Lightning Bright Security Deterrent.
Kibtoy with three very bright individual and moveable section lights provide a security deterrent. Power to the unit is supplied from direct sunlight without the need of a mains connection. Kibtoy is very good quality item reasonably priced.
Effective, good value!
Item only arrived yesterday, so I can’t comment on longevity or durability as yet. Very easy to fit, a small plastic mounting bracket needs to be affixed to the mounting surface using 3 screws. All fittings are supplied, and I found the wall plugs and screws to be fine for mounting onto brick. Whilst installing the unit, I did notice that the solar panel and the section with the LEDs on can be pulled apart – I considered this may lead to water ingress into the unit containing the LEDs, so I sealed the 2 sections with a little silicone. Positioned as required, tightened all the joints up then waited for it to get dark … All good, very bright, sensitivity is good and it will detect movement from around 8′ away (approx.) LEDs stay illuminated for around 30 seconds and illuminate an area of around 12′, which I didn’t think was bad at all. Bought mainly for illuminating the path leading to the front door and the area around it now winter is coming. Like other LED lighting, the light doesn’t project or spread as well as some other types of lighting, so if you need to light up a larger area, such as a wide driveway or rear yard, you may need something bigger and better or more than one of these.

Have replaced the old mains powered light with this one. At this time of year its not really being used but charged up. At present it seems fine and was easy to fit. That’s it really its a light and it works.
I’ve gave these a few months
I got these in winter and they worked okay, it’s now mid summer and there still as strong and bright as when I first got them, very easy to install and well that’s it there auto on off after 10 seconds well worth the money.

Very pleased with this light. It’s really bright and was relatively simple to fix. It’s responsive to movement with the PIR. It’s good quality and I would buy a second one if I had somewhere for it to go
Excellent lights
Bought these for our chicken coop area and they are fantastic. Even in cloudy Scotland they work well. Good value for money. Had them about 6 months and never an issue with them.
Solar powered LED spotligh
Hugely impressed with this Product, was worried that it wouldn’t last or be bright enough cause of it being solar powered, works brilliantly, great illumination from the leds. Saves on the energy bills, bought a 2nd one also
Does job
Got this as a quick fix to light up back garden after an attempted burglary. This was fitted quick and easy and lights up back garden when motion sensor triggered, makes us feel abit more secure.
Delayed detection but good lighting
Love the design and flexibility but was not used to the delay in coming on after the IR detection was triggered. I’m used to immediate turn-on after someone comes in range but this takes about 10 seconds.

Works well, no issues as yet. Holds charge well which is impressive for the lack of sunshine in Ireland!! Movement sensor works well and bright illumination. Would recommend, especially for the price.
I fitted the bracket to the wall, 3 screws, so nice and easy. I switched on the light and clipped it into the bracket at 1pm on the first Saturday of February. The sun went down at 5pm, so only 4 hours to charge. Stepped out into the garden after 6pm and the light came on straight away. The sensor is excellent picks up the dogs movement every time and the light comes on. The light isn’t the brightest and will not illuminate a large area, but very good for a smaller area. For the price and the zero running costs I think this is an excellent produc
Bright Light but the sensor only works when you’re within 2 to 3 metres. Fairly easy to install but I used different screws because one of the ones supplied snapped when I was screwing it into the facia. the heads also started to strip despite having drilled pilot holes.
Super bright ligh
I installed it onto a wooden frame so was very quick and easy putting it up. Love the adjustable light design so I have control on what direction the lights are going. The sensor works great picking up movement. It gets set off several times a night and I’ve had no problem with the light not getting enough charge from the solar panel. I have used different lights before and this one has been the best.
Not for tropical climate
Suppose to be water proof but tropical rain spoilt one of them. Otherwise it’s really bright and works well
Bought it to install in my garden by my door. I do not go home late at night trying to find my keys and the lock in the dark!

Kibtoy solar light easy to install brightness 4*, purchased this solar light to come on when where approaching our backdoor,and, with it being quite dark the lighting helps us also for unlocking the door quite easily instead of fumbling around in the dark as we have to walk down 6 concrete steps to get to our backdoo
I have had this installed for a couple of weeks now and it has been brilliant, but this week with the cold but bright weather, I have found out that the cold must kill the battery. I got home last night and the light was on, but it was barely visible. The same today, the sun has been out all day, but it has been icy cold, so no light from it. A few weeks after I first wrote this review, still not working even though the temp is up to 12 today. I brought it inside with plans to return, and once warmed up the light came on and was bright. Basically, an outdoor security light that does not work in the winter, so making it useless.
I have an off grid set up for my horses so everything is solar or chargeable battery powered. With nights drawing in I need some convenient lighting whilst I do the evening feed. So so amazing better than I expected. It took a two full days to charge before it worked so I was eager to see if they were either faulty or just charging up! So bright and they stay on for practically the whole time I’m up there as I’m constantly moving around. They do switch off after a small amount of time if I’m not moving. There isn’t a lot of choice with up and down angle but this does not affect me as the position they are already in suits my set up. Solar panel is slanted and luckily facing the sun!

I needed a light for the top of my garden. Due to the location ideally it had to be solar. I looked around and this seemed like the best option. It arrived well packaged. It was easy to install. The light itself is to a quality you’d expect for the price. It’s nice and bright, lights up the are well and the motion sensor seems spot on. I would recommend.

Easy to put together, I screwed lights onto a piece of wood then attached it all to the was using out door no nails. I don’t have a drill for walls. Light is really bright fir these dark nights

Where you can place the light is very much limited by its need for direct sunlight. Would have liked a 10% permanent light ability when not fully on option, to avoid walking on frog in the dark before the light triggers.

Bought in November, but unfortunately they have now stopped workingjust flashes off and on. That’s less than 7 months, so not very good at all I’m afraid. It’s a shame because when they worked they were really very good!
UPDATEhaving read my review I was sent a replacement item, and an extra set as a goodwill gesture! Great customer service and hopefully this item will outlast the original, but thanks to the company for helping out.

Bright and easy to set up
Bright light, very easy to install and attach to where it needs to go. Lasts all night with periodic uses. Motion detector could be more sensitive or from further away but does the job.

Really bright light.
This replaced an old light. So much brighter and versatile with its three sets of movable lights, so much so that I got one for my son who was impressed by it. The instructions failed to mention what size masonry bit to use which would have been helpful – from memory I think it’s 5mm.
Superb
Easy to set up. One light for the back door, one for the dustbin and one for the back gate. No problems so far, but has only been up a few months. The lights are bright, but not too bright. I seriously recommend this system of light if you need to light up different places, within its beam range.

Stopped working
I purchased this light only in September and it has stopped working I’m really disappointed as I have no light outside when I go out the back so can’t see a thing.it gets plenty of light in the day it just stopped working
Purchased one of these lights to illuminate a piece of land at the side of our new home that’s not ours but once grassed is going to become and area for anti social behaviour. We thought light it up and the damned teenagers won’t congregate there. Looked for ages for a bright solar product with good reviews at a decent price and plumped for this one. On arrival we unpacked it from its small box. The item is small and once the 2 directional led lenses each side of the primary lense are folded out it looks a neat piece of kit. Picture shows size compared to car key. It’s taken a little bit of trial and error to get it just right in terms of motion detection but it’s ok up to about 20ft away. Once triggered the lights are very bright and adequately light up the area in question for a minute or two or until movement ceases. For the money I think this product is a bargain. I have not been paid to write this review and am a genuine Amazon customer..

Picks up most movements, bright enough to let camera do it’s job. Had one at back of house with basic cctv. Bought another one for sheds on gable end. Even in winter is charging enough to last the night. Good product, not oversold, will buy some for my daughter as well.First one stopped working after three months. I wonder how long this one lasts. Very disappointing.Flicked switch on and off a few times and it started working fine. I’m thinking that if I spray some switch cleaner in this it will work for quite a while. Watch this space.! Second one also stopped working after about three months. Was given a replacement for first one but I think I give up now, I suppose the third one will soon stop working as well. Forty four quid for a few months light, not good.As expected, the second one has now stopped working. Only one left, forty four quid for one security light which will soon stop working.
Great security ligh
We had a old wired security light that was very dim and had packed up. So I used this lamp to replace that equipment. It was easy to install and we switched it to motion and followed the fitting instructions and had it in place in about 20 minutes facing our drive. It has since worked and senses movement of people and cars on our drive and bright enough to provide secure and safe movement. It has charged well off charging on winter sunshine and provides an reasonably priced, eco friendly outside lighting solution.

These little lights are absolutely brilliant. They are discreet and bright . The censors don’t stay on too long unlike some but long enough. We got two for our driveway and it took my husband less than 1/2 hour to fit both. The only downside is you can’t change the censors timer but like I said it’s a good amount of time when it comes on but not too long .
I purchased two sets of these light from Kitboy last November and another one last month. However I noticed slight condensation on one of lens from last years purchase and duly contacted Kitboy via Amazon . I received a message from them within the hour asking for more details and photo of the fault which I sent. Kitboy then came back to inform me that they would be sending me a replacement and would receive it within 10 days, one week later the replacement arrived. I am very impressed with Kitboy and how proactive they were, only wish other companies were of the same standard. These lights are fantastic value and illumination is superb and would highly recommend these for any outdoor use. Once again Kitboy thank you and no doubt hope to deal with you again in the future .
I bought this to cover my garden, I have a dog and when he is out I worry about where he is. We also all know about the high level of dog thefts. Having this light was intended to make me feel more secure. I am no DIY specialist but when I opened the box thankfully it looked easy to fit. The light has just a few screws to put the light holders to where you want it. The solar panel is movable which is great as I have a tree overhanging the area. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of light, you can move the two side arms to cover the area you want covering. Overall I cannot fault this,it’s great value for money and easy to fit, it definitely does what it says it should.
Bought as a replacement for a mains operated unit that the bulb had failed in and was so rusted together I couldn’t get it apart to replace it. I didn’t expect this light to be as good as it is! It was a breeze to fit and worked straight out of the box even before it had seen any sunlight. Not quite as bright as the mains operated one, but more than adequate to light my decked area and patio. The sensor picks up my dog as soon as he steps out of the back door and as long as he is moving about it stays on. All in all I am very pleased with my purchase. Lets see how long it lasts – but for 20 if it lasts a couple of years I’ll be happy.
Update July 2022 – over a year since I bought this light and it is still working well. Just as bright and detects movement well. I am just about to order another for the side of our house.
This item arrived safe and well packaged.
The box contained a solar light unit (with 70 individual LED bulbs split between the 3 panels), instructions and a bag with screws/wall plugs. This light unit is a really new clever design where the solar panel and lights are separate, so they can each be angled in different directions. That helps the solar panel to collect maximum amounts of sunshine, whilst the lights can cover the widest, or weirdest shaped area too.
The button cycles the light between the 3 settings. Each setting is confirmed by the relevant number of light flashes.
The motion sensor seems to be set just right, responding to people in the near vicinity.
The dusk sensor is also set very well too. The lights switch on right when they are needed.
When these lights are switched on they really are quite bright! A decent amount of light from something being charged purely by sunshine!!
These can easily replace wired security lights around your property.
I’m glad to have these added to my outdoor security set up as I expand my garden with additional growing areas. Having light from multiple sources in the garden is ideal for making full use of the garden, day and night.
I highly recommend this item.
