It’s a ligh
My Screwfix LAP 10w failed. I’ve yet to dissect it to see why. This one was so simple to install. Works a treat 20w. I simply set the time to 45sec and the switch to nighttime only which is a moon picture. Mine is under my gable soffit, I’ve had problems with birds nesting and pooing so I did some joinery work around it with chicken wire underneath. As belts and braces although supposedly rated IP66 I applied clear silicone around the cable entry point to unit and some on the very top of the sensor. Why not? Can’t be seen anyway. Also make sure your cable loops DOWN then up into the unit to prevent water running down the cable. I’ve Two 50w LAP lights that are still working fine. Hopefully this one lasts the winter months ayyyye. Guys, everything is from China as always, mass produced. Pay the money take the chance. Cheers

Simple to set up
My previous version seemed to have lots of tiny wheels to twiddle, this one is far more straightforward with just a couple of slide switches which can be selected before putting up. Despite saying 10W, it is more than bright enough for a typical garden.

Very easy to install as was replacing an existing light that the PIR sensor cover had been broken on so was going off at the slightest movement of leaves etc. Good length of attached wire that should be long enough for most fitting situations.
Super easy to install and operate
Often PIR lights have the awkward little rotary adjustments that are a pain in the backside. This is really simple Day or Night, and how many secs.

Even though this light is 10 watts,I thought it would be brighter.I like the compact size and it looks neat.The sensor isn,t as strong as my last light,but it does the job.
Works really well
Motion sensor is reasonably good working as it should. This light is very bright and it’s lit duration can be set to a mere 10 seconds to on constantly, the light was definitely worth what I have paid for it.
Not suitable if your old light wired to mains
This light is ok if you have to plug it in but needed a junction box as my old light wired into the mains circuit.

If it fitted my purpose
Well, I bought two larger ones around 4 years ago ( same make) this one is almost a mini version of the previous two. However, as tech advances, the smaller ones are as bright as the larger older ones.
Perhaps, being smaller it is not so wide a light. But generally like it, and it is easy to ajust to your needs.
I may buy annother one before too long, yes good.

The light itself is perfect.but the condition it arrived in was disappointing to say the least. It looked like it had been returned. Had more clear tape on then you have ever seen.

connected up too wiring off older security light the led is very very bright and picks you up a good distance can set day or night and time
When first switched on, the light comes on and stays on whatever the settings of the switches, (in daylight anyway). I left it switched off until dark and tried again. It then worked just as it should, came on if I walked in front of it and switched off after the set time. The next morning it didn’t switch on in daylight, just as it should. I mention this as there are many comments about faulty lights that stay illuminated at all times. From my experience, after the initial test when first installed, turn the power off until dark. If you switch on after dark it will then work as advertised.
Quick to install
Product was priced reasonably, and was very easy to fit, switch around from the old one. It’s not very bright, but this is fine as we only need it to be able to let the dog out when it gets dark.

Very happy with this product. I live in Scotland and it rains all the time, even in summer. Yet the product is working fine. No problems. The motion sensor is just the right distance for my needs. The brightness illuminates the desired area. Installed without fuss. All good.
Compact unit, easy to install. 10W is plenty for lighting up a good area in a domestic application.
Have used Miekee lights for several years. Under most applications they last well and are reliable. I keep a spare in stock as when they fail there is no user serviceable parts and its usually only a 5 minute job to replace the unit. The only down side is that the wall bracket coated steel and does rust quickly and thus stail whatever its screwed to. . All the fittings and screw otherwise are stainless. I made my own aluminium bracket to prevent this so I just swap out the light when it fails and connect the new cable. Great value lights and quick delivery.

Great for inside garage
Bought the 10w version just to add a bit of light to the garage entrance as I reverse in on a night.
After having an electric roller door fitted I Installed this inside on a rafter the sensor picks up the car reversing in and add enough light to allow safe manoeuvring while reversing back into the garage.
Does the job, great price
Small and simple.
What I really like about the light is how small it is. Half the size of the one it has replaced. Two switches on the base. One is light or dark mode. The second is the timer. 10sec, 30sec, 2mins and 10mins approximate times from what I can remember. But 2mins is 2mins exact.

Excellent little lamp ideal for my purpose, to illuminate a path at the side of our house, were we keep our refuse bins. looks good, one metre of cable was alright with me as I had plenty of cable from the previous lamp!
Fantastic light, especially for the price
The light is seems very well made. I like the setting selection buttons, they are under a rubber seal at the bottom of the PIR. I liked how it was set on daytime mode, so I could check it worked before it got dark

I brought this product 18 months ago as a replacement for a more expensive light (twice the price) that had stoped working. So when I needed another light for a different location I did not hesitate to purchase another one.

Why have I never thought of this before? I bought to install inside my garage so that when I come home and park my bike in there I would have some lighting without having to fumble around in the dark to swtich the main lights on. It works a treat. Very happy with it.

Brights and works well
Works well and is brighter than my last light. Currently having a problem with false activations but it seems to be down to certain car headlights so it’s simply a case of repositioning the sensor which I will be doing. Otherwise great light.
Not even a year old and the light has stopped working. Waste on money.
The light has stopped working checked the fuse and thats fine .
So that means the light unit has failed after less than a year .

Light arrived on time well packed and complete with fixings and easy to follow instructions. I was also impressed by the length of cable. As I was replacing a similar light, I only needed about 30cm of cable to connect to an existing connection box, so cut off the bulk of supplied cable. Simply connect cable to mains and you’re ready to go.
The light seems to be very sturdy and well made.
The controls are very straightforward. There are only two PIR control switches. Both switches are easily accessible but concealed under waterproof rubber flap.
The first allows you to choose whether the motion sensor works just at night or daytime as well. The second switch controls how long the light stays on – four options from 10 seconds to 2 minutes.
Once fitted, the light can be vertically adjusted. The sensor can be independently adjusted both vertically and horizontally.
Fitted a week ago and has worked well – bright enough to illuminate my large driveway without blinding neighbours over road. Happy so far.

I daisy chained 4 of these lights around the outside of my workshop, and powered then from a switched fused spur from inside the workshop. A 1 amp fuse is all that’s required for all 4 lights
I set them up when it was dark, it’s easier. Just point the PIR’s in the direction you want them, and fine adjust them until you get them right. It took 2 goes on each of my lights. If you set them up on daylight mode, you’ve got to move them again to get to where the switch is to change to night mode, so you’ve now lost your setting. Just fit then and do it at night….it’s easy. I intend to buy some more to fit around the yard, they are so bright and the light spread is good, and almost cost nothing to run. i have all mine set on 45 seconds.

Can't be adjusted.
It is purely a motion sensor so it works all day when it detects movement. Can’t be adjusted. On for 15 seconds but will last for years.
Bought to replace failed unit of same make.
Bought the 30w version as it was cheaper than the 20w version on the site. The previous unit died – a failed LED array – and I am hoping for longer longevity from the replacement unit. As it comes prewired, replacement was a doddle, a case of simply swapping out the old unit for the new one and checking it for operation. At the price a good deal, and given the IP 66 credentials I would anticipate good waterproofing against the elements. It throws out a good white light onto my yard, is adjustable in range so as not to be triggered unnecessarily by passers by, and it provides a welcoming light when returning after nightfall. It is a lightweight unit, so it puts little strain on the mortar bed.

Good enough lighting for back garden.
The light works well with ample lighting for my back garden. Because it’s a sealed unit, if you have existing wiring, you might have to purchase a waterproof junction box. Very easy to mount on the wall.

This unit is Brilliant, my only gripe would be that you cannot connect into the rear of this unit you have to purchase a electrical circuit box to join the both cables together one at the rear of the light and then the cable from your property but once complete its absolutely brillia

I have 2 of these on my property now, easy installed and very bright. Settings easy changed on the motion detector so can be changed from day to night settings and different time settings. Looks tidy.

It’s ok what I brought it for no good but putting it else where so can turn on/off as once on doesn’t go off
It was to replace a faulty one bought locally which was never that clever. This one however is much better suited to the application required. More direct line for the sensor without 180 degree coverage.

Great light to replace old pir lights
This light is bright and the motion sensor works well for a driveway, very neat compared to our old pir light, the only negative is you cannot wire in to the light you have to connect using the wire attached.

Where do I begin? Started off really impressed with this light, easy install and great light output. However, after some severe rain and wind the sensitivity from the PIR died and water was clearly visible in the sensor. Replacement light was sent out free of charge and within 2 weeks of install the same issue has occurred. There is clearly an issue with the weather proofing on the PIR on these lights which isn’t much use in this country!!
