Pesky fly had been bothering me for days! I’ve tried everything to get rid of these small black flies.
    Even sticky strips.

Definitely works and you can see from the pic I finally got it.

Makes a high pitched cracke/zap when it comes in contact with the bug.

5.0 out of 5 stars ZAAAAP!

As a particularly sick and twisted individual I really love this. I’ve blown hundreds of annoying bugs to bits with it. They go with quite a crack. Nice and reliable, easy to use, effective and hours of fun. Great job.

Works really really well. And is actually quite satisfying, cooking a fly on the racket. It’s been knocked about and still no issues. Good size, not to big or small. Fully recommend

What a product! I was a bit nervous about buying one of these over a zapper that plugs into the wall, but the price was good and the North of Scotland has been excessively hot recently, so I needed something to get rid of all these flies!! I got home from work today, put the batteries in and WOW! The flies were GONE!! They drop on the slightest touch, the noise is quite loud if its a normal sized (or larger) fly, but they deserve it for coming into my home uninvited. Basically no noise on fruit flies! I was so happy I held it up in victory and cheered (see attached image), I am in awe of this killer tennis racket.
    10/10, couldnt recommend this more!

5.0 out of 5 stars AMAZING! NO MORE FLIES!!

Had trouble with moths invading my house last year and making their selves comfy in my home, got tired of seeing them when I went to bed and when I woke up like an unwanted ex so I busted out this bad boy and reduced their population right down to an endangered species. This also works well for small flies.

Light weight a bit annoying you’ve to hold the button to keep it on as opposed to a turn on and off button, but very effective light and easy to use

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersOnly had this for a day so far but works great, have dispatched a number of flies last night without incident, quick and easy. Takes two AA batteries which are not supplied and has a button on the handgrip to hold down to activate it, a green light illuminates and the bat is live ready to go. Swat the fly and there is a blue flash and/or cracking sound to indicate it has done its job. Bear in mind this is not an always on device, is not mains powered and requires some skill on the user side to make contact with the fly. So if limited dexterity or you want a mains powered or always active device this is not the one for you. If power/dexterity isn’t an issue and unwanted flies are driving you crazy (especially the ones that won’t take the hint and fly out an open window to save themselves or want to fly in a circle under your ceiling light), this is the bat for you. Bear in mind however it doesn’t come with insurance, so if you mistakenly bat your ming vase off the mantlepiece you are on your own!

I’ve been pretty aggressive with this thing, and it’s held up. Smacked it against walls and corners to make sure I get the flies before they fly away, and it just serves its purpose perfectly. Make sure you have batteries

I bought this to replace another make of fly killing tennis racquet that I broke swatting a fly. This one is sturdier and better designed. Also runs off 2 AA batteries & is therefor cheaper. I highly recommend it. You do have to be quick enough to swat the fly but when you do, this kills it. I’ve just incinerated a fly with it, which was very satisfying.

Brought this to deal with wasps/flies whilst camping and it worked a treat. It makes a spark on contact with the flying insect you are wanting to get rid of and if the button is held too long the critter you’ve whacked with this starts to smoke!! Not had one critter survive after being zapped by this beauty of a gizmo.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI read the negative reviews about this and was quite concerned. I needn’t have been. It’s big and sturdy and kills flies instantly- they did not get back up like others have described. I used good quality batteries and you do need to have your finger on the button for a couple of seconds before you strike. Got two instantly and they cracked and sparked and were caught in the mesh. Simply shake the bat outside and the dead flies fall off. I wish I’d bought it weeks ago.

This has proven very helpful. I now keep it nearby in the lounge or even better in the kitchen as a fly can be a pain around food!
My husband loves using it too & as soon as sister saw it she asked me to get her on for her birthday. Now I have this I think it’s strangely a deterrent as we don’t seem to get so many flies.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersHaving veered off buying one of these a few weeks earlier I eventually bought one on the (I thought rather overly-enthusiastic) recommendation of a friend. I am so glad I did! I work from home full time and while I love having the windows and doors open it does mean I am harassed by flies from time to time.

    No more!

These electric swatters really do as they claim. A direct hit is signalled by an amazingly loud ‘ZAP!’ and tiny lightning arcs. Medium-size houseflies (the type that are common in the countryside) tend to be killed instantly; bluebottles however are made of sterner stuff and tend to be stunned. Keeping the button pressed down for a few more zaps solves that. (Don’t overdo it – I made one smoke doing that.)

The only real downside is that it draws attention to any poor tennis skills. I’ve found the best results for all flies is to try to apply backspin; that way they pass through the outer mesh at an angle and are instantly zapped by bridging the gap to the inner electric mesh. Laugh all you like – you’ll be doing it too after yours arrives!

    All in all, thoroughly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersIf you have the skill to squat a fly then this is the next step up,
Watch them die if you want that added joy,
Let’s of quite a bang when you get a direct hit so it’s put me off seeing if it will give the wife a jolt incase I’m on a murder charge,

This is weird and wonderful gadget. It looks like a tennis racket but smaller. The charge lasts for ages.
You need to practice as the insect needs to touch the wire so accuracy is important. Don’t flail it as its heavy and could cause some damage to your nick nacks.
You’ll know when the insect has connected as there is loud and satisfying crack! Sometimes even a spark.
Deals with most flying or crawling invasions.

Flies do not get away now. Easy to clear a room. May take more than one charge for larger flies. Some big ones are just stunned and will wake up, just be aware and handle accordingly.

  46. Anonymous says:

     United Kingdom 🇬🇧

Brilliant gadget. Have struggled with cheaper models which are inconsistent and usually have battery compartments that allow batteries to ‘disconnect’ on use. This is not only very efficient but also gives a very satisfying ‘zzzap’ on contact. Bigger flies may need an extra touch wherever they fall, a small price to pay.

  47. Anonymous says:

     United Kingdom 🇬🇧

Very efficient for zapping most bugs but large blue bottles need more than one zap which is very frustrating.

  48. Anonymous says:

     United Kingdom

Some smaller flies are slow fliers and it’s fairly easy to swat but high speed largish bluebottles with their wits about them are often a challenge. Need to practice your swing, perhaps after tennis. If you hit one there’s usually a popping sound and whiff of burning fly which can be unpleasant around mealtimes especially. Some people seem to delight in using these swatters and will sit for hours swivelling their eyes and head indoors or even outdoors hoping to catch flies or even wasps. Is a bit obsessive and perhaps they should see a psychologist or counsellor. Can cause family arguments over who should have the swatter. For those people this gadget is great value for money but they should feel uneasy that the highpoints of their life include this pursuit and it has come to this.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBig and sturdy probably could play a round of tennis with it. Needs a good power up at first but then it’s quite long lasting charge. Love the holder to keep it on. Needs some getting used to but once you’ve chosen your particular style, it’s dead flies all the way. A satisfying crackle and flash as flies are zapped. Might be my imagination but flies have seemed to stopped visiting so much, maybe dead flies give off pheromones ?
Recommended, my sister has a different more expensive zapper but admits mine is better at killing flies.

Not easy actually catching the flies but that’s because flies have Ninja moves, not because the zapper is no good. Also I discovered it comes in handy for zapping my daughter’s boyfriend, just to keep him in line!!

It’s ok, it does kill flies but not with a zap like I expected. You have to kind of hold it on the fly once the fly lands, it doesn’t kill them by swiping it through the air as I expected.

Much higher voltage than the one it replaced, off the scale on my meter. The slightest touch and the flies don’t get up again.

I’d found the fly spray wasn’t even working and didn’t like the chemicals around the children. I didn’t want to get the passive electrocution machine in case it’s didn’t attract them.
This is a targeted device and required a bit of skill as the flies don’t want to be whacked, but it works well on contact. 100% better than the spray. My forehand is improving immensely.

We’ve had a couple of these and this has been the best, one hit and he is well and truly zapped! Other ones we have had we had to hold the buttom down while the fly keeps buzzing a terrifying death- this one seems pretty instant. Nice, thick and sturdy too, not easy to snap in half if you accidentally get carried away….

  81. Anonymous says:

I read a lot of reviews before my purchase. My opinion is it works pretty well but I have to say, catching a fly isn’t easy, and when you get one sometimes a single spark doesn’t execute them. I’ve found that the best way to kill flies is to bring them to a window and put the racket over them, eventually a fly gets in and then you can kill it or even burn it.
Occasionally it does take time to catch them but you feel great when you do!
BTW if someone said here that doesn’t work then perhaps it’s a problem with the item otherwise it does work.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI had lots of flies in my kitchen during the summer months and I’d seen these a few times so decided to buy one based on the reviews, so glad I did! It works really well unless you get a mega fast fly in which case you then turn into a tennis pro jumping around your kitchen with the racket trying to waft it over the fly! But overall its been good as I can just swat this over the fly and dispose of it and its not flying round trying to land on my food when I’m cooking etc just don’t hold the button down too long if you have a fly on the racket, toasted fly isn’t the nicest of smells!

Pretty much does what it says on the tin.. the burnt out flies is a bit smelly like burnt hair.. when you manage to catch them.. no fault of the racket but they seem slightly savvy to my efforts..
The air produced in waving the racket sometimes ushers the flies along rather than catches them would be my only negative.. so possibly slower movements are more effective.

Golden Review Award: 66 From Our UsersIt works. However, one has to know that the cunning flight path of the average fly is not easy to predict. Therefore this has quickly became a competitive item in our household as to who’s technique works best.
As insight, one attack mode was to wait until they are on a wall and basically batter the bat against the wall. This has a high success rate but does eventually mean the frame of the bat takes some damage. In our case – we bought another. Such that now the Samurai technique used is to hold one bat in place higher in anticipated flight trajectory while (slowly) swinging the other bat towards the flys. Double bubble Fly Sandwich! The zapping of success is most satisfying.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersI have purchased a lot of different makes of these over the years. My last one broke recently as I accidentally hit it against a wall while using it. So, I had a look around at the many on Amazon and for some reason, I liked the look of this one. Nice solid yellow and black casing with a wide trap area which is just what the doctor ordered. The first thing I noticed after taking it out of the box is that It is a very solid item. I opened the battery door and the door was also of high-quality solid plastic. Usually these doors don’t fit properly, but this one is like it is of a quality manufacturers television remote control. The batteries also fit nicely and don’t spring around like other makes I have used. The power trigger is also flat and large to find easily and is also a solid button. I started using it in the garden as we have a lot of flies around the back door. I pressed the button and waved it around and when the flies hit the trap area, they went off with a loud bang. All flies are now gone if I use it each morning outside the back door. I used it on my landing to get rid of many moths we have eating our clothes. Again, every moth that hit it went off with a loud bang. It made me jump at first as it is quite loud. But the bang is very satisfying when they could be eating my clothes. I will be getting a second one of this same unit to keep upstairs as I must carry this one everywhere now. Also, a good item to keep near the TV as moths come in and keep flying around in front of the TV. This machine puts a stop to that. So, it also relieves stress knowing you have something that is very easy to use to get rid of these things while you are trying to watch TV. Overall, a top-quality unit that really does the job well.

Very satisfied… does what it says it will do and good value for money.

Golden Review Award: 42 From Our UsersHaven’t owned one of these in years, but the recent heat in the UK has resulted in so many flies that just love to gather in my living room.

I ordered this based on the decent reviews – and have been very impressed with the results.

I’d say that trying to get fast moving bugs isn’t the easiest (should have worked on my forehand more in tennis)… But most flies and mosquitoes are easy to get.

The snap and pop of the fly exploding is strangely exciting and satisfying

Seems sturdy and easy to use but we haven’t managed to swat anything yet – maybe because our ceilings are too high and the bugs fly out of reach!!
So no idea if it actually works but it should do if we can get in the right place at the right time.

We’ve had various of this sort of thing in the past but this is the most impressive. Some other bats, you need to look and see whether you hit or missed. With this, there is no doubt. I know it sounds bad but it literally exploded the fly like an indoor firework. They definitely don’t suffer!

It works really well on smaller flies, not so much the massive ones! Makes one hell of a crackling noise when you get one, very satisfying. Spent ages chasing flies in our house. However my partner accidentally bumped it against something and the handle broke. So be careful!

If the fly I s airborne it really gets zapped if you mange to bat it, but if it is on any kind of surface it difficult to zap.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersNeeded an additional electric fly swatter urgently, and this appeared to be the best value for money of those available for next day delivery. In practice, works well and appears to be sturdy, unlike a number of zappers that can be bought on High Streets. Only minor downside is that duly zapped flies can be a little difficult to extricate compared to two older electric swatters with different head designs. However, no problems with mosquitoes!
