Brought this as my partner is receiving hormone treatment and he is experiencing hot sweats great size fits on a little unit so can be directed at him height wise noise level is good for use at night, it has a night mode that switches off after a certain amount of time, although we cover the LCD as it does shine, but doesn’t bother me as I’m normally out for the count! Great good value for money and comes with 4 ice packs, has a remote so you can adjust in bed, all in all a great buy.

It does what it says. The noise is bearable and keeps the room temperature steady and cool and fresh but don’t expect any miracle from this device!

Good enough for 1 room here’s a tip before you fill it with water chill the water in da fridge first then add the freezing water then the ice packs cool air straight away using it in our bedroom at moment in the night so ok to use 10 out off 10

Excellent product good value for money, but one problem is the switch for the fan speed. When on speed number 2 it blows as if on speed number 3 and number 3 blows as if on number 2, someone mixed up the connection but other then that I would buy another.

Better to have auto shutoff when water is low, but other wise Very good
This fan is good but a bit noisy, have too tv turned louder than usual, it is good to keep you cool in this sweltering heat we having at moment 14th Augus
UPDATE
So, after a week of use, we have had a mixed experience. Some days we’ve found the air cooling works better than on other days. When it was at its hottest, we had to keep changing the ice packs every hour (2 in the top, 1 in the bottom), but it still didn’t make a difference and we were getting hotter. It also became wearisome to have to keep taking the entire unit to the sink to empty out the small water tank.
Finally, we began to notice the icepacks expanding to such an extent that the packs were concaving with the bulk of ice. This happened to 3 of the 4 packs, despite the fact that we did not fill them beyond the “max” line (we filled it just below that). We became concerned that they might ‘crack’ open, so had to take them out of the freezer.
As we’ve had more cons than pros, we’ve decided to return the unit and just continue to make do with our Dyson and cool pads.
ORIGINAL POST
After much research and reading of reviews we opted for this air cooler. Many thanks to the reviewers who posted about the water tank plug which comes in the instruction bag. I remembered this and we plugged the tank before filling with water.
We ordered the model that comes with 4 ice boxes – these arrive empty and in case you’re wondering about the powder inside, DON’T THROW AWAY – it’s a gel that keeps he ice boxes from defrosting too quickly. The picture shows you the machine on a towel – it is in use for the first time so we popped it on a towel in case of any leakage but there was none. Yes, you will get a plasticky smell when you first turn it on – that’s to be expected when it’s new. We expect this will fade out within a day or so of use. It’s currently in use on one of the hottest days; the room temp is currently 27 deg C but the air coming from the fan just using water at its highest speed, is cooling. We’re sitting about 2 ft away and can feel it so it works. Feeling much cooler now!
Cons: at the highest setting there is a clear noise, but turn up your TV and you’ll be fine.
Also, don’t be fooled into thinking this is an aircon unit because it’s not and if you bought it thinking that it is then I’m afraid you’re in for a disappointment!

Perfect size for my living room although the ice packs that come with it don’t actually fit in the top, can’t close lid completely
I was glad to have in the heatwave of 40+ (c). It is good enough to cool you down but don’t expect the aircon effect. I used it at night and it helped to fall asleep. It is overpriced, and it smells really bad of cheap plastic. weeks later the room still smells toxic when using it. The quality of the plastic mould is cheap, and the top trim pops off when handling the unit.
let’s see how long it lasts.

Bought for my Wife during the hot spell. Works well, although not an air conditioner. Neat.
Great cooler does what it says cools a large room enough to be comfortable
Great cooling system! Given us and Dave our rabbit alot of relief during the hot days!
I use two ice packs at a time with a two litre bottle of cool water from the fridge and it brings the temperature down quickly!
Also good white noise for drowning out unwanted external sounds!
This fan is amazing you can add cool blocks and chill the air coming through it so it’s just like an air conditioning unit but cheaper love love love i
I love the machine. The remote doesn’t come with batteries I was isolating couldn’t go buy any it’s a brilliant machine I got my first proper nights sleep in ages. It is a tad noisy but it is what it is I can sleep even with it full on x
From the moment I put the casters on and then put some water in the reservoir tub underneath and then NHplugged it in switched it on it was giving out cold air that you get from a freezer haha I am well impressed because the reason I got it was all the fans that I bought because I’m in a wheelchair my wheels went over the feet of the stands and the fan ended up on the floor so no more for me this little machine is the one for me me and I won’t need a buy it again because this one is really good and it’s going to last me forever so thank you very much Mr seller and Amazo
I FIND THE PRODUCT VERY GOOD ,VERY MODERN, AND CLEAN LOOKING. I BOUGHT TWO COOLERS BECAUSE OF THE WEATHER CONDITIONS BEING VERY HOT AND MUGGY, I SUFFER FROM C.O.P.D. A BREATHING PROBLEM SO THESE ARE A LIFE SAVER. I WAS UPSET IN REGUARDS TO THE DELIVERY BEING SPLIT, ONE FROM THE SELLER, AND ONE FROM AMAZON, WITH NO NOTIFICATION IN REGUARDS TO THE SECOND COOLER, WITCH INCIDENTLY TURNED UP ON THE 27/07/2021,IT HAD BEEN TOTALLY RE WRAPPED AND TAPED, IT WORKS FINE/WITH NO DAMAGE. THANKS.
Nice looking product, easy to use, only fault is its not as cold as I thought even with the ice blocks.
Great little unit only fault is water level indicator on front difficult to read could use a marker float in window.
Good product cool night’s sleep i keep 2 litres cold water in fridge to feel water tank and 2 ice packs
I like the low noise on the lowest setting, barely noticeable. Also the directed cool air and the remote control which makes it much easier to get the right effect. Wont dread very hot days now !
Updating in the middle of the heatwave – well pleased, it is keeping me very cool, much better than a fan. A nice stream of cool air.
This is a great fan we used it during the summer with the ice blocks and it worked brilliantly its also great as just a fan it is a bit noisy but we’re used to it now and it doesn’t bother us at all.
Plenty of airflow, used to cool a bedroom, plenty of ice packs to fit in the water circuit bringing the temperature of the breeze much further down large water capacity means it keeps chilling long into the hot, sticky night.smaller size ones available would need topping up during the night.
Screw on wheels a good feature downstairs/in the office but I’ve left them off as ours sits securely on top of a waist high cupboard,it’s air dropping over the bed but not blowing intrusively.just right.
Excellent value for money, far better than a fan, you can have different speeds, ice packs included if the weather is really hot, would recommend this for the best way to stay cool. Also has a filter so the air coming out is dust free!
The item was just as advertised and was delivered on time. It’s early days but I’m happy so far with it in cooling the house. Very happy with it. I haven’t used the remote control yet as there were no batteries provided
So far so good, definitely made a huge difference
Unfortunately am not happy with the seller because I paid for 2 unit and only received 1 unit, so please kindly refund my money immediately or I’ll report you to the relevant authority
Works very well blocks there come with need to be frozen my only criticism is it is hard to empty the water as the drawer does not remove from the back you need to take the whole unit to empty
Great air cooler in the current heat wave we’re having in the uk. I would suggest buying more ice packs when it’s super hot as you’ll need to keep swapping them out.
Good small air cooler for the money, not too noisy can sleep OK with it on low.
Works well ass you can see the dog has hogged it as I write this it’s 29c outside that’s the reason. Pics dark to stop more heat
I definitely don’t like the empty plung and the fact the water level is at front and you fill at back
Remember to put rubber plung in which is in remote package
Other wise a decent bit of kit for price
Remember it’s a cooler.
Purchased for my mother and had it delivered directly to her which saved me a 250 mile round trip if I had to take it to her!
She is over the moon with it especially as she is self isolating and not able to go out.
It is v lound my big fan puts as much cold air ou
Also it is quite Moises unless you leav it on the low setting . Any more than that you either can’t hear the tv or it keeps you awake at night.
Doesn’t cool room down but much better than a basic fan I have on next to me blows lovely cold ai
great little unit, purchased for my gaming room as running pc ,xbox and 2 monitors and lights it tends to get very hot…this unit cooled the room down and kept it cool…adding the ice pack def helps …perfect 5 stars
Strongly recommended this product. It does cool the air and makes a difference to the room. Turn on the cool button and max fan speed. Add cold water, the colder the water the better. It sucks room warm air and dries out the water filter. This is how it works. A fraction of the electricity used compared with the air conditioner.
Very good machine, however, not suitable for a large meeting room
This works well but needs to be running for a while to cool the room. Putting ice blocks in does help cool the room and the fan works well.
A nice little unit which really helped my puppy not to overheat in the recent very hot weather.
Works a treat if you are sitting in front of it. Got this for my little girl. Much better than a fan but you have to be sitting within a few feet of it.
Useful in very hot weather, easy to move around and fairly quiet.
Not a bad machine, fairly quiet and seems to give out a reasonably good level of cool air. the only problem is seeing how much water is in the tank – not easy!
Plus Does emit cool air, easy to empty and light weight, negative bit noisy, cooler packs fiddly to use
Great value. Struggled during the 29+ Celsius weather of late, but for its size and price, it’s perfect. The cooling is good, just wish it had a bit more ‘reach’, adding water only makes it better, then the ice packs add another level of coolness. Highly recommended.
Aircon units can be insanely expensive, this was so highly rated yet so cheap I thought that it was worth the risk. I wasn’t disappointed. With the water tank filled it is genuinely cooling and noticeably better than a fan. Add ice or use the cooler block and it’s better still.
Tbh it’s not good for other than a small room, or better still just for a couple of people directly in the breeze. We didn’t notice much effect having left it in a closed room for half an hour. It is light and mobile, though a little consideration in the design to allow it to be moved with water in it would have been good. All in all well worth the money.
Good machine but to drain it is very difficult so I haven’t been able to,to turn the bung is too difficult. Very noisy at night I had to turn it off.
Impressed with this product. It’s very cooling when directly on you but not great for cooling a whole room. The oscillating function is also not great but much better than a traditional fan and overall I’d say value for money at under 100.
Good little fan compact and light, it is an excellent little cooler, to cool the hot air in my flat and helps me sleep. Only downside the power cord could be at bit longer and it is a pain to empty the water tanks.
I used Portable Air Cooler to help cool my living room area down, whilst not drying out the air (I am a chronic asthmatic and suffer immensely during the summer months, because of the combination of heat and dry air). This cooler has been a great aid for me, with cooler fresh air feeling and the moisture it puts back into the air preventing me from getting a dry mouth or a tightness in my chest. The added luxury of the remote control is what makes it the perfect addition to my home. There is however 1 minor issue with the cooler, on the back of the water tank on my cooler there is no minimum or maximum marks to let me know where to pour the water up to. I had to make my own marks to prevent me from overfilling the water tank when it needed topping up. Apart from that I would and have already recommended it to my family and friends.
I was impressed by this product. Adding water even without the icepacks was giving out cooler air. Do note that it will slightly increase humidity in your room so if your room is particularly moist and prone to damp, you may need to get a separate dehumidifier to take away the moisture from the air.
Easy to use, we already had more ice bricks but if you don’t I suggest getting another 2 so you can swap them out when needed.
Have yet to have to clean the tank or the filter but have had a look and it seems easy enough to do.
Overall happy so far and worth it especially if in a sale.
I live in a bedroom flat and it cools the room down well. It blows cold air and doesn’t blow ‘recycled’ warm air like a normal fan tends to do. I am pleased with this product and I highly recommend it if you need a room to be cooler. It’s great in the bedroom during the night.
Arrived as described and extremely well packaged. I’ve bought this for my parents apartment in their care home that gets extremely hot in the warm weather. The unit appears to work well and defiantly lowers the room temperature. Pleased so far.
Worth the money spent.
Creates a nice breeze even without the cool option enabled the cooling option. Some people have said it is a bit loud, which yeah it does get a bit loud when the fan speed is turned up and the cooling option is enabled – which just seems obvious and expected to me.
There are different modes for the fan also which has a good option for on a night ( bursts of air is the best way to describe it)
I think this would help to cool down a room for sure.
Will test on a hotter day and update if needed
Good Machine and works well and would recommend. The transit was very poor, no tracking and parcel delivered 2 days late!
Strangely, it doesn’t turn off when you press ‘power-off’. I have to turn it of by the mains.
