Exactly what I needed… now
Great light and with the addition of a 0.35 component, I can manually turn it on and off, rather than just have it react to the PIR sensor. I’m a little surprised that that’s not how it was wired to begin with.

This light does have the ability to alter the light sensitivity so only activates when it’s dusk / dark rather then all the rime. Will see how long the led bit last for but otherwise its a nice looking light.
Got this light when on offer at Amazon for 42 earlier this week. It will match the 3 Arbour (non PIR) lights I purchased last week.
All 4 lights were to replace old rusting wall lights around the house.
Installation was easy. Each installation took no more than 30 mins from starting to remove the old lights to the new Arbour light being ready to use. To be honest it was probably only 1 hours work to install the first 3 and 25mins for this PIR light as it was in a slightly more difficult place.
First drill 4 pilot holes in the plastic wall plate and then use these pilot holes to mark the position of the holes you need to drill in the brickwork. I also used a small spirit level to ensure these markers would allow the light to be istalled upright!
The Anthracite is virtually black and with our black woodwork it does not look out of place.
Don’t be put off by the lightweight feel of these lights. They look really good and are quite discrete too.
Originally we bought cheaper lights at DunElm – as the saying goes ‘what a mistaker to make’! – they were a nightmare to put up and once up two didnt work, so they were all returned for a refund.
These Philips light look great and if you can get the non PIR for the low 30s and the PIR for the low 40s I can thoroughly recommend them.

I hope a durable outside light,
A bright LED with thousands of hour of life l read. The motion sensor is easily adjust to suit time etc, l used tape to restrict its range, to just our front door area. All very sound to install.

Does the job well. A little more room behind it for the wires would of been nice but now it’s in daily use it’s great.
Warm ligh
I added stick on numbers to make my house more easily identified at night.
The light was easy to fit, but I had to adapt the wire entry point so that it would sit flush to the wall.
The sensor is a bit too sensitive, but the light is warm and not too bright.
Really effective and great sensor/time
This is installed by the front door and quietly lights up when motion is detected by individuals on the pavement nearby. This was set to around 5 seconds after turning on and I must say the light is very pleasant and warm-cool meaning it won’t annoying the neighbours or look like the light in a dentists office. Additionally the glow is very contained at night, diffuses well a short distance (2-4 meters adequately lit) which should not be noticeable to other households with curtains drawn. There also isn’t a noticible clicking noise that you get with some motion sensor lights that can be annoying.
In all, I would thoroughly recommend this as a great silent front door or back door light. If needed for a larger areas, such as a single front of house parking space, it can work, but a double parking space you’d probably want a light that spreads out a little further.

Although plastic this is very robust and good quality. It is probably quite expensive for what it is but looks good. It gives off a nice light and PIR seems to pick up at quite a distance so am delighted.
Mega fantastic lights from Philips!
I am so impressed with those Philips outdoor lights! They not only look trendy but as well will provide very good quality light so you can see everything outside. Fantastic price and worth every penny! I am upset a little I didn’t buy hue version but hey I have saved 60 on light by not doing this 😉 got my electrician to install them, it took 5 hours to do 10 lights.
A great looking light!
A beautiful contemporary looking light from a reliable manufacturer. The light is super easy to install (I’m no electrician). The light output is bright but not overwhelming; it’s a warm and welcoming glow. The sensor is sensitive and captures movement well (easy to adjust and tweak). Price vs. Value is questionable; it’s a pretty basic light however it looks great so no complaints.

Fairly easy to install if it’s a new installation. All plastic construction, it looks good but feels cheap when handling. It’s still working after a month, let’s see how long it lasts for.

Great soft security ligh
Creates a lovely soft light for my patio area, plenty strong enough to light up the area of an evening.
Good quality construction easy to install
Bought for the front porch.This looks modern and is very easy to install. The sensor is very accurate and can easily be adjusted. I will by more from this range for the garden, they are good quality and worth the money….plus no hassle with BULBS!
Looks great and easy to fit. The bulb is unfortunately non-replacable though which is a shame but as it’s high quality LEDs they should last many years. My only issue is there is no way to adjust range sensitivity. I’ve had to stick some black tape over the top half of the PIR just so it doesn’t light up when a cat runs across the road 3 miles away (that may be an exaggeration). Unless you are placing it facing a wall or an big area that will only get movement when someone is coming to the door it’s lighting up, it’ll be too much.

Great Product - Trouble with Amazo
I ended up purchasing this product from another shop as Amazon failed to deliver. They were great at refunding me and rectifying the situation though. Due to time constraints having booked the electrician had to get the item immediately which cost slightly more than Amazon.
The lights look great and are significantly brighter than we had anticipated. We were advised they were quick and easy to install. they seem very sturdy and Philips quality reassures us. I would highly recommend to anyone. Also they will save a fortune on electric bills being LED and very environmentally friendly which is a major plus.

wall light with motion senso
Had this wall light for 2 months now and all is well. Well made, modern, good sensor (though it took a few goes at the settings screw). I did spray the back of the panel with spray grease as I live near to the coast and metal tends to rust/corrode with the sea air. Had the lantern type before but had to replace 2 because of corrosion, hoping that this one does the trick. My path is 5 metres long but feel that the sensor would pick up further. Overall I’m very pleased with the product.

Bought 3 other (cheaper – false economy strikes again) motion sensitive lights that were flimsy and broke. This one is solid and coping with everything a Scottish winter has thrown at it.
Nice looking unit with a soft, warm light. Bought two to replace existing lights by my front and back doors. I had an electrician in to fit them and each took him 15-20 mins. A small torx allen key is provided for the outer case of the unit but there are no fixings in the box – so you’ll need 4 suitable screws and plugs for the surface where it’s fitted.
You can control the time the light stays on for and the level of darkness at which it starts/stops working – these controls are under a little sliding cover on the top half of the pir sensor.
Only gripe is the pir sensor is very sensitive and the range is huge so the front light is being triggered by both cars and pedestrians on the street even though my front door must be at least 5 metres from the pavement at its closest point. Even then, cars set it off at the edge of the sensor range (eg at 2 o’clock if you imagine the light is at the centre of a clock) and the cars are at least 7-8 metres from the door at that angle. A bit excessive really considering many would want to use this as a front outside light. I’ve had to mask off the parts of the sensor with black electrical tape to reduce the range.
Quite pleased with it though. It looks much better than a security flood light and provides enough light for what we need (bright enough to feel safe and find your keys). The light it produces is definitely brighter than it looks on the photos.

Outdoor security light.
Nice looking and good brightness. Easy to install, took no time at all. The only problem is that it triggers during the day if there is any movement. Unnecessary energy usage, other than that it would have got a five star. I don’t regret buying it though. Got a great deal from the Amazon warehouse. Would recommend.
