I bought this for my shed as I needed a unit which would remain on during the cold weather and, so far, it has.
There is not much to tell about it as it is much as customers might expect, a big white box (see product dimensions) with a silver metal interior. It has a small suspended shelf which, to be honest, is rather too small to be useful for much and there is an internal ‘shelf’ which actually just covers the workings of the freezer as is the case with most if not all freezers.
I chose it as the advert promised me it would be delivered to the room of my choice. In reality the guy left it on the doorstep, waited in his van and drove off. That meant a disabled person had to go through a lot of pain to get it indoors and wait the rest of the day for help to move it the right room so, don’t buy it for that reason.
The lid opens nice and wide and doesn’t feel like it is going to drop on me whilst using it and empty, it’s really not so heavy I suppose because there isn’t much to a freezer! Heavy enough to hurt me but not heavy.

Not much to say really. It keeps food frozen. I’ve will build up along the edges, so I expect to have to defrost every 6-12 months.
The extra size is great, the smaller chest freezers are pointless.

A decent freezer at an attractive price
Quite pleased with this freezer so far. Its quite small for a chest freezer but very light and easy to move. The 2 good features are
1. its suitable for a garage.
2. it has an external temperature warning light.

This is a nice freezer, perfect for what I need. My only gripe is the basket that comes with it. It’s kind of a waste of space. You can’t get much in it, and it takes up quite a bit of room, so I’ve took it out altogether. Much better.
Overall, I would recommend this freezer.

Although it’s early days to give a review of this freezer, so far I am very happy with the product. It is spacious and virtually silent in operation. When it was delivered it was fairly light and easy to manoeuvre into position. I have high hopes that it will live up to the usual Russell Hobbs reputation for electrical goods.

Excellent Chest Freeze
I very pleased with this purchase, It was delivered well packed in perfect condition and the delivery men were wonderful. It looks like a well made product and is a perfect size for the average family. I was initially a little concerned when purchasing this cause at first I could not track it but, there was no need to worry because after speaking to the seller they reassured me and sent me tracking details. Prior to this purchase, I had a chest freezer from AO that was not capable of reaching suitable freezing temperatures – it only managed -10 on full blast. This ended up spoiling a lot of produce. However, this freezer does the job that its creators intended. No problems at max capacity – holds a good temperature range of -18 to -21, and that is the readings from the thermometers placed at the top of the freezer.

Excellent, bought this during lockdown to keep in the garage so I don’t have to go the shops as often. I have a fridge freezer in kitchen, but freezer size quite small. Perfect size for family of 4. Not too large, can reach the bottom & stores plenty. Basket & ‘shelf’ are useful.

Needed an additional freezer as the upright one we had doesn’t take as much as I’d hoped. This one is compact but just right for our needs. Suitable for use in a garage, which was most important. Very pleased so far. Should be a boon at Christmas!

It could probably do with a compartment divider inside and the metal net like basket which fits on top inside could be improved in quality. This has been an ideal replacement for my old Russell Hobbs Freezer it is a third bigger than my old unit, and good value, especially against the cost of similar freezers on the market. Delivery met the original details, and the the driver and his mate were able to bring the unit into the house, and took the packaging away the packaging, and was also told about applying for free extended warranty, if I called a number within 28 days. They were extremely polite and helpful..

The down side was the expectation that I could accept a signed for delivery with 24 hours notice – when ordered on a Tuesday it said delivery the following Tuesday – no problem, however received a phone call on the Thursday expecting me to take delivery the next day! Communication with delivery people could have been better as there was a mix up of messages and information give
I chose this product for my Mum as I felt it suited her needs and she liked the price.
We were both disappointed however, when the supplier failed to answer a simple question regarding the provision of an additional internal basket needed because my Mum is 87 years old now and she was hoping that an additional internal basket, (which she would have been happy to pay for), would make it easier for her to use the product.
After being let down by a big high street catalogue order company, I ordered this freezer on the 31st and it arrived at 08:45 on the 3rd. It arrived in its original manufacturers packaging which was easy to remove. It needs to be left for 4 hours to settle. The delivery guys who I must say where some of the friendliest delivery men I have ever met had fun carrying it up to my second floor flat. They did not complain and wanted to carry it in and leave it in the kitchen so it would be ready to go. I cant fault the delivery men as they had driven 103 miles to get it to me and for a delivery charge less than 30. I never knew Russell Hobbs made freezers and I am really impressed with this. For the money its a great product. Its on wheels so it can be moved out easily when fully loaded to clean behind and underneath. It has a larger capacity than most of the competition of the same external size. The only down side is the lack of a fast freeze function but then again you don’t need it. Shut down to fully cooled is only a few hours. The nice thing about it is the inclusion of a drain plug at the back to drain out any water when defrosting which Russell Hobbs recommends twice a year as this is not a frost free freezer. In use its quiet and you don’t need to have it set too cool. The instructions recommend setting it to 3 (any higher and you could start the next ice age). Its a A+ rated freezer so it is not going to break the bank when in use.
The only gripe I did have about the freezer was the large sticker that Russell Hobbs stuck on top telling you about the customer care and to leave it for 3 hours before use. Gripe 1 the time on the sticker is wrong and gripe 2 is that the sticker was a real pain in the backside to remove. What ever glue they used needed thinners to properly get off.
This is a great value deal 80 off the original price and with quick fast delivery I can not thank the seller enough I am truly impressed with this.
