Used these shears already a few times for garden plants. Very light but cut like a knife through butte

Beautifully made lightweight garden shears. Excellent robust quality with very sharp blades. Built to last and well worth the money.

I bought these to trim box hedging and I am very impressed with the quality. They are sharp, well made and very easy to use. The hedges looks so much better than using an electric trimmer.

Comfortable to use with good grips, blades are sharp and cut easily through the small branches of the bush I trimmed. The design of the mechanism gives an effortless cut on the light trimming I used it for. Overall very happy so far with my purchase.

These shears are strong and durable and we were very impressed by initial results.
We were then contacted by the founder of Kimura who said they had discovered a manufacturing fault and sent us a no cost replacement from their shear range. A handwritten letter of apology followed .
This was excellent customer service having found a fault and put it right rather than waiting for a customer to complain.
The replacements are brilliant and I shall be ordering a second lightweight pair for my wife. Thank you Kimura

If you prefer not to use a powered hedge trimmer then these shears will handle the task well. I used them to trim a tough hawthorn hedge and was impressed by how sharp and effective they were. A privet hedge put up less of a struggle!

I bought the ‘Pro’ Garden Shears for use on evergreen bushes in a garden neglected for two years. I also needed a chain saw, hedge trimmer and secateurs, so a big job.
These geared shears are the best I could find and are very well made.
So far they have only seen light use and they work well. They will probably cut thicker twigs than other shears.

I have been struggling with an old pair of garden shears then decided enough was enough! I saw these, read the good reviews and sent for them.and I’m not disappointed! They are nice to hold, and very sharp, making my gardening so much easier!

They get the job done but I found if you try and cut down with them they become unattached as you can see from one of the other reviews.
Once you get used to working with them and find ways around it they do a good job 🙂

After initially purchasing what turned out to be one of a faulty batch of Kimura shears, I was absolutely delighted to receive a brand new and complimentary replacement set by return.
Having used the shears on many occasions I have found that they are both incredibly sharp and extremely well designed and balanced for virtually all trimming requirements in the garden.
I would highly recommend these shears and the company to my fellow gardeners.

Well made Shears that are easy to use and sharp. I recommend a small amount of oil to keep them working smoothly. This should allow them to give many years of good service. I would certainly buy again as the quality verses price is well balanced.

I saw these shears were on offer so I took a chance and bought the long handled shears as well as the regular length garden shears. I am a professional gardener and usually purchase Japanese tools as I find them to be the best in terms of quality. These shears have so far been very good at cutting a variety of shrubs, boxwood topiary, lavender, privet hedge and had no trouble cutting through even the thicker wooden parts of the plants. I would recommend these to other gardeners as an slightly more affordable alternative to Okatsune or Tobisho shears.

I’m very pleased with the shears – I’ve been using a Spear and Jackson pair for years but I’m finding these much better. I initially tried them out on my overgrown allotment and they whizzed through thick long grass with no trouble at all. Since then I’ve done a bit of hedge trimming and they work well for that too. The notch is a new idea to me and came in handy for the occasional stubborn twig. The blades are more pointed than on my old pair which felt odd at first but it turns out they make clipping awkward corners a lot easier. Replacing old tools tends to be disappointing, as new products are rarely manufactured to the previous standards, but this is a rare case of something actually turning out to be an improvement on what I owned before.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought these for my mum as a gift and she is thrilled with them. Not only do they look very smart but their efficacy is second to none. She told me how trimming felt enjoyable and far less of a chore with these because the blades went through stems/branches like a hot knife through butter. (jasmine, honeysuckle and a bay tree on this occasion). I think once one has tried Japanese tools there’s no going back! A wonderful discovery.

I really like using these shears. They are lightweight which is great for when I have to cut at head height. But at the same time they’re strong. I think the ratchet action really helps. They are sharp and made light easy work of a large bay bush that got out of control. It looks like they’ll last a long time.

Kimura Pro Garden Shears, Premium Hedge Shears with Lightweight Aluminium Handles, Sharp Japanese SK5 Blades,

We ordered these on here and they were delivered the next day. Through no fault of the seller, the shears were faulty, and after reporting them a new pair was delivered the next day.
The seller runs a small family business in the South of the U.K. and is well worth dealing with. Also included with the replacement was a handwritten apology (you will never get that from the larger dealers).
The shears are definitely the best that I have ever used and are so light my partner who has arthritis in both her hands can use them.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI was looking for some quality shears to use for cutting a large patch of grass which I’d left to go to seed in the wild part of my garden and these did the job perfectly. They are light enough that I didn’t end up with arm ache and very sharp to glide easily through the grass. Looking forward to using them on some bushes next. Have been cleaning and wiping with oil after each use to get the best out of them and expect they will last for years to come. Recommended.

Really pleased with the appearance of this appliance, and also for the prompt delivery. I am looking forward to using this but unlike the rest of the UK the northern islands are not enjoying a heat wave, or anything like so I have not yet had the opportunity to use them as I don’t get many opportunities to get out to do so.

These were very sharp and not heavy.
I would advise the wearing of gloves with these, at least until you get used to the balance of them. I made great work of my hedge with these for ten minutes. Wish I’d listened to my own advice. Fours hours in A&E later, and ring finger stitched fully back on, I had time to think about the above advice. Wear gloves.
