The reviews stating that this monitor needs a DC power supply to work on a Raspberry Pi 4/400 are wrong.

The Raspberry Pi 4/400 only puts out 1,200mA of USB power that is shared across the USB ports. This can’t be changed in hardware or software.

Use a higher current USB power supply and a high current cable. No problems.

Also, this is a touchscreen monitor, do not plug in the stock Pi mouse. Seriously.

You don’t need it and it will pull the USB output power down enough to keep the monitor from getting the current it needs to power up.

    Simple as.

As far as working on a PC. Zero issues.

This screen, a micro PC, a USB audio interface, and a tiny keyboard/mouse combo (I can’t always rely on a touchscreen).

It does require HDMI even when you connect it via usb-c to usb-c. Whatever though. So the USB really doesn’t carry any video data.

While moving cables around, it does make a popping sound and shut off for a second. Don’t know if it’s mine specifically or if it’s a design flaw.

Could I have just gotten a laptop? Yeah. But it would be bigger than I want.

It’s serving it’s purpose well. Let’s hope it lasts.

Nice little display. I don’t really use the touch screen much as it seems to activate whatever’s on my primary display, but I didn’t really need that functionality and it may be down to me not putting in the effort to trouble-shoot that issue. The unit also has sound, which I didn’t notice in the description (although it does say), might be useful for some. No dead pixels, very nice finish, works a treat for my needs (as a dedicated screen for video conferencing) or otherwise just a handy extra screen to move things aside to sometimes. Not the best value for money tho’ – I feel it was a little overpriced for what it is (109.99GBP at time of purchase). I previously tried a different screen, but it had flaws, so this was my next best find and I’m pretty happy with it. By modern standards, the image isn’t right up there, so I’ve given it just 4, but it’s certainly clear enough, just doesn’t hit the mark compared to OLED screens.

    Little bit thick.
There is a fan inside, which isn’t noisy but I can hear it in silent environment.

his is one of the est choices I’ve made. Really good extra display to put in my pc case to have a live wallpaper in there. Really good for the price. I recommend.

This little screen is full of big screen features, unlike many of its peers. An easy to use on/off switch, great color, touch that hasn’t needed to be calibrated, rugged case, internal menu for controlling panel settings. Windows 11 automatically recognized it, both as a display and its touch capabilities. The stand completely exceeded my expectations and is a perfect fit for the little display.

I use the little panel to display my GT730 GPS in MS Flight Sim. In Elite Dangerous I use if for running Icarus. Both work great. I’m completely satisfied with my purchase and heartily recommend this charming little touch screen.

A perfect addition for games like Elite Dangerous and Microsoft Flight Simulato

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersSo far so good. Using Windows 11 pro. Powering using USB-C to wall adapter, not PC USB port. Using included HDMI cable. Text on screen, while obviously small, is readable.

Make sure to set the correct resolution (1280×800) in Windows display settings.

Connected to my video camera as an extra monitor. It was very nice. Could easily adjust the brightness based on the lighting. Took a bit to get used to the controls. But that’s true for most things

I had bought one previously I was very disappointed with the quality, with this product it surpassed my expectations.

Bought it to use with my PC and it works like a charm. I have been using it to play a game called osu! and general use. I feared it may feel cheap or be slow, but it’s really quite the opposite.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is advertised as a touchscreen for the Pi, which would make you think it’s got everything you need to use it with your Pi as a touchscreen. But if you connect this to the USB port of your pi, it’ll keep flashing on and off, likely due to insufficient power.

I imagine if you use an external power cable that goes into the DC slot, then it’ll work. But they don’t include one.

They don’t tell you that you have to connect an external power source to get touchscreen functionality.

Aside for that… It works as a screen. If your screen keeps turning off, your cable or power source is too weak most likely. Switch to a better power source and it should work I guess.
