This cable saved my butt. Did a large basement remodel, but used regular cables through the finished ceiling. I had so much going on with the remodel I didn’t think about it. But needed a high speed cable, but because the ceiling was finished I now needed to run a 75’or longer cable to get the job done. Wanted full Dolby Vision quality. Got this cable and it’s flawless! Tried it run on the ground for a week to test before running it around the unfinished side. It’s been several years now and it’s still working flawlessly. Running 4K at 120hz Dolby
    Vision.

Hoped in purchasing this HDMI I wouldn’t have any issues with 4K@120 – purchased the 6 metre cable (I have had other 3m+ cables fail) all seemed good though after testing over the past 3 days the signal does consistently drop, usually when switching between games – with differing refresh rates. Unsure if it’s just the cable I got.
*edit – the seller has been pretty great about rectifying the aforementioned issues – they have offered to send a replacement which should address the signal drops.

Works just as described, RTX 3080 connected to a LG C1 getting 4k @120FPs 10 bit RGB with HDR.

Was surprised at the picture quality versus my old HDMI 2.0b cable I was using with my RTX 2070.

As soon as I connected it up the quality improvment was immediately notiable.

    Highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI used this cable to connect my PC with an RTX4070ti to my 4k 120hz TV in another room. While this may not be the cheapest cable, I’d tried 2 cheaper ones previously and experienced drops in signal with both of those cheaper ones. No such dropouts with this cable.

I have been looking for a Ruipro 8K HDMI fiber optic 50 feet cable for a while. Since a lot of youtubers gave it a good rating. Will Black Friday come around and I saw it on sale for about $80 instead of $109. So I said why not, I’m so glad I bought it for $80. It fixed my problems that I used to have with my old cheapo HDMI fiber optic cable. With my old cheapo HDMI cable it would take a while to switch from standard TV show 1080p to HDR10 4K movies. Some time it will just drop off the signal and I have to reboot my Nvidia shield. This is my setup from the Nvidia Shield to Marantz AV7706 processor from Marantz AV7706 processor to BenQ TK850 projector. I know it is a cable problem because some time I turn on the lights my BenQ TK850 will drop the signal. If you have similar problems like me where the video drops off or takes too long to switch from 1080p to HDR10 get this cable it will fix your problems.

I am leaving the original portion of the review intact to help anyone with the issue I encountered. Upon leaving my review RUIPRO reached out to me and informed me my cable has a 5 year warranty and immediately shipped a new cable. Two days later I received the cable and everything is working perfectly. Thank you for the great warranty and customer service! I will definitely recommend your cables and purchase any I need from here again.

THE BELOW ISSUE WAS RESOLVED WITH A REPLACEMENT CABLE.
I bought this cable in March of last year. I was able to use it with a 4k 60 HZ display. I now have upgraded my display to a 4k @ 120 Hz panel and my PC will not allow my to do more than 4k 60 Hz. Unfortunately at the time I was not able to test the full 48 Gbps connection and not I have an expensive cable that does not provide the advertised bandwidth.

No termino de entender cmo hay cables HDMI 2.1 a la venta, en teora certificados, que luego no cumplen con los mnimos. Este desde luego lo hace, as que totalmente recomendado.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersTo begin, if you are looking for an HDMI cable for runs of greater than 15-20 feet, don’t want to do HDMI over ethernet, and want a great picture on your HDTV, then look no further than the RUIPRO 8K active hybrid fiber optic HDMI cable. After inadvertently damaging my older 25 foot copper HDMI cables that I thought was giving me a great picture on my 75 inch Samsung Q80TA, I researched new cables and decided on the 10 meter RUIPRO 4K/60 Hz (You read right; the 4K cable). The quality of the materials was first class. (Don’t be swayed by reviewers who think that a thin cable is a cheap poorly made cable!!) When I tried to set up the cable with my DirecTV 4K Genie receiver, I was unable to get support for 1080p and 4K resolutions. I tried the usual suggestions such as unplugging the cables and the TV and restarting everything. That did not solve the issue. I contacted RUIPRO and they sent me another cable. Same results. I contacted DirecTV and Samsung without any help. They seemed totally clueless about these types of cables! No one, not even RUIPRO, suggested that I try a USB power inserter. So I tried the cable with my OPPO BDP-205 UHD disc player and it would not play 4K discs. I made some changes in the OPPO’s video menu with resolutions and that solved the issue there. (I did eventually use a USB power inserter with the 4K cable going from my UHD player to the TV with a visible modest improvement in picture quality to my eyes.) I made the decision to go whole hog and buy the RUIPRO 10 meter 8K active hybrid fiber optic HDMI cable. Same excellent construction although the 8K cable was a little thicker than the 4K version. Same problem with resolutions. But then I used the included USB power inserter and everything changed. Now I had all 4 resolutions with the Genie, including1080p and 4K. And I was looking at the most incredibly clear lifelike picture with never before seen nuances of color and shading, especially with flesh tones. I was smitten. Now it is likely that I probably would have had the same experience with the 4K cable had someone recommended the USB power inserter (or if I had just considered buying it myself). I didn’t care. I was using the 4k/60 Hz cable with my UHD disc player and now my satellite TV video performance had just gone up off the charts. I have not experienced a single video or audio dropout but it has been only about one month since I installed my cables. Now, this is young technology. I have read reviews where the performance seems to become erratic with time or that the cable just stops working altogether. There are active electronics involved and things can fail with time and need to be replaced. But my version of the RUIPRO 8K cable is a Gen 3 so maybe that portends success and reliability with time. But I am a very happy viewer for now and would recommend the RUIPRO brand without question. Their support is very good and attentive although I fail to see how they did not recommend the use of the USB power inserter right at the beginning of my query. Both active hybrid fiber optic HMDI cables and HDMI over ethernet are pricey ( I spent $175 for my two RUIPRO cables on Amazon. I would have spent nearly $500 dollars for two HDMI over internet systems for my needs.). But if it fits your needs, I would recommend that you try the fiber optic cables. Bear in mind that you need a very good source for your video signal. There is only so much that a good TV and an excellent cable can do with a mediocre source. I have had a very good experience with satellite for 23 years. I wish I could have had a long HDMI cable of such excellence back then!!

Bought this to future proof, having a false wall built wanted a decent cable in there. I tested it on my ps4 pro ( I know not a full 4k ) and 4k tv. I did notice the colour pop out more played for a few hours even my daughter who’s not fussy about graphics or colour mentioned colour poped out more.

Would I recommend it depends if you have the money to spend depends on you. It’s not a huge difference only time would tell.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have had a HDMI cable, network cable and USB extension lead stashed away nicely inside some trunking, and run between the floorboards for around 4 years as my PC/office is in a bedroom and I like to game on the couch with my main TV sometimes. This has served me well since first setting it up at a time when “4K” was just taking off.

When upgrading my GPU, and more recently my TV, I realised the cable was no longer up to the task and I was getting a weird stuttering effect when trying to enable HDR in Windows with the resolution at 4k 120hz. I could either have fully blown HDR at 60hz, or 120hz without the HDR which was quite annoying.

I did some research and ended up with this cable. It was what I would consider EXTREMELY expensive (for a cable) but ultimately it solves all the issues I had and there are literally no compromises needed anymore.

RGB 4:4:4 10 bit HDR 4k 120 Hz and the freesync range is 40-120hz. This is basically the best of the best in 2021 over a distance of 10 metres.

TV is an LG CX Oled and GPU is a Sapphire Radeon 6800xt.

See associated picture – not much more you could ask for.

Cable wasn’t cheap but cannot fault the end result.

I’ve now been using this cable for a few weeks and it turns out it’s fine for HD, 4K.

But not for HDR 10. It will not pass HDR 10 signal along its 13m length. So this is turned out to be a complete waste of money. It does nothing more than my old cheap HDMI cable I had in when I had an HD projector. HDR eight seems okay, but if you’re using services like Disney+ they don’t seem to support 4K unless you have 4K HDR 10. So it outputs in HD not 4K when using that service with this HDMI cable. NOTE. This cable is a One Direction cable make sure you install it the right way round if hiding behind walls or trunking. One end is for the sauce the other end is for the screen.

Install it the wrong way round and it will not work at all

I picked these up for burying in the walls behind my wall mounted TV. Needed the 3 metre length to cover that, and it worked out fantastic. I was kinda worried I’d need crazy expensive fibre type active cables but these work just fine.

Better than fine in fact, the stock cable that came with my xbox isnt as colour vibrant as these are. The cable itself is solid, quality feel. Not super flexible given they are thick. And connectors are plated as the picture showed. Nice end caps to keep the connectors clean in transit. Tested on my samsung and Gigabyte M28u as HDR compatible and 120hz enabled no issues

I have tried all streaming methods such as Steam link, Moonlight, NVidia gamestream and all had lag, artefacts or strange connection issues. This was the only way I was able to get my RTX3080 to output to an LG C9 downstairs. The first cable I received was defective and would cut out randomly after a few minutes. I contacted RUIPRO and they shipped a replacement from China 3 days later. Since then it was worked flawlessly. Can finally play games on my couch without macro blocking, minimal latency and high refresh rate.

The only negative is the price, will have to baby this cable as its too expensive to just leave strewn about.

I had a tricky route between amplifier and projector of over 11 metres though conduit.
Little did I know in the first install how critical cable is to full 4K HDR signals!
Not only is mere HD HDMI cable not up to the huge data transmission required, but any sort of extension leads are a no-no because digital copy protection software witchcraft detects the join and actually prevents you watching 4K as they believe you must be trying to breach the copyright – Doh!
One unbroken cable has to be used between devices.
Research led me to this product as had reliable reviews and wasn’t extreme audiophile exotica expensive but neither suspiciously cheap.
The cable being fibre optic means I could ‘pull’ it through the conduit using a pulling string wisely left- in during the build. Note: I used copious globs of cable-pulling lube to aid the process and extra care in taping up the leading end of the new cable to make a nice taper and also ensure pulling forces could not put too much stress on the cable end terminal.
Job done and I have 4K HDR 10bit colour from an Amazon fire cube tv box via an Anthem AVR to Epson 4K pixel shift projector- I’m most happy with end result.
NB: Had this installed for approx 10 months with no issues at all.

I replaced a 10m copper HDMI with this last week. The old HDMI was right on the limit with 4k content – I’d see occasional two-second drop outs, occasional snow (oddly, more commonly with 1080p content), HDCP sync issues, and a total refusal to do 4k50/60 4:4:4. With this cable it’s absolutely rock solid, no issues whatsoever. eARC is also working fine – no issue with Atmos/DD+.

Installation through an existing conduit was fine – the plugs were of similar size to the copper cable’s, and the cable itself is thinner and more flexible.

All in all, if you’ve got HDMI issues and you’re running 8m+ of cable, get this.

I had a high speed copper cable running over 15M previously, I had encountered hand shake problems when transmitting 10-bit colour via Sky Q and convinced myself to spend 200+ on a cable. I’ve not regretted it at all (up to now). I’ve had the cable installed for around 3 weeks, the colour and clarity is a HUGE upgrade from the previous cable and I’ve had no handshake issues at all.

Before I bought this, I tried an optical HDMI from a reputable high street store which failed to transmit 10-bit and would only do 8.

I wrote to the seller asking for the latest version, they were very helpful and shipped the cable immediately. It took around 1 week which was a lot quicker than expected.

Bought the 12m 4K cable. Works very well with my Samsung TV, Onkyo amplifier and source units (Apple TV, Sky Box). Customer service also excellent, I had to exchange a 10m version as was too short. Overall, definitely recommend. Update: I ran this cable under my floor and through my wall. The preinstalled duct is unfortunately not continuous and obstructed in parts. So a bit of careful elbow grease was needed to get the cable through and it worked fine once plugged in. So the cable seems reasonably durable too.

Unfortunately I was not able to connect, although I don’t think it was the cable’s fault.

I managed to get a full 4K HDR picture but for some reason coming back the next day the cable stops working. I suspect that the usb power boost doesn’t work correctly when plugged into the optoma and fails to sync the image correctly

This means you have to keep booting the ps5 in safe mode (and sometimes even this won’t work)

Contacted customer service and got a replacement cable for free. This one worked a little better but eventually the same problem started occurring.

I bought this cable in an attempt to resolve an issue I was having with a new AV setup involving Apple TV4K and an AV Receiver. The 10m 4K HDMI cable I was using from quite a big well known high end cable company seemed to dislike it when I enabled the higher chroma settings on the Apple TV and was dropping the picture with some higher frame rate 4K Content. I decided to try the Ruipro (GEN3 version) as although I don’t need 8K support I thought it might help, and it has done the trick. I am now able to run the higher chroma settings etc from Apple TV with no issues. Cable seems well made and is much smaller and flexible than some of the more chunky HDMI cables. Very pleased so far. Please note I ordered through Amazon but went for delivery from Ruipro to ensure I got the latest Gen 3 cable.

Using this cable to connect my HDMI 2.1 AV receiver and LG CX OLED TV. Using eARC and 4K 120hz with no problems. Would recommend.

Works well and does exactly what I need it to. It’s a high speed cable and connects my 4K Apple TV to my 4K TV. The cable feels well made and should last a long time. Great price as well.

Bought this cable for my PS4, and I noticed an immediate improvement in both contrast, and brightness quality. Before buying this cable my PS4 picture quality was always dark, no matter what settings I tried on my Panasonic 4K tv. Picture also looked sharper. Now using it on my new PS5 console, and delighted with picture quality. This cable is well made, great value, and I would have no hesitation buying it again, and recommending it to others.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMy A/V Amp a Denon sits at the back of our lounge while the TV a LG Oled is at the front . So I needed at least a 20m cable. Initially I purchased another fibre optic cable and I will not reveal the make to save the manufacturer from criticism . Every so often I got a grey screen so it was returned and when the refund was made. I then done a thorough research and then decided to purchase this RUIPRO 8K 20m HDMI 2.1 Cable . I firstly gave it a trial run for a few days before installing it in its permanent loop. The picture quality of this cable is absolutely stunning. I know it is expensive but having said that. It is also future proof as far as when the 8k TV ‘s come on stream . So as far as I am concerned ,it is a investment . Very happy with this cable and I would like to fully recommend it .

Got a handful of these for future proofing. Unfortunately the only HDMI 2.1 capable device I have is my TV which is an LG W9 OLED. Using these cables to connect my Ultra HD Blu Ray Player (Panasonic UB9000) and PS4 – all works fine. So at least HDMI 2.0 to HDMI 2.1 is working absolutely fine. I am able to receive HDR/Dolby Vision and 4k/60 without problems.

I will be able to test the HDMI 2.1 capabilities of this cable when the PS5 arrives next week. I will update this review then with my findings.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersThis is an update for this cable which I had rated 1 star due to it not working with a RTX 3090 and LG CX OLED TV. Ruipro had got in contact with me about this as they have now got a new version which works. They were happy to send out a new one to me that will work. This is version 3A and they did not want the old cable back too!
They sent it out from China on a priority express delivery with Fedex and arrived in 3 days!! Now thats amazing customer service!! And yes it all works perfectly fine now with the above setup. Thankyou Ruipro and if anybody else was in the same situation as me get in contact with them and they will happily help

This represents excellent value for money. My amp has a tester system and this passes for 8k 60 which far more expensive cables couldn’t manage. It seems well made for the price point and rugged.
No complaints at all and highly recommended.

Having made do with bad/old cables these were an essential purchase along with a new TV. Picture/audio quality is noticeably better with these vs the old ones.

Excellent reliable cable and good quality. I used this for a 15m run from AVR to projector and no issues with 4K, just note the cable is directional.

Works perfectly. This it from an Apple4K tv, to LG tv. This also works when connecting the Apple TV via an LG sound bar and out to the projector.

It feels very robust and well made.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersI had a 7.5m copper hdmi cable which connects between the receiver and the projector (1080p). I got intermittent black screen with this setup. Was suggest to try a fibre one as I need a long cable. Changed to this and the issue solved.

I don’t have 4K so can not comment on the 4K performance but this one does sorted out my issue.

Is about the best quality long distance operational HDMI can get.
Have a new projector. Get new one each 4 years, and now the performance can be 4K if streaming etc, so must have decent low loss cable. They are not cheap, but essential if want best picture quality.
Have a long run across roof, and down wall, and then to cabinet, so had to go for something decent…………

I need a 7m run from my AV Receiver to my TV and regular High-Speed HDMI cables just weren’t cutting it. I kept getting picture and sound dropouts when using the 4K Bluray player and Xbox One X and I tried quite a few different cables. This 10m Fibre HDMI cable solved all that. Is it worth the 87 I paid for it during Black Friday? Absolutely not, no HDMI cable is worth that sort of money but it solved my issues so I’m happy enough. Because it’s so expensive I can’t rate it with 5 stars though.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our Users10 meters is its specialty. The new TV bought on the Black Friday, with this line, the effect is really good, and the characteristics of the OLED TV can be perfectly expressed.
The 10-meter cable can better allow me to switch between various computers and projectors, and each function works perfectly

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersBought this to replace a 20m hdmi lead i recently installed in trunking, the one i originally had installed was connected to my av reciever and tv, worked ok for 4k but not 4k hdr (I was getting sound but no image)

Now installed this cable and getting 4k hdr perfectly!
very expensive but does what I wanted it to do, if you are doing a long hdmi run and want 4k hdr fibre optic is the way to go

his is not the first cable of this length (10m) I have ordered for my 4k bluray to projector, but it is the first to provide connection as one would expect. this cable is quite pricey, but is doing the job very well. came fast (overnight), quality seems good. smaller diameter cable made it easy to feed through ceiling channels for hidden routing and was very flexible. so far this cable has been great though only a week old and only a few movies in.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersOk so this is quite an expensive cable but the cheapest here at Amazon compared to independent retailers. I needed the length because it was going in trunking around a door frame. Works perfectly and have had no issues in the month I’ve had it. These cables are recommended for watching UHD 4k at 60fps if you need a cable over 7 or 8m.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersBought this to connect a 4K projector to a AV receiver in another room. Had to route the cable through the ceiling, round some bends and through a tight conduit. Its a 8m or so run and so used the 10m cable. My previous ICE 10m HDMI cable could not handle 4K HDR over this run but this one works flawlessly for 4K and HDR, tested using various sources. So far its been great and its price was competitive compared to similar products. They have now given it a lifetime warranty so there is peace of mind too.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersAfter trying around 15 different cable solutions this is the only one that properly worked that I tried.
I trialed a load of premium rated 4K HDR copper cables. One or two of these worked at this length however did not once in my real world situation. Ie in a roof that has power cables as well.
Then did some research and the voltage drop over copper cable at this distance came up as a consistent problem at higher data speeds. So tried two 5 metre cables joined by an amp that worked OK some of the time but not always( generally if you had lights on in the room causing disruption). But this was the best standard solution I found ( Onyx Black diamond 5m cable supplemented with an HDMI amp – as an aside also tried several amps as well. Basically none that claimed to have the speed required to run 4K HDR worked when they just used the hdmi cable as a power source) )
Then tried hdmi over CAT6 using some recommended converter pairs using solid core cat6 cable. This ran to 1080p but would not run to full 4K at hdr 60 hertz.
I also did try a cheaper optical hybrid hdmi cable but this did not work at 4K. Then did some more googling and found a forum populated by AV installers. A deeply geeky place but there seemed to be concencus around this cable as the one that works at 10 m plus ( Which by the time you have to run a cable up a wall and around a steel and along the length of room is quite easy). So as the only cable after a considerable amount of time effort that works faultlessly it gets my grateful recommendation.
This is 10 metres running up a wall and along a roof past spotlight cables from an Apple 4K tv to a 4 k projector.
( If running 1080p hdr at this distance several of the premium certified cables worked and is a much cheaper solution)

Works! Full 4k capability (depending on your source/display)…Xbox One S reports all modes supported (once I adjusted the HDMI inputs on my Denon AVR). Nice and light. Suspecting this cable uses plastic for the optic cable, which should be a lot more flexible than a real fiber optic (glass) but I see no mention of acceptable bending radius in the product description. I have about 4 ft too much length so I coiled up the slack (6″ diameter).

I used to be a Telecom Fiber splicing tech (splicing glass based singlemode fiber optic cables) and also used plenty of plastic-based multimode fiber cables. I’m assuming this is more like the plastic multimode fiber cables and if so you don’t want to bend these too tightly or pull too hard when running/fishing the cable.

My Monoprice Redmere cable would not pass the higher bandwidth 4k.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI bought this cable (15m) based on various website recommendations. For testing, I unwound about two meters and tried it between an Amazon Fire TV 4k box and a Samsung 55″ UHD TV. At first it was good, but then I noticed some picture disturbance (HDCP snow) and audio clicks. Touching the source end (Fire TV) cable connector made things worse and the picture disappeared for a short time. A normal (cheap, 2m) HDMI cable worked fine – even when moved.

So, the cable is being returned for refund. I’ve ordered another and will update this review very soon. Hopefully this was just a one-off bad cable – but it doesn’t bode well for quality control.

    —- UPDATE —-

Second cable arrived and so far seems fine. I ran the same test and no problems were seen at 1080p60 or 4k30. I don’t have a 4k60 (18Gbps) source so couldn’t test that.

Worth noting that the cable did NOT come with any HDMI dust covers – which is vital if you’re installing the cable somewhere, which given its length is quite likely. The serial number label fell of the cable, but the general construction seems good.

So now up from 2 stars to 4. If I get any issues, I’ll update this review again.
