so on have the same problem.

Update: kmart has been amazing! Their customer service is so quick. Just one day later they are sending me a replacement for the wheel bit. Thank you Kmart!!!!

Update of the update: I have received two sets of wheels as replacement from Kmart! If you have issues with your hoop, message them on their website and they will get back to you!

The wheels are a BIG flaw that need improving

What I like about it the most, is the clips on it that allow you to undo and fasten it again very simply and quickly.
I have bought one in the past and fastening it was a real nuisance.
Once you get the hang of using it, and that doesn’t take long, it’s brilliant.
Not only is it great for burning calories, the joints of your hips, lower back and spine all get a workout too.
    I highly recommend this

After my slimming world teacher got one I decided to get one. I’m so glad I did. So easy to put together. I got the hang of it so quick and really enjoy using it. I’ve been using this for about seven weeks and have already removed two of the links. It is very noisy and you do have to ensure there is plenty of room around you when using it. Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersThis is definitely a thing where you get what you put in. I assume you’ll put it on first, swing it around and think what the hell is this? BUT you have to really engage in making it a worthwhile exercise and you’ll soon know if you’re using it with the right amount of effort/energy as you will sweat. Put your headphones on, watch TV for an hour and it’s a great exercise from your home.

I like using this with my Fitbit to know if my heart rate is in my active zones – that way I know I’m getting the most out of it and working hard enough to burn calories.

After using it a few times you’ll find different little ways to swing it to make it more fun/varied i.e. swing and bounce one leg up, swing bounce the other leg etc etc. Or encorporating arm air jabs or just vigorously bouncing from foot to foot.

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersOk so on first use, I was so frustrated. I couldn’t get it going more than a few rotations, I gave up and left it for nearly a week. I got it back out today having watched a few YouTube videos and realising I was going about it all wrong. So some advice, I hope it helps someone. 1) stand with one foot forward and the other back, shoulder width apart roughly. 2) keep the hoop level, not up at the front/back 3) keep the ball level with the hoop and do a HUGE throw round. Feel where the weight is and go against it. 4) you want to use kind of a rocking motion as apposed to round and round. 5) experiment with the length of the rope, supposedly longest is easiest, closest is hardest. I found this bit to be the case for me, I have it someone in between, probably closer than it is further. 6) Don’t give up, it took me a good while to get the hang of it, but it will suddenly click and you will LOVE IT! Good luck, and happy hooping 🙂

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI’ve really enjoyed using this, took me a while to get the hang of it but once you learn how to do it you don’t forget. Not sure how much of a workout it really is. I like that you can use it whilst watching the TV etc and I don’t find it to be that loud. My weight on it burst, made a right mess but when I got in touch with the manufacturer through amazon they sent me a replacement weight which I received the following day which was an amazing service.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersHere’s how you place it on your body and use it.
    1. Find a clear area and connect the piece around your body wherever you would use a hula hoop (try different areas out)
    2. Hold the weighted part or the string connected to it horizontally from the floor
    3. Swing it evenly around you
    4. Use the boxer leg movement (Hold your right leg in front of your left and hop from each leg. Look it up if you dont understand. )
    5. Continue and count your swings if you’d like or watch tv. If it’s too hard you can loosen the string, and if you’d like a challenge tighten it.

My experience: It’s very fun once you get the hang of it. It’s quite loud so wear headphones if you dislike loudness. Watching tv when doing so is very fun but make sure you dont swing too much or it may unloop and the weight will smash your tv, windows etc. If it’s too tight take off a piece but if its too loose after I suggest re-tightening it if the tightness doesn’t bother you too much. After a while the boxing stance doesnt need to be used, using it as a regular hulahoop works too.

  47. Anonymous says:

     United Kingdom

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersEasy to use once you’ve got it together, but difficult to adjust the sections if you’re sharing it with someone who is a different size to you! Found it hard to get the sections out. Quite noisy, but I’m still able to hear music or podcast over it. Not exactly like hula hooping – no need to constantly bend over and pick up the dropped hoop, obviously – but also not quite the same hip movement required I found. This is more subtle, plus you don’t need to concentrate quite as much, once you’re sure you’ve got the required clearance for the ball. Still get a work out though. Remains to be seen if it removes some inches from the waistline, but it does help work the core.

  48. Anonymous says:

     United Kingdom

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersUPDATE: So I”ve very quickly mastered the art of the regular hula hoop motion. I found that if I push it down so it sits just on top of my hips and keep my hands resting on my hips so that they are just above the hula hoop,
(which also helps keep it in place) then I can keep the ball moving in what I feel is a more comfortable and regular hula hoop motion. It’s also more fun this way.

Ok Ive omly used this twice so far and it takes some getting used to. I’ve managed to keep it going for quite a few minutes by putting one foot infront of the other and basically using a rocking forwards amd backwards motion. Now I don’t recall using a regular hula hoop this way, I think there is a lot more body movement doing it with a regular one so it remains to be seen if this actually works in reducing my stomach. If anyone has managed to use it with a regular hula hoop action I’d be pleased to know. Maybe it just takes practice.
I should add the rubber massage bits are in fact hard plastic, one of which was broken when i received it. Not a problem as I don’t need them all but annoying all the same.

Golden Review Award: 335 From Our Users10 DAY FINAL UPDATE
    UPDATE AT BOTTOM

So throw out everything you know about hula hooping. It’s easy to assemble, comfortable to wear. I was quite pleased I think my highest score was 8. I did do for 30 mins but kept stopping & starting. So im a size 24 & used all the links but I have ordered more. The ring has got to be level which can only happen if I have it high if I have it low it keeps going lop sided so I’m hoping the extra links will place lower on to my hips & I should get a better rhythm. I went on YouTube to watch others for a better rhythm. You definitely need a lot of space around you. I thought I had enough which I didnt so shortened the rope which apparently makes it harder. The bag is already weighted & I would say its heavy. enough. The leaflet recommends 30mins 5 days a week to see benefits. I’m counting my quick swing every 5 count as a win. It isn’t quiet but then I wasn’t expecting it to be but its not overly loud me punching the punch bag is louder. Nobody downstairs heard it just me cursing at it. Its not going to be a miracle piece of equipment but hopefully it will help alongside every else. I have measured and we will see what happens. So day 2 I’ve had a wiggle with the hoop to try and get it level which I managed & it’s defo a bonus I did fairly easily 10 rotations until it went wonky again. Some ppl say it hurts them but I don’t feel anything. At the end of the day if ya have to keep swinginh after every 3 rotation for 30mins I’m sure it can be included in the excerise routine.
    Update
So for 3 days I been stop start swinging until my extension pieces arrived. So I tried with 1 extra & then a second but no joy and then I had a think…….. I removed the 2 extensions and a 3rd piece making it smaller instead and as you can see I did good after 22 attempts i done 32 revoloutions. As you can see in the video it is not on my hips its above my belly I know wrong place but it sat level and as you will see I got that ball to swing. It definitely has to be level & tight. Being tight I felt every spring, still didn’t hurt & no bruising. Movement – I’ve seen 2 ways the one I got working is a very small, slow wiggle side to side. The other is slow again with a gentle rocking forward & backwards. Like I said at the very beginning throw out all your hula hooping knowledge you are not doing big hip swivels. It is doing something with my knees I can see and feel a difference in a good way and same for my thighs I’m very happily surprised. Time will tell if having the hoop higher will make a difference. It is definitely something that takes a lot of practice its not like jumping on an exercise bike and go. I hope my review helps and if it does start doing something il be back.
    SO
it’s been 10days I’m managing 10mins non stop it is easy once you find your stance and rhythm. I’m finding it’s working out my ankles. Calves, knees, thighs front & back, bottom, hips and lower back sorry I don’t know all the technical jargon lol the bit your waiting for ……….. -3lb & -1inch waist in 10days. It doesn’t sound a lot but I’ve been on diets most of my life & have never got my waist to shrink. I was ill last year and lost all my calf muscles & already I’m seeing a difference & my chunky knees are changing too. I was a skeptic at first & I do try any new gimmick going but have to say out of all the diet pills, patches, magic earrings, bracelets, waist bands etc this is showing it is working. So remember if you get one don’t give up with i

Bought the weighted hula ring to help with my fitness, it’s not only great for this but it’s also a fun way to enjoy exercise

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersI won’t traumatise anyone with a picture of me using this but let’s just say for someone who is uncoordinated and seriously allergic to exercise – this has been a surprisingly great purchase which I have managed to use for a full week now. It takes a little bit of getting used to but is really easy to use once you get the hang of it. Always wear something to cover the area the hoop is on and I found it helpful to have small hand weights (a tin of baked beans will do) to do something with my arms while I was doing it, which also gives me more of a full body workout. It can be a bit noisy but loud music in your ear pods sorts this right out.

Once you get used to it and get the right rhythm and motion going is great but hard work, you defo work up a sweat!

I’ve had 2 previous hoops but this one is by far the best. Sprayed a bit of WD40 on the bearings and it runs super smooth. I’d highly recommend

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersArrived quickly, and mostly assembled. Had to add an extra few pieces and was ready to go. Am size 18 and used 21 sections.
Was easy to adjust length of string to fit my space, took me a couple of days to get the hang of, but found a handy you tube video for tips.
Once I got going that was it.little bit noisy, but that’s easy to put aside. Could feel it in my muscles after 1st session, did leave a little bit of bruising from the massaging.
Would recommend to anyone who can’t get on with a traditional hula hoop.

I have a big tum size 20 and I still had loads of links left over. Once you get the hang of the rhythm it’s very easy to use. I burnt 100 calories in 15 minutes. Such an easy exercise to burn cals and can even watch telly. Win wi

Love mine but had to watch a YouTube video to get the hang of it. Also if you have daft dogs do not try to use it if they are in the room.
I manage half an hour easily if I’ve got music on to move to.

I’m a granny and this is fun! I’m not very good at it yet but my younger grandchildren love it!! My 10 year old grandson had it going so fast I thought he was going to take off like a helicopter!! Best to keep pet dogs out of the way too. I’m still practicing!!

Bought this after hearing/reading mixed reviews. I think it’s fab and so much better than a weighted hoop that bruised me like a peach. This won’t tone me but it does get the heart rate up for the 30, 40 or 60 mins that I tend to do. Had to take out a few bits too in the 6 weeks I’ve been using it.

Very easy to put together, was a bit sceptical at first ,but I can definitely feel the tightness in my tum . Got a long way to go to do a good amount of time as only doing 5 mins , will build it up gradually.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersEasy to assemble and being a complete novice with hula hoops, it took me a few attempts to get a rhythm going. However, once I did, it was great. I’ve only been using it for 30 minutes a day for the past few days but I can feel a difference in my energy levels already. My hips feel less stiff too. Really impressed and would highly recommend.

Arrived much earlier than the initial estimated date. It was easy to assemble, but more difficult to use than I anticipated (not because its complicated, just because I am SO unfit).

I will use it every day until I have reached the recommended 30mins….right now that seems a long way off, but I am determined to stick with it.

I found it easy to assemble, a bit difficult to get going at first. You need to find your rhythm with it, after a week I’ve lost an inch of my waist and hips, so glad I bought this

Very easy to put together. Do not use a cheaper make or brand. They are very light, flimsy and the wheels fall off or seize up. I had to return both. I use mine 5 times a week for 30-45 mins. A good buy

his is a great little exercise to do for 15-20 mins a day, seen a result already!! although the end do dig in a little just wear extra padding and its not too bad! easy to adjust sizes and take apart! definitely need to make sure you have enough room !

it arrived quickly; assembly is easy. Funny as it may sound I had to watch a youtube tutorial and figure out the best position for me to keep it moving. It differs from a traditional hola hoop but ones you know how to use it it’s fine. A bit loud when the weighted part moves through the links

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI rarely leave reviews, but thought I’d post aa it may help someone else. I’m a UK size 22 and this just fit my hips with all the links used.. I found it best to use my hands on the side of my hips to hold this down, because if it moves up to your belly it is nearly impossible to keep it moving.. once I got in to a rhythm I found this so easy, and is a low impact exercise to do while I’m watching TV! My son loves this too (he’s 8)

I’ve wanted this for a while and took the plunge ,
    Good for beginners ,
But the links putting on and removing are quite difficult without forcing .
Leaves bruises when using as it’s quite intensive

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHad to xheck out tutorials online to get going as not that easy. Adding or removing links are tough as they are stiff and afraid they will snap. The round knobs on each link dig into the stomache but it appears to be doing its job.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI brought this and I feel its overpriced compared to others ive seen that look exactly the same
It’s very important to make sure you check the connections are in properly on the opening and closing clasp as I must of not clipped one in correctly and the weighted ball came flying off across the living room thankfully not hitting anyone. Also don’t over do it its so easy to get carried away as its actually fun to use but 2 days later I was in agony in my back and calfs they were solid and had permanent cramp in
But overall a good product I’d just say shop around first unless it’s on offe

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersNot easy to start. Just picked it up again after ordering 7 months ago

I could not for the life of me even get this going. I decided to pack it in the box and store away.

I decided to give it a go after seeing tiktok videos and thought, I have to try again.. 1st time putting it in after buying it 7 months ago and I was going crazy.. then it stopped. Couldn’t start it again. So I put it down, had a think and came back again. 30 minutes later.. I’m still hooping..

I’ve already had to disassemble to fit. .

I bought this basically as I had spine surgery in 2018 and I put on weight due to the surgery.. couldnt keep active but now I need to lose this weight..

I have a way of getting it to work now after thinking about it, although if I watch in a mirror, it puts my stance off .
    Loving it now

I found having it lower helped with motion as too high up & it did not work, can’t wait to get back on it!

Golden Review Award: 150 From Our UsersIf you consider buying this as a miracle weight loss/toning gadget you’re in the wrong section – try buying a unicorn instead.
If you want a bit of fun exercise- buy it!
If you also follow a calorie deficit diet you will eventually benefits using this smart hoop.
I tried for a year to hula with a conventional weighted hoop, couldn’t do it for months and then 30 seconds at most. Strapped this on, one swing and I was off.
    My recommendations:
MAKE IT AS TIGHT AS YOU CAN. It works better if it’s tight around the waist.
FASTEN the snaps / links carefully and gently. Any reviews saying anything broke is highly likely down to user error. It’s a very sturdy hoop, bigger than my friend’s cheaper one.
IT TAKES SOME EFFORT TO KEEP IT GOING! If you don’t break a sweat then you’re doing it wrong or are already superfit.
WEAR A TOP – any reviews with people showing bruises are down to stupidity of putting it on bare skin.
ANYONE’S BALL FLYING OFF …fit it on properly in the first place!
Yes, it’s noisy. I saw people looking out the window when I did it in the garden. Wear headphones and listen to music if it bothers you.
Ps: partner reluctantly tried it, swung it and wiggled hips for 30 seconds, claimed it was doing nothing. Correct, he’s now looking for a unicorn.

Ive had my hoop for 3 days now, i’ve been using it 30 minutes each day. It took a while to get a hang of it, but getting there now. Its quite noisy while using but you get used to it. Very fun workout, each to add and pull off the knots, be aware to make sure all knots are on properly or it will just fly off while using it and the weight could cause some damage. Over all very happy, great at home workout and hopefully see some results in a few weeks time.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersBought this as I was dubious to try but wanted one.
When it came I was surprised to see that it was packaged well, most of the knots were put together the ball and the string were in the middle.
It was easy to assemble. The knots fit on by gently squeezing the ends to fit in the holes. The weighted ball is attached via carabineer which then attached to the black adjustable rope.
That’s attached to the runner which is also easy to put into the knots.
Once on, it was difficult to move unless I swung it. But with only a 5 minute practice, I’ve sort of got the hang of it. I’ve never hoola hooped in my life but I could already feel my tummy and my bum muscles working. My heart rate jumped to 139bpm… Which is good…. Not great but good..
Only down side, it does make alot of sound when in use. I’ve seen people say that it pinches but ngl if your sensible and wear clothes then its fine!!

43inch waist, all 24 Knott's fit with a small gap
