Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersA comparison of cost to the market leading companies in this area, will tell you that this solar panel is half the price of the expensive competitors. So I have limited expectations of what the device could do when it arrived. To my surprise, it was very well packaged, has amazing build quality, appears to be capable of providing 65-70w power to my battery and is an out and out winner. So glad i didnt buy the more expensive option.

Got this and a VTOMAN jump600x to power my alipcol fridge freezer. works a charm.
60w if not more during full sunlight. The fridge did take the battery from 100% to 65% every night, but as soon as the sun came out, this panel charged the battery up to 100% by mid afternoon and kept it there till the sun went down. also charging phones and bluetooth speaker.
    Very good product.

Used to charge my Energizer PowerStation 307.2Wh(96000mAh) Portable Power Bank. Came with all the leads and different jack plugs for DC output. Currently charging at 55Watts in direct sunlight. It is very well made and looks as if it will last a long time.

I purchased in April 2022 and have now been using my Mobisolar 100w panel for a good few months. The recent heat wave with strong sunshine has seen the panel register high 80s watts while recharging my Poweroak / bluetti ac50s portable power station. I’m impressed with my combination. Not the most expensive solution (go to Jackery, or others). But super reliable and efficient. Angle the panel to the sun, adapt as the sun moves across the sky, or witness a drop in power (an obvious outcome, but missed by some). I’ve recharged a bunch of stuff directly from the panel, not a problem. I’m building an off-grid garden room and installing an eco-worthy system. This panel will provide a welcome boost to the 100 ah lipo battery

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersPurchased the unit and hooked it up right away to my Arc 5 portable unit, full sun 12pm and could not get over 62watts, this was connected to the provided XT60 connector then to a MC4 10gauge extension cable 15ft then directly into the ARC 5 unit.
The XT60 connector that comes with the unit is wired with connector to looks to be 16-18 gauge wire to MC4 connector, that gauge wire will have a lot of issues passing over 60w, i then purchased off Amazon a XT60 connector with 12 gauge wire to MC4 plugged it in with a sunny day with a bit of overcast and my unit was now charging at 82watts. Don’t get me wrong the panel is well made and performance is excellent, just need to upgrade the connectors that come with the unit to get the full potential.

Have had for about 10 days. I bought it alongside an Anker 535 Power Station. The solar panel is easy to use, 1 lead straight into DC port, pick the correct attachment from those provided and straight into the back of power station.

Have had 73 max in a south-facing garden with a quick adjustment in angle every hour or so whilst working from home. Then I use it from 8am until lunchtime to power laptop, monitor, charge phone, watch & anything else I can find. Would recommend.

I bought this to provide solar power to a GoLabs G300 Power Station. It worked really well, in moderate direct sun it charged at 59Watts, that’s impressive compared to the mains charging which doesn’t get above 44Watts. It could do with a longer DC lead but that was the only criticism.

Before and after purchasing the MobiSolar 100W panel; the customer service has been very helpful, prompt and courteous – they answered all of my questions in great detail. I’ve only tested the panels once on a partially cloudy day, but peaked at 82W on my Bluetti EB70s power station. The product comes with 2 year manufacturer’s and 5 year electrical performance warranty which is great.

I purchased my original unit about a year ago. It worked great, but for some unexpected reason when I took it out of storage this spring it was dead. Would not charge anything, no light indicating it was functioning, etc.

I messaged Mobisolar on there website chat, and almost immediately received a response. This was surprising because it was on a Sunday. A few messages back and forth, we had determined a faulty circuit board. I was sent a Canada Post link and sent the old panel back. Once Mobisolar received confirmation that the panel was in the mail, a replacement was sent. In less than a week, I had a new panel, at no charge, and just in time for my families camping trip to the mountains (unserviced site).

Great product and even better customer service. It’s refreshing dealing with a Canadian company.

I received the panels the day after I placed the order which was great, but what left me flabbergasted is the support I got thru email by Mr. Ivan Gerginov, the company CEO himsef!!! Being new to the solar power world, I was at a loss trying to connect my new panels to my new MPPT controller and the RV battery. AWG wire gauge, MC4 and XT60 connectors, it all sounded like mandarin to me. He answered all my nerdy questions 3 and 4 times in the same day, and made it super clear for me how to get everything working properly.

I used the panels to charge my new Jackery Power Station with the included cables and adaptors. With a partially sunny day, I went from below 50% out of the box to full charge before sundown. That’s more than ok for my needs. I ordered the required cables for the MPPT controller and the battery terminals on Amazon. Can’t wait to connect the second part of our set-up.

Thanks again to Mobisolar for an incredible service and the patience with which the company seems to be dealing with their customers. Being a service director in the automobile field myself, I can tell you this type of customer care is becoming very hard to find!

Easy to set up and plenty of connectors. Chargibg my Jackery and saw 81w when I first plugged it in. Will be using for upcoming camping trip with no hook up so should be ideal with the Jackery power pack. Also go big with solar as in the UK you don’t often get full sun so expect a lot less than 100W.

Good quality and ideal with a big battery pack

Before purchasing the MobiSolar portable 100w panel solution we must have exhausted our questions as we are newbies. Ivan the CEO of MobiSolar was above and beyond your typical customer service support. He answered questions promptly, this even after the purchase of the panel which was received in approx. 2 days. We received links, support about connections and various types re-assuring our confidence with the purchase made. I highly recommend the MobiSolar portable solar panel for these reasons.

FAST FORWARD: We recently took a trip and used the MobiSolar panel with our Max Oak Bluetti EB150 Solar generator and were pleasantly surprised that for the most part, this panel provided between 86watts and 97watts of power. All we did is move the panels to provide optimum sun. We prefer the portable setup over having a fixed solar panel on your vehicle, which would require one to move the vehicle each time for optimum sun. FYI: Make sure to ask questions regarding your Solar generator, as each generator has its limits of power input/output and how many panels you can use, whether parallel or in series for your situation. One regret is that we got a 10 foot extension MC4 cable with our setup, realizing perhaps a 20 foot cable would have been better.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought this for a Jackery Explorer, because the Jackery panel is so expensive, and this is a very similar design. It comes with the correct cable and adapter (plus several others) to connect straight in to the Jackery, and a handy zip pouch on the back to keep the other adapters and cable.

Charging is limited to around 64W, but my understanding from lots of other reviews is that this is a Jackery limitation, not the panel, so was expecting this. Got this consistently on a moderately sunny day, haven’t yet tried with thicker cloud.

It wasnt very well packed for delivery (this is a Mobisolar responsibility because its their factory packaging box), and on mine the socket circuit board was loose from its mountings (and didnt line up) on arrival – fortunately they make it easy to access this from screws on the handle and I was able to remount it with no obvious damage done, and now seems firmly back in place. Wasnt an ideal start, but not a big deal given I knew this was a budget option and easily resolved.

All in all pretty pleased with it. Objectively, I’ve knocked off a star for the minor issues with packaging and circuit board mounting, which add to a suspicion that sone corners have been cut, but for the specific criteria as a 1/2 price alternative to the official Jackery panel, I’d give it 5 stars, because it does the job perfectly.

Decent much cheaper alternative for Jackery Explore

Does the job well whilst connected to an ANKER 400 power station. For the price I’m happy with it.

Build quality is okay, it’s a little weighty. The ports on the back could do with a cover to protect against liquids or light rain.

Supplier appears to be based in Reading, manufacturer is in Canada.

Wanted to note this is a short term review, will try and update after this coming camping season is over.

    Performance:

Chilly morning here in Winnipeg (10 AM, -24 C). Clear skies.

    1. Very happy with output so far. I would estimate I was able to pull about 70W – charging Jackery 240 (64W max limit for Jackery 240) and phone (about 6W draw as confirmed by Jackery).

    2. Tried charging two power stations at the same time using DC outputs at the same time (again 2X Jackery 240, newer models so from what I understand with MPPT controllers). Result about 68W total with constant charge of 45W through DC output 1 (XT60) and 23W through DC output 2 (5521 connector). Individually both ports would charge single Jackery 240 at 64W.

    3. Using QC port seems to have worked with my phone (fast charge option on automatically using LG G8X). Regular USB port worked fine also. Have not had a chance to try out the PD out option.

    Cons:

    1. Fit and finish could be improved. The MC4 harness could be better insulated, will need to make some changes here. The plastic panel with the ports seems to have a little too rough of a finish but not too bad. Panel does not quite align with ports 100% but all the ports are accessible and seem to work fine.

    2. Would be good to have all the ports capped for protection against elements. Will need to 3D print some caps.

    3. Carrying handle could be ergonomically designed a little better. Seems to be a little too wide width edges cutting into your hand. Not too bad though.

    4. Would be good to add holes at corners for potentially hanging the panel. Some competitors have that feature on their product.

    Pros:

    1. Portable. Very easy to carry around and pack into your vehicle – but not to take on hiking trips etc, more meant to be stationary at a camp site. Glad I went with 100W model as it is a better fit for my power stations and is not that much bigger than 60W version it seems.

    2. Overall quality is very good, will see how it lasts.

    3. Very decent output performance so far, will test long term.

    4. Very good options for charging devices including PD claimed at 100W max.

    5. Canadian manufacturer. Product support is good so far.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI just received the pannel so I may leave more feedback in a while.

The build quality is very good. You can feel it will last.

I charged my phone and was surprised how fast it went (this is my first solar panel).

A must to be able to stay connected to the Internet in case of a long lasting power failure. Note that if you need to use a modem too, you will need a power station in addition to this pannel.

I only wish there were some DC adapters provided, for popular power stations such as Jackery. I had to buy those: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B06XRX3VZS

I bought this 100W Panel to use in an emergency grid-down situation as I live in an apartment. I like the fact that I can place it on my balcony facing the sun using heavy duty bungee cords and connect it to my EcoFlow River solar power generator inside. I have not tested it in direct sunlight yet but also have the option to place inside my large living room window and the power light on the panel does light up. Overall I am happy with this purchase and pleased that my email question to the Mobisolar was answered promptly. I do wish the connector panel was waterproof but I think I can work around that.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI am using this panel as primarily an emergency backup system along with a Jackery Explorer 1000 To power a wheelchair lift for my house. The panel folds up nicely to store until needed and the built in kick-stands work well to position the panel as needed. It wouldn’t be fast but possible to re-charge the Jackery on it’s own but that would be an extreme case if needed. The seller is fantastic with very quick response and technical help, very committed to his product and making sure things are right. Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this item to recharge the Jackery 500 power station I keep in my minivan to power a 40 liters refrigerator and recharge all my USB devices. So far, I only used it on a 2 weeks camping trip. We had very warm weather and it was up to the task, bringing my Jackery almost back to 100% by the end of the day, profided I left it in the sun long enough. The maximum power I got from it is around 70 watts but then, we were at the very end of august in Ontario. I figure I would get more in June or further down south.

Note that you have to place the panel outside to get good power output. I tried once to place it on my van dash and catch the sunlight through the windshield but the output was much lower.

Also note that you may need an adaptor to connect it to a Jackery power station. Before buying, I emailed Mobisolar Customer Service and they answered all my questions within a few minutes, even sending me a link to the exact connector I needed to buy. Great customer service !

Finally, the panel is well built and looks sturdy. It feels like a much more expensive product.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersReceived it today. Great first impression.
    Very well made.
Good they provide those wires so I had no problems to connect DC2 to my PWM Renogy 12v charge controller – works. (for now my battery is fully charged, and I was getting 5W only at 13.1V on the batt). Will discharge this AGM 55AH battery tonight and try to charge it via solar tomorrow and see how well it goes.
Will update my review as I use it.

    Update 1 ( 2 days use):
mid-August 2021. Bright sun, clear sky, noon, perpendicular orientation: getting 13.1V x 4.8A max = 62W output from the panel. with PWM controller my battery is getting only around 50-58W. 20% loss.
I suppose with MPPT It could be better.

After a day in the sunlight it warped a bit. the kick-stands are pulling it in the middle , so the edges turn inside. And after a day or use , when I close it – magnets do not lock. The plastic (orange handles, with magnets and charger) is warped too. Because of overtightened screws – it becomes white around them.

Update2: At a brightest sun (around noon) and perpendicular orientation , using USB-C PD3.0 only. It could deliver only between 15-45 W and could not continuously charge macbook 13′. So it is useless if I want to charge this tiny laptop. However, it could charge my phone very well.

After reading other’s reviews i am thinking something is wrong with my panel, as the power not even close to 100w. I’d understand with a PWM controller it generates less power, but its own native USB-C PD3.0 must provide at least 60-65w at full sun and charge a compatible device (as declared in the description)

I used it for a festival weekend recently and not only did it fully charge my leisure battery in an afternoon, but was charging multiple phones at the same time too.

Really glad I made the decision to go with this brand.

Bear in mind, it doesn’t come with clips, I had to buy these separate and rig them to the supplied cables, which is easy enough to do.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis panel is a perfect addition to my portable amateur radio endeavours. It’s also excellent for powering up my laptop when I am not close to any other power source. Thanks for a great product at a great price. VE3AC/VA3FMM

Golden Review Award: 32 From Our UsersAfter a considerable amount of time (12+ months) looking into Portable Solar Panels and watching review after review (HoboTech). I was set to get a Jackery SolarSaga 100W. The Price of the Jackery however was completely out of my reach, where other brands sell them for much less for 100-120W panels. After checking amazon almost 3-4 times a week for the past year just to see if either Jackery had a sale (proper one) or another competitor has finally stepped up to the plate, I found Mobisolar. Judging by the photos and only a small number of reviews a newbie like myself decided to take a chance. After purchasing, delivery was quick and packaged nicely. There is a film protecting the panel and is easily removed. The build quality is robust and has a nice weight to it. It’s on the heavy side but that would be my preference as leaving this on the ground using the built in kick stand, I don’t have to worry about it flipping over with light to medium wind gust.

The cables that it comes with are limited but I would gladly make that trade off due to it’s price. I can easily grab a longer cable via amazon.

    Testing:
(Unfortunately my Jackery 300 order has only been placed and due to arrive next week. This will show the panels true capability. I’m hoping for at least 80W + charging on a sunny day) I will update this review once I receive the Jackery.

    – Charged a Blavor 20,000mAh via USB-QC to micro USB from 70% to full. It did take 3hrs 30mins but that’s a fault on my part. I had some railing shadows on the cells and it wasn’t pointing at the optimal angle towards the sun. I’ll perform a re-test once I deplete the Blavor battery. (I repositioned the panel on the Lawn from the deck where it was more optimal).
    – While the Blavor was plugged in the USB-QC. I also had an ANKER 2nd Gen Astro E7 25,600mAh plugged in via USB-A. This is regulated at 5V/2A (10W), so I would suspect similar charging speeds via 120 wall outlet. **Update** checked my common USB 5V chargers around the house and they’re rated at 5V/1A, this panel rated at 5V/2A and the Anker’s input is 5V/2A should charge the battery slightly faster. The Anker started at 25% after unplugging the Blovor 3hrs 30mins the Anker was at 50%. The Anker is now at the 75% indicator after 5hrs 58mins so 6 hrs. That’s pretty good considering I was constantly moving the panels around and shadows on the cells half the time. Usually the Anker takes overnight to full charge via 120 wall outlet.

    Pros
    – Unbeatable price. For panels in this form factor and build quality the price is considerably more.
    – Customer Service. I had a question regarding the charging cable and the owner of the company responded the same day and it wasn’t even a business day. (Sunday). He continued to email myself with excellent recommendations and other great products for the panel. He also confirmed Panels bought this coming September 2021 will be shipped with all in one cable for different power stations.
    – Excellent build quality.
    – Portability.
    – Array of ports in the charging panel. Specially USB-C PD3.0 @ 5-20V/3A; 20V5A (Max.) up to 100W
    – EFTE Lamination on the cells for durability.

    Cons
    – Missing grommets for bungee cords, ability to hang the panel.

    Overall:
I absolutely love this thing. I’m temporarily using a clear blue recycling bag for a case as I don’t want any accidental water splashes on the ports and just try to keep it clean in general. This is my first real solar panel and once I receive the Jackery, camping and fishing trips will be easier.

    ***Update***
Received Jackery 300. (Talk about cuteness overload).

    Time – 1:46pm
    Weather Conditions – Cloudy/Hazy
Solar Charging via 5521 cable – Fluctuating between 69-70W

    Time – 3:20pm
    Weather Conditions – Cloudy/Hazy
Solar Charging via USB-C PD3.0 – Fluctuating between 43-44W (5521 unplugged from main panel port)

For a cloudy/hazy day, charging @ 70W is pretty darn good in my opinion. Will update on a Sunny Clear day.

    ***Update Purchased another panel***
    1:00pm after rain
    Dual charging
    Panel 1 used 5521 cable
    Panel 2 used USB-C 60W cable
    Getting 110-112W input.

Great Product and outstanding customer Service.

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersI’ve had the unit for a few weeks now and wanted to give it some use time before I posted!

Firstly it’s Really well made, which I was a little worried about as when I bought it there were no reviews for the unit and it was a toss up between the solarsaga or this unit – but this was a third cheaper! So thought I’d risk itReally glad I did!

Collecting – being in the north west, the sun is not our friend! on clouded over days I see between 15-20watts, on hazy days I’ve been getting around 40-60watts and when (we actually did have sun!) it’s blue sky I’ve had 85- 90W, obviously that’s not the full 100 it’s rated too but you do have to work on getting the angles right! Luckily the unit has two legs which you can use to angle to peak collection.

On the side of the unit are 2 USB ports (one rated to 60w) 1x usb-C, a DC barrel output and a TX60.

I’ve been using the TX60 port and connecting up to my Bluetti solar ‘generator’ – to do this I did have to by my own MC4 adapters and fix this to the included cable which came with the panel – I’ve spoken to the team at mobisolar (who are great btw) and suggested that they include these moving forward.

Negatives and these are minor! Wish the unit was waterproof and the outputs on the side had a rubber cover to stop water and dirt getting in!
Secondly, as mentioned above I hoped they’d unit had included a MC4 cable or the adapters!

Overall extremely happy and would recommend the panel to anyone!

Great little panel - great support team!

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersVery impressed with this 100w panel and specially for its price. Well built and seems that it would last a long time hopefully. The performance is very good as well. I have compared it side by side to the 80V from Aimtom because at first i thought it wasn’t performing well before i learned that so many factors affect the efficiency of the solar cells such as the elevation of the sun in the sky and the temp of the cells (hot days won’t be as efficient). It is very hard these days to find a cool day with clear sky so my testing is based on a 27c day and clear sky. The panel was pulling an avg of 65w while the 80v was pulling 47w. Percentage wise this panel was producing 65% of its rated capacity while the 80v did 59%. I was using the ecoflow river max (which uses MPPT charge controller) as my load. I have seen this panel produce 78W at one point (around 10am of a sunny morning) so i know it’s a capable panel when the right condition presents itself. Since it is hard to get the perfect condition in Canada i bought another Panel and now i am getting 130w avg by connecting them in parallel. Considering the cost of the two panels is equivalent to one panel of the well known brands, you are actually getting more output with mobisolar even if the other brand produce 100% of its rated power. The panel folds easily and has magnet to stay closed. The panel is sturdy and normal wind will not be a problem. The only negative is that the panel lacks some of the connectors for the most commonly used generators but i learned from contacting the MFG that they will be providing more connectors in future shipments. Regardless, it is still a very good value even you buy those connectors on your own.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersThe panel is excellent. I don’t have a device that can take 100w yet but I can get 60w watts out of the DC port and power delivery port on a sunny day.

Be aware the 100 watt panel is large and heavy will work great in a car or a boat. This is not a panel you can take in a backpack. But when you have sun and need to power a laptop or charge a power bank this will do it.

    ——

My story that is not likely to affect you but beware:
Amazon shipment damaged the solar panel during shipping “Fullfilled By Amazon” and I had to argue with Amazon about it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersLook good have not used it as the regular solar panel connections or adapters don’t come with it to hook up to my charge regulator, I want to hook it up to my batteries as a portable generator. At this point I don’t know if this has a built in regulator, or if I can use my own.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersVery powerful portable solar panel.
I am very pleased with this portable solar panel, I was able to charge multiple devices at the same time without problem in a sunny day.
I have used few different brand panels until now however comparing them with this Mobisolar panel I feel this panel is way more superior than others.
The panel is professionally built and to be honest its exceeded my expectations. I could say this panel brings me peace of mind knowing my devices always will have power.
