Too early to say as I’ve just bought it and we are still in spring time so I’ll be reviewing once we’re in (hot) summer.

I already had another Netta product which has been great. this one didn’t disappoint either. really does deliver cold air in good volume. hose fittings etc very nice quality.
Ours had 2 damaged wheels on delivery, one quick e-mail and photo, replacement wheels arrived next day.( I suggested just to send wheels )
I have to say customer service was excellent. still 100% confident to buy yet again.
    would recommend without any doubt.
Sensible size and not excessively heavy for what it delivers.

I have it on in the front room as I type this review. My husband has made a special frame for the hose so that we can put it out of the window – the noise however is quite loud and I have had to turn the volume up on my TV. My brother has the exact same model and says his is quiet, so when he visits I am going to check, we may have a faulty one. Otherwise, I am keeping very cool in this unusually hot weather. By the way, keep all the doors closed so the room reaches the temp.

This product is some what loud but I can sleep with the humming noise and it’s also very powerful. It gets cold fast! Bare toes go numb with the cold

Update: It was broken when arrived, so contacted the seller and they sent a delivery guy to retrieve it and fix it for free. When It came back after about a week. it was broken again but the plastic that was broken had been fixed (I think the delivery service was not careful with it). Sent it back AGAIN free of charge and they fixed it again. When it arrived, it was doubled wrapped in bubble wrap and no damage to the unit. The seller was very helpful and responsive.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFirst off this is an actual air conditioner, not a fan or dehumidifier. For the price that makes for very good value for money. And it seems well built with nice controls panel on top. But it is big, very noisy and VERY heavy. 23kg is massively heavy for a portable unit. It is on wheels but I found it very difficult to lift. Also, the hose is really, really short. Perhaps designed for European windows but it can barely reach the open window. So now I need to buy another hose. And the plug cable is also too short. So it is good, but some practical faults that stop it being great.

For this type of unit it is very good. Noise level is what you should expect from this size unit. Controls very clear but do not trust the description on Amazon or in the instruction leaflet!. I have contacted the supplier several times about the speeds description there are only two, not three. Also I had to “twist their arms” to find out what sleep mode control did. Not mentioned at all in the instructions. Very enlightening and a useful feature when explained!
Overall a good product, somewhat spoilt by the Chenglish instructions and lack of detail.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersUpon looking at other reviews I was skeptical about this but since buying this myself and using it for over a month it was well worth the money, when you first turn it on it is a little loud but after 10 minutes your used to it and hardly notice it, it cools down a room very quickly to 16c and is amazing during the hot weather, the only issue I found was the pipe to be abit to wide and too short, preferably like a thinner pipe but witg more length, warning for anyone who needs to pic it up it is quite heavy for its size, If you need to cool down anywhere in your household amd you have the money, BUY this, best purchase iv made this yea

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI read the reviews before buying this and they were pretty honest. Positives are it works my bedroom has always been hot and being of an age where I suffer with flushes at night it has not been easy. Used the A/C for the first time last night and wow did I sleep. Negative is yes its a little noisy but not enough to disturb my sleep. Digital panel on top is bright but will find a work around for that.

The A/C came with the hose and window adaptor, if you have sliding windows, don’t do what I did and bought more. If you are looking for a reasonably priced A/C this is brilliant.

I have attached a video so you can see for yourself the blue light and hear the A/C on. Happy Chilling!

This unit, although fairly high in initial layout of cash, is no more expensive than a Dyson fan. But! That’s where any comparison ends. This is an effective unit, that’s kept us cool all summer long. Its well worth the outlay… and infinitely better than those cooling units you have to add ice and water to… the exhaust fan is a little unsightly… but ya can’t have everything. Buy it. You won’t regret it… noise is tolerable.

Ok so it is typical that once I had bought this item the weather changed and we haven’t really needed it since. We have used it a couple of times and i love how fast it cools a room. My house was bearable. To tell the truth, I actually bought this for my English Bulldog who can’t handle the heat. He loves it so I love it. the only downfall is the hose which isn’t long enough if you have high windows like us, and the part the hose is supposed to attach to in the window didn’t work for us as we don’t have sliding windows, it just wouldn’t fit. So even though we love the item, we do have issues with the hose.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bough one of these earlier this year 2021. For the price it does a good job of genuine “conditioning” (it both cools and dehumidifies). It’s important to appreciate that with all of these types of unit, by virtue of their price and the compact portable size, both the cooling and hot air extraction are within the same unit, compared to much more expensive domestic and commercial installations where the cooling fan is inside and the refrigeration/hot air extraction is outside. This gives two issues, firstly the fan noise may be intrusive for some, and secondly ambient air is sucked in from outside the room, so this limits the temperature differential to a few degrees below the ambient temperature, no matter how low you set the temperature on the unit and how long you let it run. Having said that the combination of the cooler, dryer air and fan circulation do make a big difference to the comfort levels, and to get around the noise issue I simply leave the unit on for an hour or two before I go to bed then switch off.

We ordered our unit over a month ago and this was the first time we’ve had to use it. Believe me when I say it was worth every penny!
The unit isn’t as quiet as I hoped but I’d take a bit of noise and being cool over being hot during the night any day.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersJust buy it, yeah it’s noisy but it’s an air conditioning unit so what do you expect? My bedroom is at the top of the house and turns into a literal sauna in the summer to the point where I physically cannot sleep in there, and THIS little beauty made me actually pull the covers over me slightly. What was once a sauna, is now a chilled bedroom that I can breathe in. 5 stars all round except noise but just put ear plugs in if it’s that bad for you, I sleep through it all nice and cool.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAfter reading Rich.I’s review I bought this. It’s definitely worth buying, yes he’s right, the plastic casing isn’t that great but who’s bothered! It work brilliantly and a very good price. My lounge/diner is 15′ x 25′ and it cools it down perfectly even with the door open to the hall and stairs. The window adaptation is only suitable for sliding windows, up or sideways, but as I have an outlet in my wall I didn’t need it anyway: the hose was too wide for the wall outlet but it was easy to bend the end smaller so it fitted snuggly. I’m so glad I took a chance on this and am impressed that it also has a year’s warranty. I highly recommend to anyone.

It is compact, quiet and efficient. Good value for the price I paid. It is very heavy so although it moves well on its castors it would be difficult to keep moving it upstairs and down. The way the end of the extractor hose is built is only suitable for sash windows so with casement opening windows you need lots of towels to make a seal.

    Hello.

This has just arrived today and it’s fairly simple to use and effectively cools down my room. It’s brought the temperature down from about 35 degrees to a solid 23 degrees, so clearly works. The seal system however is not universal, so I’ll need to buy another system that works for my windows from Amazon which is very annoying, but I cannot complain as this air con is cheap. Definitely worth i

Golden Review Award: 37 From Our UsersThe unit arrived well packaged and once unwrapped, it was slightly slimmer than I was expecting. Controls are simple (the ones on the unit itself – I don’t need the remote). I was pleased with the overall quality and the fairly modern styling. Then I tried to connect the vent hose to the machine and the window plate and discovered that the hose is too stiff, too short and the window plate is designed for a style of window that most houses in the UK don’t have! The decision to include this style of vent hose/plate is the work of a maniac.

The air conditioner itself is about as loud as a decent vertical fan, but well worth putting up with for the cooling that comes with the noise. It took my 22′ x 12′ room from 29 degrees to 22 degrees in 30 minutes, despite the window not being fully sealed for the reasons detailed above.

I’m pleased with the air conditioner, but the vent hose is the single most irritating thing I’ve ever come into contact with (and I’ve met Russell Brand!)

Anyone complaining about noise really need to rethink what they are buying…. Portable units are noisy fullstop… Your paying a cheaper price for comfort…. No matter what portable unit you buy, it will be noisy.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersOverall, very pleased with this unit. The window fitting supplied would work fine for sliding windows (up and down or side to side), but not with windows that open out. My wife did not like the idea of any of the fittings that can be purchased for about 20 to enable the unit to be vented from our type of window, as it seems they have to be stuck on. We solved the problem by using the supplied window venting kit and purchasing a 2 mm thick perspex sheet to fill in the rest of the window. A bit of ingenuity is needed to fix both items together, but it’s not difficult. Now the unit can be in place and working in under 5 minutes, and taken down just as easily.
We use the unit for a few hours in the afternoon to cool our bedroom, which it does well, and for a few hours in the evening to cool our bedroom and dressing room. This still works, but the larger space means that the temperature reached is slightly higher, still ok to sleep in though. The downside of the unit is that it is quite noisy. The sleep mode is about the same noise level as the low power level (at least I am unable to tell the difference between the two). I am able to sleep with the unit on, but my wife is not, hence the turning off at night.
We have not used the dehumidifier setting yet, or the fan setting. So far we have not had to drain the unit, so I am not able to comment on how easy that is to do, but looks quite simple from the instruction booklet. It’s probably a good idea to consider where the unit will be stored when not in use, as it probably will not be needed all year round.
Pleased I purchased this, it may not be perfect in every way, but for the price it does the job and keeps me cool enough in the hottest weather.

Would be a five star if the second one came first. Original machine we recieved didn’t work. Control touch panel kept randomly turning it self on and off and changing settings. Replacement unit works like a champ! Effectively cools our 750 sq Ft 2 floor 2 bed flat. It is a bit noisy, but we only run it during the heat of the day. Would be nice if it came with a drain hose sized for the drain plugs and/or for the condensation tray to be removable like proper a dehumidifier.

Certainly makes a difference in our flat, the room is quite big as it’s the kitchen / sitting room, but there is a noticeable difference. Whilst you don’t walk into a cool room like a hotel room, it is much more comfortable. Only downside is it would be great if the unit oscillates up and down and side to side but it is a fixed position.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI read a lot of reviews before buying this and they are all varied, including this one. This made choosing a bit of a lottery. It’s an aircon unit, it’s gonna be noisy. No matter how much you spend you will get that, perhaps a little less but not much.

This is in my view a really good little unit. I say little as its much more compact, and better looking than some.

The fixing that come with it to take the hose out of the window is really good, and are not included with some machines.

I cannot comment on durability as we haven’t had that long, but so far so good. All I can say is it has been 30 degrees today, and still 20 degrees as I write at 11pm. I am laid in my bed feeling very comfortable than you very much, while most others are sweltering. Don’t be fooled in to getting a cheaper air cooling unit, they are not air conditioning units, and nowhere near as good.

I recommend this unit, especially tonight!!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe box came looking like it’s been bashed left and right at the back of a Hermes Van (who delivered it).
Unboxed it and connected the exhaust tube to the back and the other end out the window.

It works absolutely amazing. My room is by far the hottest and I have 4 pc monitors and 2 PC towers for work and it does heat up the room tremendously.

It took about maybe an hour to cool the room down and after 3 hours i am comfortable and ready for my first night sleep in COMFORT.

Room was at 33 degrees and its currently below 24 which is perfect for me.

I see a lot of comments saying its too loud but I dont find it loud at all.
55decibels when i moved the mic close to the unit.

If you can sleep with a normal circular fan, you can sleep with this.

People mentioned the lighting is bothersome in the dark… i just put a small black cloth ontop of it.

    It does the job.

My room is 144 sq ft and has a pretty high ceiling.

Golden Review Award: 501 From Our UsersI live in a first-floor flat that can reach +38 degrees in the summer. Unbearable!! This unit will make a world of difference! AND I will give you a breakdown of my findings, tips and things to know when considering an AC/This item. Including my honest opinion.

Let’s clear up a couple of things. This is a ‘cheap’ unit in comparison to the big brands. The cost saving is on the aesthetics, NOT the functionality/performance. You are going to see some cheaper feeling plastics and a basic user interface(s) like manual flaps to alter the direction of flow (see pictures) and remote. The swankiest part is the touch buttons on the top. Don’t let this put you off, this unit is not a well-known brand and as I did, question if it works/worth the money. It’s a lot of money to put on a whim and prayer. You can rest easy!!! It works well for the price and will vent out hot air (hose/window kit comes with it) and push cold air into your room. If you use on dehumidifier setting, it will take the humidity out (the bit that makes you feel the most like an unbearably sweaty, puddle of a person) and punch refreshing and tantalizing cool air into your life. You will have to empty the internal collection tank more often but, the choice is there and a recommended one. You can also just run it on Fan mode or AC setting your desired temp. When the unit reaches the desired temp, the fan will still keep running and turn off the chiller functionality. If the temp rises, it will turn the chiller back on. It has timers, 2 levels of speed, dehumidifier, Fan Only, up/down buttons, and a warning light that will illuminate red, shutting off the unit, when the internal collection tray is full. There are 2 drain plugs to empty it. One at the bottom to empty into a tray or bucket and one at the top to have connected to a constant drain into a vessel or outlet for constant drainage if you use the dehumidifier more regularly for example. Very little water is stored in the tray if you only use AC and can be drained once a week or so.

ITS NOICY. A small price to pay to actually be cool. You will notice it more than a standing fan that pushes hot air around the room but, less than you might think. I can still hear the TV, someone talking across the room over the noise of the unit it’s just a small trade-off for cold air, the lesser of evils if you will? night time, it depends on how you sleep. If you prefer perfect silence, it will probably bother you but, again.. it can be toned out. Better than restless sleep due to being uncomfortably hot.

Make sure to do your homework. Getting bigger does not equal colder. If you get too big of a BTU for your space, it will warm up the room. On the other hand too small for your space, it won’t work as efficiently. It still may cool your room down, it will just take longer and cost you more to run overall.

It works like your fridge It boils a liquid with a low boiling point which creates a gas. This gas cools the air. The heat created from boiling the liquid into a gas is cooled through an internal radiator (like in your car, see picture). This heat is vented through the provided pipe out the window and all you should be left with cold air coming out of the machine. So yes, it will need to be placed near a window to be vented. Window kit also provided to put into window opening with optional slidable block you can attach nozzle in that will block the opening of the window.

Work out your rooms Square Foot to see if this will be adequate for your space. Measure your longest wall in meters and then times this by your shortest. My room is 6m x 3M. 6 x 3 = 18 square foot. Perfect! Usually measured by BTU, different brands will tell you some different figures for what their unit is capable of and usually will be down to the energy ratings/efficiency of the unit (my opinion). Generally speaking, get as close to the size of BTU you need, when considering the unit for you.

Its not an easy decision to make buying an air conditioner but, let me put your mind at rest, your money here is well invested. It makes a BIG difference. The second that scorching heat hits, you will have friends you didn’t know you had, wishing they were there with you. You will be ice cold wondering what all the fuss is about.

When I bought mine, I immediately felt bad “have I really just spent that amount of money? I hope I haven’t made a big mistake?”. Within seconds of turning it on, I wish I had bought it sooner. It actually works and I now hate conventional heat wafters (fans) that have little to no effect on a hot day that as soon as you are out of their airflow, you immediately want to die of heatstroke and feel worse off. Seriously, being stuck in high humidity heat with little to no way of changing this can be very uncomfortable. You feel like you are being tortured alive if you like? Having an AC is the answer. Plus helps when you have kids who are happy and cool and not driving you up the wall over something you can’t change lol

It will cost you approximately 20 – 40p an hour to run. Something to be mindful of but, I usually turn mine on with the doors and windows shut and in the hour, slaving over the hot oven in the kitchen, am greeted to a wall of cold air as much as 10 degrees cooler than the rest of the house. I turn it off as soon as I have the desired temp and provided doors are kept closed, will only run it in short bursts to keep it there. It is efficient enough that it is not running 24/7. It removed the heat from the room not pushing it to the other corner and feeling instantly hotter when you turn it off. With this in mind, I have not noticed a massive spike in energy consumption etc.

Sorry it’s a long one. Well done and thank you for reading this far. Honest opinion, get one. You will feel the difference. And ultimately, if it is not quite right for you and (or), you need something different, it is reasonably priced enough that you will have not destroyed your back pocket to try one for the first time and, more to the point, if it’s still the summer season, there will always be someone who is like I was for the last 6 years, regretting not getting one before the hot weather arrived with sellers inflating their prices, pricing out people who cannot now get their hands on a reasonably priced unit due to being sold out etc or, only expensive limited options available. These are the people that will take your whole arm off to get it off you and pay the price to feel cool in a state of pure sadness and exhaustion from the heat. Very British lol

I hope that this will have given you a little bit more to help you make an informed choice? In an ideal world, these would be more affordable and generally our UK weather is not consistently hot so, can seem a bit of a luxury to have one for those odd days/weeks in the year. I would still get one. On average days like we have been having around low 20’s where it is ridiculously humid, 20 minutes here and there to take that edge off! Remove the stickiness and to be able to cook in the house worth every penny!

Hopefully, happy spending Join the cool side.. We have cookies because we can bake them in the summer lol haha

    Cheers, 🙂

    STOP LOOKING! YOU FOUND IT!!!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThis air conditioner was definitely a good buy! The machine itself is neat in appearance, does not dominate the room and operates as expected. The controls are easy to understand and use basically however I have not yet used the sleep or timer mode . The noise is quite apparent but is as expected. I do not think there is a quiet, portable machine out there, certainly not for this price, so is acceptable and the cooling effect is worth it. On arrival, the plastic bracket which connects the large hose to the machine was usable but cracked so I contacted the company. The communication was very good and a replacement was sent out quickly. Having only had this machine a short time and successfully kept cool during the recent hot weather, I am happy to recommend this machine and the company who supplied it.

It’s is a little bit loud but not rattly, and I can hear my toddler calling me from his room even though he’s over the landing and I have this thing on ‘high wind’. It’s brilliant and cools my big bedroom down quickly. The noise wouldn’t stop me sleeping, it’s no louder than a normal fan on full.
Because it’s quite petite it’ll store away nicely in winter too. My husband rolled his eyes at me when I insisted we need ac but he’s changed his mind and decided it was a good buy.

Item arrived early but it was damaged. However customer service of seller was amazing.
they response fast and arranged free collection+replacement within a week 🙂
I have tested the product and yes it is little noisy, but like other review saying, it is expected for mobile ac unit.

I have yet to test the full potential of this when the actual summer weather hits, so far, very happy with the product.
    -Edit-
It sure cool down the room! leave it on for hour or two and room temperature drops 2-3C :>

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe size of the unit is quite compact and chic looking, it also has a nice well lit touch display on top, which you can read effortlessly even in the dark. It battled away on the hottest day of the year and only managed to get the room to about 26c, but was still a god send compared to relying on a fan. The only downside is it’s a bit on the noisy side, but we sleep easily through the noise and so does our 2 month old. All in all a bargai

Very good value, sleep mode a bit noisy but overall satisfied with it. One problem is the window venting assembly which is not universal, I had to make my own. Customer service very good.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersMy first floor flat has the sun on from about 1.30pm onwards during the summer and gets so warm I have to shut the curtains, It’s warm in this flat all year long and I couldn’t stand another year in this heat so I saved and bought this! There’s a few different functions on this eg; a timer, a dehumidifier, fan with 2 settings and the air conditioner has 2 settings, I haven’t tried them all yet. The fan on this is really great and not too noisy but the air conditioning is noisy, but I’d rather take the noise than the heat. The air conditioner goes down to below 16 C (my flat is normally over 23 C) so it has dramatically improved the temperature of my place and my life!!!

Nearly a year old. Been in storage for winter. Took it out, plugged it in and a reminder of how good this product is. Build quality is very good. There is not a single issue with this. 1 year on highly recommend this.

Delivery was very fast. Product was properly packed.

The product, wow. I bought this the weekend of the heat wave. It took 10 15 mins to set up. The product is superb. Our room is bigger then recommended but this is so good it cools the whole room. Power wise very efficient. I would highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBought this just before a the +30oC temperatures that we’re so ill equipped to deal with here in the UK- Worked a great. Very powerful considering the size and price. Not overly noisy either.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI was after a cheap and cheerful air conditioning unit. It just works, cooled the room down nicely and the included window kit worked a treat.

It is noisy, but all these units are and for the price you can’t grumble.

I can easily sleep through it though and it makes sleep easy when the room is the right temperature. The fan is powerful and can be used on fan only. Easy to operate and seems well made for the price.

Golden Review Award: 29 From Our UsersI’ve only had this for a few days, but so far so good! It can be a little loud, but most air conditioners will be noisy. It was easy to set up, but having windows that open out, the window fittings that come with it don’t suit, so I’ve had to purchase a separate item, costing another 20 or so. If you have sash windows that open upwards, you’ll be set as soon as it arrives, but if your windows open outwards, I’d suggest getting a universal window fitting to arrive at the same time.

Be aware that if this is for use in the bedroom the LED lights on the top display do not turn off and give off a fairly bright blue light. I’m sensitive to light, so I’ve had to cover the top at night. It’s a small annoyance but not a make it or break it, as this unit is less expensive than others on the market.

All in all, I’m glad we purchased this unit as the bedroom is the warmest room in the house and in summer it can be so unbearable my husband and I have taken to sleeping downstairs where it’s cooler. This unit has allowed us to keep our large bedroom the perfect temperature for sleeping on the hottest nights.

This wasn’t the most expensive unit on the market, so I knew we wouldn’t be getting some of the fancier technology, but it’s good value for the money!

Golden Review Award: 82 From Our UsersI bought this for my mums bedroom. She has COPD and had to go into hospital last year during the heatwave, so I bought this after checking places like Screwfix etc. Its been running since Thursday night and really has used it in made a difference. She had a couple of pedestal fans running and the noise is about the same, I don’t think its really noisy. The bedroom has Velux windows so the window kit isn’t ideal, but I used it in the gap at the bottom, closed the window onto it, and blocked the gaps in the top and the sides. I’m going to get a drainage hose because when you run the dehumidifier I’ve had to drain it twice a day the way the weather is at the moment. I would say the nightime function does not really work, dosen’t seem to be any quieter. However as its not any louder than the fans it dosen’t seem to matter. I would recommend it, it hasn’t turned the room into a fridge but its nice and cool and mum is very comfortable. Its been three days or so so I’ll update the review in a couple of weeks if anything changes.
—–Still working well, I bought a standard washing machine drainage hose to put on it, fits perfectly and I would recommend it when the dehumidifier is running. It’s surprising how much moisture it draws from the air.

Golden Review Award: 30 From Our UsersThe machine in itself is pretty good . Does the job and it is the cheapest so would definitely recommend it but …. it didn’t come with a drainage hose for the water and it said it does come with that . Would love it if you guys would send me the hose though…. I have given it 4 stars only for this mistake .
