Good spread of light from this LED light unit, very satisfied with my purchase
I purchased this unit to replace my old one, it is a little tricky to install but it’s nothing that an extra pair of hands won’t solve. The light is far from soft and the socket appears not to want to accept a standard shaver/toothbrush two pin plug at first, though I did discover that there is a knack to it – insert the upper pin fully first and with a little more force than normal push the lower pin home. Having done it once the plug is easilly removed and replaced, so mines a keeper – overall the whole unit looks nice and smart on my bathroom wall
Bought this as a replacement for my old non-working shaving light above bathroom mirror. Fitted in five minutes.
Simple, clean design – but it’s far too bright to use in a bathroom in the morning.
“Just get a replacement light” will be the answer you are looking for, but good luck finding a light that does not give off the sort of light the Ark of the Covenant gives out.
This is a brilliant light – good value and great to use. Its only down side was poor fitting instructions.
It would help if the installation instructions mentioned that the diffuser must be in place for the light to work. My electrician thought there was a fault when he “tested” the unit without the difuser.

Replacement for same output light thats switch failed, so much brighter than the old one.
I purchased a like for like, only a LED light had it fitted and it started buzzing continuously ever since, I can’t believe how loud it buzzes I’m wheelchair bound and can’t take it down. Im really disappointed.

Great product but no longer required. requested return on 11th October and told that Hermes would collect next business day. 6 days later I am still waiting for Hermes to pick up, thats 5 days later. What should I do?
Bought to replace an existing light that didn’t have a shaver socket. Very cost effective as included a new bulb. Only requires two screws to attach to the wall.
Socket itself is a little stiff.
This was an replacement light in my caravan, much better than the old light brighte

Good light and fairly easy to install, I agree with previous comment that the rear-entry cable hole is too small.
Plug shaver in, starts off OK then used the again yesterday and fitting for the socket for the plug seems loose
This unit replaced an existing one. I had to get an electrician to fit it. Was pleased with the result. Very quick delivery.
A great lamp. very easy to install and good positive on/off switch. Good LED light as well, so economical to use. Some purchasers complained of a hum from the transformer but this one is completely silent. Would buy again if ever needed.
The product is very good, however the destruction book is a bit lacking in important details. I noticed some customers only gave it one star as it did not work and were returning it. I assume they were trying to use it without the lamp diffuser in place. If the book said it will not work without the diffuser they probably would not be returning it.
It did seem to be lightweight compared to the original. However it is much brighter and works well

Excellent shaver light ideal for interior bathrooms with no outside window. The LED bulb illuminates the bathroom most effectively which makes shaving considerably easier. However, the intensity of the light does accentuate greying hairs, facial lines and age spots before they actually appear!
Light doesn’t work if cover isn’t fitted firmly, which was tricky to do. Returned the first one as we thought it was faulty only to find couldn’t get the light on the second to light up. With perseverance fitted cover tightly and the light worked. !!!

This was a staight swap for the earlier version that had a filament light tube. The led light tube gives off a much brighter white light great for shaving etc.
Looks good, works well with easy fitting and great price.
Its a bit challenge to install, very little space to go with wires, but after few adjustments works fine. Its not as sturdy in construction and unpluging shaver its better to hold lamp with other hand because its bending and have impression that fall of the wall. It works and looks fine, its what I expected for a price.
It’s easy to instal up to the bit where you have to fit the final part – the diffuser. Without fitting the diffuser Very fiddly- to near impossible – the light does not work due to hidden 2 micro switches which the diffuser plugs into – if you can!
When you do manage it, it really is a good looking lamp.
If they could improve that bit, it would be an all round 5 star.
It has been fitted today and it seems to work. I have no especial love or hate for it, and it seems to do what it is supposed to, and that is what I am using it for. I do not intend to use it as a hair drier or refrigerator.
Tricky to install as fixed wiring has to be adjusted if replacing a previous shaver light. This unit has no switched shaver outlet, it is live all the time the unit is connected to electricity supply. As a result the left hand end holding the shaver transformer becomes warm when installed.
