This ottoman is big enough for what I need it for the colour is nice lovely shade of grey easy to set up and once the lid goes on helps make the whole thing sturdy
Very sturdy
Love it. The colour is very close to the colour of my bed, so that is a bonus as well. The ottoman is very sturdy, it’s really easy to put it together. The divider is a nice touch. The top is well cushioned. I recommended this product.

I have to give credit where it’s due—this ottoman has truly stood the test of time. It’s been a part of my home for a whole year now, and it’s still in fantastic shape. Despite daily walks and paw traffic from my cats and even my dog, it’s held up remarkably well. It’s proven to be an excellent purchase, offering not only ample storage but also remarkable durability. The assembly was a breeze, and I’ve been consistently impressed by its sturdiness. I got the widest one (110cm) in black. It’s very good. Heavier than I expected, especially the lid. Very capacious, nice quality finish, and feels extremely sturdy to sit on. Plus, it all folds into the size of its own lid seen you need it to. Great value too. Can’t ask for more.
Great sturdy storage box bought to replace same one that broke when my partner fell off some ladders on top of it. Box was undamaged just the lid. Bought the black but its a shiny cheap black material but still good
I’ve bought 3 of these cubes to store clothes. They have a great capacity and they work as comfy seats when friends are around or just to simply rest your feet on them.
This is a great brand but they have raised the prices considerably!

Great storage box
I find the Ottoman range great for little pieces in the bedroom. This box fits perfect at the end of the bed and is great for bed linen/towel storage. Would definitely recommend.

Organizing Makeup
Love this storage ottoman! I bought it to hold my makeup as something I can use as storage and also to sit on to do my makeup. I set it up in 5 seconds, love the colour (more than I did online,) and it’s extremely sturdy to sit on! Couldn’t love it more!
Great little storage box
Really pleased with purchase. Used for my hallway next to a shoe cabinet. I use it to keep my shopping bags, umberella, hat and scarf. Sturdy enough for me (approx 10 stone in weight) to use to sit on to put on and off shoes and trainers. Visitors have commented on the lovely light grey colour and how smart it looks.

I was looking for something to store my cockapoo’s toys but could also be used as a seat or footrest. It was very easy to make, as all you have to do is push the bottom in and this makes it into a box. Plenty of room to store the toys and a padded top makes it a good footrest. Looks smart too. My only criticism is that, while it will be fine to sit on (your weight is spread, and I weigh 16 stone), do not stand on it. I also once used it to lean on while getting off the floor, and as my weight was all on my hand the side gave way. This would not stop me buying another, as I know not to abuse it. Use it for what it was designed, and you will be pleased.
Cheap really for what it is. Easy to put up and my kids sit on the box so its strong.

I really liked like the appearance of this ottoman which supplies much needed extra storage in one of my bedrooms. It is sturdy, easy to assemble but the storage capacity is limited by the central divider. I I appreciate the central divider helps make the ottoman sturdy, but with large thick items such as double bedspreads the whole length would be needed to obtain suitable storage. I tried removing the central divider but the ottoman became much less stable. So I would only recommend this for less bulky items such as sheets, pillowcases and towels.

This is used for storage at the bottom of the bed (replaced a big sofa in the bedroom) I had looked for an ottoman that could take a bit of weight when 2 people were sitting on it to put their shoes on, and this product said that it could take 300kg. I can believe it. Its simple, sturdy and amazing value for money.

This storage chest is perfect for hiding and storing fitness equipment in the living room. I’m able to fit x2 1.5kg, 3kg, 5kg, 10kg, 12.5kg 15kg dumbbells (12 in total) and 3 kettle bells all in one place! That’s alongside my exercise mat, exercise bands and skipping rope.
The chest looks really tidy and you’d never know what’s in there. I also have a smaller unit holding a couple of heavier dumbbells in the kitchen.

Good, but not as cheap as they might seem
Something of an Amazon price premium on these ottomans generally as they’re basically the same size and build as the ones Wilko’s/Wilkinson do for 14/20, albeit with the addition of stitching on the top.
Can’t really complain about the quality as it’s really not bad at all, but if you want to save a tenner and you aren’t too far from a high street then you have that option.

Great storage box, average footres
Was simple and intuitive to assemble and more sturdy then expected after you put the base plate in. It stores a pretty good amount and is a good height for a foot rest for my armchair.
The reason this is 4 not 5 stars though is the ridges on the pillow part that divide the square pattern; they can feel pretty uncomfy under your feet at times but I find it pretty tolerable. Overall its a great product and one I do find super useful

Great with grey IKEA Strandmon Armchai
I bought this to go with my new IKEA Strandmon Armchair, as the armchair is in a small room, I didn’t really have space for the IKEA matching footstool, so I looked on Amazon and found this in dark grey, it’s a lot more compact than Ikea’s footrest and I can even store random stuff inside it meaning less waisted space, plus as it’s collapsible, If I need the space back I can fold it up and put out of the way easily.
The colour is decent match for the IKEA Strandmon, not perfect of course, but decent, I have the dark grey version, but you could get away with light grey too, this footstool seams nice and sturdy and the cushion on top is soft enough for my ankles. Overall if you’re looking for a decent footrest for a chair/sofa in a small space, this is brilliant.

Sturdy & easily folds away
We don’t have recliners on our sofa & so frustrating sometimes when you just want to put your feet up so when I saw this I was a bit sceptical as I didn’t know how practical it would be. BUT I’m so glad I bought it. Assembled in seconds, I’ve sat on it & it’s really sturdy & great to put feet up on. Folds up just as quickly & stores away by our corner unit. Couldn't be happie
After reading previous reviews I was expecting the ‘odd’ smell which many mentioned however, I’m happy to report there’s no odour what so ever. I’m chuffed to bits with the size, sturdiness, colour and capacity
Sturdy, comfortable, looks good and fit for purpose
We bought the 110cm long one – Only had it a couple of days so cannot comment on durability but feels robust, has taken a good proportion of the toys we needed it for. Has neatened the place up and makes for a really comfortable seat for 3 ppl. No assembly required just pull it open and it pops into position then put the lid on.Only criticism is that the inner divider doesn’t stay put and it cd have done with two “hand holds” on the sides to enable moving it once it’s full of the storage item. Apart from that so far very little to fault it lots to commend it.

Bought this to store my unseasonal shoes as I can’t fit all of them in my wardrobe at one time! Plenty of room and have even got room for my long boots when not in use.
Sturdy, stylish and spacious
I got this to replace my 7 year old ugly cheap plastic shoe stand that I had since Uni and jsut never thought to replace.
It sits at the bottom of my bed holding all my shoes. There is a divider you can put in which means I have the choice to divide the inside and store other things while keeping them safe from my shoes. Right now it’s wrapping paper.
It was super easy to shape and get together.
I am a very large person right now, so sturdiness was very important. I can sit on this ottoman without fearing for my dignity or worrying about breaking it. It’s nicely cushioned too.

I am more than happy with this product; a lovely addition to my beauty treatment room to store towels etc. It looks plush and the colour goes with my colour scheme well. Would consider another one in the house to store shoes etc.

Nice ottoman that fits lovely into a space. Storage capacity for our babies living room toys is great. Our only real niggle would be that the central divider is fairly loose and keeps slipping out.

Deceptively sturdy!
This product caught me off guard – with what seems to be quite thin walls and a simple fabric setup, I didn’t think it could hold a towel on top let alone myself.
I’ve had myself and my dogs on the top coming in around 90kg without any issues yet!
The build took literally minutes with it simply being a pop up with the walls and the lid to fix in place.
Attractive and Spacious
Very impressive quality and stores loads of things – I have used it for linen, blankets and throws. Looks good but a fraction of the cost of a traditional ottoman. Speedily delivered flat packed and takes about a minute or less to assemble. So impressed I bought a smaller one for my single bedroom. An adult can sit on this with no issues.

I bought this for the grandchildrens playroom. It’s surprisingly strong and sturdy with the lid on, I don’t think it’s so strong with the lid off but I’m keeping all the art and craft supplies in it, which only come out under adult supervision so that’s not a problem. It was easy to put together, just unfold and stick the base in. Really comfortable to sit on too.

Large storage space & comfortable
Amazing and spacious storage. I have bought a second one since and it is just as good as the first. Very comfortable to sit on and can hold a lot of weight.
The only downfall is the divider does not sit securely, this is the same for both ottomans. But overall it does the job and if a third one is needed I’ll know what I’ll be buying.
Superb quality ottoman - recommended
Item was delivered early and was flat packed; it is extremely easy to assemble. The base has sides and ends attached and needs hard base putting in and centre wall panel sliding into place. Once assembled it is extremely sturdy and comfortable to sit on. We have decided to put item close to wall and place cushions against wall as back rest. Item seems to be of german origin and quality is very good – contradicts the low price really. We are so happy my partner is ordering another; for a different room.

Love how sturdy the ottoman is and how it doesn’t feel like it is about to collapse in on itself. Only reason I haven’t given 5* is because the middle divider doesn’t stay in place very well but it’s not a deal breaker. The product does exactly what you need it to and looks amazing and is quite comfortable to sit on too!

Bought this storage box as my daughters toy collection was getting out of control. Box turned up and was surprisingly heavy, it is a lot sturdier than we thought it would be. Super easy to assemble, it’s simply flat packed and there is a divider in the middle which slots in if you want to. The dark grey is a beautiful colour, really modern and the material is of good quality. We managed to fit in all of her toys with space left over so it does hold a fair amount. For the price, it is definitely worth it. Would 100% buy again!
Good Quality
This footrest is of great quality being that its sturdy and great storage space, my only complaint would be that using it as a footrest after 20 minutes it became uncomfortable some extra padding would have been ideal, other than that it goes great with my sofa and serves a purpose
So I bought this storage box because my current sofa has lost it’s ability to pop out it’s recliner. I also needed a storage solution to all my new PS5 games and controllers etc. This storage box was able to help me out in both circumstances.
It’s a very easy storage box to assembly and only takes a minute to put together and it STAYS together. At first I thought it would just collapse again, but no, it’s very sturdy and well built.
Using the storage box to rest your legs on is also excellent as I find it comfortable.
For 20 I can’t argue and I’m very happy with my purchase and can easily recommend it.

The product is well made and look good. It is very quick and easy to assemble but I would recommend people put heavy content in it if you plan to use it as a seat. The padding itself is quite thin but adequate. For this price it is fair for what it is though. Yes, I will buy again if I need another one.

Great little stool for lounge foot rest. Ridiculously easy to set up. No tools needed it just unfolds etc. Not the strongest item but if you just need a simple foot rest it’s pefect. My wife used it for tv watching, the top lid padding is not really plush but ok. It’s not strong enough to stand on, and we don’t use the inside storage area but you could use it to store a small light throw or blanket. Good value, well made, suitable for use.
Delivered promptly and ahead of the estimated delivery time. Purchased to match a sofa we’ve had 10 years … whilst not an identical match, the colour and texture of the fabric is close enough to work, and true to the picture (we purchased dark grey).
Easy to assemble, took approx 30 seconds. Middle partition has a guide track to keep it in place, but will “pop out” if you overfill either storage compartment.
One side of ours holds kids toys (action figures, cars, duplo etc) the other holds yarns, crochet hooks and blankets. Ample storage, more than we actually needed.
In terms of comfort – we purchased this item with the idea of it having a “stay here through the day” place, and then moving it at night to use as a footstool once the kids are asleep, and as additional seating when we have guests. Sturdy, comfortable to sit on or use as footstool, and comfortably supporting my weight (12 stone).
Would highly reccomend, and considering purchasing another one purely as an additional seating and storage option!
Edit: second purchased!!! Original still in good working order, supported my big butt plus my 14 stone father as a seating option over xmas. Also recommended to friends!

Very easy to assemble and came well before the expected delivery, took only a few days. Looks great and is stylish, only negative is the divider in the box to split into two sides is a little small so doesn’t slot into the grooves it should, instead falls over. However this does not impact how useful and sturdy they are, we bought 3
Lovely Piece of Furniture
The item arrived 12 days before it was due so that was a good start. Perfect size for the bottom of my son’s kingsize bed, perfect match for the headboard too, I really like the colour. I’m using it for storing bed clothes, not for sitting on but seems quite sturdy and was really easy to ‘assemble’, no ‘assembly’ required, the box was in 1 piece so just had to slot the middle board in. Really pleased with it so far 🙂
Wobbly but great smart storage
If your looking at getting this I strongly recommend getting the same type that has a folding lid, it’s a lot stronger. This has a wobble to it and a feel that it just wouldn’t stand up to much, it’s been relegated to the conservatory. Great storage and nice feel to it but don’t think you can sit on it a lot.
Great but internal divider is pointless
It’s very sturdy, great storage capacity and very comfy material.
However, the internal divider is the most pointless part as it doesn’t actually lock in place. So expect to either find it has fallen over or bent out of shape.
As an ottoman it works fine, just be aware that if like me you’re storing bedding and towels and want them to be seperate that they will not stay that way
I was half expecting something quite poorly made and wobbly because online shopping for furniture and storage can be a bit of a hit and miss but seriously? I’m very happy with it! It’s big enough for what it is, it’s very well made, it’s VERY sturdy! I’m plus size (size 24) and can sit on it comfortably without being worried it’ll collapse! The only thing is I wish it was made in more colours – it goes with absolutely nothing in my house as my decor is beige/brown/gold, I’ll just keep it in my bedroom as extra storage for something and will be able to pull it out in case I have more guests and need an extra seat. But overall it’s really good!
Good but smaller than it looks.
The product looks beautiful and the fabric touches good. And it’s absolutely easy to assemble. The lid is sturdy and soft on the top, wich is good to seat on it. However, the sidewalls of the chest are not sturdy enough to allow the chest to be used as a actual seat, specially for heavy people. As to the size, the chest has a reasonable storage capacity, but not as much because it is not high enough. That’s why I returned the product so that I could buy the larger version of it.
Not as good as the one I bought 2 years ago
I bought one 2 years ago and need more storage space now so I got another. It’s a new listing now but the same brand, same dimensions etc. However the material is a really cheap version of the old one. The lid/seat is not as padded either. There has clearly been cost cutting at the expense of quality because the stitching even doesn’t look as good. It’s a real shame because I’m very happy with the original one.
Didn’t come with any assembly instructions but there are only a few parts to put together.
It feels fairly sturdy but I wouldn’t use it to sit on too often, the materials used aren’t durable enough. This is a storage unit.
My main issue with this product is the smell. There was a note inside the packaging which I believe stated that with ventilation the smell fades in a few days. That is not the case. The smell is almost like tobacco, very strong and unpleasant. I have had the product for a month now and despite being next to a window that is often open, and having given the whole product a wipe with anti bacterial wipes, the smell is still there (albeit less strong than when it first arrived).
For this reason I can’t recommend it.
Edit: after several months the smell had not faded. I contacted Songmics directly who quickly offered a couple of solutions- I opted for a replacement item which I have now assembled and already smells a lot better than the original. So I am happy.
Arrived on time and well packaged. Easy to assemble. Seller warned about a slight smell for a couple of days but it seems to be going now. Placed in our hallway for boots and shoes and is certainly a lot neater and tidier than the old shoe rack. It’s sturdy enough to sit on whilst changing out of footwear. My only slight grouse is that the lid is heavy and not easy to put back on again (I have to push the front in gently so it fits into place. Can’t really comment on durability as we’ve only been using it for a couple of days – but it appears good quality and the colour is as portrayed. Overall, we are pleased.

The divider inside does not stay fit in the box, the sides push out to easily. before even putting anything into the box, the middle seperator just kept falling down as I tried to slot it into the grooves inside, gave up on it. The lid is difficult to put on ,as the sides keep leaning out, emaning you have to struggle a bit. Does seem sturdy though once set up, Just be prepared to struggle a bit when getting something out/ putting something in.
**UPDATE** after raising the issue, SONGMICS support got back to me very quickly, so I am raising my score from 3-4, as possible the one I received was simply faulty, but the support I received was very good, so I do recommend the purchase.
