Life Expectancy:

We recommend to top-up your Easihold fixed stones every 1-2 years to maintain stability and for an even more robust finish, we also produce a range of resin-bound surfacing products for surfaces subject to vehicle traffic.

How to Guidance!

Weather Conditions:

It’s important you apply Easihold in the right weather conditions. Warm weather and most importantly, dry conditions for the 48 hours after application will give you optimal performance from your Easihold binder. Rainfall before the product has dried will cause the Easihold to be washed away. This will cause the stones to become un-bonded.

Suitable Stones:

Not all stones are suitable for Easihold application. Stones between 4mm and 10mm in diameter work the best, but even stones up to 15mm can work well if angular and clean.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the drying time? Easihold is air drying so it is important that you do not over-saturate the area being treated. Leave the first coat to dry for 24 hours or until fully dry before applying a second coat.
How many sq ft does it cover? 5 litres of Easihold covers between 64-86 sq. ft. when poured on. Using more Easihold per sq. ft. will cause the area to be wet and unbonded. For a more robust finish, you can apply two coats (once the first coat has dried).
How many m2 does it cover? 5 litres of Easihold covers between 6-8m2 when poured on. Using more Easihold per m2 will cause the area to be wet and unbonded. For a more robust finish, you can apply two coats (once the first coat has dried).
Is Easihold Permeable? Easihold coats the stones in a thin film, and leaves the stones capable of being penetrated by water as normal.
Will it darken the stones? Easihold dries clear (but is milky in large quantities) and will not change or add a colour to your stones. However, Easihold will bring out the natural colour of the stones – which is often interpreted as a change in colour. If you want to see how Easihold will change the colour, you can add water – the final result will be similar!
What size stone works best? We would recommend between 4mm and 10mm diameter for the best bond. But you can use stones up to 15mm and still achieve good results. Even larger stones can be bonded if clean and angular, but we wouldn’t recommend for any foot traffic.

We had loose stones which the crows decided to hit the outdoor mirror with early in the morning.
SO we bonded the stones and now the crows can’t wake me at silly o clock in the morning

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersUsed to keep stones fixed in decorative stone border and not coming into grass

Seems to hold very well after 1 application, will be doing another when the weathers dry.

1 thing i would comment on, is the video implied i could apply it using a pressure sprayer. I found that it had completely clogged it and had to chuck it in the bin. Instead I used a milk jug with holes poked in the lid.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWas delivered earlier than stated in order. We added some edging to some grass and used stones to hide some mud n cement, the stones being loose kept moving, we then found the resin on Amazon, we poured some into a spray bottle for application, sprayed the stones evenly then waited 24 hours and sprayed again, the stones are now solid, they will not be walked on and for decorative purposes only. Really pleased with the finished project and would highly recommend for same purpose.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent produc

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThere are three methods of application suggested: pouring, spraying or bathe stones in mixture and then lay out. Third method is more time consuming but extends volume used to stones laid by about 250%

Couple of months since I laid my first test patch, i think one stone has come loose so far. Way better than I expected. Just remember to wear gloves and old clothes, this stuff persists!

Great product! What a brilliant buy, delivery was superb too – arrived 12 hours after the order was placed (on a Saturday). Does exactly what it is supposed to do, my stones are solid and look great. Definitely recommend this product to everyone. Thank you Vuba!

Applied using a watering can. Made sure the weather was dry (didn’t want the product washing away).
We let the first coat dry for about 24 hours before applying the second coat.
What an impressive product. The stones are solid. We are able to walk on them without them moving. No more sweeping up stones.
    Highly recommend!

The product works perfectly if you follow the instructions, don’t oversaturate the area and leave it enough time to set.

The saying “less is more” has never been more prevalent!

Well done to the chemist who invented this, it’s a fantastic product.

I bought this not really expecting it to do what it claims but it does work it has stuck the decorative stones so they do not scatter on a small area outside our house going in and out the front door, I gave it two coats just to be sure and it goes a long way so I’m very pleasantly surprised at how effective it is, just make sure the weather will be dry for a couple of days afte

Bought this to use on my gravel path, used a watering can to apply which has worked a treat but have since seen that people use an applicator which looks even easier so I’ll try that next time. Stones have bonded really well. 10/10

Follow instructions and you wont have any problems. Brilliant product, mix 25 kg bag of chippings in a big bucket with just less than a quarter tub of this product. 5x 25 kg bags with one tub, I mixed it with my drill and a paint mixer padded, making sure i mixed chippings thoroughly, stuck within minutes of laying} it will stain surrounding surfaces so be careful, have to wait and see how long it stays stuck dow

    Grat produc

This has been sat in my shed for 12 months, never quite finished the path which has small shingle like stones on it, anyway, summer holidays, kids running about so I had to get busy… finally finished the path and thought I’d give this a go.

First, I tried pouring it into a pump dispenser, but turned into a complete disaster and think it finally finished off the dispenser, it didn’t spray out, not big loss as the dispenser is rubbish (another review), I then looked at our watering can, only to find the kids had yet again taken the nozzle off it, already replaced this once, nevermind. I then resorted to using an old plastic bottle and put sever holes in it. Other than pouring it all over my hands in the process this worked well. It is really sticky stuff… it is still on parts of my hand.

It does work though, not sure how long it will hold but after a day or so it has done well, so far. It holds the stones on place, walking used to be somewhat noisy, especially late night, but now I can almost tip-toe silently down the path. Let’s see how long it lasts…

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersWe laid a path about 7 years ago and had to compromise on design to get the path to curve – slabs would not fit the tight curves so we used small slabs as a path for the main walking area and Cotswold buff chippings for the edges and infill etc. From the moment it was laid, it drove me potty – chippings flew when the grass was mowed, dog ran across them and sent them flying plus every time I weeded, soil would end up on the path or the chippings would end up in the soil and the weeds grew on the path quite happily! So, roll on this summer and a mission to sort the issue out once and for all. I love the look of the path, just needed to make it work for me. I looked online and found this Vuba Easihold Resin which seemed to be the answer I needed. I ordered one bottle to trial as it’d would have been an expensive experiment if it went wrong but needn’t have worried as it went very well. There was a lot (and I mean a lot) of prep work involved as I was revamping an existing path – initially I thought I was going to have to buy new stones but reading new ones needed to be washed but a damper on my enthusiasm and meant I could use the old ones as they could be washed and treated just as easily. I dug out all the old stones, discarding weeds, sieving copious amounts of soil out, then washed them (hosed whilst in the garden sieve), cleaned the foundation of the path so it was like new and then put the chippings back in place and treated it all with a spray and walk away treatment for mould, algae etc which brightened up the chippings. Then came the resin. I taped off every slab to protect them and initially used “pour on method” with a watering can but found it used a lot of product and was difficult to be tidy between the narrow gaps I was working with but as a trial it worked as the chippings set rock hard in place. I swapped to “spray on” method, with sprayer wide open and it was easy to control and has done the job. I passed each section left to right, then top to bottom, did a final pass over everything and applied a second coat later on as, although it had all set hard, I was worried any rain might undo my hard work. Overall, its done an amazing job and was worth the hard work and expense. Tips would be to ensure the chippings are as flat as possible (tamp down a bit) before you start if you’re going to be walking on them as they’ll stay in the position you resin them in with and remove any debris before you start as it’ll stand out. Scotch tapes blue multipurpose tape sticks to garden slabs and removes the cleanest of all the tapes I tried! Chippings are left set solid, with a wet look glaze and I am happy with my path again – I can use a blower to remove any fallen leaves, soil etc, chippings won’t fly about when mowing and hoping the weeds won’t find a way to take hold again! NB I used five tubs, so expensive but worth it for the easy maintenance of my garden.

Does what it says on the tin!!!

The product itself is great and does the job well but applying it with a standard garden sprayer as per the video was not so easy, because the liquid is thicker than water it clogs up the sprayer quickly meaning every 5 minutes to have to wash the pipes though and start again. They should sell their own sprayer that is designed for the job

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have 2 bulldogs that like to destroy everything, I really want a low maintence clean cute little garden however did not fancy paying thousands of pounds to have to have it resined when my garden is never going to be that of a show home with my dogs. I found easi hold online and it is the best thing I’ve ever done. I live in a new build and where they have placed my slabs they have left some very random shaped parts in my garden, with dogs it wouldn’t stay as turf and it’s not big enough to flower bed and the shingle would be eaten for fun as dogs like to do! (Being a vet nurse this was NOT an option! So I tried easi hold, and laid and resined my garden myself. Also ordered the aggregate from Vubas website where they were super helpful!! Absolutely 5***. Wouldn’t recommend for larger areas such as drive away as will be expensive might as well pay them to do it all. But to tidy up random little areas when you have the limitations of dogs this ticks EVERY box!! Thank you 🙂

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI used this thinking it wouldn’t work , I had a small stones gavel pathway and I was sick of it flying all over, so I read up on the resins available (not many around) and I must admit I was dubious about this stuff having read the reviews and thought it wouldn’t work, well it has and it’s worked very well I think, I had a 5 mgr path about 1mtr wide and used a sprayer and just kept going up and down until I had used the whole 5 Ltrs , the next day I was pleasantly surprised, it was hard and strong and I am no small man anrpd it was solid walking on it, it reminds me of peanut brittle and maybe because the stones were small but I have found it worked really well , I reserve judgment for how long it will last ( months or maybe years) but I am reasonably pleased with it, if I have to redo in a couple of years we’ll so be it , but all in all very good product although it is quite expensive for what it is I would buy it again maybe for another project in the garde

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have a border around my patio slabs that neede re-filling with stones. I wanted to fix them in place but also help prevent weeds getting in there. I’ve only just done the job, but the results look pretty good. No idea yet how it will last of course.

I had 3 x 25Kg bags of White Spar stones from Wickes. I decided to go with the mixing together method – put some of the stones in a bowl and mix by hand together with the compound. Then lay them. There was only just enough to coat the 3 bags. I was surprised though how well set they were the next day. Stones that looked loose were actually fixed!

I have to deduct a star because it is way too expensive! I’ve got to buy another gerry can to do a small decorative area on the lawn now. I would prefer to have extra to give it a final spray with the compound.

Make sure you clean your stones and dry them out first. So be prepared for some work!

I needed something that would bind gravel that I was adding between my block driveway and lawn as I didn’t want loose gravel and this product was perfect. Read thru the instructions and it’s so easy. Ideal for stones up to 20mm. I washed my gravel, let it dry then filled half a bucket then poured in the binder. Agitate the stones so that they are all covered, drain out the surplus binder then poured out the stones onto the cement edging. I just patted the stones into place then stood on them to compact a bit. The instructions say up to 48 hours to dry but mine were dry and solid within a few hours on a nice day. Really pleased with the result and quite a few people have asked what I used. Highly recommend this product if you are looking to do something similar.

Sets gravel brilliantly if applied correctly. However, it takes time to mask off paving if adjacent to gravel as that stains but brickwork is fine. Leaves a shine which looks good but product is not cheap and that’s the only criticism.

We used this to help contain rubber bark within our kids play area. The rubber was literally getting everywhere, especially when the dog ran over it. Use the easihold to try and contain the majority, it worked reasonably well, though I would recommend doubling the quantity. I used 4 tubs for a 25m2 area. It is a nightmare to use with an airless garden sprayer. Resorted to watering can and rose.

WOW – what a life changer! I would honestly recommend this stuff to everyone who has garden stones. I had my own golden gravel chippings which kept getting everywhere even brought into the house some how. Our new puppy was always picking them up in his mouth too and that was getting a bit of a worry for us. We mixed the Easihold together with the chippings and trowelled this back down. It actually looks like we’ve paid for a Resin Bound pathway. Very happy customer!

I have used this product in my garden over an area of decorative gravel, small York Gold.
I have had this area used as a cat toilet for years and I’ve tried so many different ways to stop it, this is brilliant, it works, I applied it with a watering can and it started to set within the hour, it has set rock hard the colours in the gravel look lovely now and I’m so far free of cat poo!
The only negative is it does not go far, it does mention if using a watering can you get less coverage and spraying it on is better but my spray head blocked with the product so I had to switch to watering it on, that said it does the job perfectly
The area coverage I got from one 5 litre drum was approximately 7metres by 1metre

Easy to use either in pump up or hand operated sprayer. Gravel does not need to be saturated for the binder to be effective. When space between paving slabs is small, covering edges to prevent being sprayed on saves cleaning up later. Excellent product!

Used to fix decorative stones round my artificial lawn. Took two applications but has done the job. My particular stones were quite chunky too, much larger than 10mm but they have stuck together well. It has really brought out their colour also. My only gripe is that it is very expensive so not great value for money. However, I found it about 10 cheaper from Amazon on the day I purchased so not too bad I suppose. Also, got free standard delivery but got it the next day anyway!

Another area I fid had larger stones underneath then smaller on top but think product only went on smaller stones so some movement under foot but top stones still bonded so still good as we don’t have small stones going all over the place.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThere was a space between the paving slab and decking where we had placed small gravel. To stop the gravel moving each time we crossed it we decided to try Vuba Easihold Stone Binder to hold it in place. See the pictures it looks neat and tidy and seems to have worked we are also hoping it will stops the weeds. We used a pump stray and layered the gravel over a period of two weeks and allowed air to circulate but kept the rain off it. We are happy with the results and hopefully this will last a long time, we intend to top up the solution in 12 months time it is a shame we can’t use it on our gravel driveway as it looks really nice.

    This product really works!
I have a very steep gradient in rear garden and this has glued the gravel in place, brought out the colour and has added a sheen.
Expensive but does what it says.
    Great produc

Ok, this one has shocked me a little. Not wanting to use aggressive adhesives, I found this, and the reviews were promising, if your groundwork is correctly done, Hard core mid core and trail over you will not have any issues. I used a hand pump sprayers and a watering can to appply, mixing equipment would be better but this method works just fine

I bought these so my 1 year old doesn’t eat my stones! Great with a couple coats, I bought the sprayer too which was ideal. It doesn’t suggest the way I did but definitely holds well. My stones were like 2cm larger stones, for decorating edges, used them on walking areas too but they do come loose with foot traffic etc. I imagine it’s perfect for smaller stone. Great adhesion, expensive but it works and easy to use with the combined sprayer which was a tenner from Amazon too.

Superb! Great stuff will use agai

I needed to bind a small area of gravel for a table and two chairs. Using a watering can was ideal for me as it was easy to control and not too heavy. Easihold is a good product and I am very pleased with the result.

I work as a childminder, the children love filling and emptying the slate and stones around the garden. However we have recently put down some new grass as well as an area of astroturf.
I wanted to be able to have control of how much slate and stones are moved and in which areas of the garden. This product, although I felt expensive at the time has worked really well and actually I haven’t used as much as I’d thought. So it goes a fairly long way.

Excellent product, does exactly what it says on the tin. I have some awkward pebbles which would go everywhere and make walking on them difficult, but now they are solid and still look nice.

Downside it’s pricey, I’m going to have to spend hundreds on the front where I have a larger area I need to sort.

Amazing product, I used it to bind the 10mm gravel on a walkway (around 15-20m2) into the garden. I was apprehensive as some of the gravel was 300-400mm deep in places. I used 3.5 x 5L tubs and applied with a hand pressure sprayer over 2 days in warm weather.

The result is amazing and solid, I’ve taken the bins and many trips with a full wheel barrow over it and it hasn’t moved or rutted in the slightest.

Easy to apply (I mixed stones and Vuba in a bucket first) Brings out the colour of each stone and is touch dry within a hour in warm conditions. Just seems expensive for what it is.

The promotional video clearly shows the man drilling holes in the watering can. But the product container says do not drill holes. As a result we had to order more as we had prepared the materials according to the video. Annoying.

Easy to use, seems to have bonded pretty well. Be careful with the instructions on using a watering can, mine came out really quickly, could do with a finer rose when applying. Looks good though, pleased with it.

This resin is so easy to use and applies quickly using a standard garden sprayer. I used it to bond decorative slate chippings on a sloped surface and it has worked really well. After spraying on the first coat the bonding began to take effect after about 20 minutes and after 24 hours the adhesion was really good. I did apply a second coat and the result is excellent.

The product is milky white when you transfer it from the tub to your sprayer but it does dry clear.

Eventually did the job. Tried using a watering can first and not very good. But when mixed by hand has now done a very good job. Advise – use more than is specified on instructions.

After having some plumbing work done, which required a portion of my resin path dug up I could not find a company to do a repair without it costing a fortune due to equipment required to do the job.
I found Vuba Stone Binder on the web So I purchased the required gravel match and used the binder to secure the mix. The job was made easy using the pour over option of applying a very effective solution.

Golden Review Award: 24 From Our UsersI have a small area on my deck that i filled with decorative stones that i purchased from B&Q. The size of the stones varies from 8mm to 18mm. As the area is small, in the region of 1.5m x 1m and the coverage is 1 litre for 1 square meter i though i have ample product for many coats so it may work.

Note: i don’t wish to work to walk on this area, i just want to stop my kids from picking up the stones and also to make cleanup easier. Basically i want to use my blower to blow off any leaves and pine needles.

So, i have nothing in my favour! the stones are two large, not the correct shape and not washed etc.

    The Resuls:

Prep work: Washed 4 bags – 80+ kg and let them dry for a week.

1st coat: After applying the first coat (1.5 litres, with a spray bottle) and waiting 24 hours many of the stones were loose and it was crap! the area was covered with plastic to stop dirt/leaves getting stuck.

2nd coat: Applied another 1 litre and waited another 24 hours. Again area was covered, and it wasn’t much better.
At this point i was thinking of scrapping the idea and returning the product. Covered the area again and carried on with life.

3rd coat: Went back a few days later and i could see an improvement as the stones have bonded much better! At this point i applied another 1 litre but focused on area’s of loose stone and covered again.

Came back a few days later and removed the covering. The results are very good.

In total it took 3.5 litres + 7 days. I would wait at least 48 hours between coats and use a spray bottle for best results.

My Opinion: its done what i wanted, and looks good. Although i don’t wish to walk on this area and its purely decorative, i did stand on it and it feels solid! i have been over the area with my blower and brush and the stones didn’t move. Once the Shed arrives i will finish off the deck and remove the T&G boards.

Now i have another area i would like to tackle but its 8 square meter, if VUBA want to give me another tub i am more than happy to buy the gravel.

If this worked on gravel i purchased from B&Q (Blooma White Spar) it will most likely work on anything else up to 20mm.

    Thank you

    Expensive but does WORK!

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersLast Summer I cleared & rebuilt a Rockery on a steep bank. To keep out the weeds and grasses that had spoiled the rockery for a number of years, I covered it 2/3cm deep in 5/10mm stones. I also surrounded it with 10cm deep edging.
However, the rockery is surrounded by grass. Stones washed down onto the grass in heavy rain & despite being careful strimming the grass edges always flicked some loose stones onto the grass
Vupa Pour has completely remedied this situation. Very easy to mix, I replaced all stones along edging & between joining rocks. In fact anywhere that I noticed stones being washed down
Vupa was easy to work with, very easy to apply, dried over night, looks brilliant & performs a wonderful job

Golden Review Award: 28 From Our UsersDespite all the great reviews that led me to buy this, I was still slightly sceptical. How can something so easy to use be effective? Well having used this to bind pea gravel, I am blown away with the results. It is easy to apply (I used a sprayer), sets rock solid. And yet there is no discernable difference to how the gravel looked prior to application. There is no sheen or cloudiness left on the stone.

Word of advice, if you are applying coats on subsequent days, make sure you thoroughly rinse the sprayer. This is easy, being water based, but if you forget (like me), it will quickly block up the sprayer. User error, nothing to do with the product.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI Let my dog out first thing in the morning, he would spend an hour digging up the stones, I would then spend an hour putting them back. Poured on the product and it works, not one stone moved as I watched my very big German Shepherd spend a good hour trying every spot, he gave up and dug up the lawn instead.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our Usersput it in a large pump spray bottle and walked over stone spraying as I went it was that easy. I raked it quite smooth and then when sprayed walked over it to flatten it more. It has stuck much more than I thought but there is still some give which I like. Love this stuff made it so much cheaper to transform our whole fron garde

Golden Review Award: 64 From Our UsersShort review: expensive for what it is. I needed to apply two coats. But it does seem to work where other products have failed.

Detailed review: we have decorative gravel borders at the front of the house. Unfortunately neighbours’ cats use this area as an extended litter tray. I am out there every few days scraping the stuff up and it isn’t a pleasant task. Plus I have had to throw away more and more of the gravel over time. I tried numerous cat repellent products, none of it worked, even the ‘extra strength’ compound that smelt nearly as bad as the stuff it was supposed to prevent.

Because I’d had to throw so much gravel away, I had it all relaid and was determined not to go through the same cycle again so tried the Vuba solution.

Firstly, I think this is very expensive for what it is. A 5 litre drum costs 50, I bet it doesn’t cost them anything like 10 a litre to manufacture. It comes ready to apply, no need to dilute it or anything like that. I used a simple hand-pump garden sprayer to apply, followed the instructions, it was easy to use. No nasty solvent/chemical smell and it was easy to wash off my hands afterwards. Applied first coat in dry conditions, waited 24 hours, it didn’t seem to completely hold, some of the gravel was still loose (this may be because the gravel borders are deep in places). Gave it a second application, waited another 24 hours and this seemed to do it, really strong hold on the shingle this time. It dries with a nice sort of matt varnish effect.

It has now been down for a week and it has done the trick, it has bonded the shingle so we’ll that it is solid and now can’t be dug up by the cats and there has not been any mess at all to clear up. Just what I was after. It only remains to be seen how long it lasts when exposed to weather over the course of the year (not sure how it will hold up to baking sun, rain, frost etc but we will see).

Golden Review Award: 30 From Our UsersPurchased this product in order to fix some loose stones in my back garden – didn’t even realise you could do with your stones. Product came the next working day, with full instructions and the label was pretty handy.

The Easihold liquid doesnt work on driveways which is a shame, but good for walking over. I ended up using a pressure spray to apply mine, but I’ve seen that you can just pour it on.

It took about a day to fully dry, but I’m over the moon with the result, no more messy stones everywhere!
